Hello,I designed custom board with STM32MP157 and LPDDR3 memory. Due to PCB manufacture restrictions I needed to connect to ground unused signal called DDR_ATO. I want to know if this is a problem, because if it is the case I can just remove 1 ball from the IC and solder it like that, but maybe it is not necessary? Thank you, Dominik.
Good afternoon. I observe very strange behavior when the first few images received from the camera are normal, and then subsequent images are always shifted by 4 bytes. Initial data:1. I am using a STM32MP157A-EV1 device with a screen and camera on board.2. I use the official Distribution-Package firmware based on tag: openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-11-173. To work with the camera I use the following example: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/v4.11/media/uapi/v4l/capture.c.htmlReceiving images in STREAMING_ON mode, via MMAP.4. In the process_image function I print the first few bytes of each image. Output:root@stm32mp15-eval:~# ./visorik-v4l-exampleprocess_image 0FF D8 FF E0 00 10 4A 46 49 46 00 01 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 FF DB 00 43 00 04 03 03 04 03 03 04 04 03 04 05 04 04 05 06 0A ... - goodprocess_image 1FF D8 FF E0 00 10 4A 46 49 46 00 01 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 FF DB 00 43 00 04 03 03 04 03 03 04 04 03 04 05 04 04 05 06 0A ... - goodprocess_image 2FF D8 FF E0 00 10 4A 46 49 46 00
This guide uses ubuntu22.04 x86 pc(Probably the same on any other Linux system) as host, and mp2 as device.Its quite a common practice to use NFS as a medium to transfer cross compiled binary to dev board, since using sftp or scp to transfer the file every time you cross compile is tedious and time consuming. Install NFS server and prepare the export directory on host : sudo apt update && sudo apt install nfs-kernel-server sudo mkdir -p /host_export_srv_dir sudo chown -R nobody:nogroup /host_export_srv_dir sudo chmod 777 /home/srv Edit export file on host: sudo vim /etc/exports /home/srv *(rw,sync,no_subtree_check) Export the directory &

Good evening.I'm trying to use the ST's DDR FW UTIL (Github link) to test/verify DDR configuration with said project imported into STM32CubeIDE (latest version).I'm running into trouble with the HAL's RCC configuration in that whatever configuration (Enabled, Analog Bypass or Digital Bypass) I apply to the HSE I never see the HSERDY bit go high in the RCC_OCRDYR register. Without the ready bit going high a timeout occurs and the clock initialization routine fails.My reference is a 3.3V CMOS oscillator at 24.0 MHz. I've verified the output of the oscillator using an oscilloscope--it is proper frequency and waveform.I've also observed curious behavior with the RCC_OCENSETR in that HAL writes to the HSEBYP bit never read back high when stepping through in the (SWD) debugger. Writing to the same register with the debugger is also never able to set the HSEBYP bit.Any idea what might be happening? Thanks
Hello,I'm a newbie using Yocto so my question maybe doesn't make a lot of sense.I'm trying to add rust 1.78 to an existing image (STM32MP1 OpenSTLinux).1. I cloned the repo in the layers directory (git clone https://github.com/meta-rust/meta-rust.git) .2. I sourced my environment script (DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp15-disco IMAGE=st-image-weston source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.sh)3. I modified the file "layers/openembedded-core/meta/conf/distro/include/tcmode-default.inc" in order to change RUSTVERSION ?= "1.68%" to RUSTVERSION ?= "1.78%"4. I run bitbake-layers add-layer meta-rust5. I run bitbake-layers show-layers (my new layer is there : (rust-layer /home/hanoi/devel/STM32MP1/distribution-package/layers/meta-rust))6. I compile the image (bitbake st-image-weston)7. I can see the source files for rust-native-1.78.0-r0, cargo-native-1.78.0-r0 and rust-llvm-native-1.78.0-r0 are being fetched and unpackedNow the problems:compiling rust-native-1.78.0-r0-----------------
Following the instructions on the wiki page for getting started, the board does not appear over USB and cannot be recognised by STM32CubeProgrammer. Green power LED is on. Switches are in correct position. STLink is red light is blinking. Power rails seem fine, although DDR is 0 volts. I have tried two different computers, one Linux, one macOS and neither can detect the USB device or connect to it from STM32CubeProgrammer. I have also tried different cables.
Hello,I'm encountering an error during USBX initialization.Inside the _ux_device_stack_initialize function: memory = _ux_utility_memory_allocate(UX_NO_ALIGN, UX_REGULAR_MEMORY, sizeof(UX_SLAVE_CLASS) * UX_MAX_SLAVE_CLASS_DRIVER); When executing the _ux_utility_memory_allocate function, the error occurs at:_ux_system_mutex_on(&_ux_system -> ux_system_mutex); What could be causing this error?

There's a problem enabling QuadSPI in CubeIDE. After enabling QSPI and generating the code, compile errors occur.Here are the issues I've identified:XSPI_HandleTypeDef is not defined.There's no define related to QSPI (or XSPI) Enable in the stm32mp13xx_hal_conf.h file.Declarations for HAL_XSPI_MspInit and HAL_XSPI_MspDeInit functions' code are missing in the stm32mp13xx_hal_msp.c file.HAL_XSPI_MODULE_ENABLED is not present in stm32mp13xx_hal_conf.h. Thank you for your help.

Hi Team, We're currently facing challenges enabling HS200 mode for the eMMC in our STM32MP135 project. We'd appreciate your assistance in resolving these issues: Clock Speed Discrepancy: In CubeMX, we've configured the SDMMC1 and SDMMC2 clocks to 200 MHz. However, the observed output clock for the SDMMC (eMMC) interface is only 130 MHz. Delay Block Implementation: The reference manual mentions the use of a delay block. Could you please elaborate on how to implement this block to achieve the desired HS200 mode? If I set vmmc and vqmmc to 3.3V and 1.8V in the DTS, I encounter errors during the flashing process. Error messages are displayed while flashing. For your reference, we've attached screenshots of our current Device Tree Source (DTS) configuration and the terminal output. Please review these and advise if there are any missing elements or configurations. Thank youRaj
Currently, I am testing QuadSPI.Is it correct for the output to include Command / Address / Data?I want to output only Data. While I can remove the Address through settings, I couldn't remove the Command.Is it possible to output only Data?
Hi,I am using an STM32MP157_SOM interfaced with an LCD-OLinuXino-7TS screen. I have activated the splash screen for U-Boot and psplash in the kernel. The U-Boot splash screen works correctly. However, after the 'Starting kernel...' message, the screen goes black until the psplash is launched (17 seconds with the splash screen). I have included parts of the DTS for U-Boot and the kernel. Is there a way to keep the U-Boot screen displayed until the psplash launches? Hello,I am currently working on a project with the STM32MP131FA.We are testing various peripherals and modules on our board.When creating a project with STM32CubeMX, we encounter some issues. Therefore, we sometimes download and test DK examples on our board for comparison.For instance, we have successfully tested DDR initialization by modifying the PMIC I2C part.However, when running the USB example UX_Device_CDC_ACM, it does not work correctly at the Vector table.Could you help identify where I might need to make modifications?void Vectors(void) {__asm__ volatile(".align 7 \n""LDR PC, =Reset_Handler \n""LDR PC, =Undef_Handler \n""LDR PC, =SVC_Handler \n""LDR PC, =PAbt_Handler \n""LDR PC, =DAbt_Handler \n""LDR PC, =Rsvd_Handler \n""LDR PC, =IRQ_Handler \n""LDR PC, =FIQ_Handler \n");
Hello all,I'm working with STM32MP135F-DK board and GC2145 camera that comes with it. My main purpose is to get the image and save it. I tried to use the following documents for this:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_V4L2_camera_overview#Grab_a_raw_framehttps://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5478-stm32mp13x-lines-interfacing-with-a-mipi-csi2-camera-stmicroelectronics.pdfI didn't know how to do the "3.1-kernel configuration" step in the first link. So I followed the links below:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Menuconfig_or_how_to_configure_kernelAfter this link, I went to the following link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageAfter installing some packages here, I went back to the "menuconfig-how to configure kernel" link, and here I got stuck on the following step:I have the specified files but I don't know in which directory I should run the make config or make menuconfig commands.To be honest, I am new to embedded Linux and my ma
HiI have the same problem as described in the topic below:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mpus-products/usb-composite-in-stm32mp157c/td-p/142734I tried the solution from the above link. I see that I can set up several USB gadget devices, like NCM Ethernet + multiple ACM serial. But it doesn't work, e.g. I can set the 'usb0' interface link to 'up' and set the IP address to it, but I can't ping it from my laptop. At the same time, I can ping it when I have ONLY NCM Ethernet (without ACM devices).The same situation with ACM devices, it works only if I have only one. If I have more than one USB gadget device (at least 2), serial port either is always busy or transfer works only in one side (from device to laptop).I'm working on STM32MP135 Discovery kit (STM32MP135F-DK) with mickledore yocto provided by ST (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_Package).My otg config:usbotg_hs: usb@49000000 {compatible = "st,stm32mp15-hsotg", "snps,dwc2";reg = <0x49000000 0x40000
Hi everyone, I have been trying to get Docker running on the STM32MP135F-DK for quite some time now and have been running into some issues. I originally built an image for the STM32MP135F-DK with the Mickledore release by following this tutorial: Link. However, I kept running into issues trying to get Docker to run correctly. I was able to create an image successfully and install Docker-CE, however it seems the meta-virtualization layer is no longer supported for Mickledore so getting Docker to run correctly with Mickledore does not seem to be possible anymore. I can install Docker-CE and run docker commands, however starting the Docker "hello-world" container I get an error saying "ERROR: http: invalid Host header" after downloading the container. I know we have configured the kernel correctly (we have created images with the Dunfell branch on the STM32MP157 series and got docker to run containers correctly) so I do not think that is the issue. I saw that Kirkstone was still
