Hello, I was wanting to make my own camera board and I wanted to use the same camera that is on STM's Camera board MB1854 and I looked up that manufacturer part number (AS-BC538A3M6-63(1.02.A3265)) and nothing showed up, and when I looked up just AS-BC538A3M6-63 then the only result was STM's example schematic for the MB1854 camera board. I then tried looking up the company they listed on the BOM (HONGJIA) and still found nothing. Does anyone know how to find the board or even some contact info for that company? ThanksCarson

Hi,I was wondering if ST or any ST Partners are planning to produce a System-on-Module (SoM), System-in-Package (SiP) or Single Board Computer (SBC) based on the new STM32MP257 chips? We're planning to develop using the STM32MP257F-DK evaluation board then find a SoM, SiP or SBC that supports the STM32MP257's MIPI CSI-2 interface and ability to quickly wake from a low power sleep mode. Will
Hello ST Team and Community,I'm working with the STM32MP257F-DK board and exploring the provided AI demo examples. I noticed that most of the camera-related demos (especially those involving image inference or real-time processing) are designed around libcamera as the default source, as indicated in code snippets like:parser.add_argument("--camera_src", default="LIBCAMERA", help="use V4L2SRC for MP1x and LIBCAMERA for MP2x")While I understand that libcamera is appropriate for MIPI-CSI cameras (which MP2x supports), I'm currently using a USB UVC camera, which libcamera does not support. From what I know, USB webcams work well with V4L2 but are ignored by libcamera due to its pipeline design. My questions:Are there any official plans or guidance for supporting USB cameras on STM32MP2x using V4L2, especially in AI demos? Why is V4L2 support not more visible or included as an option in the MP2x examples, considering the popularity of USB webcams for quick prototyping?Would ST consider p
Is it mandatory to use a MIPI display in order to boot the system successfully? Is it not possible to boot using only an HDMI display?
Dear Team, I recently brought STM32MP257-DK. I am able to explore the A35 part. Also I am able to run the example projects provided by ST for M33 core. Since My application will have more dependencies on the Realtime and hence I wanted to create a separate project for M33 core from scratch. The example projects provided doesn't contains any .ioc file and hence I am not able to configure the project properly. can you please help me to create one. I have just attached my .ioc file in the following attachment. Thank you. Regards,Iqbal
I have been experiencing mixed results when booting up and programming a custom board using STM32MP131DAG7. Some of the custom boards boot up and program without issues. Other boards do not boot up or program. All the custom boards were built at the same time as part of the same batch. I would like some troubleshooting assistance Details of my custom board:STPMIC1DPQR to power the STM32MP131Switches on BOOT[0-2] to select the boot mode.Onboard eMMC and SD card slot.USB port for DFU via STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe to program the eMMC. On some of my custom boards, I successfully program the eMMC and the board will boot up into the OS perfectly fine. These boards also boot up via SD card perfectly fine when I set the BOOT switches to select SD card boot. Everything on the custom board functions as normal after successful program. In the same batch of my custom boards, I have seen ones that do not boot up. For these boards I have tried both USB boot and SD card boot. The t
Hello, we are currently designing a STM32MP257 based custom board. For reference, we are looking into STM32MP257F-EV1 and STM32MP257-DK evaluation kit schematics. In both schematics, there is an STM32 MCU which connects to the JTAG ports of the STM32MP257. Is this MCU used as an STLINK to provide JTAG to USB2.0 conversion? If so, if we are to implement the same structure on our board, is there a way to access the STLINK firmware and embed it into our own MCU? Furthermore, is there an external STLINK adapter dedicated for STM32MP25 series MPUs to access JTAG over USB?My second question is that can we program the MPU using the JTAG pins? Both in reference manual and datasheet of the MPU, there doesn't seem to be a boot mode setting for JTAG.

Hi,I have an STM32MP135F-DK board and I would like to know if to follow the steps in the video below I just need to install STM32CubeIDE on a computer running Linux or if I need to install something first?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEzfqKt3exEFor example, is it necessary to follow the steps corresponding to the links below first, or does the STM32CubeIDE installation itself and the sequence of steps in the video already do this?https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Install_the_SDKhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Create_a_simple_hello-world_applicationThanks, Ari
Hello,We have a custom board based mainly on stm32mp257-dk design. The sdcard supply voltage doesn't activate on STPMIC for some reason. Is the stpmic preprogrammed on the DK board or should the Rom code of the MPU activate it via I2C? Best RegardsRaimo
I understand that the STMCube environment doesn't function as a BSDL (Boundary Test) tool. Can anyone suggest a free tool that is compatible with the ST-LINK-V3SET?Keysight, Corsair, XJTAG are out of my rangeMy application is gather tools for board bring-up for our STM32MP255F prototype PCB.Thank you.
Following the instructions at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_start_the_Cortex-M_coprocessor_from_U-Boot#Manual_start I try to load and run an M33 app from U-Boot.Within the U-Boot console I managed to load the elf file from the boot partition. Hi,I'm just getting started with C programming for embedded Linux using the STM32MP13x. My applications are mostly IoT applications.I'd like to know which IDE is best for beginners, between STM32CubeIDE and Visual Studio Code. And where can I get information on how to configure these IDEs to compile and debug user-space C applications remotely?Ari
HelloWe are using the STM32MP257F in M33TDCID flavour using the packagestm32mp2-m33td-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.06.11We can boot and run the Non Secure application, but when we try to use some of the peripherals (I2C, SPI, GPIO)we see processor exceptions or Resource Manager issues. How do we configure the device to allow the Non-Secure application access to all the peripherals Thanks
Hello,I am working with a SOM based on the STM32MP157C and I am trying to bring up a display panel that uses the Sitronix ST7703 MIPI DSI controller. The operating system has been built with Yocto using the BSP provided by the SOM vendor. This BSP is based on Linux kernel 5.4, which unfortunately does not contain the upstream panel-sitronix-st7703 driver.Has anyone already backported the ST7703 panel driver to Linux 5.4 for STM32MP1 platforms? Or does anyone have guidance on how to integrate this driver into an older kernel version?Any hints, patches, or references would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!
Hello. We are developing a device with the STM32MP257 and we will not have a USB Type-C connector in our design. We plan to use the USB3DR as a USB2.0 device with a USB 2.0 connector to USB boot (USB boot for flashing). Does the STM32MP2 embedded bootloader uses the UCPD CCx signals? How can we inform the USB3DR about detection of the USB VBUS?Is is possible to emulate UCPD CCx signals (sink mode) from the USB VBUS as a variant of detecting the incoming USB power?Best regards,Vadim Aleynikov
On DK2, ADC is used to measure the voltage on cc lines, how to skipcan u give me the yocto steps to follow on commenting the following line in uBoot Device Tree:do u have to create a new layer or can we edit the patch file in the uboot device tree and build it.

I have had difficulties programming the STM32MP257 via stm32cubeide. I followed the first few steps to flash an OS image onto the board using the section populate and boot the image, from the STM website. When trying to flash IOC generated code via stm32 cube ide It gives me an ethernet over usb error if I have just the ST-LINK connected, but when I connect to the DFU usb, it seems like it will flash for a moment and throws this remoteproc error. I think it may be a secure boot issue with the stlinux, but im not sure how to get around this or what options I have.
Dear All,I'm having problem to get DFU over USB running on custom board. In general device can boot from SD card and with no SD card it can be detected via uart4 by STM programmer, so it enters DFU as far as I can tell.USB DP/DM is connected to DP2 (being pulled-up to ~3.3V) and DM2 (looks like a weak pull down). OTG_ID (PA10) hangs free and OTG_VBUS (U15) hangs free.3V3_USBHF+FS connected to LDO4 and present (3.3V)EDIT: 24Mhz xtal present, no 22Ohm series resistors and also removed all esd protection at this moment...Nothing happens on the USB lines when I connect the cable to the PC and the device is not detected. The voltage on the OTG_ID pin is LOW - which is strange, as is should be pulled up theoretically. Connecting OTG_VBUS (PA10) pin to VBUS from the connector does not change anything, that is - no detection, no communication, looks like my device behaves like a host.I could not find any reference design for USB connection, but I really thought it is so simple. Any suggestions
Hello Experts,Based on STM32MP257F-EV1 we have designed a custom board. For the DDR, PMIC, and eMMC we tried to follow the EV1 rooting as much as possible. There are few differences on the BOM though: Our DDR chips are Alliance Memory AS4C1G16D4A-62BCNOur eMMC is a Kingston EMMC32G-TS0A-01002We have build an image that can be flashed into the EV1's eMMC without any issues. Things go differently when we try to flash our 2 prototypes. The first prototype stops after having properly downloaded the partition 0x3 fip-stm32mp257f:12:15:04 : Number of partitions: 14 12:15:29 : USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s) 12:15:29 : Manuf. Hello,I am testing a custom board based on STM32MP257FAK3 with two DDR4 MT40A1G16RC-062E_B devices, for a total of 4 GB (32-bit width).I have correctly set up the main configuration files to work with the PMIC and UART. I also exported the PCB layout of the Ax pins using CubeMX and re-imported them into the DDR configuration file. The .stm32 image is successfully generated and uploaded through CubeProgrammer. I can also access the console and successfully complete steps 0 and 1.However, when reaching step 2, the initialization fails. After some investigation, it seems that the failure occurs during training after the PHY configuration, specifically in the function: ddrphy_phyinit_usercustom_g_waitfwdone()At this point, the call to get_major_message() always returns 0xFF, which causes the program to enter the failed state. My questions are:Could this be related to incorrect training values not being properly written into the RAM?Or is it more likely that the PHY is not synchron
Hello, I am working with the STM32MP135F-DK development board and trying to interface the onboard GC2145 camera with the STMIPID02 MIPI-to-parallel bridge. The goal is to convert the camera's MIPI output to parallel data, which is then received by the DCMIPP peripheral.During debugging, I encountered a strange issue: after each power-on reset, there is only about a 10% chance that the system successfully receives continuous image frames. In the remaining 90% of cases, the DCMIPP does not receive any image data at all.I conducted further investigation and found that in the failure cases, the VSYNC signal output from the STMIPID02 goes high only once at startup and then remains constantly high. However, the HSYNC, PCLK, and DATA signals appear to be in the same state as during normal operation. Additionally, the STMIPID02’s ERROR signal remains low (indicating no error), and the INT signal stays high (indicating an interrupt condition).Given this situation, I would like to ask what could
