Board: STM32MP157A-DK1Situation: I have the release 2.6-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-02-20 on the A7 core running. I created a simple FreeRTOS LED app with the latest CubeMX for the M4 core. The FreeRTOS interface ist CMSIS V2. The SYS Timebase Source is TIM7. The DefaultTask toggles LED7.Problem: In production mode the function osKernelStart returns the osErrorISR state. I figured out that the IPSR holds the value 71 dec. For test case i included the following code on top of the main.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ volatile uint32_t result; __ASM volatile ("MRS %0, ipsr" : "=r" (result) ); __ASM volatile ("nop"::); /* USER CODE END 1 */ . . . }result already has the value 71 when M4 firmware starts. I expect the value 0 because there is no ISR at that time.If the MP1 is in engineering mode, the scheduler starts normal and result is 0.Can somebody explain that behavior? Is it possible that the A7 core sets the value in the IPSR?Thx for your help.
I compiled uboot and Linux kernel packages, used a brand new SD card.and used "sgdisk" to divide them into five areas. fsbl1,fsbl2,ssbl,bootfs,rootfs.Use the following command to complete the burning of u-boot:--------------------------------------------------- for basic boot mode : <SDCard dev> = /dev/sdb1 # dd if=u-boot-spl.stm32 of=/dev/sdb1p1 # dd if=u-boot-spl.stm32 of=/dev/sdb1p2 # dd if=u-boot.img of=/dev/sdb1p3--------------------------------------------------Using "dd" command, sdb1p1, sdb1p2 and sdb1p3 will be produced in dev directory. Sdb1 is the name of my SD card. Now I have a problem copying files to bootf and rootfs. Readme.how to.txt is as follows:--------------------------------------------------* kernel + devicetree$> cd <path to install_artifact dir>/install_artifactVerify sdcard are mounted on your Linux PC: /media/$USER/bootfs$> cp -r boot/* /media/$USER/bootfs/Depending of your Linux config
I have problems with different SDIO WiFi Modules on the stm32mp157-dk2. Those Modules are connected to the sdmmc3. The modules are qca9377-3 and wilc3000. Both Modules are slow compared to the on the dk2 embedded device and both are slow compared to its adaption to the rpi 3b+. I have tested against 4.19.9, 4.19.49 and 4.9.82 (git). Below are Messages from those drivers indication there is something wrong. Switching debug on #echo -n 'module mmc_core +p' > /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control #echo -n 'file sdio_irq.c +p' > /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control does not show any error messages.I suspect with the sdio implementation on the stm, but I am not sure about that. When I tested the qcacld-2.0 driver on the 4.9.82 Kernel the message did not come up again, but in the transfer speed did not change. For the qcacld Driver I have implemented the usage of an out of band irq with a gpio but again without gaining any performance.Looking at the mmc driver mmci.c and mmci
We designed our own board and use RTL8211E instead of RTL8211EG-VB-CG. We are unable to get the PHY device to respond although we copy the same circuit from the MB1262. The MAC is working but the communication to Realtek PHY seems to be a problem. Does the current kernel build support RTL8211E?
According to the documentation of the EV1 eval board:"The STM32MP157xAA3 also drives a sub system reset, SUB_NRST signal on PD10 IO, to the peripherals: USB Host Hub, MFX, Ethernet, and RGB_LTDC connector."Is this signal generated automatically by the STM32MP157? Is it software controlled? If the latter, is this implemented in OpenSTLinux images by default? Thanks,Guillermo
Hi,I am building openstlinux-weston/st-image-weston image for stm32mp157c-dk2 board, and I have developed 2 application to be displayed at the same time. I configured DSI and HDMI with Buildroot, for the last one I followed this wiki: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_display_on_HDMI, but I would like to know if there is a way to display 2 different application on the 2 interfaces at the same time.Regards.Aitor.
Hello all,I am trying to use the SPEAKER_OUT connector in the STM32MP157C-EV1 board to play sound using a set of regular 8 Ohm (non-amplified / passive) loudspeakers.I am configuring the wm8994 to enable the SPKOUTL/RP path as described here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Soundcard_configuration#Wolfson_wm8994_output_configurationWhen I play a sound file via ALSA (using aplay), the sound signal is very weak. I can hear the sound if I connect a headphone set to the SPEAKER_OUT connector, but not if I connect the regular loudspeakers. If I am reading the wm8994 datasheet correctly, the SPKOUT path includes a 2W amplifier. Do I have to do anything else in order to enable it?BR,Guillermo
Hey all,I have a STM32MP157C-DK2 developer board with screen and i am trying to get node.js running on it. Has anyone done this before? I know the board is pretty new, released in Oktober. But worth a shot.ThanksRinke
I'm trying to find a solution to a problem using vision, I discovered the 'MPU' line with the STM32MP157C-DK2 but while investigating I cannot find CSI input or even a camera input. While I enjoy playing with USB based cameras it is 2019 and everyone has moved on to CSI based cameras, using parallel cameras is so 2013... It also appears everything is disconnected, what use is a AI based system for CNN networks if you cannot hook up a camera? Talking with Amazon?Does STM have a vision based STMxx product?
Is it possible to use opengl without wayland?the /vendor/lib libraries have dependency to libwaylandand as far as i am aware these libraries are binary only.are there other versions of the libraries that can work with fb, without x or wayland?otherwise this is a pretty significant limitation, if opengl is wayland only
hi,I can start the weston demo program by burning the same system to sdcard, but cannot start it by burning to emmc. And I found that the vendorfs and userfs partitions were not mounted
Hello, I'd like to install Python dependencies to run a RTL-SDR python program on the discovery kit and I failed to execute the following command line below : apt-get install python-numpy (or python3-numpy). Do you know how to install numpy on the DK2 ?BR
Hello,we would like to boot from a eMMC memory on our board connected to SDMMC2. As the camera interface is in conflic with SDMMC2 8bit mode, we must configure it as a SDMMC 4 bit width. The question is will we still me able to boot from our eMMC memory in 4 bit mode as we do in 8 bit ? The memory we use is the following MTFC4GACAJCN-1M from MicronTanks for your support.
My STM32MP157CAA3 Board Not Boot By SDCARDI already check SDCARD Clock Pin .. ...reset MCU and i check SDCARD Clock Pin ... but not signal ....);I already check Boot MODE -> SDCARDHELP ME...
Hi everyone. I have a STM32MP157A-DK1 with a developer package. My goal is to install iperf. But I'm not familiar with OpenSTLinux and Yocto. Apt-get and dpkg do not allow to install iperf. What is the simplest way to install 3rd party util (iperf in my case) on the STM32MP157A kit? Thanks in advance.

I have evaluated the VisualGDB IDE and I am quite excited about the hassle less user experience.Setup of a project for the Cortex M4 core is almost as easy as setup a Windows project.Debugging of the Cortex M4 application is possible over ST-Link. The application is uploaded into the Linux file system an started by the Debugger. Using the debugger is almost as easy as using the Visual Studio debugger. User experience is far better than with the SW4STM32 IDE I tried before. Everything is done in the Windows environment and the ARM cross compiler for Windows will be automatically downloaded and installed.Developing a Linux application with VisualGDB is also possible. This is the next thing I will try.https://visualgdb.com/w/tutorials/tag/stm32mp1/
