Hi,I want to connect some shields/sensors to STM32MP157C-DK2. Some of the sensors will draw about 200mA. How much current can I draw from the 5V/3V3 pins on the GPIO expansion connectors? The STM32MP157C-DK2 is powered over USB-C 5V/3A. OpenSTLinux is running on A7 and firmware on M4regardsLukas
When I run the openamp image through linux command prompt, the application working fine. The RPMSG devices is created successfully. But when I've tried to run it from uboot, it stuck at MX_OPENAMP_Init(). This should be ok because I assume linux isn't running yet. After I've tried to delay the application for one minute (assuming linux is booted up properly), it still stuck there.I need a very-fast M4 booting, with RPMSG feature (ok to be delayed).Hence it must be run from U-Boot. Is this kind of requirement possible? Please help.

Hello everyone.I am introducing me on this world of multiprocessors, by the moment I only had worked with NUCLEO-F3 boards or similar. For my new research, I plan to purchase a SOM + Carrier board with the STM32MP157C microcontroller. My intention is to use Linux or Android, but I have many doubts. The main ones would be,Can I mount the operating system on the A7 processors and program the M4 from STM32CubeIDE or Keil or similar? Where can I find out how to do it?Regarding OpenSTLinux or Android, is there information about the distribution? Can python 3 run on it?From now on, thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience.Best regard, Juan.
I used the i2c4 for sii9022 chip, but it always busy and don't response for hdmi plug in.
We have made a custom board with an STM32MP157CAD MPU, this board is very similar to the DK2. We have adapted an LCD driver to support our LCD screen, over the DSI interface. It works, both on the DK2 with our own LCD screen, and on our custom board with the same LCD screen, but on our custom board, the colours are less bright than on the DK2. We have already checked: the kernel is the same, the driver is the same, the voltage backlight is the same.Is there some reason why our LCD is duller? Possibly a wrong colour space or gamma correction, but where are those specified? We use neither Wayland nor X11, we use the "modetest" test program to show the SMPTE test pattern, as explained on <https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/DRM_KMS_overview#modetest_-28DRM-2FKMS_test_tool-29>, with a "modetest -M stm -s 29@32:480x800-60" command.
Hello,I am fairly new to Linux and am trying to drive a DSI display using the STM32MP15-DK2 (not the one that came with the board) and was looking for some direction. I have been reading through the documentation related to DSI such as the DSI Internal Peripheral Description and DRM/KMS Framework Overview. What I need help with is figuring out where to start. I was thinking I will need to use the STMCubeMX tool to configure the host peripheral for my specific screen, then use Menuconfig to set up the kernel to run DSI, then configure DSI in the device tree? Any help is appreciated!
Hi Support Team,Please help me to get the answers for below questions.1) Does STM32MP1 support double framebuffer ?2) If it supports then how can we allocate memories for two framebuffer ?3) If not then how can we avoid tearing effects using one framebuffer ?Thanks in advance.Regards,Shree
Hi,I would like to develop IoT solutions around STM32MP157C-DK2. What is the normal process to launch STM32MP157C based customized board as a IoT gateway. Do we need to go through any certifications? Thanks,Naveen
hello alli have a STM32MP157C-EV1, and I want to build an m4 core development and debugging environment in minimal "st-image-core".M4 firmware created using "STM32CudeIDE" can be debugged in "st-image-weston", but an error occurs in "st-image-core".What items should be added to "st-image-core.bb" to work normally?error message :[ 100.552483] remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m4[ 100.555897] remoteproc remoteproc0: Direct firmware load for OpenAMP_TTY_echo_CM4.elf failed with error -2[ 100.571270] remoteproc remoteproc0: request_firmware failed: -2[ 100.575829] remoteproc remoteproc0: Boot failed: -2I will wait for your reply.
Hi!I am trying to compile a project from several files in Eclipse.Function print_hello() defined in another file N222.Resulting error: undefined reference to `print_hello 'What am I doing wrong? regards Alexander
Os - Ubuntu 16.04, board - STM32MP157C-DK2, language - С
I downloaded, installed and configured Eclipse, Version: 2020-03 (4.15.0), UBUNTU 16.04 LTSWrote a simple program:#include <stdio.h>#include <stdlib.h>int main(void){ printf( "Hello world\n" ); return 1;}compiles without errors :)But, when I run on the board, it gives an error:Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-lookup.c: 948: _dl_setup_hash: Assertion `(bitmask_nwords & (bitmask_nwords - 1)) == 0' failed!if I compile this program, as shown in the example in the Wiki "Create a simple hello-world application", then everything works fine.i think something with eclipse settings.Did anyone have this?Sincerely, Alexander
Does anyone have some real data on speed difference between 8 or 16 bit Nand flash (with the bootloader and the kernel) on the STM32MP157 ?at bootduring normal operation
Hi all,The default network setup on the "st-image-core" image is to use IP V6 alone it seems which does not work for me.How to set this for v4 default for all interfaces ?
Hello,I am looking for the appropriate kernel configuration options for the audio controller in the STM32MP157, and the specific driver setup details for the audio codec on the DK2 board. I am Using Buildroot to build the system image.
Hi, I use display function on my custom boards. The board A use HDMI, RGB LCD and MIPI. The board B use RGB LCD and MIPI.Now the board B has some issue on MIPI display function. The board A configltdc endpoint reg = <0> for HDMI, workltdc endpoint reg = <1> for RGB LCD or MIPI, workbut not work when setting reg = <2> for MIPI.The board B configltdc endpoint reg = <0> for RGB LCD, workltdc endpoint reg = <1> for MIPI, not workwhen swap this reg number , the RGB LCD and MIPI are works.Does the MIPI need specific reg number or not? How I correctly configure it when using these display function in difference situation?
Hi all, I use PZ7 and PZ6 configure for usart1. But it show some error log.[ 1.633566] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: invalid function. [ 1.640375] stm32-usart: probe of 5c000000.serial failed with error -22It's right when II try to use another pins . Did you also had this issue?
I have a STM32MP157A-DK1 board. I can't connect to it via ST-Link Utility. It says the target is not detected. Although if I select "Firmware Update" from ST-LINK menu, it updates the firmware of the board (the red-green led blinks etc). But can't connect otherwise.I tried moving the BOOT0 and BOOT2 pins on-off in every combination, tried inserting and removing the SD Card, plugging and unplugging the USB-C power cable. I have installed all ST-Link drivers and reinstalled them, etc, etc... I even tried all the possible options at the target settings screen, but to no avail. Can anyone offer me a solution?
I need to build a system for nandflash, unfortunately something went wrong, and I don't know how to fix it

Hello,I'm trying to connect stm32mp157c-dk2 board with another device over FDCAN in engineering mode (MCU single core) using CN2 pin 3 and 5 (stm32 PA12 and PA11 pins respectively). Though I can initialize and request to use FDCAN1 from resource manager utility without any error, FDCAN related interrupts still don't get fired. Do I need to assign RX/TX pins to M4 FDCAN1 in tf-a, u-boot or kernel device trees.

Hello,I'm new on STM32MPU and I trying this tutorial : https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Distribution_Package#Adding_a_-22hello_world-22_user_space_exampleI'm stuck at point 7 (Adding a "hello world" user space example) because when I run this command : devtool deploy-target -s myhelloword1 root@192.168.7.1 there is an error :ERROR: No files to deploy - have you built the myhelloword1 recipe? If so, the install step has not installed any files.I followed the tutorial, create the hello_world_example folder and add the .c file (anyway no make file is present), add the recipe and modified it according with the tutorial.Any suggestions ?ThanksRiccardo
