Hi!We are planning a product and have considered the STM32MP157 as a basis. Our test platform is the STM32MP157F-DK2 running a locally built Yocto Project image (openstlinux-eglfs distro, st-example-image-qt image) based on meta-st-stm32mp, meta-st-openstlinux, and meta-qt5 layers. The goal is to run a Qt application containing an OpenGL widget mixed with Qt UI elements at 60 Hz frame rate, but on a display bigger than the one shipped with the Discovery Kit.We are currently testing with two different 480x1280 panels with custom drivers. The displays are actually running at 60 Hz as confirmed by hardware measurements. We also see 60 frames with watch -n 2 "grep user_updates /sys/kernel/debug/dri/*/state" while running glmark2-es2-drm (for the first two benchmarks at least).This all seems good, still we are unable to achieve full frame rate with even the simplest Qt5 application (a plain QOpenGLWidget (showing a black screen) embedded into a QWidget, where the QOpenGLWidget gets update()
Hello everyone,We are at the beginning of the development phase for creating FPV-drones.I would like to transmit the video signal (FPV) of a camera, e.g. the RPI-22 camera, via radio over a distance of 2 km or more from the STM32MP25x-EV1 evaluation board (STM32MP257F-EV1). The received video signal should be displayed on the screen of a laptop. Unfortunately my research didn't lead to any results. Can you please describe to me which development boards I can use for the following operations:Decoding the video signal: STM32MP25x-EV1 Evaluation board (STM32MP257F-EV1)Board for the radio transmission of the video signalAntenna for transmittingBoard for receiving the video signalAntenna for transmittingDecoding the video signal and outputting the video on the laptopThank you for the service.Best regardsThomas Hollander
I have carefully followed the getting started guide for the STM32MP157x-EV1 board. All the steps I took were successful until I reached the "Execute basic commands" section where I am instructed to run the following command:ls /dev/ttyACM*The expected output is/dev/ttyACM0but when I tried running it, no such file was found. With the evaluation board recently connected to my PC through the board's ST-LINK/V2-1 port, the "sudo dmesg" command reveals the following issues: [ 2144.431929] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd [ 2144.563977] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2144.803980] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.039934] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd [ 2145.171984] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.411986] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.524053] usb usb5-port1: attempt power cycle [ 2145.935943] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device numb
I have tried several times to find the datasheet of the M4 coprocessor inside the MP15xx but actually I was not able to find it. Can someone please point me to the download location?
I followed the instructions on https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Distribution_Package&sfr=stm32mpu to flash my build image on my STM32MP15. After step 6: Where I build the image with the command "bitbake st-image-weston" I go to "STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.0.0/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp15-disco/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-disco/flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsv" (From Developer Package (SDK) have been built for this st-image-weston image in the documentation). When I tried to flash it to the board with "STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsv" I received "Error: File does not exist: /home/nesnes/STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.0.0/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp15-disco/tmp-glibc/deploy/images/stm32mp15-disco/flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/st-image-bootfs-openstlinux-weston-stm32mp15-disco.ext4 Error: TSV flashing service failed" Even
I created a project using the default port assignments for the STM32MP157D-DK1 board in STM32CubeIDE v1.16 and was able to build it successfully. Following the example of the STM32MP157 Workshop videos I used Device Tree Compiler to create .dtb files from the .dts/.dtsi files, however I got the same syntax error for the kernel, optee-os,tf-a and u-boot .dts files:$ dtc -I dts -O dtb -p stm32mp157d-240702_stm32mp157-dk1-mx.dtb stm32mp157d-240702_stm32mp157-dk1-mx.dts Error: stm32mp157d-240702_stm32mp157-dk1-mx.dts:13.1-9 syntax error FATAL ERROR: Unable to parse input treeHowever the videos do not go into how to use Device Tree Compiler to create the .dtb filesLooking at one of the .dts files starting at line 13:#include <dt-bindings/pinctrl/stm32-pinfunc.h> #include "stm32mp157.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15xd.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15xxac-pinctrl.dtsi" #include "stm32mp15-m4-srm.dtsi" /* USER CODE BEGIN includes */ #include <dt-bindings/gpio/gpio.h> #include <dt-bindings/mf
@Erwan SZYMANSKI I have followed the instructions on "https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Distribution_Package&sfr=stm32mpu"I received these warnings during the built and errors in the end. Hello all,I'm using STM32MP135F-DK, taking picture with GC2145 camera and converting 1600x1200 raw image to png/jpeg formats to use later. I'm doing these according to the document at below link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_V4L2_camera_overviewI calculated how much time spent for below script:##### 2 MP Setup media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':1[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_dump_postproc':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" ##### 2 MP Capture v4l2-ctl --set-fmt-video=width=1600,height=1200,pixelformat=RGBP --stream-mmap --stream-count=1 --stream-to=grab-1600x1200-rgb565.raw ##### 2 MP Convert gst-launch-1.0
Hello,I am trying to capture images from OV5640 on STM32MP135F-DK.When I connect GC2145 camera, I succesfully list devices like below:I removed GC2145 on the ST camera board and connected OV5640, like below image: But when i try to list devices, /dev/media0 is not visible. How can i get images from OV5640?
Dear. All. I have one problem. until now, I used well to connect with USB OTG interface. I've been using USB C to USB A cable. and then, we have no problem. but, I found a problem at using USB C to USB C connectivity. the PC & my MP151C board didn't recognize each other. I'll use my device for slave. our circuit as bellow. thank you.
As I find that the qt layer has been removed from the ditribution package, and no qt ducumentation on wiki is available, does that mean qt is not supported for the stm32mp series?
I'm using the Board STM32MP157F-DK2 on a Linux Ubuntu 22.04I was trying to follow the 1.3.1 step at 'https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-AI_Starter_package#Install_all_X-LINUX-AI_packages', when this happened: ~ apt-get install ./apt-openstlinux-ai_1.0_armhf.deb Reading package lists... Dear STM: We have the following questions to consult: ①Does the PA10 of STM32MP157AAD3T have a pull-up resistance inside the OTG_ID pin function?Do I need an external pull resistor when doing OTG ID function at the same time?If so, what is the resistance value of the external pull-up resistor? ②What is the maximum capacity supported by the emmc chip attached to the EMMC interface of STM32MP157AAD3T? ③When the emmc interface of STM32MP157AAD3T supports the speed of HS200, what is the power supply mode of the external EMMC chip? Our power supply method is shown in the attached picture, please help evaluate whether it can be satisfied. If not, could you recommend the design schematic diagram of EMMC supporting HS200 speed? ④Could you provide the reference design of STM32MP157AAD3T? &
Hello. I am desperately trying to connect a St Link (V2 and V3) to a news card. The chip is an STM32MP135. This component is equipped with lines allowing connection via the SWD protocol. However, the STM is not recognised. How can I hope to contact the chip via SWD?Thank you very much!
Hi, can someone help with ADS124S08 SPI ADC and its linux driver? I think the driver is correctly probed. I see /sys/devices/platform/soc/44004000.spi/spi_master/spi0/spi0.0/iio.device0/in_voltage0raw ...etc but it seems the device does not reply.This is my device tree configuration:&spi1 { status = "okay"; pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&spi1_pins_a>; cs-gpios = <&gpioz 3 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; #address-cells = <1>; #size-cells = <0>; adc@0 { compatible = "ti,ads124s08"; reg = <0>; /* CS #0 */ spi-max-frequency = <1000000>; spi-cpha; reset-gpios = <&gpioi 2 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; }; };First, i don't see the cs going low when i try to read the voltages. Should the driver do that?Second, the driver ti-ads124s08.c itself seems a bit incoherent with the datasheet. it defines the start conversion command as in the datasheet but then never uses it and instead it uses a made-up command.#define ADS124S08_CMD_START 0x08 #def
Hello everyone,I want to develop a project for STM32MP1 using stm32cubeIDE Version: 1.15.1. In the yocto-related part of the topic, I successfully compiled a kernel and produced an SDK for the relevant kernel. I want to import this SDK into the cubeide environment and start with a ledBlinky application. But I couldn't import the SDK.I have reviewed what is explained in forums and blogs, but I constantly encounter error messages. Below is the location of the .sh file of the SDK I produced. And I keep getting the following error. What I want to do is to use my own SDK for mickledore, not the SDK offered by ST.Sinceley
I'm starting to check the documentation for the STM32MP1 MPU and I'm reading the Install the SDK guide. Everything in the instructions works perfectly fine except this:$CC --version Which is the second to last instruction to verify if the environment is correctly setup. The article says I should see this:arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi-gcc (GCC) 12.3.0 Copyright (C) 2022 Free Software Foundation, Inc. This is free software; see the source for copying conditions. There is NO warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.But I see this:no such file or directory: arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi-gcc -mthumb -mfpu=neon-vfpv4 -mfloat-abi=hard -mcpu=cortex-a7 --sysroot=/home/user/Projects/STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.1.0/Developer-Package/SDK/sysroots/cortexa7t2hf-neon-vfpv4-ostl-linux-gnueabi Is there something missing in the instructions? Or did I do something wrong? I just followed all the steps exactly as mentioned in the article.
I just received my STM32MP135F-DK in the mail today. I was able to use STM32CubeProgrammer v2.16.0 to populate the device using the Starter Package, which I downloaded from here:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1starter.html#st-get-softwareThe file I downloaded was named:en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6-1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23-06-21.tar.gzAnd the file that I used in the STM32CubeProgrammer to download the firmware to the device was named:FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp135f-dk-optee.tsvAfter downloading the firmware to the device and toggling the switches to the correct mode, I powered up the device and the display never turned on. However, I was able to open a terminal on the device through the serial connection.Everything seems to be working fine as far as the terminal is concerned. I even managed to connect the device to my home network and SSH into it.The LCD display shows no signs of life. I've never seen the splash screen, or even a flicker out of it. There i
Hello everyone, if you can help me it's urgent.Here I have a powerful Linux board development platform STM32MP157-MINI,SOM board 1GB RAM + 8GB eMMC + integrated MCU from Alientek:https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV15U4y1E7Bh/https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=652298605967&last_time=1717185641&scm=1007.13982.82927.0&spm=a1z2k.11010449ALIENTEK released src to build image fast:I have these scripts in the src folder but I don't understand how to build an image with the mapping of the analog IO and PWM IO on the board,Is there a script to quickly map Analog and PWM pins on the board from an analog device tree or other quick technique? Hello, I am trying to create a new STM32 baremetal project for STM32MP131Axx. Errors occurred when to build the project that ADC2 is enabled by using STM32CubeMX.'ADC1' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'ADC2'? stm32mp13xx_hal_adc.c line 2786'ADC1_COMMON' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'ADC2_COMMON'? stm32mp13xx_ll_adc.h line 1970 STM31MP131Axx has only ADC2 but the FW package seems to expect the definition of ADC1 exists. I avoid these errors by modifying "stm32mp131axx_ca7.h" as below since I though it is better not to change "stm32mp13xx_hal_adc.c" and "stm32mp13xx_ll_adc.h" because they are common files for STM32MP13 series.#define ADC1 ((ADC_TypeDef *) ADC2_BASE) #define ADC1_COMMON ((ADC_Common_TypeDef *) ADC2_COMMON_BASE) #define ADC2 ((ADC_TypeDef *) ADC2_BASE) #define ADC2_COMMON ((ADC_Common_TypeDef *) ADC2_COMMON_BASE) I would be appreciated if you could explain the better way to avoid these erro

I'm attempting to run a critical process on Core 1 (A7 processor) while keeping all other processes on Core 0. I've had success with 'taskset' to get my critical process assigned to Core 1. I'm struggling with how to default all other processes to run on Core 0. Can someone show me how to do this on the supplied OpenSTLinux platform for this processor? The internet mentions isolcpus a lot but I'm not finding support for that command on this processor. How can it be done?
