As the title says, I'm working with ecosystem 5 on a custom board with bootchain DTB files generated by CubeMX and modified according to lab material for the STM32MP1 workshop presentation "Lab-MP15_FromPartNumber_To_BasicDeviceTree_with_CubeMx.pdf". My high level goal is to build a bootchain capable of programming an eMMC via USB DFU.When I load the TF-A and then FIP that I've built via USB-DFU I get an OP-TEE panic:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP153CAC Rev.ZNOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21INFO: PMIC version = 0x21INFO: Reset reason (0x15):INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por)INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe2000INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_ioINFO: Using USBINFO: Instance 2INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r1.0(debug):()NOTICE: BL2: Built : 15:37:50, Jul 29 2024INFO: BL2: Doing platform setupINFO: RAM: DDR3-DDR3L 16bits 533000k
Hello,I’m using the Developer package on the STM32MP157D-DK1. # cat /sys/kernel/tracing/available_tracersnop What ways do I have to enable more tracers? Thanks
Hi ~I am using STM32MP157F MPU with my custom board. Touch controller is TSC2007 with resistive touch screen. I already checked st wiki. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_calibrate_the_touchscreenbut, unfortunately I don't use Weston. I am using Embedded Wizard GUI development tool. How to calibrate touch screen in non-Weston ?Thanks ~
Hi , I'm looking to configure a few GPIO pins on the STM32MP13x processor as wake-up sources. I've referred to the following link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_PWR_Wake-up_pinsI want to configure the GPIO-G7 pin as a wake-up source to bring the system out of deep sleep. The necessary changes have been made in our device tree files.I updated the changes in the device tree file and was able to compile without errors. However, I'm encountering the following errors while flashing the image.--------Logs---------------------------------------I/TC: Non-secure external DT foundI/TC: Embedded DTB foundI/TC: OP-TEE version: 3.16.0-dev (gcc version 11.3.0 (GCC)) #8 Fri Jan 28 02:28:18 PM UTC 2022 armI/TC: WARNING: This OP-TEE configuration might be insecure!I/TC: WARNING: Please check https://optee.readthedocs.io/en/latest/architecture/porting_guidelines.htmlI/TC: Primary CPU initializingI/TC: WARNING: All debug access are allowedE/TC:0 0 stm32mp1_pwr_irq_probe:349 Missi
Hello STM32 MPU Community,I am currently working on enabling secure boot on the STM32MP157C and have been following the instructions from this STMicroelectronics Wiki. I am using a serial cable to view the U-Boot terminal. Upon startup, the terminal displays the message shown in the attached image. I am booting from an SD card, and the process halts with the following error message:```ERROR: Secured chip must enable TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT```I would greatly appreciate any guidance or steps to resolve this issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, what solutions have you found effective?Thank you in advance for your assistance!Best regards
Hello Folks,I am trying to port mainline linux kernel version 6.8 on stm32mp157c-dk2 board. When I flash mainline kernel image on stm32mp157c-dk2 board, kernel is not getting started.Could anyone please guide me here? How we can boot mainline kernel with stm32mp157c-dk2 board device?Any steps that I can follow and achieve booting device. Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am trying to work on the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board and am running into an interesting issue. Whenever I have both the USB (For booting) and the ST-Link (For power and using minicom) plugged in at the same time booting the image to the board doesn't work, it will boot up to partition 0x03 and then reconnect and start over until I force cancel it. Is there anything I can do in order to allow both of those to be plugged in at the same time? Thanks,Carson
Hello, I am currently working on bringing up a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and I am having troubles. I am working on getting the STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.1.0 working so that I can start working on the board with Cube Programmer but all the online resources on how to get that installed are done through Linux and I am operating off windows. Is there anywhere where I can just do 1 install like for the starter-package? Or if not is there anywhere where there are Windows instructions? Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks!Carson Kirk
Hello, I have made a lot of posts over the last few days while trying to bring up an ST development board trying to fix the issue, and I think I finally figured out what's wrong. I am following two guides being these sources: STM32MP25 Evaluation boards - Starter Package - stm32mpu and Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu. I am using a windows computer, and I now see that it is because I don't have VMWare, and upon going to your link in the PC prerequisites tab it leads to a download page in which hasn't been working for a while it seems, I am wondering if anyone knows any alternate download spots, I can go in order to get the required software. Thanks!
Hello, I am working on bringing up the STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and have a question. I was wondering if the SD card is actually required or if it and the EMMC are completely interchangeable and the whole board can work off completely off the EMMC. Thanks!Carson
Hello, I am trying to populate the EMMC on the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board using a USB connection and I am running into a strange issue. I am trying to download the file from this wiki: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu and specifically trying to download "FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-m33-examples-optee.tsv". When I do this everything seems fine at first. But it looks like the download may be in an infinite loop. Hello, I am trying to boot an EMMC with a USB on a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and am having troubles. I set the boot pins to what is said in the data sheet for EMMC (That being Boot2 is set to 1 and the rest 0) The USB is no longer an option to connect to. (For reference I am trying to follow this wiki article: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu but only using the EMMC instead of the SD Card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello everyone,we have developed a custom board based on stm32mp157 chip. We have also forked the tf-a, optee, u-boot and linux-kernel from meta-st-stm32mp layer. Hello! Thank you for opening this post. This is my first time to fully build the Distribution Package according to the guide on ST Wiki, and I have gained a lot from it.But now I have a question to ask for help. After I burned the generated image after the complete build, I found that the compilation date obtained by the uname -a command was incorrect. It was not around the current date, but Fri Mar 15 18:27:50 UTC 2024. What is the reason? I did not modify any code in this process. I think the build is to fully compile all components including the kernel. I hope to get an answer.Thank you ST!
Has anyone encountered issues with unstable clock configuration on the STM32MP135F? I'm having trouble achieving a stable output, and adjusting the PLL settings doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Hi!I'm looking for an alternative Linux OS for the STM32MP1 system. I'm currently using OpenSTLinux, but it's very buggy and have a lack of lots of packages. Can you recommend a Linux OS or that works with 512 MB Ram + 650 MHz CPU?I'm planning to only replace the rootfs folder with the new linux distro.
Hello ST,Apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious. I'm working on a new product that will comprise multiple STM32 processors each running their own firmware. I envisage there being a number of libraries containing common code that will be linked to by the various processor firmware(s). I have some experience of using cmake for desktop development (linux/windows) with vscode and am trying to relate that experience to STM32CubeIDE. I'm not getting far. I envisage a project structure like this:|--Project XX |- CMakeFiles.txt |-- apps | |-- board1 | | |-- Inc | | |-- *.h files | | |-- Src | | |-- *.c files | | |-- board1.ioc | | |-- CMakeFiles.txt | | | | |-- board2 | | |-- Inc | | |-- *.h files | | |-- Src | | |-- *.c files | | |-- board21.ioc | | |-- CMakeFiles.txt | |-- etc |-- libs | |- Lib1 | |-- Sources/Headers | |-- CMakeFiles.txt &nb
Hello,I'm starting to port functional code from stm32f7 to stm32mp13. On the F7, I was using FreeRTOS+Lwip+mbedTLS. On stm32mp13, I switched to ThreadX+NetXDuo as it's the only supported stack. For my tests, I used the examples provided by the STM32CubeMP13 and pimped them up on the STM32MP13-DK board.I ran a few tests on both architectures. The TLS connection is established much more quickly with the stm32mp13 than with the stm32f7, which is reassuring :RSA certificate (2048 bits) : 52ms on mp1 VS 1400ms on F7.ECC certificate (secp384) : 700ms on mp13 VS 4000ms on F7.However, when it comes to data transfer after the handshake, I have a ratio of 10. For example, to transfer 340Kb, the mp1 takes 10 sec, while the f7 takes 1.4 sec. For the record, I've done data transfer tests without TLS, and in this case I'm faster with the mp1 than with the f7. So I deduce that the problem comes with the TLS. I don't know whether it's the stack itself or whether I'm misconfiguring NetXDuo.What are the
Hello,I want to control STM32mp157d-dk1 GPIO from python i tried to use libgpiod but apt-get install python3-pip not work for me
Hello everyone, I am trying to program the STM32MP157 to control a simple LED using Keil software. However, I am encountering numerous errors during the compilation process, particularly with the setup files. Additionally, the controller name appears in red while creating the project. I suspect there might be an issue with the file linking directories. Can anyone help me resolve this?
Hi,I am debugging the STM32MP257F-EV1 board with a debugger via JTAG/SWD. The kernel version is 6.1.82.Since the A35 cores are in break state/stopped during debugging, I want to disable the watchdog timer on U-Boot/Linux.I have tried the following ways to stop the watchdog timer:1. Disable the watchdog via the dts files in case of Linux. I don't think it is that simple. The watchdog still resets the system when the Linux Core is stopped.2. I have been trying to Freeze the watchdog by modifying Bit FZ_IWDG1 of register RCC_IWDGC1FZSETR.I have set the following registers to enable writing to Bit FZ_IWDG1;RCC_SECCFGR2: 0RCC_PRIVCFGR2: 0RCC_RCFGLOCKR2: 0RCC_R70CIDCFGR/RCC_RxCIDCFGR: Bit SEM_EN=1RCC_R70SEMCR/RCC_RxSEMCR: Bit SEM_MUTEX=1But I am unable to change the Bit FZ_IWDG1.Please let me know how if I am missing any settings. Also, please let me know how the watchdog timer can be frozen/stopped. Thank you.
We have a custom STM32MP157 board running Linux that is not booting over eMMC. The STM32MP157 image boots from SD card on SDMMC1 but not from a Toshiba THGBMNG5D1LBAIL eMMC chip connected to SDMMC2. We have confirmed the Boot pins are correct, and the device tree is correct in uBoot and LinuxWe can see 4 partitions of the SD card, and the hardware partitions of the eMMC: /dev/mmcblk0 (SD Card) /dev/mmcblk0p1 (fsbl1) /dev/mmcblk0p2 (fsbl2) /dev/mmcblk0p3 (ssbl) /dev/mmcblk0p4 (rootfs) /dev/mmcblk1 (eMMC) /dev/mmcblk1rpmb /dev/mmcblk1boot0 /dev/mmcblk1boot1I have tried copying the entire SD card over to mmcblk1 using:dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=/dev/mmcblk1I've also tried unlocking the mmcblk1bootX partitions and copying over the SPL and uboot partitions. Schemes I have tried are a co
