Hi,I am trying to write a LIN master for STM32MP135 running a Yocto Linux. Currently, I am struggling with the break signal. According to the LIN specification, it has to be at least 13 (up to 20) bits long. The device I am trying to talk to is using 9600 baud and the break signal is 1340μs there:A LIN tranceiver is connected to USART1 on my board. How can I send the correct break signal on USART1 on Linux?Thank you in advance!
Hello,Hello,I'm planning to integrate GPS: GNSS1 and install a web browser on an STM32MP157F-DK2, so I'm looking to add layers. Before adding the layers, I thought it would be a good idea to follow this tutorial:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php?title=STM32MPU_Distribution_Package&sfr=stm32mpuI followed it to the letter.I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 with all the required dependencies:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Install_the_SDKI'm up to 80% of the st-image-weston bitbake when an error message appears:```ERROR: st-image-vendorfs-1.0-r0 do_rootfs: The postinstall intercept hook 'update_mandb' failed, details in /home/atem/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1-ostl-linux-gnueabi/st-image-vendorfs/1.0/temp/log.do_rootfsERROR: Logfile of failure stored in: /home/atem/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1-ostl-linux-gnueab
Hello, I wonder if it is possible to put a game emulator on an stm32mp135-dk1 under openstlinux yocto, if so how? By loading a new img or in another way?
Hiii, i am using STM32mp257f-ev1 , in this board i installed chromium and its working properly but when i was tried to run url on chrome its cause some ffmpeg related issue like pixel format unsupported. I tried to add use_ffmpeg=true and use_v4l2=true in chromium.inc in chromium directory because in that .bbappend and .bb files are not present so please help me to solve this issue.
Hello,I am currently working on a custom board based on the STM32MP1. In my research, I found that flashing firmware over JTAG is not supported for the STM32MP1 series. Instead, we need to rely on USB or UART for flashing purposes.I came across this related issue on the forum: Flashing STM32MP1 Custom Board Over JTAG.Given this, I am concerned about the security implications of using USB for flashing firmware. Specifically:What security measures can be implemented to prevent unauthorized access or flashing through USB?Is it possible to enforce authentication during the USB boot and firmware flashing process? Are there recommended techniques to encrypt the firmware or restrict access to certain boot modes? And if I use the UART for flashing, then how can I do that? Which combination of boot mode selection switch should I use? Is there any specific documentation for flashing firmware using UART?I would greatly appreciate any guidance or best practices to enhance security when using USB as
Dear Friends, can anyone help me make a CNC lathe using the STM32 NUCLEO-F411RE microcontroller?

Hello, I'm investigating DDR routing and for practice training to make 6 layer board with STM32MP135 and DDR - NT5CC256M16ER-EK, the similar to STM32MP135F-DK. Into the "DDR memory routing guidelines for STM32MP13x" everywhere recommend to use VDD_DDR polygon before Bottom layer, the same I have saw in "MB1635 Board design project files".Could someone explain, why is important to use VDD DDR polygon before bottom layer under DDR chip? Can I use GND layer here?
Moved from a previous thread. @mƎALLEmunfortunately appear next problem .CAN works grate !The display connected by MIPI DSI it goes wrong when a lot of frames in CAN interface arrive. Like the display slowed down a lot ... @xchenreading this thread , I noticed that you had a similar problem with work CAN and DSI display on STM32MP1? did you solve the problem?
Hi,ST professor. I am now using stm32mp135faf7 chip. I want to encrypt my TA application(optee_examples/hello_world/ta).how to get the key TA_ENC_KEY to encrypt the hellow_world application thanks.

Hello,I am trying to setup CANbus on the STM32MP157f-dk2 board, but I am unable to get any CAN interface to appear. I have installed the STM32MP1 OpenSTLinux Developer-Package onto the board, and I am using an SN65HVD230 transceiver.First I tried enabling pins PB12 and PB13 for FDCAN2, and connecting the transceiver to GPIO pins 10 and 36 on the board. For device tree configuration, I generated a device tree source file with STM32CubeMX and copied the pinctrl and m_can2 bindings from the generated file into "stm32mp157f-dk2.dts" located in the kernel sources. I then compiled the device tree using "make ARCH=arm dtbs". I then copy stm32mp157f-dk2.dtb to the board.I attached the exact dts file I am using. For driver configuration, I believe the BOSCH M_CAN driver is enabled by default, so I did not change anything in Menuconfig. Although I doubled checked that the selections were correct. The can0 interface does not appear as an available network interface:root@stm32mp1:~# ls /s
I'm using minimal device tree files to get a custom (MYIR MYC-YF135) board to boot. At the moment I'm stuck when OP-TEE should give the control to u-boot. Hi, I would like to use CAN communication on my devboard : STM32MP157f-DK2. So I prepared OS, unfortunatelly I have to flash STM32MP157c-DK2 version according with problem described below: Faulty boards out of the box So, after run OS, I edited *.dts file, by initialized &m_can1 device on PA11 and PA12 pins, which one exposed on the board connector - CN2, and connected "MCP2542 click CAN bus transceiver" board. In OpenSTlinux userspace I try recive CAN frames by command: candump can0, and there is any problem, because when I send full frame with 8 bytes that it doesn't arrive to device. Maksimum only 5 bytes in frame arrives, like below: What can be wrong with CAN in STM ?Please for any tips.
i am developing custom board using STM32MP157FAC1.Please review the schematic of the custom board and verify the connections.
HiI'm new to embedded software development and STM32 too.I'm just wanna learn and explore everything about the STM32 MPU. I have STM32MP157A-DK1 board with me. So i planned to do this one as first.I want to make a custom u-boot compilation for the STM32MP157A-DK1 board. Only using the U-boot i want to run a small application.(without OS) if anyone guide me to get in that.before this what are the possible way to connect this board with my system. I tried through USART GPIO14 tx pin no 8 and GPIO15 rx pin 10 not able to connect.(I have OS)
Hi,I'm trying to learn programming STM32MP157 with qt library using boot2qt module.I flashed microSD card using boot2qt module, prepared and employed samlpe project from qt Creator to STM32MP157. - this works fine. Now I would like to control interfaces (ec. GPIO, SPI, CAN) in STM using qt. - there is where my knowledge ends.I think so that I should connect libraries delivered by STM to my qt project?, So what libraries I should including to control DIDO?
Hi,Does STM32MP235A has ONVIF compatibility when used in camera applications? Thanks,Preethi
Hi everyone! I'm here with my devkit and trying to have FDCAN working properly! I compiled the Yocto distribution for the board and I followed all the tutorials in the wiki ( https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Category:CAN ) and here's what I came up with: I initialized m_can1 &m_can1 { pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&m_can1_pins_b>; pinctrl-1 = <&m_can1_sleep_pins_b>; status = "okay"; };I used the pins_b configuration because looking at the datasheet they were the only possible exposed pins on the PI_GPIO extender (CN2) on the board (overwriting I2C5 pins for the Arduino). I also removed the pullup resistors for i2c (R166 and R167). On the kernel side I tried the loopback and seems to work fine: root@stm32mp1:~# ip link set can0 up type can bitrate 1000000 dbitrate 2000000 fd on[ 1602.982564] m_can_platform 4400e000.can can0: bitrate error 0.3%[ 1602.988958] m_can_platform 4400e000.can can0: bitrate error 0.3%[ 1602.994593] IPv6: ADDRCONF(
