Hi,I want to generate a new distro for MP1 with distribution package and qt-examples. I downloaded all of the packages via fetchall command to avoid getting an internet connection error during generating. After that, I have tried to generate an image including qt examles. However, it wasn't completed for 2 days(it didn't compile qtwebkit for 2 days). I then have cleaned qtwebkit with "bitbake -c clean qtwebkit" command and tried compile only it(bitbake qtwebkit) but get an error is error 1 again. Why does it compile? And, how can I disable it from the image?
Hello,I want to use SDL2 to run some application on stm32mp157 DK2.I build st-example-image-x11 and when LDME service started I can run startX and run my application. I want turn off LDME manager and only run startX but when I do this I get error:last dlopen error /usr/lib/dri/stm_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryfailed to open any driver (search paths /usr/lib/drilast dlopen error /usr/lib/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryfailed to load driver: kms_swrastIn /usr/lib/dri I have only swrast_dri.soMy xorg.conf is empty.Do I need add some driver configurations in xinitrc /etc/X11/xinit ??Regards,Adrian
Is It possible to separate the STM32MP157A-EV1 MPU Subsystem Daughterboard (MB1263) from the motherboard (MB1262) to integrate it into a Motherboard of our design? Are there any limitations for its use when not paired with MB1262?Thank you!

Hello On a STM32MP1-DK2 discovery board, running the latest starter image, flooding the ethernet interface with SYN packages leads to a reboot of the system. This behavior is reproducible and appears after around 30 secs.I stress tested the network interface of the STM32MP1-DK2 board with high loads, generated by a self written SYN flood application.The board is connected via Gbit Ethernet to a developer PC, which sends the SYN packets (around 400Mb/s on sender device).After around 30 seconds the boards reboots due to a stack exception. Is this issue already known?I appended the debug print over the serial interface during the network attack.Thank you and best regardsFlorian
Hello,I have successfully compiled and deployed the distribution package (trusted) onto the STM32MP1. I am using OpenSSL in a program for signing data, where SHA256 is used as a hash. I would like to take advantage of hardware acceleration by using either the cryptodev or af_alg engines. The distribution provides Yocto recipes for cryptodev-linux (header), cryptodev-module (kernel module) of version 1.9 and for OpenSSL version 1.1.1b, in which I modified the PACKAGECONFIG line by adding cryptodev-linux option in it, so OpenSSL compiles with the cryptodev support. The 3 aforementioned recipes were built and deployed using devtool. OpenSSL also provides a built-in AF_ALG engine by default. However, the supported algorithms of both engines are only ciphers, there are no hash algorithms whatsoever. I also tried to build OpenSSL with the -DUSE_CRYPTODEV_DIGESTS, but that didnt change anything. Version 1.0.2 of OpenSSL however, provides some hashing algorithms like MD5 and SHA1, but not SHA2
Hi all,I'm developing a custom board based on STM32MP153 SoC, and I need to use the internal RTC. I also need to output its 32.768kHz reference clock from I8 pin.As stated at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/RTC_device_tree_configuration, into the Linux dts I enabled the internal RTC using this node:&rtc { st,lsco = <RTC_OUT2_RMP>; pinctrl-0 = <&rtc_out2_rmp_pins_a>; pinctrl-names = "default"; status = "okay"; };but at the boot I get this log message:stm32_rtc 5c004000.rtc: Can't enter in init mode. Prescaler config failed. stm32_rtc: probe of 5c004000.rtc failed with error -110The driver is not loaded, thus I don't have the 32.768kHz clock on I8 pin.Could you help me to figure out what I'm doing wrong?Thanks in advance, regardsMauro
Hi,I want to connect some shields/sensors to STM32MP157C-DK2. Some of the sensors will draw about 200mA. How much current can I draw from the 5V/3V3 pins on the GPIO expansion connectors? The STM32MP157C-DK2 is powered over USB-C 5V/3A. OpenSTLinux is running on A7 and firmware on M4regardsLukas
Hello thereI'm not familiar with building linux for embedded systems. I need to build an yocto openstlinux distro with arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi-gcc to be able to compile at least simple "helloworld" on STM32MP157-DK1My extra packages in local.conf are:CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += " \mc \minicom \gcc \libgcc \glibc \bluez5 \binutils \"But when i run compilation (DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp1 source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.sh , bitbake st-image-weston), i get errors:root@stm32mp1:~# arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi-gcc -o helloworld helloworld.chelloworld.c:1:10: fatal error: stdio.h: No such file or directory #include <stdio.h> ^~~~~~~~~compilation terminated./usr/local/include doesn't exist and do not contain any headersWhich packages should I add in local.conf to avoid this error and compile 'helloworld'?
I want to register the MAC address of my own board which STM32MP151CAA3 is mounted on.Can I use STM32CubeProgrammer to register the MAC address?If so, are the following commands correct? Example) MAC address which I want to register: 00:12:34:56:78:90 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x39 value=0x56341200 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x3A value=0x00009078Also, can I update this OTP bits only once?(If I register the MAC address once, Can't I update it again?)Best regardsH. When I run the openamp image through linux command prompt, the application working fine. The RPMSG devices is created successfully.But when I've tried to run it from uboot, it stuck at MX_OPENAMP_Init(). This should be ok because I assume linux isn't running yet. After I've tried to delay the application for one minute (assuming linux is booted up properly), it still stuck there.I need a very-fast M4 booting, with RPMSG feature (ok to be delayed).Hence it must be run from U-Boot. Is this kind of requirement possible?Please help.
Hi!I'm in search of a better GUI programming path :) Now trying Xlib.Here is a simple program from the Internet#include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <string.h> #include <errno.h> #include <X11/Xlib.h> extern int errno; int main( void ) { Display *d; Window w; XEvent e; char *msg = "Hello, World!"; int s; if( ( d = XOpenDisplay( getenv("DISPLAY" ) ) ) == NULL ) { // Connect X server printf( "Can't connect X server: %s\n", strerror( errno ) ); exit( 1 ); } s = DefaultScreen( d ); w = XCreateSimpleWindow( d, RootWindow( d, s ), 10, 10, 200, 200, 1, BlackPixel( d, s ), WhitePixel( d, s ) ); XSelectInput( d, w, ExposureMask | KeyPressMask ); XMapWindow( d, w ); &nbs

I faced crashes when implementing IPCC on M4 (Hard Fault Crash) and A7 (Kernel Ooops or dead system). Observations on M4: - Once I 'solved' the issue by disabling Uart7- Once I 'solved' it by removing the FreeRTOS (which was configured with CubeMX default values).I assume to have bad configured HW resources (Memory, Device Tree).To verify this I have the following questions: 1) How can I integrate the device tree files created by CubeMX to Yocto? Do I need to erase the patch files from meta-st layer to modify the device tree files? Details: The instruction on https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine, topic 'Generate device tree' is not clear: the directory 'mx' does not exist. And 'browsing with STM32CubeMX' seems useless to me. Is it meant to create the directory mx and put the Device Tree files inside there? Then bitbake again?2) How can I verify and modify the memory map of M4 and A7? (as it is done for example in the .icf file of IAR) Is it done through
Hello everyone.I am introducing me on this world of multiprocessors, by the moment I only had worked with NUCLEO-F3 boards or similar.For my new research, I plan to purchase a SOM + Carrier board with the STM32MP157C microcontroller.My intention is to use Linux or Android, but I have many doubts. The main ones would be,Can I mount the operating system on the A7 processors and program the M4 from STM32CubeIDE or Keil or similar? Where can I find out how to do it?Regarding OpenSTLinux or Android, is there information about the distribution? Can python 3 run on it?From now on, thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience.Best regard, Juan.

With the Distribution Package for STM32MP1 I created my own machine (STM32MP151A) and I was able to generate a the flashlayout for both sdcard and emmc.I don't see any script to create the image for emmc, like `create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh`.Is there such a template or I am on my own?
Hello,Just curious, I wonder how to connect and debug Cortex-A7 cores on STM32MP157C-DK2?Currently, I'm using CubeIDE and seems that using ST-Link onboard to debug M4 core and can't do same thing with A7 cores, even I saw it's listed in ST-Link debug configuration.I also see that it's no way to connect this board to an external debug probe.Thanks for your support.
I used the i2c4 for sii9022 chip,but it always busy and don't response for hdmi plug in.

We have made a custom board with an STM32MP157CAD MPU, this board is very similar to the DK2. We have adapted an LCD driver to support our LCD screen, over the DSI interface. It works, both on the DK2 with our own LCD screen, and on our custom board with the same LCD screen, but on our custom board, the colours are less bright than on the DK2. We have already checked: the kernel is the same, the driver is the same, the voltage backlight is the same.Is there some reason why our LCD is duller? Possibly a wrong colour space or gamma correction, but where are those specified? We use neither Wayland nor X11, we use the "modetest" test program to show the SMPTE test pattern, as explained on <https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/DRM_KMS_overview#modetest_-28DRM-2FKMS_test_tool-29>, with a "modetest -M stm -s 29@32:480x800-60" command.
Hello,I am fairly new to Linux and am trying to drive a DSI display using the STM32MP15-DK2 (not the one that came with the board) and was looking for some direction. I have been reading through the documentation related to DSI such as the DSI Internal Peripheral Description and DRM/KMS Framework Overview. What I need help with is figuring out where to start. I was thinking I will need to use the STMCubeMX tool to configure the host peripheral for my specific screen, then use Menuconfig to set up the kernel to run DSI, then configure DSI in the device tree? Any help is appreciated!
Hello,Is there any STM processors that can run OpenSTLinux and support 3 lane MIPI DSI? I was planning on using STM32MP1 series but it only supports 2 lanes. Thanks!
Hi Support Team,Please help me to get the answers for below questions.1) Does STM32MP1 support double framebuffer ?2) If it supports then how can we allocate memories for two framebuffer ?3) If not then how can we avoid tearing effects using one framebuffer ?Thanks in advance.Regards,Shree
