Hi,I'm working with the stm32mp157f-dk2 and with OpenSTLinux and I'm trying to create a GATT service for provisioning the wifi credentials. The problem is, according to https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_scan_BLE_devices I should be able to run the gatttool command. Unfurntently I'm not. I have already re-flashed the OpenSTLinux and I also have reprogrammed the kernel.I'm running the OpenSTLinux 5-4 20-11-12.What should I do? I have also tried the apt-get install command..Thanks,Fernando Fontes

I am using GStreamer to stream live video from mjpeg cameras. For this I am using a pipeline which is roughly equivalent to this one:gst-launch-1.0 souphttpsrc is-live=true location=<camera_url> ! multipartdemux ! image/jpeg,framerate=0/1 ! jpegparse ! avdec_mjpeg ! videoconvert ! waylandsinkThis was working fine with OpenSTLinux 1.x, but with 2.x the video stutters or even freezes. Can someone help?Guillermo
While changing the value at the trimpot output values is constant(4095) and has no change as soon as when it reaches 3.2V it goes to zero. I am seeing output using uart. Please assist me how to rectify it.

Sorry if I have come to the wrong group. I am searching for information on why a font would work with some code that already exists and what if the best way to visualise this. Tried a number of softwares and sites but none provide the array that I'm looking for. What sizes are commonly the best way to go?I have tried this font http://www.suwa-koubou.jp/micom/NtpClock/source/font16x24.hIt works in my application, but I am looking for the next sizes up that would work. Is there an EXCEL sheet that would work, Or one that I can input the array and view the result?I need it for my project.I found a 16x24 font that can replace the one above ------ http://www.longlandclan.yi.org/~stuartl/stm32f10x_stdperiph_lib_um/fonts_8c_source.htmlBut it is smaller. Can you help?Rosalin
Only the power supply via USB C CN6 allows booting with detection of the presence of voltage on GPIO PA5 and PA4. Is there a way to modify this control mode and be able to boot with a CN2 power supply? Is it possible to modify the FW so as not to read the two GPIOs ? Thank for help.
I am evaluate the STM32MP157C-DV2 board.I have disabled the weston service by referring to the link below.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000cSKmXSAW/disable-weston-autostart-in-stm32mp157cdv2When boot with the weston service disabledThe two images below appear sequentially.I want to customize the boot screen to the image I want.I found the above images in the path below.layers/meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-graphics/wayland/weston-init/Although I did find the path of the default boot images, I think it has nothing to do with weston-init because the weston service is inactive. The psplash recipe exists in the path below.layers/meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-core/psplash/psplash-drm layers/openembedded-core/meta/recipes-core/psplashWhat recipe do I have to override in my custom layer to change the boot screen?

Hi,AN5122 in paragraph 3.2 recommends to use 33 ohm serial resistor for every A/C of the DDR chip, but the STM32MP1_SeriesDDRmemory_routing_guidelines_examples.zip in STM32MP15XXAA_1DDR3Lx16 example there are NO serial resistor. Can I use this layout example? Is it tested? or it is better to add 33 ohm resistors. In the latter case A/C includes all addresses plus bank addresses, CKE, CASN, CSN, RASN, WEN and ODT?Thank you for any suggestions.
I've been using the Windows version of STM32CubeIDE for a while but had to switch to the Linux version to work with the STM32MP157A chip (since it has an MPU to work with). I am currently working with V1.6.0 on Debian. Currently, I'm trying to organize it a bit so it's a bit more usable but I'm having trouble resizing any of the windows. It doesn't seem to allow me to make changes to, say, the divider between the project explorer and the code window. it just feels like everything is locked into place. If I detach and try and drag it to one side, it doesn't appear to "dock" correctly and, instead, just blocks other windows. Maybe this is just because Linux doesn't work well with the interface and there's nothing that can be done but I wanted to check and see if there's a way to resize windows so it's usable. It's kind of a mess to work with right now. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am using STM32CubeIDE in Ubuntu20.04.If you create the STM32MP1 project in STM32CubeIDE for Ubuntu, it asks if you want to install the OpenSTLinux SDK. And I have installed it and am using it.However, in STM32CubeIDE for Windows, if you ask if you want to install the OpenSTLinux SDK, it indicates that the installation can only be installed on Linux, and installation is not possible. If you look at the attached picture, you can see the OpenSTLinux SDK Manager menu in STM32CubeIDE for Ubuntu, but there is no that menu in STM32CubeIDE for Windows.I want to develop STM32MP1 Firmware in STM32CubeIDE for Windows because it is inconvenient and slow to use the virtual machine, but I wonder if there is any problem even if I do not install the OpenSTLinux SDK and develop the firmware.
Hello everyone!I had an application that was originally designed to run on a STM32WB55 but found it didn't have the resources we needed for it. The STM32MP1 seems like it has the potential to be a good fit for us as we could do the sensor processing on the M4 and some of the higher level calculations on the A7.Our plan was to have the chip asleep until it received a wakeup signal from a sensor and then most the code was running from the M4. Once it had completed its data collection, it would do the processing from the A7. We're still in the planning phase (to determine if this is the right processor for this application) but the issue I'm having trouble navigating is the low power modes. Below are some of the questions I have:1) If I'm having code running on the M4, is it possible to put the A7 into a low power mode (like standby or stop)? I believe this would be possible according to page 134 of the datasheet (which seems to show this capability). 2) What is the recommended mode to ru

I noticed that even if I create a new project using STM32CubeMX IDE for STM32MP157F-EV1 board, in the clock configuration, the MPUSS_CK is 650MHz. In Linux, I can see the CPU frequency is 650MHz only. How can I clock the CPU to 800MHz as supported by the SoC?
Hello everyone,I am currently working with phyCORE-STM32MP1 which has a STM32MP157C mounted. It runs with OpenSTLinux, but it is a modified distribution by Phytec.I have very little experience with handling Device Tree and drivers and my problem is that I am trying to connect an STEVAL-STWINMAV1 to the I2S pins of the STM32MP157C, including the I2C port to control it, but I am having serious problems with being able to make it work with the modifications that I do in the "Device Tree".By default in this I2S port comes the configuration to connect a TLV320AIC3007 from Texas Instruments, I am commenting on the code that configures it and trying to get it to take the ADAU1978 drivers, which I think are compiled in the OpenSTLinux image.I attach the portion of code that I am editing in the ".dtsi" file and just to corroborate the portion of code in which Phytec configures the pins in their respective ".dtsi" fileThe pinout configuration, I hope someone can guide me to the solution bec
I have found many tutorials for how to import the example projects into stmcubeide but have not seen much information on how to set up a new M4 project? I have been able to import the OpenAMP_TTY_echo example into stm32cubeide and debug fine but I am having issues setting up a new project. I want to setup a new project because I want a .ioc project file in order to easily setup timers and interrupts and the OpenAMP_TTY_echo example is missing some of the HAL driver libraries. I was able to create a new project selecting the board as STM32MP157c-DK2 but the build button is grayed out for the project? I am using the distribution package, specifically the st-example-image-qt image.
I am teaching a course in real-time embedded systems and in the past have used the STM32F4 MCUs running FreeRTOS, but would like to move to a microprocessor, specifially an STM32 MPU starter kit for students. So, does the STM32 MPUs support for a Real-time OS such as FreeRTOS. I see where the STM32MPU starters already provide embedded Linux but trying to find out if we could run FreeRTOS instead without too much difficulty, since it will be the students who will be configuring their own boards.Any tips/hints would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,we have a custom board based on the stm32mp151c. It has on sdmmc3 a Silicon Labs WF200 Wifi Card attached. We tested this setup with the stm32mp157c-dk2 and it worked fine. Now, we do not see the message during bootup:mmc0: new high speed MMC card at address 0001Which we should and which triggers the loading of the silicon labs driver. If I reset the sdmmc with: echo 48004000.sdmmc > /sys/bus/amba/drivers/mmci-pl18x/unbind && sleep 2 && echo 48004000.sdmmc > /sys/bus/amba/drivers/mmci-pl18x/bindThe card is found. This is the bootup, yellow is the reset GPIO, green is the sdmmc3 D2 pin, which must be high for the wf200 card to go into SDIO mode instead of SPI. Orange is clock. This happens at boot:And this is the behavior on manual reset after bootup:Thanks and Regards, Matthias
Dear Community,we are bringing up our own HW platform based on the STM32MP151A MPU. The use-case currently is that we obtain data permanently over several hours and store it on a sd card at a speed of max. 15MByte/sec. After the data acquisition we want to read out the data from the system as fast as possible without removal of the SD Card (not possible) via Gigabit Ethernet. The problem is that we just learned in the latest errata sheet that SDR104 mode should be avoided (Errata Link 2.3.19) . This would mean that we need to fall back to SDR50/DDR50 with 50MByte/sec max which would mean that the effective read out speed is theoretically limited by the SD Card interface at around 400Mbit at SDR50 instead of 832Mbit at SDR104.Is there any way to enable SDR104 mode (for 104MByte/sec datarate) or is there aplan to e.g. update the silicon to solve this issue?BR,Bernhard
