Hello, I have sd card with lots of things configured.To save time I want to create backup of this card which I can flash later.Is there any official way to take the backup of the STM32MPU sd card image and also a way to flash the same image on new SD card (with the starter package already installed as well as a new card from the factory ).Looking for an STM32MPU DK2 F board but I think must be valid for all boardsRegards,Thanks in Advance !
Hi dear all,I'm looking for dual ethernet examples to implement with my stm32mp157d MPU , but I couldn't find anything on the internet.I've seen that there is no STM32 with dual ethernet interface but i want to add dual ethernet and fiber ports to my stm32mp157d but i can not find any references .So I look among the 3-port or 4 ports switches like (LAN9313,KSZ8863,KSZ8765 ….. etc) but unfortunately I cannot find any reference design by ST. Also, I cannot find any switch chip available in the market due to the long delays.Maybe I could go with some serial ethernet module using SPI or UART ?Speed isn't a requirement in my application, of course it would have been better to directly implement the TCP stack on the MCU using the ST libs, to have access to the code.Any ideas/examples links about how I could implement two ethernet ports(RJ45)(10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX support) and 2 fiber ethernet (100BASE-FX support via external fiber transceiver) ?Thanks
Hello, I am using STM32mp157f-dk2 board and I have a peripheral connected on GPIO pin #16 ( PF1)on doing gpoiget gpiochip5 1 > i get 1on doing gpiosetgpiochip5 1=0 i DO NOT get any error but on doing again gpioget gpiochip5 1 > i get 1 againI see it is shared with SDMMC3_CMD . On directly connecting it to Ground , it becomes low , not otherwise from the above commands.Is this the same MMC on which starter image is written?Is it safe to pull it down permanently from the hardware? May I know how to make it low from the software permanenetly.Regards,D
and i try use it in ubuntu and it work....so :sad_but_relieved_face:
Hi,I'm using a custom buildroot build (2021.11) with linux 5.15.13, on the stm32mp157f-ev1 board.I can load an .elf M4 firmware into the M4 core and start it, using /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0However, I can't use the debugging feature of STM32CubeIDE. I get an error in "final launch sequence". It works fine when I'm running the standard ST linux distribution however.Does anybody know, what is required for CubeIDE debugging to work on the M4 core in production mode?I notice some ST stuff missing from linux 5.15.13, compared to the 5.10.61 linux used in the ST distribution: rproc_srm_core, rproc_srm_dev, tee_remoteproc, rpmsg_tty. Any of this required for CubeIDE debugging?
I am using MB1407C (stm32mp157x-DK2 extension board with touch-screen) connected to my custom board. When board is booting I am getting the "ST life.augmented" screen on the U-boot and black screen when kernels starts. Also I am getting the telnet commands when I am updating the flashlayout using the CubeMxFlashLoader - so my guess is the DSI connection is working, but why do i get the black screen instead of the Wayland Weston desktop- that is shown when stm32mp157x-DK2 loads up the OS? What am i missing? What is other way to test the DSI connections?
Good afternoon, I have written two versions of the time output test programs to the console for STM32MP157D. Both programs work no more than 2 hours, then the system restarts. What did I do wrong?Sincerely, Alexander. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////def time_show(): await asyncio.sleep(10) os.system("date > time_info.txt") f = open('time_info.txt','r') read_data = f.read() f.close() os.system("rm time_info.txt") print(read_data[11],read_data[12],read_data[13],read_data[14],read_data[15])if __name__ == "__main__": loop = asyncio.get_event_loop() loop.run_until_complete(time_show()) datsa = 10 for i in range(data): time_show() os.system("python3 tablo")//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////import asyncioimport datetimeimport osimport subprocessimp
Good afternoon.I tried to create a demo project (STM32MP157C-DK2\Demonstrations\Al_Character_Recognition) for the STM32MP157D_DK1 board. When assembling, I had a problem.(Gluk_test_1) How to include the library in the project correctly? Sincerely, Alexander.
Hi,We are using stm32mp157a processor in my custom board.In my custom board we have limited peripherals so i need to disable remaining peripherals like ltdc and hdmi ,etc. I disabled in dts files but it didn't effected. How can i disable peripherals in u boot?
hi,I am working with a custom board based on the STM32MP157C. I use a lan9303 chip which is acting as a switch for ethernet. In the linux kernel, there are no problems with the ethernet but I can't get it to work in u-boot. Even when I use the same Device-Tree layout for the ethernet and phy. The address 0 is the same thats used by the kernel but u-boot doesn't seem to find the phy there.The device tree for ethernet looks like this:&ethernet0 { status = "okay"; pinctrl-0 = <&ethernet0_rmii_pins_a>; pinctrl-1 = <&ethernet0_rmii_pins_sleep_a>; pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; phy-mode = "rmii"; }; &pinctrl { ethernet0_rmii_pins_a: rmii-0 { pins1 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 13, AF11)>, /* ETH1_RMII_TXD0 */ <STM32_PINMUX('G', 14, AF11)>, /* ETH1_RMII_TXD1 */ <STM32_PINMUX('B', 11, AF11)>, /* ETH1_RMII_TX_EN */ <STM32_PINMUX('A', 1, AF11)>, /* ETH1_RMII_REF_CLK */ <STM32_PINMUX('A', 2, AF11)>

I use a STM32MP157C and connected to MAX24287 PHY by RGMII.After linux booted there is only 100Mbps connection - I put the PHY into Diagnostic Loopback Mode and the situation is the same.My dts:&ethernet0{ pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&eth1_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&eth1_sleep_pins_mx>; status = "okay"; /* USER CODE BEGIN ethernet0 */ phy-mode = "rgmii-id"; max-speed = <1000>; phy-handle = <&phy0>; mdio0 { #address-cells = <1>; #size-cells = <0>; compatible = "snps,dwmac-mdio"; reset-gpios = <&gpioa 4 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; reset-delay-us = <10000>; post-reset-delay-us = <1000>; phy0: ethernet-phy@3 { reg = <3>; sfp;/* compatible = "ethernet-phy-ieee802.3-c22"; *//* interrupt-parent = <&gpioa>; *//* interrupts = <9 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>; */ }; }; /* USER CODE END ethernet0 */};The PHY has 25MHz external clock, it gives 125MHz RX_
How can I configure the i2c duty cycle to 50% in the linux device tree for a 33kHz device?I have modified the frequency from 100000 to 33000 but I couldn't find a setting for the duty cycle and right now I measure ~83%.MPU stm32mp153.
Hi all,I am not familiar with STM32 platform but the DFSDM ADC feature seems to do exactly what I want (external delta-sigma modulator + digital filtering). I bought a STM32MP157C-DK2 board and started playing with it. But, I can't find any working example of DFDSM and I am a bit lost ...What would be the best way to start working with DFSDM ?Thanks,Best regards,Nicolas
Hello there,We are working on a design based on the STM32MP1 eval kit which is using Realtek RTL8211 for Ethernet.However this IC seems to be hard to buy; Realtek distributors are giving lead times of +1 year.Can someone recommend alternatives?Thanks,Guillermo
I am having difficulties activating the EXTI interrupt for a pin in the M4 NVIC. What I did: Opened STM32CubeMX, selected the board STM32MP157F-DK2, opted to configure all peripherals in their default state Activate SPI5 in the M4 domain, incl. DMA domain Select PF3 pin EXTI mode with falling edge trigger detection (in my application serves as a data ready signal that should start the SPI transfer) Now trying to activate EXTI Line 3 interrupt in NVIC, but the check-box is greyed out & I have no clue what I am missing to let me activate the EXTI line 3 interrupt Does anyone know what I missed? Attached is the ioc file generated so far. Thank you all so much for any help!
We are trying to bring-up our custom board and every step of the way we see panic messages, we need some direction in understanding what went wrong. Our board has the following:Processor: STM32MP157FACxQSPI NAND flash memory is our boot device (AS5F18G04SND)PMIC: STPMIC1BDDR memory LPDDR - 32-bit - 128MB memory. All the device trees were generated using the latest CubeMx.Issue1: We had he first panic when flashing partition 1. When the PMIC node in device tree was set as below for buck 1 it fails in flashing partition 1.vddcore:buck1{regulator-name = "vddcore";regulator-min-microvolt = <1200000>;regulator-max-microvolt = <1200000>;regulator-always-on;regulator-initial-mode = <0>;regulator-over-current-protection;};However if I change it to the one below with the max voltage set to 1.35V it completes flashing partition 1 and fails in partition 3.vddcore:buck1{regulator-name = "vddcore";regulator-min-microvolt = <1200000>;regulator-max-microvolt = <1350000>;
Hi All,i am using stm32mp1 with i2c on sgtl5000 codec and control lines are over carrier i2si am getting kernel soc sgtl5000.c error sgtl5000 0-000a: Error reading chip id -6<STM32_PINMUX('A', 15, AF5)>; /* I2S1_WS */<STM32_PINMUX('Z', 0, AF5)>, /* I2S1_CK */ <STM32_PINMUX('Z', 1, AF5)>, /* I2S1_SDI */ <STM32_PINMUX('Z', 2, AF5)>, /* I2S1_SDO */ <STM32_PINMUX('Z', 6, AF5)>; /* I2S1_MCK */Any reference dts on i2s1 would be helpful.. and suggest on kernel error .
From my understanding of the documentation, my steps to lowest power (VBAT mode) on the STM32MP1-DK2 kit would be: Connect Battery to VBATSet BREN in TF-ADisable wake sources other than from PMIC and RTCenter sleep via: "echo mem > /sys/power/state"Is this correct? Am I missing any steps here?Thanks,Ben Beckwith
I've just finished the tutorials on MP1 and have built a few Nucleo projects. When I want to use a GPIO pin on the Nucleo board I go o the ioc file, name a pin and hit Project > Generate Code, and I'll see the pins at the bottom of my Core > main.c file, but when I do that in a new project for the MP1, I don't see anything added to the project.Further, if I search the entire directory for the name of the pin "HEATER" in my case, I don't see it anywhere else but the ioc file.```$ grep -rnw . -e 'HEATER'./test.ioc:647:PA10.GPIO_Label=HEATER```What am I doing wrong?

Hi, CommunityI'm building linux based firmware on STM32MP157F ad I need to apply linux RT patches.I'm using STM32MP157F-EV1 for testingAs linuxkernel I'm using ST linux v5.10-stm32mp-r2, of STMicroelectronics linux repo. This tag is v5.10.61 kernel version, so I took patch-5.10.59-rt52.patch.gz, since it is nearest kernel version. The patch was applied without errors, but at startup there is a following exception in pinctrl-stm32 driver:[ 2.905809] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 2.905823] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1 at kernel/locking/rtmutex.c:2040 __rt_mutex_trylock+0x110/0x114 [ 2.905860] CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Tainted: G W 5.10.61-rt52agvl-stm32mp157f-ev1 #2 [ 2.905873] Hardware name: STM32 (Device Tree Support) [ 2.905890] [<c010f7c8>] (unwind_backtrace) from [<c010c3c0>] (show_stack+0x10/0x14) [ 2.905919] [<c010c3c0>] (show_stack) from [<c0db0a58>] (dump_stack+0xb4/0xc8) [ 2.905940] [<c0db0a58>] (dump_stack) from [<c012f8f8>] (__w
