Hi,currently I can't open any .ioc file which hasn't been previously created with my computer.There's no problem if I open an .ioc file inside CubeIDE, but, when I want to use VS Code I need to open the .ioc file using just CubeMX.If I open an .ioc file with CubeMX, the program brings me the startup page. Whether I try to load a project directly from CubeMX, I can't navigate through the folders because, even in the Desktop folder the file navigator shows me an empty space.Does anyone have my same problem, with MacOS?
Hplip is only 3.19.12, and there is no higher version.
My package is http://packages.openstlinux.st.com/3.1 ,I cannot update cups.When I install cups,the "cups : Depends: libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.12.20) but 1.12.16-r0.1 is to be installed" appeared,How can I install the libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.12.20) ? Thanks.
I want to store some configurations in the OTP. The datasheet states that the OTP word 59 to 95 are free for users. In DK boards, OTP word 59 is already claimed as board_id, so I use word 60 as my starting point. Currently, I am using both environments 3.0 (using yocto) and 2.0 (using buildroot) and I prepared the OTP map by modifying the tf-a device tree.--------------------------------------------- &bsec{ status = "okay"; secure-status = "okay"; board_id: board_id@ec { reg = <0xec 0x4>; st,non-secure-otp; }; conf_sec: conf_sec@f0 { reg = <0xf0 0x40>; st,non-secure-otp; }; }; --------------------------------------------- &nvmem_layout { nvmem-cells = <&cfg0_otp>, <&part_number_otp>, <&monotonic_otp>, <&nand_otp>, <&uid_otp>, <&package_otp>, <&hw2_otp>, <&pkh_otp>, <&board_id>, <&conf_sec>; nvmem-cell-name
Hi,We are using Stm32mp157a processor in my custom board.We are trying to work on dac with DMA but it is not working.You can see my configurations below.In cube mx for DAC there is no Dma option.so we added DMA manually with reference Stm32mp1 Uart Tx DMA.2.When we do with reference of Stm32mp1 UART TX DMA we are getting DAC request in DMAREQ_ID[6:0] in DMA_MUX CR register and source and destination address and Data size we are able to see.But unable to get DMA IRQ.How can i Resolve this. And one more thing how can i trigger DMA through Software?
Hello , I am trying to configure RX (only) with dma. I am using DMA2 stream5 on usart3 I have connected USB to UART bridge (4 wire) on 40 pin headers RX,TX,VDD(3) and GND on CN7. Whenever I am trying to send any data from the comport (teraterm ) from windows PC , nothing happens (on the RX side) on the CM4 of MPU.My code : /* Peripheral clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_USART3_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); /**USART3 GPIO Configuration PB10 ------> USART3_TX PB12 ------> USART3_RX */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_10; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF7_USART3; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_12; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode
Hi! It's my understanding that ST are moving a lot of work for power management and clocking out of ATF and to OP-TEE. In preparation for this shift my co-developer and I have started out trying to build and run the following software on the STM32MP157F-DK2:linux v5.15-stm32mp-r1u-boot v2021.10-stm32mp-r1arm-trusted-firmware v2.6-stm32mp-r1optee_os 3.16.0-stm32mp-r1Unfortunately the only serial output we get is:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157FAC Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics STM32MP157F-DK2 Discovery Board NOTICE: Board: MB1272 Var4.0 Rev.C-02 NOTICE: BL2: v2.6-stm32mp1-r1.0(release):v2.6-stm32mp-r1 NOTICE: BL2: Built : 19:38:48, Jun 23 2022 NOTICE: BL2: Booting BL32Build commands are:build optee: make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/opt/armv7-eabihf--glibc--bleeding-edge-2021.11-1/bin/arm-linux- CFG_EMBED_DTB_SOURCE_FILE=stm32mp157f-dk2.dts PLATFORM=stm32mp1 -j16 build ATF: make CROSS_COMPILE=/opt/armv7-eabihf--glibc--bleeding-edge-2021.11-1/bin/arm-linux- PLAT=stm32mp1
I was wondering if its possible to directly flash the STM32MP1 using UART using the STM32CubeProgrammer ? if so are there any tutorials that can be followed ?
I have acquired both boards. Here is the link to the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSIYaWOmzS4
I am integrating the cube programmer API into some end of line production test. I've been able to use the API for loading firmware images, and I can prepare a board for OTP programming by loading TFA and uboot, but I can find no API support for programming OTP on the MP1 parts, am I missing something or is this absent from the API? How is this done within the programmer CLI tool? (i.e. how to the OTP commands function, what API calls do they use so I can replicate some of this functionality)I can't easily use the existing programmer CLI to automate since I'm working with 6 boards still on a panel prior to breakout, and the CLI (and API) doesn't handle multiple connected instances well when repeatedly executing programmer CLI commands as the USB device instance seems to change and I need to be sure which boards I'm programming unique values to (e.g. MAC address / serial number etc)It would be really useful if ST followed NXPs lead and open sourced their programming tools so we could sor

Hi, Is there any way to give a more meaningful name to a serial port with the device tree, so that is shows up in the linux kernel?Right now, in a device tree, it is possible to choose an alias in the alias node. But they do show up as ttySTMx in the /dev directory.Is there a way to make it work so that it gets a more intutive name like rs232? For my specific layout some serial ports are connected to a specific interface./ { aliases { serial1 = &usart1; }; }; /*root*/ // Instead / { aliases { rs232 = &usart1; }; }; /*root*/
Hi everyone, I recently picked up a STM32MP157F-DK2 board and trying out this embedded linux. Very new to it all.I did some research and it looks like the traditional way is to use one of the build systems, such as buildroot to create your own distribution, however as to get a more of a feel and going along on my own paste I would like to get Ubuntu onto this board.Based on the research if you have a .img file it should be the easiest way to get linux up and running just by flashing it to your SD card and having the board boot up from it. This is not the case for me. I tried using this https://ubuntu.com/core/docs/supported-platforms (ubuntu-core-22-pi) reasoning being its a ARM Cortex-A7 as well. The questions that I have are this, why does it not boot up? I just expect for all the hardware not to be handled properly on the STM32MP157 board but still to boot. Is there even a way to get ubuntu onto this board? Once again this is all new to me I am not even sure what I am doing is corre
Hello:I installed 'cups' and 'hplip', and successfully installed HP_ LaserJet_ 1010 driver through 'hp-setup', but when I print files through 'lp', the printer doesn't respond, and a 'filter failed' error occurs. Hi,I was following the instructions from the ST wiki (How to build kernel for Android) on how to build the android kernel, however, on the last step, when instructed to build the final android images (make -j) I get the following error:"Cannot extract kernel configs in out/target/product/eval/kernel"I am attempting to build without any configuration changes or modifications to the kernel.
hi,i would like to disable the uart debug console so that i can use uart4 for something else. how do i disable the console?thanks,vince
Hi everyone,I am trying to trim the internal RTC of an STM32MP157 to run slightly faster. According to the reference manual, you need to set bits CALP and CALM[8:0] in RTC_CALR to do so.Here is what I did (using devmem2:(# Enable write access to RTC_CALR ./devmem2 0x5C004024 h 0xCA ./devmem2 0x5C004024 h 0x53 # Write calibration factor (CALP=1, CALM=327) to RTC_CALR ./devmem2 0x5C004028 h 0x8147Reading back the contents of register RTC_CALR returns 0x0147 instead of 0x8147, which corresponds to CALP=0.Measuring the RTC deviation confirms that CALP does not get set to 1.I am aware that using hwclock with adjtime can easily work around this issue. Yet not knowing what is going wrong here keeps bugging me...
Hello all, I have stm32mp157dk2 board and I was using zeep package in it (as custom layer with the help of recipe from ST community). Lately got a need for aiortc package but recieved a recipe from community but the employee has tested it new ecosystem, so it didnt work in older one. So as soon they released new ecosystem, I built the distribution package and added both zeep and aiortc to it.But after flashing the board, pip3 commands are not working, shows "NoModuleFoundError" for "colorsys" whenever I try and the zeep package shows same error for "attr" and aiortc (compiled successfully but) shows "NoModuleFoundError" for "av" . As pip3 is not working I'm unable to get these missing modules. How to fix this issue? Also I'm putting those recipes below, so any suggestions on changes in these recipes to make them work in new ecosystem is appreciated :)DESCRIPTION = "aiortc is a library for Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC) and \ Object Real-Time Communication (ORTC) in Python." I connected the board to the OTG port. In the DFU mode, the USB port can be recognised correctly. When switching to the normal mode, Windows 10 cannot recognise the device. I tried to force to install the device as "Remote NDIS Compatible Device". Windows shows device status as "This device cannot start (Code 10)".I have stuck on this issue for more than 2 weeks. Please help!

Hello, I'm new to the liniux embedded system. We need LTE 4g module (location india) with GPS which can be connected to STM32MP157 through usb or any other peripheral. Is there any module to use it. Thank your
HelloI was wondering if you planned to support kirsktone (next yocto LTS) supposed to be released soon. Do you have any info on the port?Thanks
The image that comes with the board has WiFI and USB OTG working. I am adding additional networking (VPN, firewall) to my Yocto build. I have attempted to build core-image-base and am able to see the wlan0 adapter but something in that build is disabling the VPN.
