Hello. Im having issues generating an event when pressing read on my smartphone, on my CHAR_PROP_READ characteristic in my BLE service. I enabled the "GATT_NOTIFY_READ_REQ_AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP", which should notify when a read request of any type is received for this attribute. When i build the project and debug in the service_EventHandler for this service, it shows that the eventhandler is never entered when clicking read. I do receive the value that is initialized, so communication is working. When i test the "GATT_NOTIFY_WRITE_REQ_AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP" for the write equivalent event, this works just fine, so its just the read event that is not generated.Any idea why im not getting an event when reading?
Hi.We need to design a custom board for LoRa 923MHz network.I have read the AN5457 provides the example for 923MHz network. (A.1.6)But I can't find RF Power Amplifier Impedance & LNA (Differential) Input Impedance for UFQFPN48 package @923MHz.Could you please give me those data of this package and this frequency? Thanks
Hi,I am using the STM32WB5MMG microcontroller, and I am facing an issue with the SPI NSS pin configuration. Before putting the MCU into Stop2 mode for low-power sleep, I configure the SPI NSS pin (PA4) as analog to reduce current consumption. After the MCU wakes up, I reinitialize all the SPI pins, including setting the NSS pin back to output mode. However, I am using the SX1262 LoRa module, and it seems that the NSS pin is not functioning correctly after wakeup, leading to a TX timeout. Based on discussions in the LoRa forum, it's mentioned that deinitializing the NSS pin during sleep could cause such issues upon wakeup if the pin is not properly reconfigured.Could you please guide me on the correct steps or additional configurations needed for proper SPI initialization after waking up from Stop2 mode? Any advice to ensure the NSS pin works correctly after sleep would be helpful.Thank you!
What is the format of the file when loading an encrypted key into the FUS of WB55 via STM32Programmer_CLI? I am aware that the encrypted key is formed from using the master key, a 12-byte nonce and authenticated data of 00 00 00 02. I would think you'd need to include the 12-byte nonce in the file, but I am not seeing anything specific in ST documentation on how this file would be formatted (i.e. binary file with 12-byte nonce concatenated with encrypted key or vice-versa). Thanks!
I want to be able to run on battery and turn on the BLE to advertise for 5 minutes then stop. After some time, I want to be able to turn on advertising again. I'm able to initially start the advertising and start the timer to stop advertising. However, I can't seem to find a way to wakeup CPU2 to start advertising again.I'm using the function to start a 5 minute timer to stop the advertising:HW_TS_Start(BleApplicationContext.Advertising_mgr_timer_Id, gAdvertisingConnectionTimeout);Once the timer expires it calls Adv_Cancel() which stops the advertising, aci_gap_set_non_discoverable(). Since the Sequencer is IDLE, it sends the CPU2 into Stop2 mode. What are the steps to get it out of the Stop2 mode and start advertising again?
Good day I have recently purchased the board found in this link: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/p-nucleo-lrwan3.htmlI am running to a lot of issues and need some help. Firstly , where do i find the Loriot gateway lrwan3 firmware. I have a suspicion that the installed code is outdated. Secondly, the cudeID expanion pack does not have sx1278, which is what the end node uses. What would you suggest i do :
Hello, on STM32WB is it possible to use shared RAM for the user app?For example, I have the following on my STM32WB15CC:FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 162K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20030000, LENGTH = 10KDoes that mean unused RAM above the last object (APPD_GeneralConfig) can be used by the user app?

Hi together,I am working with the STM32WB55 and connecting it with different configurations to Homeassistant via Zigbee2mqtt.The Zigbee2mqtt auto generates a config file with the available endpoints etc., that looks like this:const definition = { zigbeeModel: ['STM32WB'], model: 'STM32WB', vendor: 'STMicroelectronics', description: 'Automatically generated definition', extend: [light({"color":true})], meta: {}, };Since I plan to configure different MCUs with different endpoints, I need to change those identifiers to make them unique to Homeassistant. Where are those identifiers or names set? I could not find this in the documentation. Thanks
Hi ST Experts, We have a BLE project based on the STM32L476 and HM11 BLE and we are looking to minimize the component count and shrink the board size. We want to replace the STM32L476 with a BLE and MCU single chip solution and we are considering the STM32WB55CGU6, kindly advice the most suitable MCU for a BLE.We also need a single chip BMS solution with integrated charge controller, protection circuits (Over temperature, over charge/discharge protection etc), Wireless charging (is nice to have), Integrated battery gauge with I2C interface (to read out battery State of Charge and battery Health). We would love to schedule a meeting to discuss further our requirements.Looking forward to your response.Regards, Paul.
Dear Sir, I use wl33 mcu with rtos, but when I set to stop mode, It didn't success. Is there a freertos examle? If I want to sleep with freertos in IDLE task , how can I achieve?
Hi, I'm currently just for learning experience trying to learn about Zigbee and how it works through IPCC. This boils down to a program that I wrote that tries to setup the Zigbee stack.I've OnOff_Server_Coord example as a guidance on how it should be implemented and there is one thing that I can't really understand. Here is how I do it and what results I expect.I first get an asyncevt (0x92) which from my understanding is SHCI_SUB_EVT_CODE_READY. After this I do the shci_c2_zigbee_init that setsups the traces queue as well as the TL_ZIGBEE_TABLE. I get a shci success response to this. So far so good. But now when I send a ZB_INIT message into the ZIGBEE_TO_CMD_BUFFER I do get a response but not quite what I expected. If I check with the debugger on address 0x20030843 in my program the response is 0x0a000008, but if I run it with the OnOff_Server_Coord it's 0x00000008 (ID). The size looks good (1 in both cases). Does anyone have any idea why it might write this extra 0x0a? Th
Hi,I have many routers for sending data to the coordinator. I want to use table routing. How can I implement this? And how does table routing work? What happens behind the scenes?Best Regards,
Hi allIm using Nucleo WBA52CG development board with STM32Cube FW_WBA V1.4.0After generating code for BLE using STM32_WPAN i get error ble_wrap.c: No such file or directoryAny help?
When configuring the LCO output on an STM32WB05TZ with STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 using STM32Cube FW_WB0 V1.0.0, the Generated code is missing the GPIO "Alternate" parameter, as a consequence, the output does not appear in the pin.Below is the fix that worked for me./*Configure GPIO pin : PB12 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_12; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF1_LCO; // <----- Missing HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); Cheers,David C.
Hello Community,Greetings of the day.I'm using the Nucleo WB55RG board. I'm trying to initialize and connect the wb55rg BLE with my mobile app.So, I'm following the stm32wb getting started video series, video part-12b. (video link - https://youtu.be/CKYWy7LKL68?si=_UNNvolzgO88g9_H).I did exactly what's done in this video. I Generated the code, Build & Run it using STM32cubeIDE. I got NO error in the code. But still, I could not see the name of my BLE device on ST BLE Toolbox app.Why is this exactly happening? Possible reasons?Any alternative procedure/approach is most welcomed. Share your experience.
Colleagues. The STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.20.0 library for STM32Cube_MX version 6.12 allows me to create DMA2 channels for B-WB1M-WPAN1. However, the startup_stm32wb1mxx_cm4.s and stm32wb1mxx.h files do not contain DMA2 interrupt vectors. Error[Pe020]: identifier "DMA2_Channel4" is undefinedWhat should I do?
We are developing a Matter device using X-CUBE-MATTER.When we set CFG_FULL_LOW_POWER to 1 to enable sleep mode, pressing B1 for 10 seconds does not enter Factory Reset and BLE advertising is not executed. When we checked the current consumption, it seems to be in sleep mode, but because BLE advertising is not executed, commissioning is not possible. Please tell me the solution or the specification. The development environment is described below.Hardware: STM32WB5MMG-DKFirmware: Window-App-SBSFUX-CUBE-MATTER Version: 1.1Implementation CFG_FULL_LOW_POWER is set to 1
I want to write a function for the STM32WB55 where BLE advertising is always active, and the processor performs the necessary tasks, then sleeps and wakes up using RTC Wakeup.I want to do it with STOP2 mode, but my processor consumes 3mA and does not enter sleep mode. Instead of doing this through CubeMX, I want to manually put it to sleep whenever I choose, but I haven't been successful. Could you show me an example or a resource I can refer to for this?
Hello,I am looking to add an STDC14 header to my design.I am concerned that by putting such a connector on the board, this will allow 3rd parties to simply buy an STLINK and reprogram my device.I am not familiar with STM32, so in the interest of speed, can anyone tell me if the SWD and BOOT pins can be disabled following an initial programming? If not is there a method of protecting these pins from 3rd parties? Thanks
Hi, I have copied a sample project from STM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.4.1 to another location. After importing the project into CubeIDE1.16.1 and compiling it, I got the error message: make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Utilities/trace/adv_trace/stm32_adv_trace.c', needed by 'Utilities/stm32_adv_trace.o'. Stop. After cleaning the project, same result. Can somebody help?
Hi, i have started testing the STM32WL Nucleo-64 with the Lorawan End Node Firmware. At first it seem to run OK, the device connects to the gateway and the data packets reach the platform i use. But the device stops working correctly with a few mwters of distance. I have seen that the BGS13S4N9 chip is not being powered, and the signals FE_CTRL1, FE_CTRL2 and FE_CTRL3 are always on reset state, though the firmware is setting them on.I have not modify the pinout or any configuration not needed. Is this a firmware configuration issue? Kind Regards,LuisL
Hi,I'm working with the STM32WLE5JC mcu and Cube firmware 1.13.0. Can someone explain how the module/stack implements adaptive data rate? I can see from lora_app.h that it is enabled by default, but exactly how is it implemented? The screenshot is from LmHandler.c, where it seems to be disabled for LoRaWAN version 1.0.4 (which is what we are currently using). So, to clarify:* In what LoRaWAN versions is ADR enabled/implemented?* How is it implemented?
We tested LoRa wio e-5 using AT factory firmware initially and it worked fine with TTN and gateway. Now after erasing AT firmware and using STM32CubeIDE we are trying to connect wio-e5 dev kit to the things network LNS with our sensecap m2 gateway which is also connected to TTN and sending data, but our wio-e5 is not connecting to TTN application server. We followed the seeed studio github and seeed studio docs for this. We have set our dev eui, join eui, and appkey in the macros of se-identity.h file in STM32CubeIDE according to our generated TTN application server details. Hi community,I am using the STM32WLE5CC MCU on a self designed board and I am having problems to Join the device to my hub.The code is based on the LoRaWAN_End_Node example supplied by ST and addapted to my MCU following https://community.st.com/t5/tkb/articleprintpage/tkb-id/stm32-mcus-knowledge-base/article-id/702. I think there is no issue on this step as I have the same user board with STM32WLE5C8 working properly. The problem is that the MCU keeps sending the JoinRequest while it has been already accepted by the hub and starts a bucle as it can be seen at the image below.Have you experienced something similar? Thanks in advance.
