Hi,I am a new to STM32WB55 Nucleo and have just started to understand it from the examples provided by the ST. In this process, I have observed unknown data format on hyper terminal. i tried with different baudrates and all the available UART library examples but none of them resolved this issue. May i know the reason why this Board is showing unknown data format for this uart examples. Thanks, Suyodhana

Using STM32Cube, I can build the demo project MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG fresh from the zipfile fine. However, you cannot open the MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.ioc file in it's original location. You get and error that it is the wrong name. So I copy MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.ioc from the MOTENV1 directory , into the MOTENV1/STM32CubeIDE/MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG directory. (where it should be)But if I open it there, make no changes and and regenerate the code, I get numerous errors. The first is: motenv_stm.c:149:3: error: unknown type name 'MOTENV_STM_App_Notification_evt_t'; did you mean 'EDS_STM_App_Notification_evt_t'?Diffing against the previous directory shows numerous changes. Looking at just the .ioc file when opened with CUBE, these lines are different:188,189c188,189< ProjectManager.CustomerFirmwarePackage=..\\..\\..\\..< ProjectManager.DefaultFWLocation=false---> ProjectManager.CustomerFirmwarePackage=> ProjectManager.DefaultFWLocation=true208,209c208,209< ProjectManage
Specifically, I am trying to compile the STM32WB Dongle Thread General CoAP example. Although this isn't a problem specific to STM32 but more with the IDE, I was hoping somebody might have a hint on how to solve the issue. Also, all of the files exist within the scope of the workspace. Hello,I'm currently developing an application on the STM32WB55 that utilises IEEE802.15.4 communication. Based on the example application project from the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.2.0 package (802.15.4 MAC), I was able to successfully (well, at least to some point) make the communication between an RFD and an FFD work. There is one problem, though. The association process goes well; then I send some data from the RFD using the MAC_MCPS_DATA_REQ command. The FFD gets the data and calls the APP_MAC_mcpsDataIndCb callback. I am, however, unable to read the payload of the MCPS frame. What I get in the application running on the CPU1 core from the CPU2 after the frame reception is a MAC_dataInd_t struct, inside of which there is an msduPtr pointer that should point to some buffer with payload data. As I observed, it points to an address in the SRAM2a protected area (always around 0x20035000; SBRSA option byte is set to 0xA, so the beginning of the protected area should be at 0x20032800). It appea
Hi,I'm using STM32WB55 controller in my project for low power BLE. But I have zero knowledge on BLE. Can any one help me in understanding from basics of BLE.
Hlw Sir,I am piyush kumar having a STM32F030 Nucleo Board and one ESP8266 WIFI Module.I am very new to IOT . Can you please guide me on this how can i start IOT with these two.
Hi,Does somebody have any application notes or some articles, that describes, how to run BLE example under STM32CubeIDE and debug it there?--Best regards,Sergii
Hello, i have two b-l072z board and making LoRa comm as point to point. While I sending ADC data I want to add packet to timestamp. I have inspected hw_rtc.c file and find HW_RTC_GetCalenderValue function. But it make me confusing because of static function. How get RTC_TimeStruct in my main file? Thanks.Selim.
I am having problems running LPTIM1 off the LSE. When I set up and interrupt it is firing ever clock cycle and does not seem to be clearing. RCC_BDCR_LSERDY bit is active before selecting the LPTIM1 clock source. I have also tried disabling the interrupt and just enabling a PWM output. This results in a toggle every clock cycle on the output pin instead of the expected duty cycle and period. Is this related to the issue mentioned in this errata (2.7.2)? static void LPTIM_Init(void) { /* Disable LPTIM1 */ RCC->APB1ENR1 &= ~RCC_APB1ENR1_LPTIM1EN; /* Change Clock Source */ RCC->CCIPR &= ~RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL; RCC->CCIPR |= RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL_0 | RCC_CCIPR_LPTIM1SEL_1; // Select LSE as source /* Reset LPTIM1 */ RCC->APB1RSTR1 |= RCC_APB1RSTR1_LPTIM1RST; RCC->APB1RSTR1 &= ~RCC_APB1RSTR1_LPTIM1RST; /* Enable During Sleep */ RCC->APB1SMENR1 |= RCC_APB1SMENR1_LPTIM1SMEN; //Enable During Sleep RCC->C2APB1SMENR1 |= RCC_C2APB1SMENR1_
I read that STM32WB current models do not currently support a Bluetooth 5 coded PHY. Is it possible it will someday with an upgrade to the CoProc Binaries, or is it not in the silicon at all?If not does ST have any parts on the roadmap that will?
Hi, I am new programming with STM microcontrollers and I would need to to program the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 development board with the Adafruit Ultimate GPS module quickly. The idea is to see the GPS data in the simplest way.Could you please help with this? Any example or information will be appreciated. Thanks
I'm using BLE_p2pRouteur example code. In app_conf.h, CFG_TX_POWER is #defined to 0x18, and the comment next to it says 0 dbm. This parameter gets passed to aci_hal_set_tx_power_level(1, CFG_TX_POWER). The documentation of this function in UM1865 indicates this parameter has valid values between 0 and 7. So what does a value of 0x18 mean, and how do I set the TX power to known power levels? Thanks...Brian
Hi guys,im working on project with STM32WB55RG and noticed very strange behaviour of RTC peripheral. After power up everything works fine but after reset RTC peripheral won't initialize. I'm using HAL library. After further investigation of code I've found that problem is with unlocking write protection on RTC register. After reset writing 0xCA and 0x53 to WPR takes no effect (can't write anything to register). Again, after power-up everything works. The problem is only with RTC, everything else works no matter what.I'd like to add I'm using TrueStudio and LSI clock source. This happens on all 3 prototypes I have. Maybe you guys will help because I'm out of ideas.
I have been looking into ways to implement Thread network co-processor (NCP) with STM32WB and could no find any.
Hello,From where I can get the HDP profile example of STM32 MCUs?
Now ,STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.2.1 cannot find in ST web site.Does that version have any ploblem?
If I want to assign a master/manager for sigfox module #B-l072z-lrwan1 as seen on attached file, how it detect to that slave sigfox module #B-l072z-lrwan1 ?Is that any guideline/manual instruction that you can provide?
Hi ,I am trying to get quick start STM32WB55 Nucleo Board using low power application example. I tried to execute LPTIM example from Examples_LL folder (P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo) in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.2.0. I followed the read me file to get the expected output as LED2 to toggle. But that is not happening. I observe no toggle of LED2 on the board. May i know the setup required in order to make LPTIM application to work. Do we need to include CMOS battery on to the board. I tried to debugg the session, but as soon as the controller enters in to stop mode, debug session is getting closed. May i know the reason for this. Does debug session will work when controller is in STOP mode. Thanks,Suyodhana
Hi All,I would like to use the OTP memory in my current project, but I can not find any app notes or user manuals on how to program it. Is it supported by STM32 Cube Programmer CLI? There is no reference to it for the STM32WB OTP in UM2237.Thanks,Daniel
Hi everyone,I have made a custom board which has an on-board STM32WB Controller along with a 3G Modem to connect with the internet. On the internet, I have my custom Web Server where some parameters are present. I want to fetch those parameters from the web server and save them inside the Controller so that hardware can buzz at a specific time defined in those parameters. All the communication with server is supposed to occur over MQTT. However, I don't know how to get started. If someone can please guide me thoroughly. I'll be very thankful.Warm Regards,
Hi, I am making some test in low power mode using the end_node example for LoRa but I always get 0.5mA in sleep mode, I use the STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.2.1 version and I am doing measurements in the JP3 VDD_MCU_LRA branchI have read this post where @Remco Groenendaal recommend us this:To get to the lowest power consumption mode using the B072, one should:1.- be absolutely sure TCXO is not connected to vdd but connected to PA12 (vdd_tcxo) I have changed JP9 to pins 1-2 but is the sameand in the same post @Kevin Genskowsky told us this:Finaly solve it ,Conected VDD_TCX0 to PA10and changed ,mlm32l0xx_hw_conf.h ♯ define RADIO_TCXO_VCC_PORT GPIOA , ♯ define RADIO_TCXO_VCC_PIN GPIO_PIN_10And worked imidiatly PA12 might have some extra configuration that is missing. So this is very confuse because I don't know if is necessary to change the control pin of TCXO or the solution is just change the position of JP9, or both2.- set all your defined (and unused) pins to anal
Hi.Based on the OTA example, I created an application. The only difference is the use of MTU = 256.The length of the characteristic is equal to MTU android pixel (126)The problem is that when sending firmware from a custom application to an Android Pixel, all packages very rarely arrive. A lot is lost.At the same time, when testing on Android Nexus 7, all packages come.At first, I decided that a Pixel transmits data faster than a Nexus and reduced the transmission speed by delay. Only a delay of 100ms between the transfer of packets allowed to receive all packets. But at the Nexus, packets are transmitted approximately every 20ms and everything comes. Then I limited the length of the characteristic to 20 bytes and nothing changed, when transferring from a Pixel, data is lost. The next step, on the chip side, I removed the code that writes to the flash and bingo!, with a characteristic length of 126, without using the delay, all the data comes.Question to the respected community and STM en
I changed the default class to class c in the main.c of I-Cube_lrwan V1.2.2, but it seems to be acting as a Class A still. I am working the Multitech Conduit gateway and the B-L072Z-LRWAN1. They are communicating with each other continuously, but I am trying to make it so the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 only responds when the gateway sends a message. The B-L072Z-LRWAN1 constantly sends messages to the gateway. How do I stop this?
Everything seems to work fine in putty except the join, but the signal is not received by TTN, while it is received when i use v1.1.2 (https://github.com/drakkar-lig/st-lrwan). I changed the devEUI, appEUI and appKey.
