Hello,I have the Nucelo-WB55 and my own board with STM32WB55CG.I've developed a BLE software on the Nucleo-WB55 and it works fine. When I uploaded the software to my own board it seems to have some problems.I configured all clocks, GPIOs and etc. (Believe I did it write).I see the BLE device (my own board) on the list of BLEs device, but when I want to connect to the device, the device unable to connect. When I work with Nucleo-WB55, it works fine and I can connect and see all device services.I working with IAR IDE, and useing BLE scanner App to get the BLE devices. What am I missing? what is the different between the MCUs and what configuration I missed??Thanks,Lior Malik
Hello,We have a made two PCBs with STM32WB55CGU6 Microcontroller in which the sole programming mode is by flashing the program into the Microcontroller by DFU Mode via STM32Cube Programmer. For the first PCB, we erased all the selected sectors in the PCB and after that, we were unable to recognize the USB device in DFU mode anymore and now we have unknown USB devce with code 43 where it is unable to detect the current device. The error is as shown below. For the second PCB, we wanted to test out the Bluetooth module where we found that the firmware for the Bluetooth is not up to date and thus, we flahsed the stm32wb5x_FUS_ fw.bin and stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin found in the STM file in Github https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/tree/master/Projects/STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x. We then flashed our program into the Microcontroller at the address 0x80000 then after a while we were unable to detect the USB and obtain the first error above. Performing a simple
Hi, I am developing a wearable device which obtain data from set of sensors, perform digital signal processing and upload to server or share data via BLE. Please suggest me a MCU series which has following feature,Wireless support DSP support Dual core - if possible Low power I found that ESP32 meet my requirements, but I would like to see options available with STM32 as they have good support etc.Thank you, Dilshan N.
Hi Team ST,We are using STM32WB55 series MCU for our project.RTC time not persist after resetting device. So for that we have comment out below three lines from SystemClock_Config() function. //LL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); // LL_RCC_ForceBackupDomainReset(); //LL_RCC_ReleaseBackupDomainReset();After doing this now if we reset/reboot the device then device is not power up.Is this change impact to device power up stage? If we uncomment this part then, after resetting board again device is power on and works normally. So if this change is mandatory then how we can persist RTC time and date?Let me know if anything required from my side.
I've been trying to get this to work for weeks now.The board is functioning fine when I try the examples e.g. BLE-HID, but when I build a new application based on the code generated from CubeMX I can't connect to the board over BLE.The advertising is semi-working, as I can see the board, but I can't see the services nor do a pairing with the device.I have added the IPCC and RTC interrupt handlers, but the problem seems to be with initialization. The HW_IPCC_Rx_Handler is being tripped constantly. When compairing to the functionality of the BLE-HID example, once the initial setup is done, this handler is only tripped once an acutal connection is attempted. To me this indicates that these events are not being handled correctly, but I'm not able to determine what I am missing.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Baseline:I can install FUS and Wireless Stack binaries via SWD just fine. I can re-install the wireless stack without a problem when no auth key is programmed. My problem:As soon as I install an auth key, installing/updating the wireless stack results in anError: -- Reserved --I recon this is because the FUS now also checks wireless stack binaries against the user auth key. In this situation I would expect the error to be: FUS_STATE_IMG_NOT_AUTHENTICI tried signing the wireless stack binary with my auth key (using the prepareimage tool). But I'm quite sure I did something wrong, because when I install that signed binary I actually receive the FUS_STATE_IMG_NOT_AUTHENTIC error. So the second question is:How to sign an STM binary with a user auth key? AN5185 states in Chapter 4: "The instruction to sign a binary with user authentication key are provided in STM32CubeProgrammer user manual." But I only see the commands to write they key via the bootloader.
HiI`m trying to read temperature from a Sensirion STS3X sensor using I2C3 with PB13 and PB14 configuredMy problem is , during tranmission I2C_WaitOnTXISFlagUntilTimeout returns HAL_ERROR and I can`t talk to sensor.I have used Cube project to generate filesI2C Initstatic void MX_I2C3_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END I2C3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C3_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END I2C3_Init 1 */ hi2c3.Instance = I2C3; hi2c3.Init.Timing = 0x20502B38; hi2c3.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c3.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c3.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c3.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c3.Init.OwnAddress2Masks = I2C_OA2_NOMASK; hi2c3.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c3.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_DISABLE; if (HAL_I2C_Init(&hi2c3) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Configure Analogue filter */ if (HAL_I2CEx_ConfigAnalogFilter(&hi2c3, I2C_ANALOGFILTE
I am considering using a STM32WB55CEU6 in a project that requires a camera module and 802.15.4 connectivity. The chosen camera module outputs data using a 8bit parallel interface (HSYNC/VSYNC/PXCLK). The Pixel clock is 6MHz.Can the STM32WB55CEU6 DMA from GPIO?Can the STM32WB55CEU6 DMA from GPIO @ at a data rate of 6MBytes/sec?Can the STM32WB55CEU6 be configure in such a way that the DMA transfers can be synchronised on HSYNC/VSYNC assertions? An link to app note and code examples would also really help. Many thanksJohn
I am working on a project based on the BLE Beacon application in the P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo board. After broadcasting for some time, it is stopped and the system enters successfully Standby mode, from which it will wake up with the RTC.The RTC wakes up CPU1 as expected but the program gets stuck after the initialization. After some debugging, I think the problem is that CPU2 does not enter Run mode, instead it stays at Stop mode waiting for a wake-up source (cfr. CPU2 boot options on Reference Manual RM0434), so CPU1 stays stuck waiting a response from CPU2 before initializing the BLE application. There is this function in the auto-generated code from CubeMX that seems to solve exactly this problem:void HW_IPCC_Enable( void ) { /** * When the device is out of standby, it is required to use the EXTI mechanism to wakeup CPU2 */ LL_C2_EXTI_EnableEvent_32_63( LL_EXTI_LINE_41 ); LL_EXTI_EnableRisingTrig_32_63( LL_EXTI_LINE_41 ); /** * In case the SBSFU is implemented, it may have alre
I have created a BLE server with required services. ( I have verified the data like ble server name, RSSI in smart phone which is treated as a client) . and i wrote a ble client program in stm32wb nucleo USB dongle, it is able to scan and connect to the ble server. But i want access BLE server name, RSSI, Tx power and battery level in BLE client. How can i read those??
I am trying the zigbee apps in 'STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.7.0'. However the firmware upgrade is never successful. I followed the Release Note but i can't get FUS state. I have tried with FUS 1.02 and 1.1 but it doesn't work. I thought maybe FUS is already up to date, so I tried zigbee firmware. It doesn't work, although I believe that I entered correctly the address in the binary table. I can still connect the nucleo board via stlink, but my PC no longer recognizes the USB dongle. The log is shown below, do you have any idea what is the problem?16:26:51 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.4.016:26:55 : ST-LINK SN : 0679FF31333541504315161616:26:55 : ST-LINK FW : V2J35M2616:26:55 : Voltage : 3.28V16:26:55 : SWD freq : 4000 KHz16:26:55 : Connect mode: Normal16:26:55 : Reset mode : Software reset16:26:55 : Device ID : 0x49516:26:55 : UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ...16:26:55 : Bank : 0x0016:26:55 : Ad
Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, I had a search and all I could find was an old discussion about TrueStudio not doing it and it didn't really go anywhere.Simple question, is there a way to setup the option bytes (BOOT0,1, etc.) within STM32CubeIDE? I know it can be done in the CubeProgrammer and ST-Link, etc. but since you can program the chip from the IDE, it seems a sensible place to set the options. If it affects the answer, I am using the STM32WB55 on my own board. Thanks,Andrew
To bring a design to production I need to determine which FUS version is installed. In this design I do not have access to the USB/UART Bootloader, I only have SWD and UART on alternate pins.On a processor on which I manually installed FUS 1.1.0 I successfully read the FUS version by calling SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState twice to ensure that FUS is actually running and then reading memory location 0x20030030.On 0.5.3 my program hangs during C2 core initialization (I can handle this, no answer is also an answer)On 1.0.2 I get 0x00010001 as a result, which does not match the expected value of 0x01000200On 1.1.0 I get the expected value of 0x01010000(all values as described in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.7.0/Projects/STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/Release_Notes.html)
Would it be possible to already provide the SVD file for the STM32WL family? It would be very useful to be able to already prepare some work for when the chip becomes widely available.
Hi I have a custom made PCB with a STM32WB55CGU6. It is normally programmed via USB DFU mode using the USB_DP and USB_DM of the microcontroller. I dont know why but it is unable to be detected by my computer as it is unrecognizable with an error of code 43 as shoiwn in the diagram below. Here is also my Schematic & PCB layout for the programming part. Here is also a link to the datasheet of the STM32: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ed=2ahUKEwjbxrremrjqAhXCoXEKHdKkBmQQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.st.com%2Fresource%2Fen%2Fdatasheet%2Fstm32wb55cc.pdf&usg=AOvVaw1alFzy0x1GLOyfV8ewuUljDo you guys have any suggestions on why it doesnt detect the microcontroller correctly?
CubeMX just truncate my const to set 1000. CubeIDE is the same.
I want to work on STM32WL control. For testing purposes want STM32Wl series Nucleo Board. Is this available or not?
I want to create to custom app for my acceleration sensor, and WB55-USB_Dongle have to receive the FFT data. Thanking in advance.
i am using stm32wb55 nueclo board, and i created a ble service for read, write and notify. In write and notify services i am able to send the data(20 bytes) to the client. but i want to send upto 100 bytes. How can i extend payload size?
Hey,APP_TX_DUTYCYCLE doesn't really do its job. I set it to 1s and my messages are being sent so that it always skips one. Example:1st message sent, 3rd message sent, 5th mesage sent..Upon increasing the DC parameter it works fine. What is causing this? I have turned duty cycle off so that isn't the problem. Message's TOA should be around 120ms according to LoRa calculator, so I should be able to lower APP_TX_DUTYCYCLE even more. Also when sending 70 bytes of payload or above it sends data only once and then never again.
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but essentially I want to modify the LoRaWAN end-node example for STM32L476 using SX1262 transceiver to work with an STM32L433 mcu, initially making use of a Nucleo-L433RC-P board with a transceiver module wired to it, eventually shifting this to a custom board with STM32L433.Have done something similar before for the STM32L073 processor, although that was more straightforward as that mcu is one of the example ones provided in the STM LoRaWAN code.
Hello! I'm working with the P-Nucleo-WB55 development kit (STM32WB55 chip) and was trying to setup a project for my first time using STM32CubeIDE. My application is going to want to start up, initialize the peripherals and sensors, then go to sleep and wait for an interrupt to wake it up. The initial setup has it powered up for 0.1 ms and then in "Stop 2" for 0.9 ms. From a power perspective, that makes sense but for just getting started, I'm concerned I might select the wrong settings and not be able to develop on this properly (in case my I2C signals can't be sent out before it goes to sleep mode, etc). Is there a recommended setting for getting started (possibly being on all the time and then change to low power mode later on)? Is there a better way to set it up for my application?I think I'm just a little bit intimidated by the power settings initially and don't want to cause issues with learning the project if I choose the wrong settings. Any help you can give me would be apprecia
I have been trying to get the stm32wb nucleo working with the st7789 lcd but have only observed strange behavior. I have successfully gotten it to work with the stm32f103c8t6 using the code found here. When CPOL=0 on the stm32f103 the screen does not work but on the stm32wb when CPOL=0 the screen will initiate and commands can be sent to it successfully. However when I try to send a frame nothing happens. I have also checked that the DC pin is working as it should. I am confused by the strange behavior observed when CPOL=0, other than that, this is the only thing I have observed when using the stm32wb.This is the only code changed between the two projects:Original GPIOInit code (stm32f103):void st7789_GPIOInit(void) { // Enable GPIOA and SPI1 clock RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_IOPAEN | RCC_APB2ENR_SPI1EN; // Enable DMA1 channel //RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_DMA1EN; // Enable SPI ST7789_SPI->SR = 0; // Reverse polarity? ST7789_SPI->CR1 = \ SPI_CR1_SSM | \ SPI
Hi, I'm evaluating this function pack for the STM32WB family, and it contains projects for various IDEs including STM32CubeIDE project & STM32CubeMX config file.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32-ode-function-pack-sw/fp-sns-motenvwb1.html version 1.0.0.I am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.0.2 on a Windows 10 host. Also using STM32CubeMX version 5.3.0.It loads ok, despite showing an error in the STM32_WPAN Configuration (CFG_DEBUG_BLE_TRACE and CFG_DEBUG_APP_TRACE are both enabled). In the Project Manager I select Makefile to be able to compile the project with GCC.The problem is that the generated Makefile does not compile and required some fixing.I have attached the original Makefile, the fixed version and the diff file for those who prefer this format. Is this the right way to generate the Makefile? Is there an issue with the CubeMX or the function pack provided? Thanks
My employers have made a custom board based on STM32WB55. I have developed some software but need to program this to flash. I have access to USART1 and BOOT0 pin. (I also have access to SWD, SWCLK, JTDI, JTDO). I thought that pulling BOOT0 high would enable me to talk to the bootloader over the USART but I get no response. I have tried the ST programmer and have also tried talking from my C# app by sending 0x7F at various baudrates to see if I at least get an ACK. Any help please.
