Hi, I tried to flash to the STM32WB55RG .. I am using a USB type microB connector for the flashing connected to Connector 15 (CN15) of the nucleo card (the jumper JP1 is connected to pin [7-8] and the two leds LED6 and LED5 are red) and I am using IAR .. I downloaded the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.9.0 from ST site and tried to flash a project among the examples already developed and proposed. But, I always had the following error: (ST-Link, no MCU device found) Note that the debuger in IAR is well configured in ST-Link .. Following my research, I found that 'there are solutions which suggest doing the Reset just before flashing, but it didn't work .. I downloaded ST-Link utility from the ST site .. and I tried to connect to the card to this software, but still unsuccessful .. Here is the error message from ST utility: (19:54:24: Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlu
I am trying to use the standalone USB (CN11) for Discovery board B-L072Z-LRWAN1. But nothing seems to be happening. I have shorted the two jumper SB16 and SB15 and measured a solid 3.3v on VDD_USB_LRA and VDD_MCU_LRA. The USB lines dont seem to waiver at all from 0v.My intent is to use the onboard bootloader (with BOOT0 HIGH) for programming. This question was answered before but there isn't much of an answer. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWODSA3/bl072zlrwan1-cn11-usb-conn-device-mode
I'm trying to test the antenna on a STM35WB55CCU. Is there a projet that I could download on st website that would be able to make my mcu discoverable by my phone with BLE?
Hi, I'd like know how I should enter stop2 in the most thorough way.I'm using STM32WB55x series, to enter STOP2 mode, all GPIO bands apparently needs to be initialized as analog. The problem is, I need BANK A to use EXTI to wake the chip back up into normal running mode, but if I leave the BANK A on, the power consumption will increase from a mere 3 to 4 uA to a whopping 980 uA. I seem to remember there is a mode where you CAN use a limited set of pins to wake up the chip and still reduce the stop mode power consumption to below 10 uA?Can anyone please tell me if that's possible? If so how to accomplish that?
Hello there, I have sx1262 Lora module from nice RF.In ABP mode I can sand data on TTN but during down link time node always send me Rx time out. Here I am attaching my logs. please guide me .
I'd like to validate that a given wireless firmware image will install before attempting to erase the existing wireless firmware stack (we have external storage via SPI that we download updates into). Since the firmware images are signed so that the FUS stack can validate the firmware images, I was wondering if the signature is in plaintext such that you can validate the image with the existing file format without needing the decryption key (which is inside the FUS image). That requires the following properties:The public key used to sign the images is publicThe header and/or footer of the images are in plaintextOtherwise, I can just wrap in my own format if required but was hoping the existing file format already covered this. Additionally, ideally there'd also be a signed plaintext portion of the image containing the image details (version information, and stack type). Thanks in advance!
Hi I am trying to use the AT-Slave application from icube lrwan stack on b-l072z lrwan in the IN865 band. When I give AT comand, I get AT_ERROR as response. Please help. Thanks,Mary
Is there a difference in hardware for these communication protocolls? Or is it possibile, that there will be sometime a wifi stack for the STM32WB?
Hi, recently I made a custom board with STM32WB55RGV6 but my BLE side isn't working.I used STLink to flash in the CoPro lib FW as shown in the YouTube link below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcrbUOhApd0I used the P2P_Server example for Nucleo board and verified the same code works on the Nucleo board.I used a 3GHz spectrum analyser to check on the RF pin output via direct connection but I saw nothing emitted across the whole band.I tried to read the version with STM32Programmer but all wireless FW FUS version read options are grey and no way to check on the BLE FW version loaded inside. So, I am wondering if there is anyway that I can check the loaded FW version, i.e. "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw" the M0 core? Even though it showed "Loaded successfully", is there anyway to double check? Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to make all of my STM32WB55 Zigbee network run on batteries. The SEDs are easier enough, but I need a solution for the coordinator. My current plan is to disable the Zigbee radio when not in use. What is the process to disable the Zigbee radio? I see the radio system reset bit in RCC_APB3RSTR, but that only gets me to 2.8mA idle. A complete system reset without booting CPU2 idles <1uA. Can I clone the coordinator via ZbPersistGet() and ZbStartupPersist()? It would be nice if I could restart the network and communicate with previously connected end devices. Thanks in advance for any advice on these questions or if someone recommends a different direction to get the coordinator on batteries.
I am a beginner with STM32 and the NUCLEO-STM32WB55 board. The preflashed demo application worked without problems. When I installed the STM32WB55 MCU package, a couple of examples were available like the BLE HRS service.I managed to import the project, compile and flash it, but nothing 'happened'. Couldn't see any advertisements, no UART debug messages, etc. Tried another one, still the same behavior. Started reading about the whole eco-system and saw that there were firmware binaries in the MCU package. Despite that the first pre-flashed project worked, I wanted to give it a try and flashed according to the release-notes:How to flash the Wireless Coprocessor Binary via USB (STM32CubeProgrammer GUI) Inside the below procedure, the references to binaries name and install address are provided in the section Main Changes of this file. STEP 1: Use STM32CubeProgrammer GUI Version 2.4.0 or higher. It gives access to Firmware Upgrade Service (FUS) (AN5185 : ST firm
Hello,I am trying to use the STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack to develop a BLE application. I am using cubeMX with the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.8.0 pack to generate code for the MB13355C nucleo board with STM32WB55RGV6 MCU.I have successfully set the BLE advertising settings and can read the ad with the nRF Connect app on my smartphone. But when I tried to connect my phone to the board, I couldn't get GATT services back. However the connection is successful because the card indicates to be connected as a server. Has anyone ever had this problem? And how can I solve it?Thank you for your reply!
I was wondering if it would be possible to know if adafruit’s VC0607 camera with the P-Nucleo-Wb55 board.i’m not receiving any data back from the camera and i saw that there’s other stm32 that handles jpeg multimedia that this P-Nucleo doesn’t
Hello, i'm trying to sense the temperature via ADC (DMA) and then pass it to the wireless-core M0 in order to show it on my smartphone, e.g. by using the already existing body temperature profile in the STM BLE-applications. In this existing application (also available in the workshop files) there is a running timer and simply the timer value is shown. But how can i pass the adc-buffer variable, only the M4 processor can access, to the M0 processor? I know how it works in theory, i have read the application notes but is there any example application? I think STM unfortunately does not concentrate on this topic very much..Thanks
Lora class c unconfirm message uplink return LORAMAC_STATUS_NO_FREE_CHANNEL_FOUNDI had downloaded en.I-CUBE_LRWAN. I am using Projects -> B-L072Z-LRWAN1 - > MDK ARM.I am using Class C. Hello,Can someone help me?I work with STM32CubeIDE, I-CUBE-LRWAN, Import End_Node Project example, config everything to work on Class C.Device successfully join to the network, and switch to class C done appears on Serial terminal. But, when the uplink interval comes, and serial terminal showing SEND REQUEST , there is no packet comes to the gateway (monitored over Gateway dashboard from Network Server) while Class A with same hardware and Project Files on STM32CubeIDE works.Class C is needed because I need to control relay output simultaneously.I tried on SX1276, SX1272 Mbed board, with Nucleo-L073, also on B-L072Z-LRWAN1, nothing different. We use RisingHF Network Server, Nucleo Gateway and Rising HF Gateway.Thank you
I have a mesage from STM32CubeMX: "STM32CubeMX cannot load this MCU" (latest version 6.0.1)
I need to be able to install/upgrade the CoPro from CPU1.I get the FW for CPU1 and CPU2 by its system-bootloader via SPI from another STM32-MCU. Sadly FUS-commands in the System-bootloader are only supported by USB and UART. Studying AN5185, this task sounds easy a.f., however i already fail by activating CPU2:here is my current Workflow on the P-NUCLEO-WB55-Board with FUS v1.1.0 and deleted Stack: HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_RF_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); // AN5185 1.3 How to activate FUS // Ensure Cortex®-M0+ is activated by setting C2BOOT bit in PWR_CR4 register SET_BIT(PWR->CR4, PWR_CR4_C2BOOT); /* Ensure IPCCDBA (option bytes) points to a valid shared table information structure in SRAM2a (fill correct pointers to device information table and system table) */ // struct with 6 ptr see: AN5185 Figure6 Shared table architecture IPCCDBA_T* pIpccdba; do { uint32_t ipccdbaOffset = LL_FLASH_GetIPCCBufferAddr
I trying to port STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.3.1 for the evaluation board B-L475E-IOT01A2. I managed to whittle the errors down to 2. In both cases i am getting unknown type name '__RAM_FUNC'; did you mean '__ARM_FP'?in a HAL file stm32l4xx_hal_flash_ramfunc.h generated by STM32CubeIDE. What does this error mean? The crazy thing is that __RAM_FUNC gets defined in stm32l4xx_hal_def.h, and stm32l4xx_hal_def.h is included in stm32l4xx_hal_flash_ramfunc.h, but somehow the compiler fails to register this??#if defined ( __CC_ARM ) || (defined (__ARMCC_VERSION) && (__ARMCC_VERSION >= 6010050))/* ARM Compiler V4/V5 and V6 -------------------------- RAM functions are defined using the toolchain options. I got some STM32WB55CG samples from st office and the date code is 034. The read out FUS version is 1.1.0. Has the default firmware been upgraded? Hello everyone!I'm trying to setup a very basic application and currently have my LPUART Tx and Rx pins tied together. I'm able to run the following code without any issues (well, this is the core of the code with all the initializations stripped out for quick, readability purposes) :uint8_t TX1_Char = 0x01; uint8_t RX1_Char = 0x00; int main(void) { while(1) { HAL_UART_Transmit(&hlpuart1, &TX1_Char, sizeof(TX1_Char), 100); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&hlpuart1, &RX1_Char, 1); RX1_Char = 0; HAL_Delay(100); } }Obviously, all it's doing is sending TX1_Char (value of 1) to RX1_Char. Pretty straight forward. What I want to do is have it run the HAL_UART_RECEIVE_IT function from the HAL_USART_RxCpltCallback function and receive it there. So this is essentially what I'm trying to do:uint8_t TX1_Char = 0x01; uint8_t RX1_Char = 0x00; int main(void) { while(1) { HAL_UART_Transmit(&hlpuart1, &TX1_Char, sizeof(TX1_Char), 100); //HAL_UART_Receive_IT
I'm trying to understand the SAI configuration options. I would love to be able to use PDM for Audio Input, and I2S for Audio Output. Is a configuration like that possible? Or do I need to use SPDIF for Audio Out if I'm using PDM for Audio In?
Using TeraTerm with 115000, 8, none, oneThe P-Nucleo STM32WB55 shows up as a device on the PC sideI'm new to Bluetooth. Any further debugging suggestions?Thx!
When can I expect STM32WB35CCU6A BT LE MCA to be supported in STM32CubeIDE?
