A tricky one here,Migrated the BLE_HearRateFreeRTOS to a keil FuSa project. Using uvision.During the Init process, the first BLE event that I receive after programming is an " unknown sys evt" .Trace :11/03 09:58:21.646 #1 unknown sys evt received: d811/03 09:58:21.646 Raw bytes size : 3, data: c8 d8 00After I press the reset button, and run the program again everything works fine. Using the STM32WB55.
Hello,I'm working on a STM32WBRGV6, with dual CPU's, CPU1 for main application and CPU2 for the BLE stack.I need to make the device ultra low power, and for that I launch the CPU2 in run mode only when I need it (on an external INT), with APPE_Init() function.I would like to know if there is a way to put it back to a reset state? I can only find commands to release it from reset (with C2BOOT in PWR_CR4 register), but nothing to put it back in reset. If I put CPU2 in shutdown/standby mode, it is still using too much power for my application.Thank you in advance,Rico
CubeProg 2.6.0 is very unstable! I use it to program (upgrade FUS, stack) my stm32WB55 on MB1293C board and sometimes when I push buttons CubeProg is closing.Windows 7.
I have followed the steps detailed in the release notes, but both using the GUI and the CLI I still get the error about the firmware being not authentic (despite having downloaded it from ST's website). Here's the log from the CLI:./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -fwupgrade /home/rob/Downloads/stm32/STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.0/Projects/STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin 0x080EC000 firstinstall=0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.8.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- USB speed : Full Speed (12MBit/s) Manuf. Hi,We want to start a devices production with these two MCU STM32WB50 and STM32WB55 MCU.For security control, does it exist a solution for identitfied a MCU before programming it?Thanks,
Hey, i found the pretty new User Manual 2804 for STM32WB Series. They mention HAL Drivers for STM32WB. But i cant find any source code related to this. Maybe u can help me with this.Best regardsDominik
HelloI'm configuring reception of packets with known preamble and sync word, in 2-FSK mode, but it seems like radio is doing what it wants but not what I want. Apparently although I change sync word to some different value, packets are still catched, together with proper ones. Statically it doesn't matter what do I put there, more or less both sync words give me 50% "good" packet reception. Received packet is loaded into buffer with part of preamble and sync word, which is also not good. Besides it is catched randomly, some more or less preamble and sync word part, more or less means also shifted by 4 bits (nibble) , payload is then also shifted accordingly. I don't use CRC since mechanism for that gives only one CRC in packet on last bytes, we need few of them. I don't use variable packet lenght, since it doesn't work either. First byte that contains packet length is encoded in our packets in NRZ (3out of 6), so it would have to be decoded in HW in place to make it useful for anything
Hello. I am trying to run an example of a P2P server on my own board built on the stm32wb55cc chip, I hang on the line Ble_Hci_Gap_Gatt_Init (); more specifically in the loop while((EvtSet & EvtWaited) == 0) { UTIL_SEQ_EvtIdle(current_task_id_bm, EvtWaited); }and I can’t get out of itwhy is this happening. Has anyone encountered such a problem?

For evaluating the WB55 i would like to have software on a PC that can accept data from the Nucleo board over BLE. Since my PC doesn't have the latest Bluetooth version i want to use a WB55 as the radio. Zephyr RTOS has an example that would make the board enumerate as a Bluetooth dongle after which i can use the Bluetooth stack in Linux for writing my software. However this firmware only compiles for the nordicsemi boards, the required code is not implemented for WB55. Does ST have something similar?
Hello,I am searching online for a BLE P2P example or tutorial but am having a very hard time finding anything that is relevant and not outdated. I am very new to BLE, this is my first application and could really use some assistance getting up and running.Does ST have anything like this available? Thanks for any help.
Is it possible to output the debug info on a STM32WB30 through usart? The option stays off in cubeMX and when I turn it on manually ZbInit() returns NULL.Is there a working example for the STM32WB30?Thanks!
Hello. I'm currently working on an IoT-related project using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 Discovery kit with STML072CZ microcontroller. In order to estimate when the battery will run out, I'd like to create some C++ program on Mbed OS 6.15.0 that monitors the battery voltage. However, I have no clue how to achieve this. I began using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and also Mbed OS 6 pretty recently. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Example given on STM32WB55 github page is not working on my Nucleo board. Are there any new updates? Is someone having the same problem? Also, I would like to know are there any examples except this one? (Only HeartRate is given as a possibility on CubeMX)
Hello! I have configured the RTC in cube with a frequency of 1Hz in the board STM32WB55, and I want so as to each second the RTC interruption set a task. I found out that I should use RTC_IRQHandler, but in my project I can't found this function, I don't know how to enable RTC interruption, in cube V1.5 I only see the alarm's interruptions. How should I proceed?
Hello, Selecting the NUCLEO WL55JC2 board, then initialized with the peripherals.Enabled both SUBGHZ and SUBGHZ_PHY mode.(in older SUBGHZ_Phy_PingPong stm32cubewl software there was predefined RF SW CTRL pins and other board resources)How can i define RF SW CTRL in SUBGHZ_PHY Platform settings in new template without depending on SUBGHZ_Phy_PingPong ioc template file?
Hi,I’m trying to implement OTA using the example software and hardware below. But it seems very unreliable.STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.7.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLEBLE_OtaBLE_p2pServer_otaCompiled with IAR for ARM 8.50STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.4.0STM32CubeMonitor-RF Version 2.5.0STM32WB55 Nucleo PackNucleo board PNWB55$CU3USB DongleI programmed BLE_Ota.out and BLE_p2pServer_ota.out into the P-NUCLEO-WB55 using the STM32CubeProgrammer and verified the green LED is flashing indicating RF messages.I then used the STM32CubeMonitor-RF with the USB dongle and Nucleo board about 5 cm apart. And then I tried to perform an OTA update. I found mostly it worked, but sometimes it failed. When it failed, the flash memory at 0x08007000 was all FFs (which is where the new application should be located). I added a break point to BLE_Ota and verified this was due to an invalid magic number (0x94448A29).When you create a build the address of the last word in your image is stored a
I am trying to set up a bootloader where I can transition CPU2 to FUS, then back to the wireless stack. I followed the examples of sending 2 FUS_GET_STATE commands to enter FUS. Then I send the FUS_START_WS with the SHCI_C2_FUS_StartWs call. Nothing happens. No reset (like the docs say) and the next time I call SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState I get a FUS_STATE_ERROR_AUTH_TAG_ST_NOTFOUND response. I can start the stack using the Cube programmer, so I know the image is good. How do I do this from code? I am using v1.12.1 of stack and v1.2 of FUS.thanks.
Hello! We are developing the BLE application on STM32WB55 along with the mobile app companion. The microcontroller is in a Peripheral role, mobile app - in Central. After BLE connection is established, MCU firmware sends a security request and master initiates the pairing procedure. We chose Passkey entry pairing method and after the first successful pairing, the mobile device is added to bonded devices, so that we can skip entering pin code for the next connections. In most cases, everything works flawlessly, however, we faced a problem with bonded devices information loss after MCU firmware update. It repeats every time we update the core2 firmware and sometimes after updating core1 firmware. Could you specify where exactly the bonded devices information is stored? The AN5289 mentions that "When devices are bonded, the keys are stored in the non-volatile memory area." How can we avoid erasing this FLASH area while updating firmware on both cores?
Is it possible to run a custom radio stack on M4 core of STM32WB processor without using M0 core ? If yes, where can I find the manual to read about accessing radio peripherals from CPU1
Hello geeks..Hope all are doing well I'm using multi channel ADC with STM32WB having DMA activated My issue is, every time when i perform the power ON reset, at the same time the channel sequence getting change! It means, the conversion buffer in HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback function sequence is getting changeI have verified the same thing manually by connecting the 3.3V & GND at the particular channelsFor example, when i connect the 3.3v at PC4 then the allocated buffer variable shows 4096 samples. However when i do the power on reset then some different buffer shows the value 4096I have activated the 6 channels here with DMA I have shared ADC initialization code snippet here Can any one help me here ?All suggestions & comments welcome Thanks /** * @brief ADC1 Initialization Function * @param None * @retval None */ int32_t BSP_ADC1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = { 0 }
hey there! I'm planning to design my own PCB based on the STM32WL55 (900MHz range) and I have the NUCLEO reference design to look at, but find that here's a lot of RF paths in there, and I just want to know if there's any discussion anywhere on how much of all this is actually needed. ideally I would like to get rid of those RF switches and multiple paths, but I'd like to understand a bit more about what would happen if I did. And I'd also like to do that as fast as possible with as few PCB iterations as possible. :)1) does the Rx path really need to be isolated from the TX paths with an RF switch rather than just linked up? (with impedance matching of course!) if so, what are we achieving with the switch?2) What would the penalty be (assuming LoRaWAN!) if I was to just go with one PA output? I'm guessing that depending on what one I picked, either I'm transmit power limited or I'm limited in how much I can reduce battery draw during good quality link conditions... but I also need to u
Hello,I have two NUCLEO_WL55JC2 boards. I am starting with SubGhz_Phy_Per example. One of board is Tx and other is Rx as mentioned readme.txt in project files.Rx board's red led is blinking that means the board does not receive any signal. My jumpers are at initial settings. I suspected power and I tried with external 5v. It did not work. I was waiting ready to use demo.Do you have any suggestions? Should I do any change in configuration files?
Hello, I am currently working on two projects and the firmware is tested and verified on two mcus ( STM32L476RG and STM32WB55CG). I would like to consider different MCUs where the code can run without changing the code. I know if I consider the ICs from the same family I could do this if there are no changes in the flash interpretations. Could you please suggest some ICs and if I am considering ICs from other families what all changes need to be done to the code. Do I have to change the libraries? Is it a time-consuming process? What is the easiest approach to convert the code? I am using Keil IDE for coding.
