Hello, I am currently using the nucleo board installed with stm32wb55rg and I successfully opened my custom notification char based on P2P server example.However, it seems I can send data in bytes (in hex) to mobile phone but I am lost for converting the data into string or float form.Please recommend me any solution or way to develop.Thank you for reading.
I have STM32WB55RG-Nucleo board and STM32WB55CG Dongle. Current i am working on BLE_MeshLightingProvisioner project. this project doesn't have .ioc file to select the different microcontroller and i want run same BLE_MeshLightingProvisioner project in dongle. Please help me out to select different micro-controller or share the documents for selection of different microcontroller in currant project. Best RegardsDeepak
I'm writing firmware for a custom board using the STM32WB15CCU6E and am having trouble getting the BLE functionality to work properly. I have created a minimal project that gets BLE running, and have not changed anything in the STM32_WPAN section, so it's just running the default "Custom P2P Server".The device advertises and is picked up by Windows and Android, but connection attempts always fail. During a connection attempt, HCI_LE_CONNECTION_COMPLETE_SUBEVT_CODE is received (in app_ble.c) with a Status of 0, and HCI_DISCONNECTION_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE is then received immediately after with a Reason of 0x3E (connection failed to be established).Sniffing the packets shows that the master sends CONNECT_IND and then makes repeated requests with LL_FEATURE_REQ, but the slave never sends anything back. The slave then goes back to advertising a few seconds later.I've been working on this issue for multiple days now and am out of ideas, so would really appreciate some help solving it.

Hello, I have issues when I tried to use my nucleo 32WL with Sigfox (working well with LoraWAN). I followed the steps proposed in the AN5480 : working well for that : However, in practice when I try to obtain my ID and my PCA throught AT command, the values are wrong ! (don't match with the one in the header file)The sigfox activation works only with the one in the header file (and not with the ID and PAC obtained thanks to AT commands)Thus, it seems that there is a problem in the sigfox credentiel provisioning but Cubeprogrammer said that it is a success...Best regardsLouis
Like you can see here: The LED is On so I have in aRxBuffer 13 10... (I see these values with an oscillo also..) but we can see it in the memory window...The memory window is broken ?Thank you
I tested BLE example with NUCLEO-WB55 board. It worked well.Now we are going to run the BLE example on the custom board.I made a board with STM32WB55CE MCU.Although the custom board application was uploaded as shown in the example NUCLEO-WB55, an error occurs in the code shown below.app_ble.c /** * Starts the BLE Stack on CPU2 */ if (SHCI_C2_BLE_Init( &ble_init_cmd_packet ) != SHCI_Success) { Error_Handler(); }I thought the BLE stack went up wrong, so I uploaded the BLE stack, but it doesn't work the same way.Where should I look?
My configuration is shown below: gpioinitstruct.Pin = SD_CS_PIN; gpioinitstruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; gpioinitstruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; gpioinitstruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(SD_CS_GPIO_PORT, &gpioinitstruct);
Hello ST,Once the provisioning process over associate node will Save provisioning data in SubPage[%.8x]\r\n", PRVN_NVM_SUBPAGE_OFFSET(subPageIdx)); using AppliPrvnNvm_Process(); function. Is there any possibility we can we read this memory?I didn't get any function to know the availability of Low power active node in existing network?BLEMesh_NeighborRefreshedCallback(); function works only for unprovision node..Please enlighten me on this issue..Best RegardsDeepak Aagri
Hello ST,I am using BLE_MeshLightingProvisioner Project, PB 12 and PB 14 used for external interrupt purpose. Please find the following modification =============main.c================static void MX_GPIO_Init(void){ GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ // __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); // __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pins : Key_Pin Door_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = Key_Pin|Door_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING_FALLING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP;//GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); /* EXTI interrupt init*/ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(EXTI15_10_IRQn, 0x0F, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn);}=================================================================stm32wbxx_it.c===========================void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI9_5_IRQn 0 */ /* USER COD
The documentation for the IHM15A1 dual DC brushed motor driver board (p.2) says it is only compatible with the following Nucleo boards: NUCLEO-F401RE, NUCLEO-F334R8 or NUCLEO-F030R8. I have a Nucelo-WB55RG. Can I use the IHM15A1 with it? Does the documentation UM2393 need to be updated, or is there some reason the Nucelo-WB55RG isn't compatible with the IHM15A1 expansion board? It seems that ST Motor control workbench software tool doesn't include support for the NUCLEO-WB55RG or the IHM15A1 - so I suppose I can not use it for profiling my motor? What is the best approach for using and configuring the IHM15A1 expansion board with the NUCLEO-WB55RG? Thanks! Dan.
Hello,I'm currently working with a STM32WB55 and I am here because I would like to set up the advertising data with the following ad types :AD_TYPE_SHORTENED_LOCAL_NAMEAD_TYPE_128_BIT_SERV_UUID_CMPLT_LISTBut it seems that I have not enough space. According to the doc, when we call the aci_gap_set_discoverable() function, 6 extra bytes are automatically added by the stack to the frame (ad flags, and TX_POWER).My question : Is there a way to remove the TX_POWER field inside the advertising frame ?I tried to use the aci_gap_delete_ad_type() function, but I got the following returned error : 0x1F (probably "AD_TYPE not found")Thank you in advance for your support
I am currently using the Seed E5 chip with LoRaWAN. I need to get data from a uart system through the uart2 (Pins PA2 and PA3). If I add in an APP_LOG displaying the data recieved from UART2 in the main while loop, then the uart2 works fine, but if I remove it the uart2 never runs. When I step through the program with the debugger, I find that it always fails at the huart reception type line. if (huart->ReceptionType == HAL_UART_RECEPTION_TOIDLE) { __HAL_UART_CLEAR_FLAG(huart, UART_CLEAR_IDLEF); ATOMIC_SET_BIT(huart->Instance->CR1, USART_CR1_IDLEIE); }My code for the UART2 is almost line for line from the uart example made by STM (found here https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWL/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Examples/UART/UART_ReceptionToIdle_CircularDMA)The only notable difference is that I am also using UART1 and I am running LoRaWAN along side the UART stuff.I am pretty new to UART and to the STM32WL and would appreciate any help on this issue.
I have created a BLE application using STM32WB5RG BLE stack. Everything works good, I am able to advertise, authenticate & connect to the device. However, my application needs to run with low power. When I put CPU1 & CPU2 in STOP2 mode, I am noticing that my BLE connection gets lost(disconnects from client). I have two questions regarding this:What exactly causes the BLE connection to cut off given that the RF subsystem runs independent of CPU1 & CPU2 ? Can I keep the BLE connection active while being in STOP2 (any one of the CPU or both) mode by setting some register configurations?To avoid ceasing of BLE activities, can the CPU1 (via interrupt) wake up CPU2 which is in STOP2 mode?Can I keep at least one of the CPUs in LPM and have the BLE alive?I could not find specific information from the product documents, more details on this would be appreciated. @Christophe Arnal @STM32WB Bluetooth Mesh Workshop & MOOCs @Bluetooth® LE Application Development’
Hello people,I am working on a Project with the stm32wb55 which includes Low Power Modes (Standby) and Bluetooth (BLE).When i turn off the Bluetooth part the controller can simply enter and exit Standbymode by my choice.However if i activate BLE on a Button, work with it and want to enter Standbymode again the controller wont wake up anymore.As i have heard the problem could be something with the cpu2 for example the RF.Is there a way to shut down the cpu2 completely so i can enter the Standbymode like in the first example ?
Hello , I am fairly new to microcontroller programming and sorry if this is a noob question. I have a STM32WB55RG board and I want to learn developing a BLE application. I did an example from STM Workshop (Hands On) and it worked very well. Then i tried configuring CubeMX myself, change the code a bit and still got a good result.But today, suddenly the BLE stop functioning. I cannot detect the device using any BLE scanner application. At first i thought maybe it got into some error handler eg. HardFault or MemManage. But it dindnt. I tried debugging using LED and I found out that the code didnt even land on the APP_BLE_Init() function. So I thought maybe I should re-flash the BLE stack binary. Followed the instructions and using CubeProgrammer CLI, but the device cant be found. Then I tried using CubeProgrammer UI, cant connect to device. I tried with no jumper on BOOT0 and VDD, also connected via ST-Link USB, successfully downloaded the BLE Stack binary on address 0x080CB000. But stil
Hello!I'm trying to use the base OTA firmware updater within the STM32WB github package.For some reason, when I try to use the notify characteristic in my app after an OTA update, the notifications aren't being sent out.Is there something that needs to be reset after an OTA update within the BLE stack to re-enable the notify characteristic?Thanks!
Hi,I am using STM32WB55 USB dongle board as a client and another STM32WB55 USB dongle board as server. I want to send data from server to client using notify characteristic. How to enable notification in the client to receive the data ?
I am trying to use X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1 as a BLE Central Device. My BLE peripheral is based on STM32WB15CC (Which is working fine). On the central code, I am using the central example from CubeIDE. I can scan and see my peripheral. I managed to connect to it. However, as soon as it connects, it disconnects giving me "GATT Procedure completed with error 0x41 0x0806". Here, 0x41 = error code (referring to Failed). And 0x0806 is the connection handle. I tried to modify the example by adding a primary service discovery inside the connection complete event callback. It fails to discover service. The debug message I get is "aci_gatt_disc_all_primary_services() failed: 0x46". No idea what 0x46 refers to. FYI, the connection code (in the central) is: aci_gap_create_connection(SCAN_P, SCAN_L, saved_devices.dev_info[dev_index].addr_type, &nbs
