Hello everyone,Currently, I am working with the example LoRaWAN_End_Node on Nucleo-WL55JC1. I am trying to achieve downlink control. Downlink messages are sent from Chirpstack NS.Right now, I don't know where the function of receiving and processing downlink packets is, in the LoRaWAN_End_Node. I suspect that it is the function OnRxData in lora_app.c but when I tested, it was not what I wanted. Can anyone help me on finding where that function is and how to implement new code?P/s: My next goal is to send a hex (01) from Chirpstack NS to the board so that an LED is turned on.Thank you in advanced, Huy Nguyen.
Hi everyone,I have NUCLEO-WB15CC board. This board has STM32WB15CCx MCU.I have also a custom board. This board has STM32WB15CCxE MCU.The differences of both MCU are, STM32WB15CCx has SMPS pins and functionality, but few GPIOs; STM32WB15CCxE has no SMPS pins and no functionality, but more GPIOs. I decide to use STM32WB15CCxE, because I need more GPIOs and don't need power consumption optimization that SMPS provides.I want to create a BLE device with custom template.I use v1.14.1 stm32wb1x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin as Bluetooth firmware.I use v1.10.1 STM32CubeIDE.I disabled SMPS function for NUCLEO board. I have the same PCB antenna for both. I write same code for both. Only change MCU selection while creating new project. I compare both code and they are the same. I use WinMerge program to compare one-to-one.My problem is, my android phone(Samsung M12) can discover NUCLEO board, but cannot discover custom board. Also there are other android phones that cannot discover it.In another way, my
Hello,I am using the STM32WB55 nucleo development kit to communicate over QSPI with an external memory device. I presently have the QSPI interface configured for DMA operation, and I am able to use the external device successfully. However, when transmitting data during the data phase of commands, I have captured a pause between bytes being transmitted, as shown below.Note that on the left of the capture, the clock is toggling regularly while the address is sent. However, the clock then stops toggling, and only pulses to send a byte every ~240 ns.The STM32 is clocked at 32 MHz, and has no prescalar, so the QSPI clock should also be at 32 MHz. This pause is not present during the command phase or address phase, and is not observed when receiving data, only when transmitting data.Is this a known limitation of the QSPI peripheral? The external peripheral is used for bulk data logging, and speed is very important for my application. It looks like a data transfer speed up of ~3x is being los
Hi, I try to implement an USB CCID device on an STM32WB55 MCU and the stm32_mw_usb_device release V2.11. I do not find any documentation about how to use this implementation... Today, I created an USB peripheral that is recognised by Windows as CCID device but I do not know what I need to write in the "CCID_Send_Process" function (for example...) from the "usbd_ccid_if_template.c" file. uint8_t CCID_Send_Process(uint8_t *Command, uint8_t *Data) { Command_State_t Command_State = Command_NOT_OK; /* Initialize ICC APP header */ uint8_t SC_Command[5] = {0}; UNUSED(Data); UNUSED(Command_State); UNUSED(SC_Command); /* Start SC Demo ---------------------------------------------------------*/ switch (Command[1]) /* type of instruction */ { case SC_ENABLE: /* Add your code here */ break; case SC_VERIFY: /* Add your code here */ break; case SC_READ_BINARY : /* Add your code here */ break; case SC_CHANGE : /* Add your code here */ break; &
I am working on the NUCLEO-WB55RG eval board and I try to run the BLE_TransparentMode project provided as example. But when I run the code (without any modification), it doesn't work. The debugging shows that it failed suddenly at MX_APPE_Init main function.I have successfully flashed the firmware stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin at address 0x080C7000.Other examples works fine (I've tested BLE_Zigbee_Dyn and Zigbee_APS_Router projects)I use STM32CubeIDE with STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.14.1 library.
Hello STM32-Team,do i have to use the MLPF-WB55-02E3 or MLPF-WB55-01E3 matching network for UFBGA129. In the Appnote AN5165 (Table 6) the matching network MLPF-WB55-01E3 matching network is recommended, but in the Datasheet of the MLPF-WB55-01E3 its only for the STM32WB55Cx/Rx. In the MLPF-WB55-02E3 datasheet its for the STM32WB55Vx and the UFBGA129 would be the STM32WB55Vx.So im a bit confused whats the right choice for the UFBGA129.Thanks an Greetings,Matthias
I want to enable the RTOS Proxy in the debug launch configuration for my STM32CubeIDE project. However, in the "Driver settings" fieldset, I need to select a "Port" from a dropdown. The options in that dropdown confuse me. I have an STM32WB55, which to my knowledge is considered an MCU, not MPU, and it consists of an ARM Cortex M0 + ARM Cortex M4. My application is running on the M4, since M0 is dedicated to BLE.The 3 dropdown options for M0/M4 are 1) "ARM_CM0", 2) "ARM_CM4F" and 3) "ARM_CM4_MPU" - but my code runs on M4, so 1) is probably not right, I don't use the STM32F-Series, so 2) is probably not right, and the WB55 is not an MPU, so 3) is probably not right either. I am certain that my naive interpretation of those cryptic port abbreviations is wrong for at least one of the options. So - what is the right selection to make?
Hello, We're using STM32WB55RGV6 and trying to communicate with a smart card. At the beginning of communication, we can read ATR and we can send and receive PPS successfully. But when we try to send an APDU message our data signal doesn't fit our calculated baud rate. And we're getting framing error on the logic analyzer, as you can see on the picture. Our calculated baud rate is 212500. Has anyone worked with smart card interfaces?
Hi,I'm currently working to start the FUOTA on a STM32WB, so I've spent several time following the Application Note AN5247 and watching the MOOC - STM32WB Firmware Update Over the Air (FUOTA) videos that explain how to run the OTA on a P-NUCLEO-WB55 board. Following the steps, I've managed to get everything working without problem.I want to launch the OTA on a STM32WB5MMG Discovery board, so the main issue I have is that doesn't seems to be too many information on how to do this outside of the examples. The Application Note is a really guided example for the NUCLEO board, same goes for the videos. Even after having followed it, I'm still not sure what I should do in my project if I want to be able to do the same thing in a different MCU with a custom application. The examples that I find in CubeIDE are not configurable, and doesn't include an .ioc file that allows me to see what changes have been made here so the OTA works on the MCU. Finally, I haven't been able to find information abo
I use a GNSS connected to LPUART and a LoRaWAN module connected to USART1.I use the two UARTs via the RXNE interrupt. If I initialise and enable the two UART interrupts, USART1 no longer interrupts me and I do not receive any data. The problem is only in reception, as the transmission via USART1 is done correctly. The LPUART, on the other hand, continues to interrupt and I receive data constantly.I have tried to disable the LPUART and its RXNE interrupt to see if it interrupts the USART1 but I can't get anything.
Situatiion:BLE Mesh Provisioner Example for stm32wb55 nucleoconfiguration in mesh_cfg_usr.h:#define ENABLE_PB_ADV // #define ENABLE_PB_GATT // #define ENABLE_PUB_KEY_TYPE_OOB // #define ENABLE_AUTH_TYPE_NO_OOB #define ENABLE_AUTH_TYPE_STATIC_OOB // #define ENABLE_AUTH_TYPE_OUTPUT_OOB // #define ENABLE_AUTH_TYPE_INPUT_OOBone unprovisioned Node that should not connect and be able to join the network does not have static OOB enabled but ENABLE_AUTH_TYPE_NO_OOB.The Provisioining process succeeds without authentification, it chooses no oob authentification although it is not enabled in the provisioner application. The same problem was found on an esp32 -> https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/5281is this wanted, can i disable this no oob authenfication to provision obly me devices?
Using:BLEMesh_SetRemotePublication(GENERIC_ONOFF_SERVER_MODEL_ID, srcAddress , GENERIC_ON_OFF_SET_UNACK, generic_Buff, 38, MOBLE_FALSE, MOBLE_FALSE);I send a buffer with a size of 38, on the receiving end however GenericModelServer_ProcessMessageCb only receives a buffer with the first data point, the other 37 data points nowhere to be seen. Most of the code im using comes from the MeshLightningPRFNode example, how could i best go about solving the issue?
I have loaded BLE OTA example (v1.13.1) to my STM32WB50CG. User application starts on default set address 0x08007000. Problem is when I send a BLE command to OTA Reboot characteristic (to load into OTA, first sector + how many to delete) from my Android app to the STM the flash never deletes. I've been debuging the OTA STM example code but everything returns status OK except flash doesn't actually erase. After this command is sent, I disconnect the phone from the STM board. If I manually delete flash via STMCube Programmer, BLE OTA example then completely works as intended.Any idea what could be the cause?
According to BLUETOOTH CORE SPECIFICATION Version 5.3 | Vol 6, Part F, there are two methods of supporting DTM: DTM over HCI and DTM trough 2-wire UART. I know that WB55 supports DTM over HCI for sure, but what about DTM over 2-wire UART? It's also supported by this microcontrollers?
Hi everyone, I am a student and I used arduino for now. I have stm32f4 disocvery board, stm32f103c8t6 and stm32f401ceu6. I have lora module E32-44t30D module which is working with UART. I was using these with arduino and there is a lot of library for it. I searched from the internet but I couldn't find stm32 library for E32-44T30D ( It uses sx1278 UART). I want to learn stm32 microcontrollers with C so I want to a project with these components. I want to make single channel gateway with ESP32 and this lora module (I will do this with arduino). On end node side, I want to use 3 stm32 with E32-44t30D but I couldn't find any library. Is there a library for it ? ( If so can I comunicate Esp32(arduino code) and Stm32 modules (C code) )I found one example, he doesn't use library, He only uses these;HAL_UART_Transmit()and HAL_UART_Receive()He used 2 stm32 with Ebyte 433MHz. He made point to point comunication. Can I do this with (esp32 ardunio code as gateway) and (3 stm32 module as end node )
Hello everyone,Situation: Currently, I am trying to intergrate BME688 to the board Nucleo-WL55JC1. To be specific, on the board, I downloaded and ran the LoRaWAN_End_Node example. Then, instead of obtaining temperature/humidity/pressure from a function from the example (I assumed the original data obtaining function is EnvSensors_Read(&sensor_data) in lora_app.c), I want to use the sensor BME688 to give me those measurement. What I did: I initialized the BME688 sensor as well as set up some constrains for it after the MX_LoRaWAN_Init(). Then I set the BME688 data obtaining process as a function and register it as a task. The task has an equal priority as the SendTxData() function. Result: the program stopped right at the first measurement.Question: Was my procedure of intergrating BME688 into LoRaWAN_End_Node example correct or I missed something else? I assume the fault was when I set the BME688 data obtaining process with an equal priority as SendTxData()?If I was wrong at that
I'm currently working with the "Thread_Coap_Generic" example for the STM32WB, which I got from MXCube. I want to connect to a pre-existing thread network. I have changed the panid and channel of the example to that of my network (in the "app_thread.c" file). The example code won't connect to my network. Do you have any advice?
https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-wl55jc.html indicates that it has "Arm® Cortex®-M4/M0+". I am confused about this: does it use an M4 or an M0+?Also, what is the difference between the WL55JC1 and WL55JC2 versions of the Nucleos? Please disregard the first question as the answer seems to be that the WL has dual cores so it has both an M4 and an M0+.
I am also trying to debug my pcb through bootloader usb but my my win11 computer says usb device not regonsized.
Hello,I'm using STM32WB55 in conjunction with freeRTOS OSI found a very good I2C BARE-METAL working example located at:..\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.1\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Examples\I2C\I2C_TwoBoards_AdvComITI'm looking for a similar I2C Example, however based on and using freeRTOS implementationThanks In Advance,Micha
Hello, I many years used ST-Link to download my framework to STM32, so I am not new in this. But now - I used all available settings in - ST-LINK software (under reset, hot, normal, with different frequency). I pushed reset in the boards, I connected boom0 to 3.3V to GRN. I used many jumpers in the Nucleo board. How it is happened!Initially this boards worked. I created simple code - for turn on LED. After that I decided to test the wireless connection and uploaded the .hex file from here - P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE\BLE_HeartRate\Binary it was not successful attempt, BUT after that I could not establish connection with boards, please the images. How I can fix it?

Hi,I created Lora project which send and receive data. I designed my board, no TCXO.My schematic:My result:the random value is 0, TxTimeout everytime.I replaced to new MCU, new RF switch IC but result not change. Please support me.Thanks.
Hi,I created my project which send or receive data through LoRa. This is my result:This is my configuration:Can I fix in my firmware ? Please support me.Thanks.
