Steps I am following:Scan for the server and get the MAC of the serverWhen the button is pressed call aci_gap_create_connection to start the connectionThen write the attribute and disconnect from the server.Hear the problem I am facing is it takes 3sec to establish a connection and then write an attribute all this process is taking upto 4sec.I want to reduce connection time to 500ms at least. Since I will be knowing server details already, with this can I reduce this time?I am trying but I am unable to achieve this. Can someone help me with this?Thank you.
Hello everyone, I am trying to secure data exchange between my STM32WB55 and an external android app ( with BLE) using the Chachapoly algorithm encryption and decryption example found here: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-cryptolib.html, and for this as I understand there must be a shared secret key that both me and the app use in our Chachapoly algorithm. I added the ECDH_SharedSecretGeneration code example from the same source which uses the private_key and the external public_key to generate the shared secret key which should be identical for both me and the app. my question is, is there an example that can help me generate my own public_key from my private_key so that I can send it to the app for it to also generate the shared secret key or is there another way ? because I couldn't find an ECDH example to generate my own public key.thanks.
I developed a prototype using a UART to Bluetooth dongle, the HC-05. This worked like a charm. I could pair my smartphone to it and continuously send data between the MCU Board and my smartphone. Now I want to optimize size and cost, therefore I choose the WB15 to do the same task. However, I'm struggling really hard, as I'm not sure which protocol GATT, GAP, L2CC, etc. I have to choose. For example, I could manage to advertise, however when I want to pair my smartphone tells me I need a particular app to pair the WB15. Hence, the WB is only recognized as BLE Sensor and not as a bidirectional server/client.In short, I need something like the transparent mode, but the data transfer must be between the two cores and not over the UART. I'm struggling so much with the WB that I'm thinking to change to an ESP32 or rolling back to a System on a Chip like the BlueNRG which manages all the data transfer.
Hi,I am using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 discovery kit. I want to implement USB-CDC functionality for my project. I created the project using STM32CubeMX with the settings of USB-CDC after following this STM USB training link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9T0RTu9Muc&list=PLnMKNibPkDnFFRBVD206EfnnHhQZI4Hxa&index=9After that i connected one USB to CN7 connector and run the code in debugging mode. Then i connected another USB to CN11 connector which is USER USB. As per the video, USB connected to CN7 should show one COM port with name "STMicroelectronics STLink VCP"USB connected to CN11 should show another COM port with name "STMicroelectronics VCP".But after connecting i am not detecting 2nd com port on my PC side in short no virtual port is showing after connecting to USER USB connector. Please guide me regarding this with any example related to the same controller or any hardware settings need to be done for its working. Thanks Shubham
As the title says, I want to create a wireless mouse and was wondering if it was possible to make a low latency mouse using two STM32WBs (one for the mouse and one for the computer). Is this possible with this MCU series or is it better to use a dedicated MCU and separate transceiver chip?
Our application connects ADS1299 with STM32WB5MMG through SPI and sends at least 250sps for data through Bluetooth. But we got a lot of examples using STM applications, but we couldn't get clear and straightforward code/examples for sending and receiving the data. Please share any examples, codes, or tutorials for our conditions.

In the User Manual UM2435 for Nucleo STM32 provided the next schematic But in PCB we see the next I think that the next schematic is actual, is it correct?
Between Board 1 and Board 2 data exchange should be done through LoRa and data exchange between Board 1 and PC should be through USB. It would be very helpful if someone help with this.
I'm using LoRa E5 mini board that has STM32WLE5 MCU on it.I use STM32CubeProgrammer and the STlink of a Nucleo64 board to send the firmware to it.For some boards, I cannot succeed to flash them and get this error : When I try to use STM32CubeIDE I've got this error : I already checked that OB RDP is AA.By following the article of ST (https://community.st.com/s/article/Custom-external-loader-failed-to-download-segment-0) I try to use the 2.6 version of STM32CubeProgrammer but without any success...When I increase verbose level on STM32CubeProgrammer I've got those logs : 14:25:34:818 : Memory Programming ... 14:25:34:818 : Opening and parsing file: Seeed-LoRa-E5_VT7-71.bin 14:25:34:818 : File : Seeed-LoRa-E5_VT7-71.bin 14:25:34:818 : Size : 89324 Bytes 14:25:34:818 : Address : 0x08000000 14:25:34:818 : Erasing Segment <0> Addr
Have an application for STM32WB55 which is likely to be occasionally exposed to 125C (max) ambient, but with very low power consumption. What is the behavior at the allowed limit? Do leakage currents increase dramatically (leading to thermal runaway). Is latch-up more likely (not recoverable by watchdog)? Datasheet only provides behavior up to 105C.
I have a board Nucleo WB55 and I'm configuring PWM on channel 1 of TIM2.I know is possible configure PWM Mode 1 also on channels configured as Output Compare, but CubeIDE not allow set this configuration, I think is an issue.I changed the init code with TIM_OC_MODE_PWM1 and works.

I find that STMCUBE is missing the middleware PDMtoPCM lib for STM32WB55, see attached. How do I get the PDNtoPCM lib and install it in CUBE ?Thanks Brian
Hello.I'm trying to run this LoRaWAN FUOTA code: github.com/ SylvainMontagny/STM32WL/tree/main/STM32WL_FUOTA (that's the Single-core project on the Application Note AN5554), but i get the following error:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.9.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.0.202111181127\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: cannot use executable file as input to a link 'C:/Users/USER/Downloads/STM32WL-main/STM32WL_FUOTA/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Applications/LoRaWAN_FUOTA/1_Image_BFU/STM32CubeIDE/Debug/se_interface_app.o' as input to a linkI've linked the "se_interface_app.o" file in Properties > C/C++ build > Tool Settings > MCU GCC Linker > Miscellaneous > Additional Object Files, but it didn't help. How can i solve it? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
I am a hobbyist that only has basic oscilloscope and function generator that is (according to AN5042) not accurate enough to tune the HSE crystal. Is the HSE crystal in the NUCLEO-WB55RG pre-tuned?
I have tried running the BLE_HeartRate application as generated by STM32CubeIDE v1.11.0 which used WB FV 1.15.0. I am running on a custom board (DK board is not available right now) that has a STM32WB5MMG module, the recommended capacitors, and a header for connecting an STLINK-V3MINI, and nothing else. By default CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED was set to 0, CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED and CFG_DEBUG_APP_TRACE were set to 1, This setup draws about 13mA.When I change CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED to 1, CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED and CFG_DEBUG_APP_TRACE to 0, I see a current draw of 8.7mA. This is far more than I would expect. In contrast, using the same tools I generated and ran the same application on a Nucleo-WB15CC board and I see a current draw around 400uA in low power mode.I understand that the BLE_HeartRate application is the recommended low-power demonstration. Is anyone running it on a STM32WB5MM-DK board? Are you seeing similar results? Can anyone suggest how to reduce the power consumption on this setup?
If I write to address 0, it prevents from entering shutdown mode. The vector table is relocated to code.As far as I understand, writing to address 0 in this case is not illegal. For sure it does not generates a fault. The following code enters shutdown mode successfully:#include "stm32wlxx_hal.h" int main(void) { HAL_Init(); HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_HIGH); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF1); HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode(); while (1) { } }The following code fails entering shutdown mode:#include "stm32wlxx_hal.h" int main(void) { HAL_Init(); HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_HIGH); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF1); *(int *)0 = 0x20008000; // End of SRAM HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode(); while (1) { } }I believe the second snippet should enter shutdown mode, or I missed something.Regards
Hi, I would like to try nucleo-WL55 in LoRa Node with Quatz and see temperature influence in RF signal. So I have unsolder R2, and solder R39/R40. But now LoRaWAN_AT_Slave does not work anymore, even if I change TCXO to Quartz in .ioc file. I can see AT menu, but ATTONE does not work anymore. What change did we do to be able to use Quartz insted of TCXO? In LoRaWAN_AT_Slave MSI RC is configure. Why when I try to use HSE PRES /4 X12 /2 (48Mhz) I can't be able to see UART ? (AT menu)
Hi everybody!Working on Martian Robot développed by VittaScience, I need to read values coming from 5 blackline sensors to the ADC of the wb55.I tried to analogRead() the pin but nothing...Some ideas? Thanks!
I am currently trying to read the value from a characteristic after detecting that the user has written to it. I am calling aci_gatt_read_char_value() which is returning 0 (BLE success). From here I am expecting an event which triggers the aci_att_read_resp_event() function but I am not seeing that get called. However, I am seeing that the Custom_STM_Event_Handler(void *Event) gets called directly after I call this function and the event code is: I'm not sure what the issue here exactly. Should I be setting a flag and then calling the read function elsewhere? Or is there some other issue with my setup? Thanks very muchMaks
Voice is heard through the codec chip, but the noise is severe. There is no noise when you listen to the voice from the PC through the USB output.I don't know if the SAI setting on the Central is wrong or the codec chip setting is wrong. If you playback the wave file on the codec chip, there is no noise.void Playback_Init(void){ /* Configure and enable PLLSAI1 clock to generate 11.294MHz */ RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct; RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_SAI1; RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct.PLLSAI1.PLLN = 24; RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct.PLLSAI1.PLLP = 17; RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct.Sai1ClockSelection = RCC_SAI1CLKSOURCE_PLLSAI1; if(HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&RCC_PeriphCLKInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* Initialize SAI */ __HAL_SAI_RESET_HANDLE_STATE(&SaiHandle); SaiHandle.Instance = AUDIO_SA
It looks as if the RNG is made unavailable to the M4 when the M0 has booted the BLE stack. This looks to be true because I can initialize and use the RNG before starting the BLE stack. Once I launch C2, the RNG registers read as zeros. Is this a requirement of the BLE stack? We don't use any of the security features in BLE and it would be much more useful to have access to the RNG from the M4 instead of using the HCI interface. Is there a way to we can retain control of the RNG from the M4?
