Posted on February 18, 2015 at 12:59Hi GuysI' trying to get an image with DCMI module. So, I set up the camera sensor for a square test pattern (a grid of 16 white pixels and 16 black pixels). I get the data with the DMA and the grid obteined was 2x16pixels (2 horizontal and 16 vertical). I'm lossing pixels... I verify the output of the camera and this send 16x16. I don't know where is the problem. 36MHz pixelclock, the datasheet says 54MHz maximum. Could someone help me to resolve my problem?. I'm using a STM32F429IG to 1.8V. I'm using the internal cristal. HCLCK = 168MHz.Here is my configuration code. The main code is just an infinite loop.void OVxxxx_HW_Init(void){ DCMI_InitTypeDef DCMI_InitStructure; GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; DMA_InitTypeDef DMA_InitStructure; DCMI_CROPInitTypeDef DCMI_CROPInitStructure; NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStructure; /*** Configures the DCMI GPIOs to interface with the OVxxxx camera module ***/ /* Enable DCMI GPIOs c
Posted on February 22, 2015 at 06:43I am using 2 ADC's ,1. for Touch Panel (ADC1)2. another for getting input from potentiometer (ADC3)Earlier Touch Panel program was working fine, when I implemented by initializing ADC3, there is a conflict, so the Touch Panel is not working. Is it possible to initialize separately? How to enable multi ADC ? #stm32f407zg #stm-touch #adc
Posted on February 10, 2015 at 22:09HiI have the Problem: I have ported and tested a uCOSII on stm32f4/discovery(STM32f407VG) evaluation board with out any problem(board Programmed with onBoard STLINK).after that i have tried to program a custom board with STM32f407ZG with Jlink.i have no problem with simple programs but the program that worked on the evaluation Board, when get to the ''enable interrupt processor level'' at the uCOSII resources jump to the 0 address of Memory and THis Warning appeare: warning t-bit of xpsr is 0 but should be 1. changed to 1The same event occurs when I port UCOSIII. can anybody please help me what is the problem? I cant Figure out!!thank you #stemwin #ucos-iii
Posted on July 29, 2013 at 13:43Hi, I have Downloaded STemWin from the STM Website and i have tried to build a simple ''Hello World'' Application on my STM32F207 with KEIL 4.72a, but my Application goes into an infinite Loop in GUI_INIT(). I have found a hint onn the Segger Website, that GUI_Init() tries to acces the provided memory area with 8, 16 and 32 Bit accesses. This memory Area will be assigned by a call to GUI_X_Config() (provided by my code), but GUI_X_Config will never be called by GUI_Init(). I used the Library files STemWin520d_CM3_Keil.lib (without OS) and STemWin520d_CM3_OS_Keil.lib (with OS support). What can i do to find the problem? Thanks Martin #stemwin
Posted on January 13, 2015 at 20:32I can't seem to find more information on this, even looking through the EVAL code...here it goes: I am designing a simple system to learn how to use the STM32F439XX and perhaps use it in future projects, but I am not sure if it is fast enough since the AHB can only support concurrent accesses to 1 external memory.I am hoping to attach 128k of memory as a frame buffer at the beginning of this section of memory. I already know there isn't enough time to render and fill (think a simple game like super mario world or something along those lines) the frame. That said, I can attach 256k and double buffer by swapping the location of the buffer between frames, that gives me more than enough time to render each frame. The problem occurs when I realized that I can't concurrently read from external memory for the frame buffer on FMC mapped SRAM/DRAM at the same time as writing to it. Does anyone know if the contention will be a big problem? &nbs
Posted on January 08, 2015 at 15:48I've built a page using the GUI builder which has several buttons. When the app runs, it gets WM_NOTIFICATION_CLICKED messages but no WM_NOTIFICATION_RELEASED messages (via the touch screen.,) A consequence is that the button remains in the 'pressed' state until I press another button. I can also not click the button twice in a row because it never gets the second WM_NOTIFICATION_CLICKED message.This is on a STM32F429I-DISCO board.The gui builder produces the following structure to initialize the screen:[code]static const GUI_WIDGET_CREATE_INFO _aDialogCreate[] = { { WINDOW_CreateIndirect, ''Window'', ID_WINDOW_0, 0, 0, 240, 320, 0, 0x0, 0 }, { BUTTON_CreateIndirect, ''Connect'', ID_BUTTON_0, 30, 14, 80, 20, 0, 0x0, 0 }, { BUTTON_CreateIndirect, ''Disconnect'', ID_BUTTON_1, 130, 15, 80, 20, 0, 0x0, 0 }, { BUTTON_CreateIndirect, ''Send'', ID_BUTTON_2, 30, 45, 80, 20, 0, 0x0, 0 }, { BUTTON_CreateIndirect, ''
Posted on December 10, 2014 at 06:40Hi, I've bought a STM32F4-Discovery board and trying to capture images from the camera. I'm trying to transfer the image to SRAM(112K) instead of LCD-RAM as given in the example code. After the data is read back from the SRAM and the image is seen, it just shows junk. I've checked the pins with a scope to ensure PIXCLK is running. I'm really unsure whether the camera data is being written into SRAM or not. Can anyone help on this... #dcmi-sram-bmp #dcmi-sram-bmp
Posted on November 27, 2014 at 10:55Hi, I want to connect LCD to the ST using VLCD pin , but instead of 3V i need 4.5 V. I found in data sheet that there is stepup converter (kind of SW configurable DC2DC) that can be used for this purpose but i couldn't find any other information - how to handle it by software. 1) is it correct ? 2) if yes, how to configure it. Thanks in advance , Moran. #lcd #stm32l1 #vlcd
Posted on November 26, 2014 at 19:13I am going to use STM32F429 to control the LCD with 800*600 resolution. The datasheet shows STM32F4 has an integrated LCD controller. Anyone can tell me how to use that controller to drive the LCD without adding extra LCD controller? #freq #tft-ltdc-stm32f429-color-format #ltdc #stm32f429
Posted on November 18, 2014 at 23:10Hello,Plz I need any documentation to port a touch driver to STEMWIN Library (My touch driver is ADS7846 and I have its code)I need help pleaseThank in advance #ads7846 #stemwin
Posted on May 14, 2014 at 22:34Working on the STM32F439_EVAL platform.1) I created a UI Screen using the GUIBuilder with just a single button.2) I call the create function in my application and the screen is properly drawn on the LCD3) When I press the button I don't see any calls to the window callback function. I'm a expecting a notification from the Child button element regarding the button push. I'm assuming that when creating the dialog the button callback is already set ( BUTTON_Callback) and that the callback notifies the parent when it gets a button push.4) I have a touch panel and on a timer I send calibrated Touch panel readings to STemWin via GUI_TOUCH_StoreStateEx(). I'm assuming apart from this there is nothing else I will need to do to propagate the touch event to the button widget. Can someone point out if my assumptions are wrong and if there is anything extra I have to do to wire the Touch panel events to the Button Widget callbacks ? ThanksKartik #stm32f439
Posted on June 18, 2014 at 19:58I'm working with the STM32F439_Evaluation platform. I swapped the display out with an AMP 480X272 pcap display and have everything working. I used the LCD Conf file from the demo project and made some compile time based changes for XSIZE_PHYS and YSIZE_PHYS. I want to change the orientation to a portrait scheme and changing LCD_SWAP_XY doesn't seem to do it. I don't see any references to it in the supplied LCDConf.c file leading me to believe that it is not setup for protrait orientation. Any tips on the changes I need to make to get it to work ? Are any changes needed to be made in with regards to the frame buffer allocation ? #stemwin
Posted on March 03, 2014 at 18:35Hello.Well I'm pretty newbie about this thing. I have a task to configure SSD1298/SSD1289 driver with STeMwin. I'm still confuse to modify the GUIDRV_Template.c. Can anyone help me to fix this problem or maybe just explanation about how STeMwin is used for porting a new driver that is not provided by STeMwin? Oh by the way, I'm using STM32F1 with KEIL.Thank you very much. Really appreciate a kindly help. #stemwin #stm32f1 #ssd1289

I am trying to integrate chan fatfs system to my codes but neeed your advice ,Thanks #stm32 #sdcard #tft
Posted on May 02, 2014 at 11:41Hi, we use the STM32F429ZI with the STM32F4-Discovery-Board (with ILI9341-Display - landscape mode). As example we use the ''LTDC_Paint'' - Example from the STM32CubeF4. Normally there is only the background-layer active. I can enable the second layer (foreground), paint something on it and set transparency - no problems. Now we attached an external display from EDT (ETMV570G2DHU - 640x480px, portrait-mode, desoldered the ILI-Display) which works fine with the ONE Layer!!! from the example - also no problems. But when i enable the foreground-layer and the background-layer at the same time - we got noise on the display. Switching between the two layers works and both are ok if they are not enabled at the same time. I checked the Base-Adresses of the Framebuffers which are: LAYER0 (background): 0xD000 0000 + 0x0013 0000 LAYER1(foreground): 0xD000 0000 So i have ~1.2 MBytes per framebuffer which should be enough for 640x480x4=0x0012 C000 I played aroun
Posted on October 13, 2014 at 12:24Hello, Is it possible to use window in STemWin as canvas? I mean this - I have two window on display. One is on background and the other is above it. The second is state window - there are showed system information as needed. There is access from two tasks. The first one is window, which would be used as canvas. A few of user task can draw simple graphics objects - line, rectangle, circle, text. Sometimes user draw is made in the second window. I have configured STemWin for work as multitasking. I was looking for some function, which select window where I want to draw, but I did not find it. Can you somebody tell me, what is the right way? Thank you for help. Jiri #stm32f439-stemwin
Posted on October 10, 2014 at 09:29I have used the stemwin to display on my STM32F429DISCOVERY board, but this stemwin library use the STM32CubF4 library.I want to use UCOS III and stemwin on my board ,but there are many difference between STM32CubF4 library and the STM32F4xx_DSP_StdPeriph_Lib, the UCOS III used the STM32F4xx_DSP_StdPeriph_Lib,i can not use them in one project .what should I do to use them in a project. #stemwin #ucos-iii #stm32f429discovery #stemwin
Posted on June 20, 2014 at 07:18Hi, i am working with SSD1963 7''TFT(800x480) with stm32f407 168 MHz discovery board, SSD1963 driver work fine initializing data bus and control pin as GPIO, but with slow response on TFT, right now refresh rate that I am able to achieve is 1 FPS.As done a lot of search max. 30 FPS can be achieved using FSMC. I took example of darth and update according to my requirement, but some how its not working. Code is attached plz take a look and let me know what I am doing wrong.
Posted on September 17, 2013 at 04:35 Hello All, I've been working with the ov2640 example. I'm 95% sure I can get QQVGA out of the camera just fine; however, when I run through the registers for Jpeg I never get anything sensible out of the camera. I've tried toggling all of the clock signals and I've tried with jpeg on and off. I've even tried the registers from the ArduCam. Sometimes I get a lot of 0,1,2,3 data or 11,12,13 data but I never see any data that looks anything like jpeg. In the example ov2460 they dont ever actually use the jpeg modes since they were outputting directly to the lcd. I watch the dma2_stream1 ndtr register after the dcmi operation returns a frame int. With one setting of clocks I get about 8k of data used in the dma, but is all zeros when I look at the data. Most/all other settings I get all of the dma data (ntdr=0) or no bytes used in dma. When it uses all the bytes its garbage data, so I think I'm just enabling the clocks when I should not,
Posted on August 12, 2014 at 22:30Hi:I am using STM3221G-EVAL board, with the demosntration builder firmware. There are multiple icons on the initial screen, and I would like to replace one of those, with one of my own icons. I have tried emWin BmpCvt and LCD Image Converter to get the C code corresponding to the image, without success. My initial image is a bmp 360x369 pixels, that I have reduced to several sizes but nothing seems to work. The icon is showing at the screen but just streaks. What is the procedure I have to follow to do this? Thanks, #an3128 #emwin #icon #bmpcvt #lcd-image #rgb565 #rgb565 #image-converter
Posted on August 01, 2014 at 13:45Sir, I want to interface camera module that gives throughput of 28Mbps, & I want to interface it to STM32F207. The same data is to be sent to wifi module using USB 2.0 by making STM32F207 as a host. For this I want to know the firmware size that would be & also would there be sufficient SRAM available for loading wifi drivers? Regards Aditya #dcmi-stm32f207

Posted on August 06, 2014 at 11:49Hello, I have a problem for driving LCD. Let me tell you about hardware first:- I am using STM32F427VI, - I am using FMC for communicating. D0..D15 and A16 and NE1 pins.- Pin connections made for 8080 mode.- I am not using an extarnal memory (ram or rom)About software:- I created project file with STM32CubeMX with last versions of F4 package.- I copied STemWin 5.24b library from STM32CubeF4 folder. I created code without FreeRTOS version.- I modified GUIConf and LCDConf files. Also i add a function for status reading. This is necessary for emWin for using with RA8875.- I allocated about 192kbyte ram for emWin.I am working on it about since 4 days. I can write to screen any message. I can draw to screen lines. But i cannot change background color, or i cannot draw a window. I can just write text messages and draw a line. What is the problem you think? Do you thing, do not use an external ram is a reason for this? Because i dont use an external
Posted on May 19, 2014 at 19:07When I try to display a bit map on my LCD, the STM32F4 jumps to the hard fault handler. Because the library is in a binary format, I can't really see whats causing the fault. If I comment out the line, the hard fault doesn't happen. I am using other STemWin functions, GUI_SetColor, GUI_FillRect, GUI_SetFont, GUI_DispStringAt, and the LCD behaves exactly as I expect it to. I know that writing to a protected bank of SDRAM will cause an AHB error, and hard fault, so I've verified that the write protect bits are cleared. I'm looking for a recommendation on how to assess the root cause of the hard fault. #stemwin-stm32f429
