STM32 MCUs Embedded software

I am using STM32F407VG board for logging the data continuously using FATFS. When I am writing the data it is working fine some time , then suddenly it is giving f_write or f_sync error . After that error It is not able to write and it is stopped writing. And not able to detect the sd_card after that error. I am writing the data of 1920 bytes at a rate of 10Hz .And that error is occuring after almost 30 to 50 minutes of continuous writing.

Hello Dear Engineers and DevelopersSo far I had been able to use SD-CARD and USB in CDC mode using STM32f429, but when I add Freertos. USB fails to enumerate on PC. Also, I have been able to use FREERTOS SDCARD and Touchgfx simultanously.Here is my project file. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, this subject has already been treated with other boards in other forums, but libraries and tools have changed since then so i thougth i could open a new question. So i use CAN1 bus in the Discovery STM32F407 in order to share data between 2 discovery. I use a classic transceiver SN65HVD234 from Texas Instruments. I configured the Discovery with CubeMX and used CubeIDE. I'm using the HAL Library.I use the User button to fire an EXTI interuption that call HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage() an writes on the bus. Transmitting data works but not Receiving.The Hardware is working very well as you can see [in the picture][1]. However the end of the frame bothers me a bit, i don't know if this is nominal.Here's what I found using the debugger : The interruption enabled for FIFO0 never fires and the function HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback() is never called. So I think the problem comes frome the Filter and its registers that i don't really understand.here is the configuration code : I

__HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitTypeDef agpio; agpio.Mode = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; agpio.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; agpio.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &agpio); __HAL_RCC_ADC_CLK_ENABLE(); RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef adc_clk; adc_clk.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_ADC; adc_clk.AdcClockSelection = RCC_ADCCLKSOURCE_SYSCLK; HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&adc_clk); ADC_HandleTypeDef adc; adc.Init.ClockPrescaler    = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; adc.Init.Resolution      = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; adc.Init.DataAlign       = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; adc.Init.ScanConvMode     = ADC_SCAN_DISABLE; adc.Init.EOCSelection     = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; adc.Init.LowPowerAutoWait   = DISABLE; adc.Init.LowPowerAutoPowerOff = DISABLE; adc.Init.ContinuousConvMode  = ENABLE; adc.Init.NbrOfConversion    = 1; adc.Init.Discontinuo

I am using the x-nucleo-idw04a1wifi extension shield, and wanted to test it with a firmware project (HTTP_Request). The blue led and the right bottom led used to blink, but now, It does not anymore :( After entering my router information, I get this output and nothing happens... Anyone had this issue before? I have read another issue on this forum but I can't solve mine :( Would appreciate any help...

Hello everyone,We use a STM32F7 and we have built a bootloader which uses the USB-DFU library from ST (usbd_dfu_flash). We can successfully program the internal and external flash. We noticed that it takes quite long so we were looking for ways to increase the download speed. We found a pretty obvious bottle neck: FLASH_ERASE_TIME and FLASH_PROGRAM_TIME were set to 50ms, so the host always waits 50ms before requesting the status of the bootloader to check if it is done with erasing/flashing. If we set those values to 0, we could reduce the download time from about 6min to 40s. In this time we transfer around 6MB of data. We tested everything with an endurance test and looked into the communication with an usb analyzer and couldn't see negative effects.Why is the default 50ms which makes the erase/download really slow? In which circumstances should someone use anything other than 0? Is this only for really slow microcontrollers, so that they wont be "overloaded" with interrupts?Thank yo

Specifically for STM32F103C8T6 and STM32F103RCT6.

Hello,Is it possible if MCU communicates with PC in virtual COM port, using USB connected as shown below.USB_DP --- OTG_FS_DPUSB_DM --- OTG_FS_DMCould anybody please show me example?Thank you.

Hi,I'm looking for an example schematic of a USB PD charger interface using STM32G071G8U. Current questions are:Is the available singe CC pad (PA8) all you need from the hardware point of view? Is there any option to connect D+ and D- to allow 5V loads to charge with higher power (DCP)?Our plan is to switch from a autonomous USB PD charge IC to the STM32G071.

Hi,I am working on a custom USB-PD board and trying to make a sink. To check if everything was working as is it supposed to do, I followed the "10-minute" sink example from ST. But when I connect a USB source, the sink keeps detaching the connection in the debounce fase. Does anyone know why this keeps happening?The MCU used in the project is the STM32G071CBTx and followed the sink sample from ST: https://youtu.be/-vsJhNIaHxE.G0 FW version: 1.4.0STM32CubeMX version: 6.1.0Trace:0 DEBUG 34043 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSInit1 CAD 34043 0 USBPD_CAD_STATE_ATTACHED_WAIT2 DEBUG 34264 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSDeInit3 CAD 34264 0 USBPD_CAD_STATE_DETACHED4 DEBUG 34778 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSInit5 CAD 34778 0 USBPD_CAD_STATE_ATTACHED_WAIT6 DEBUG 34999 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSDeInit7 CAD 34999 0 USBPD_CAD_STATE_DETACHED8 DEBUG 35513 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PWR_VBUSInit9 CAD 35513 0 USBPD_CAD_STATE_ATTACHED_WAIT10 DEBUG 35734 0 ADVICE: Update BSP_USBPD_PW

Hi,I'm trying to trig a DMA from the EXTI0 input. There is a good example in the STM32Cube package for the H7: Projects\STM32H743I-EVAL\Examples\DMA\DMAMUX_RequestGenBut this example uses the BDMA and I need to use the DMA1. I tried to make some modifications to the example but without success (see https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000Pnct0SAB/make-the-stm32h7-example-dmamuxrequestgen-work-with-dma1-instead-of-bdma).Reading the chapter "Block interconnect" I see that the source signal is called "exti_syscfg_exti0" when connected to dmamux2_gen20, but it is called " exti_exti0_it" when connected to dmamux1_gen6. I really don't understand what it means... For sure I use DMAMUX1 with the correct signal ID, but is there something else to change from the example using BDMA/DMAMUX2 ?Thank you.

Hi all:If I plug in USB 2.0 mode high speed port(PC recognition Windows7), frequently enter the ISO in/out incomplete interrupt. but if I plug in USB1.0 mode full speed port,is OK. Once enter the incomplete interrupt.record or playback, audio will be interrupted.Has anyone encountered the same problem？Many thanks?/** * @brief USBD_AUDIO_IsoINIncomplete *     handle data ISO IN Incomplete event * @param pdev: device instance * @param epnum: endpoint index * @retval status */static uint8_t USBD_AUDIO_IsoINIncomplete (USBD_HandleTypeDef *pdev, uint8_t epnum){  USBD_AUDIO_EPTypeDef  *ep; USBD_AUDIO_HandleTypeDef  *haudio; uint16_t current_sof; haudio = (USBD_AUDIO_HandleTypeDef*) pdev->pClassData; /* @TODO check if the feedback is responsible of event */ for(int i = 1; i<USBD_AUDIO_MAX_IN_EP; i++) {  ep = &haudio->ep_in[i]; &n

I am working on USB CDC ACM device. I want to communicate with High Speed device using full speed host(NUCLEO-F411RE). As I am new to USB protocol, but I know that device starts communication in FS mode and switch to HS mode only if host respond to J-K chirp signal. Device is enumerated and detected as full speed device.Descriptor is successfully received on host It is high speed device but detected as FS to my host. Bulk endpoint(IN and OUT) size of device is 512 Bytes. Device transmits data when I send specific character to device, I transmit that data from host and host receive ACK from device.After that I am waiting for data from device, but I don't get any data.I am suspecting that it might be due to Bulk Endpoint size. When I am communication between two STM32 NUCLEO-F411RE board one as HOST and other as DEVICE then data is transmitted and received successfully.When device is connected with PC(host) I am able to get reply from device.IDE used : STM32CubeIDE

void main() { ***_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); uint8_t[4] ={0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00};//{button, x, y, wheel} while(1) { UsbFlag = USBD_CUSTOM_HID_SendReport(&hUsbDeviceFS, &Buffr, sizeof(Buffr)); } }this work no problemHowever, when the computer restarts, it blocks the boot

Hi Everyone,I am trying to run HRTIM Master unit with repetition interrupt and the repetition counter is 1. Now, when I am in interrupt I have to update compare and period registers and using LL to do so. But, within interrupt merely updating registers using LL_HRTIM_TIM_SetPeriod(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_MASTER, PRD); LL_HRTIM_TIM_SetCompare1(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_MASTER, (0.5)*PRD);takes around 2usec, which is a lot for my application. Any way to do it quicker?

The software almost finishes download and then quits with forbidden. This is using chrome on Windows 10. I am trying to learn the F767ZI that I just received. Ideas?

I have created a project in STM32CubeIDE with UART and some GPIO's as Input and Output.I have created 2 Tasks using FreeRTOS - CMSIS v1(osPriorityNormal, osPriorityBelowNormal) with different osDelay(osDelay(500);, osDelay(600);). I have compiled and Flased to STM32F072CBT6 board. Both threads are working fine(Using UART printing some debug messages and blinking LEDs), after sometime board hangs, and nothing has transmitted over UART and LED also Stops blinking.

Hi,We are developing products using STM32F746ZE. We have a requirement for fashing the device using on-chip bootloader over CAN interface. We found tools(FLASHER-STM32) on the ST website, which can be used for flashing through UART.Similarly, for the CAN interface, is there any tool available?Regards,Shijo Thomas

Hello,We are interesting STA8090WG as they support both CAN and GPS.However, after simply review with data sheet, I have some questionsIs it right ? Once we use CAN, we can't use USB since those are alternated with same pin.Can we get reference schematic Sincerely,Hungrok Kwon, ROK Techonoloy

I try use systick handler in STM32G0 uC, i use LL libray. In funcion to activate Systick ( void LL_InitTick(uint32_t HCLKFrequency, uint32_t Ticks) ) is a bug.The error consists in incorrect setting of the SysTick-> CTRL (STK_CSR) configuration register, bit 1 (TICKINT) is missing.

We are trying to build a usb temperature logger. As we know that while using usb cdc we have to define VID and PID to the usb middleware. I have some question:1.Can I use ST's VID and PID in our final product version?2.If so, can I redistribute ST's Virtual COM Port driver to our customers?3.How much does it cost to use ST's VID (0x0483) and unique PID?4.We have a USB VID, but how much does it cost to change the VCP driver if we use our VID?5.Do we need to define new PID per piece of the product or does it remains same for all pieces in one type of product?

Hello everybody!!)) I spent a few days already, try to decide this problem, this reason I decided to ask here.I can write data to register by command HAL_I2C_Mem_Write, but can not read, because 8 register is low uint8_t adress_read1 = 0x43; uint8_t status = 0x1F; uint8_t status_readed;HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c4, adress_read, status, 1, (int8_t*)&status_readed, 1, 10);You can see it the photoI try used differents types for variables, different times, different lengths for variables, different speeds for I2C but the result every rime same. That interesting, with command HAL_I2C_Master_Receive - works without problem, but with this command, I can only read data and can not read registers. Where can be an error, please help me?

DS, RM and Nucleo-boards are already available, but I couldn't find a SVD file for the G0 series.

Has anyone any experience of using both USB ports on a H7 as HID hosts? Use is for a mouse and keyboard. Does the ST USB host firmware support using both ports in this way?I can start work on this but it would be nice to know ahead of time that it has some chance of workingThanks
