define the global variables inside a variables.h file, and was possible to use within several procedures (*.c) only informing with #define "variables.h". In this version it isn't possible. How can I declare the global variables ?Thank you for your attention,Best regards, Ilson

Hello! This is what I have done yet:I started by launching STM32CubeMX and creating a new project for my specific STM32 Nucleo board.Once the project was created, I moved to the Pinout & Configuration tab. There, I enabled the I2C1 peripheral. I then set the SDA and SCL pins in accordance with the I2C configuration for my board.Next, I went to the "Software Packs Component Selector" and entered "lis3mdl" into the search bar. This allowed me to locate the lis3mdl component, and I opted for the I2C interface (over SPI) as this is how I plan to communicate with the sensor.Moving to the "Project Manager" tab, I changed the Toolchain / IDE to the one I am using (for example: KEIL or STM32CubeIDE). I also set the firmware package name and the project's location. In the "Advanced Settings" under "Code Generator", I chose "Copy all used library files into the project folder", to ensure all necessary files are available locally. After these configurations, I navigated to the "Middleware Config

My program hangs after the return statement. pDataDMA = pData->data(); HAL_StatusTypeDef val = HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&spih, pDataDMA, pDataDMA, pData->size()); if (val != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } return;

Hi ST Community,   We have planned to use STM32MP131A MPU in one of our custom designs with low power consumption as the main target.   We have come across STM32 CubeMX v6.8.1 for estimating the individual current consumption in various modes and while utilizing different peripherals.   Unfortunately the current consumption details for necessary peripherals are not available for STM32MP1 series.   Can you provide us the details of any latest version which can support our requirement if available.

Hi all. I have a project in Cubeide for an STM32F429 controller. And at the moment I need to add the existing code for STM32F407. I don't want to create a separate project, but I need to add another controller to the current project and just select the desired configuration. Can you please tell me the best way to organize this moment? At the moment I'm looking at the configuration side. For example create configurations STM32407_release/debug and STM32429_release/debug

I have been struggling to get USB CDC device to work for the Nucleo without any additional USB peripherals. USB CDC works perfectly fine when I use the DISCO-board connected through the USB-micro, with the same MCU as the NUCLEO. I have connected a cut USB A cable and using code like shown in this blog post (just other pin locations for the F411 compared to F042): https://shawnhymel.com/1795/getting-started-with-stm32-nucleo-usb-virtual-com-port/ I have tested removing the ground and shield connections as well as the 5V from the Nucleo, one at a time. When I connect the USB-cable to my computer I don't see any new devices in windows device manager. Why is the connection not recognized? Do I need additional resistors on the D+ and D- lines, when I want to set it up as device? In a desperate attempt I have also tried adding this renumeration code, but the device is still not detected: /* USER CODE BEGIN USB_DEVICE_Init_PreTreatment */   /* * Force host to re-enumerate d

I am currently attempting to build code in simulink for a GIGA R1 project I have. However when setting the ioc file up in CubeMX I am unable to change the init functions to be global. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,I want to mass erase the flash of the P-NUCLEO-WB55 board using UART and USB in boot mode. I have tried mass erase using the STM32Cube programmer it is showing an error "Mass erase operation failed Please verify flash protection". All the option bytes are in their default state as you can see in the screenshots below. I also tried to connect and mass erase the controller using the Flash loader demonstrator app using UART. The Demonstrator app is unable to read the memory of the controller. but I am able to change the read and write protection using the demonstrator app. but whenever I am trying to mass erase the controller using the demonstrator app, it is showing that the controller is read-protected.I have also tried to connect in normal operation mode using ST-link V2 then mass erase is working fine. but the problem is why I am not able to mass erase the controller in boot mode. If anyone is able to help me with how to mass erase the controller in boot mode it would be appreci

In HAL and LL drivers, lot of functions take parameters of type int, where only a Doxygen comment informs you what the possible values of the parameter are (e.g. "This parameter can be a value of @ref RCC_CSI_Config") and you have to manually search the source code for that @defgroup name or look it up in a manual separately. This is obviously stupidly inconvenient and inefficient and ctrl+click behavior is needed to directly jump to the reference. Is there any way to conveniently navigate the @ref references to their respective @defgroups in Eclipse?Do other IDEs allow doing this in a simpler way? How are all of you engineers navigating the parameters without tearing your hair out?

We connect STLINK/V2 to STM32G071 with 3 wires : SWDIO, SWCLK and GND. It always failed to connect. However, we can connect by using JLINK. We notice that STM32G071 combines the boot0 with SWCLK. Does this make STLINK/V2 failed to connect ? How can we fix this problem ? Thanks.

I was looking at the STM32U575RIT6 and while I was looking for the pinout I realize that there is one for with SMPS and one without for the same footprint, but I'm not sure how to determine if the MCU that I am looking has the SMPS. Is it just if you want to use it in the configuration or not that is the pin?

Hi,I have been trying to program W25Q16 external flash for Fast Read Dual Out mode. In this mode, basically both the lines MISO and MOSI become input for the host (STM32 in this case) and data can be read at double the speed. My SPI is running at 40MHz and in Normal read mode with DMA I am getting the correct bandwidth. I am able to read out 20KB in roughly 4.150 milliseconds. Now, when i try to send the instruction to perform Fast Read Dual Output as mentioned in page 30 of this user manual https://datasheet.lcsc.com/lcsc/1912111437_Winbond-Elec-W25Q128JVSIQ_C113767.pdfI don't get the required dual data rate, Its the same data rate, and I also start getting incorrect Data. I have written some predefined values to 512Byte space in flash for the comparison. When I do a normal read, as mentioned above, the data stays correct. However, with Fast Read Dual Out, the data gets corrupted. What i am not able to understand is that, does it require special steps to configure GPIOs before we do fas

Hello everyone, I've got custom-made board with STM32F407VE and W25Q16 SPI flash with TFT Display installed. So I've decided to develop my own external loader for SPI flash for storing images in my TouchGFX project. I've managed to read data from flash with st-link utility and stm32cube programmer but encountered some problems.Somehow I can erase one sector at a time. But if I decide to erase multiple sectors, only the first sector in sequence will be erased. This works in st-link utility.In STM32CubeProgrammer, erase functions doesn't work at all, but I can read the data in memory. And because of these issues I can't write

Following function are tied to the LWIP functions and i do not want to use any LWIP etc...How to bypass that ?void HAL_ETH_RxAllocateCallback(uint8_t **buff) { struct pbuf_custom *p = LWIP_MEMPOOL_ALLOC(RX_POOL); if (p) { /* Get the buff from the struct pbuf address. */ *buff = (uint8_t *)p + offsetof(RxBuff_t, buff); p->custom_free_function = pbuf_free_custom; /* Initialize the struct pbuf. * This must be performed whenever a buffer's allocated because it may be * changed by lwIP or the app, e.g., pbuf_free decrements ref. */ pbuf_alloced_custom(PBUF_RAW, 0, PBUF_REF, p, *buff, ETH_RX_BUFFER_SIZE); } else { RxAllocStatus = RX_ALLOC_ERROR; *buff = NULL; } }   void HAL_ETH_RxLinkCallback(void **pStart, void **pEnd, uint8_t *buff, uint16_t Length) { struct pbuf **ppStart = (struct pbuf **)pStart; struct pbuf **ppEnd = (struct pbuf **)pEnd; struct pbuf *p = NULL;   /* Get the struct pbuf from the buff address. */ p = (struct pbuf *)(buff - offsetof(RxBuff

In an earlier project based on STM32F7x, we had to add memory remapping by hand:SYSCFG->MEMRMP = 0x01;There is no equivalent in SYSCFG for STMU575, nor did I find relevant bits under SYSCFG->CFGR1 or CFGR1->CFGR2 or other field as part of SYSCFG.

Hi all, This is my first time in stm32 mcu's and since today i struggled to manage to install all needed software to my old win7 pc. Finally at 2am i managed to success. Then after desided to program my bluepill quick before go to sleep. I started with blink program using hal_delay function. but it seems it works reverse for some reason. This is my ide code;while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(4000); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_PIN_13, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(1000); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }The problem is when above code generated and uploaded to stm32f103 , led turn on for 1sec and turn off for 4 seconds(if i manage to see the led correctly :p ). But i thought it must be reverse. Mean, must turn on for 4 sec and off for 1 sec, correct me if im wrong ?This is just a simple blink pc13 pin on bluepill nothing more but it seems im doing something wrong with it that i couldnt understand. Here are my ioc file l

Hi, I'm trying to make a c++ project for STM32CubeIDE using the STM32CubeMX.However there doesn't seem to be any c++ option, is there something I'm missing or is the software just not made for it?

Hi Team,Currently my Project have 2 Build variants (Managed via Manage configuration), build are placed in root directory inside Configuration name. I'm looking for below solution:To place both variants build in one common folder. To select both variants by default, currently only one is active. and also to use pre and post build to call *.bat/*.sh files.Kindly let me know how to achieve above needs. Thanks & Regards,Subramanya A

new (from mouser) STLINK V3 MINIE not working on Windows PC (win7) , no driver found !hey, on same PC STLINK V3MODS working without problem !the brand new V3MINIE also on Win10 doing nothing - no error, no enumeration.on win7 here :no driver found.and compare on USB V3mods right and V3minie left side:different PID .what can i do now ?  @peter_3993 BENSCH  - any help ??

Hello, I am new to deployment of neural networks on mcu's. I am doing a speech enhancment project and want to deploy my noise classificator on my nucleo L496ZGP board. I have 0 exprience with this, how can I do tests on my custom data and (prefferebly) classify recorded sounds in real time in xcube-ai?

I cannot find this information in the NUCLEO-64 ref. manual. Do NUCLEO-64 boards generate a 5V UART TX-signal with an external 5V power supply (E5V pin)? Thank you.

Hi all,I'm trying to create a simple webpage server on a NUCLEO-H723ZG. I understand some basics, but overall I'm pretty new to all of this. So I'm starting from the LwIP Server Netconn RTOS example. If I load the default example to the board, it works great. But, after trying everything I can think of, and looking all over the internet, I cannot seem to change the homepage to my own static HTML file. I've figured out how to use the MAKEFS scripts and all that, but, assuming it compiles without errors, the default homepage does not change. I've tried different options and saving the fsdata file to different directories, but nothing works. This is for a proof-of-concept for my company's latest project, and I don't need to be an LwIP expert quite yet (maybe later). So, simple question: starting from the default LwIP Server Netconn RTOS example, and running MAKEFS script on my HTML files, how do I get them into my project so they show up? That's it: just how do I switch to a different home
