Hello everybody,I am trying to bit-bang an I2S interface on an STM32F103 at 72MHz using TIM2.Am I way too optimistic to get a 3MHz "clock" out on a pin? The fastest I can seem to get it is at 90kHz.I have set the "prescaler" of TIM2 to "0" and "1".And, I have set the auto reload register at 11 with an interrupt writing "0" and "1" to a GPIO pin.And Channel 1 set as "Output comapre no output" as well as "PWM1 output" on PA15.The CPU and timer frequencies are 72MHz. Any suggestions? (other than get an STM32 with I2S ;) )Kind regards, pieterg!

Hello,I am working on a project with an STM32F746BGT6. I am supposed to read a binary file on an USB key. I have a code with USB OTG-FS working on STM32F4, but not with a F7. The variable "Appli_state" is never changed to "APPLICATION_READY" which unable the code to continue. So I tried a STM32 example on the discovery board STM32F746. This example is the MSC_Standalone USB Host Mass Storage (MSC) application.I connected the usb key on connector CN13, which is the connector for FS.I started the program and got the same problem as above. I tried with an USB key FAT32 and FAT16. The only steps that are executed correctly arelinking the usb drivermounting the usb key.As it is an example code from ST, i guess it is supposed to work. Does anyone had a similar problem?Thank you for any idea.Best regards.

Hi all,I've got an STM32 evaluation board (STM32H745-DISCO). As soon as I connect the board using the ST-Link connector the Windows PC also detects a mass storage device.I haven't used this feature before but it seems that "drag-and-drop programming" is possible. But I haven't really found details about this mechanism. It must be a feature of the ST-Link firmware which can be deactivated (by programming other firmware if I understand correctly).Does this mechanism allow to program both banks of the internal flash?Does this mechanism allow to program an external QSPI flash (somehow using an external loader) on the board or is this limited to internal flash? What file types are supported? .bin, .hex, .elf?Is there any detailed documentation about this? There's a DETAILS.TXT and an MBED.HTM file on the virtual mass storage device. The HTML file only forwards to http://mbed.org/device/?code=08470221012961693E6DF813 which is resolves to https://os.mbed.com/platforms/ST-Discovery-H745I/ - telli

Hi,I was trying to convert a code written in HAL to baremetal for reducing the size. The code in HAL has 90KB file size when build in Debug mode and has 50KB file size in Release mode. In case of baremetal 73KB and 63KB respectively for Debug and Release modes. How can I reduce the file size of baremetal code than the HAL Release mode.

See this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/rtos/threadx-modules/chapter1Would like to explore the options of using this method to partition code.

I attended the online STM32H5 workshop on Tuesday last week. We were told that the slides and a code for a free STM32H5 Nucleo board would be emailed to us after the workshop.   Almost a week later I have still not received either and email to the address in the workshop emails is ignored.

Hello,My aim is to send (from my nucleo board_F103+FTDI) somes ADC value from DMA.Easy...But i would like a frame like that (Windows Software need it):<STX>ADC1;ADC2;ADC3<ETX><CR><LF>I'm able to send data, no more...uint16_t sensor_B =1234; char str[10];   sprintf(str, "%u\r\n", sensor_B); HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart1, (uint8_t*)str, strlen(str));Do you know the simplest way to do that ?

Dear eveyone,I' little confuse..I'm trying to send dat over uart from a nucleo board (F103 + FDTI). If a use "normal"method, it's work great.I mean, i receive "1234567890" WITH a new line.uint8_t start [20]= "1234567890 \n\r"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, start, sizeof(start),10);But when i use DMAuint8_t start [20]= "1234567890 \n\r"; HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart1, start, sizeof(start));I get a lot of<NULL> character before data...Maybe a need to reinit the buffer DMA ?if you have an idea...

Hi all,I'm using STM32L562VETQmy question is:can i delay the reset for about 20ms when pressing the NRST pin ?i want to give LED-Indication for the device reset.in other words, can the reset -that comes from the NRST pin- be delayed for a specific amount of time ? and if so, how can i read the state of the NRST pin so that to detect that the user has pressed it ?

Hello guys .. i have created many screens in touchGFX. Im using my 1st screen as a startup screen in that im increasing the progress bar values using systick function.. in 1st screen's interaction im selecting Trigger as "Progress indicator value Update completed " . when my progress bar reaches to 100%, screen is not getting changed.

Hi guys! Good day and hope you are doing well.I am currently working with STM32H573VIT6. I have enabled the Trustzone by using STM32CubeProgrammer (i.e., from the "Option bytes" feature). After that I am having an issue of "Hardfault exception" during debugging(FYI, I am using IAR as IDE). I have got the following logs from the debug log.Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55: Breakpoint hit: Code @ startup_stm32h573xx.s:235.1, type: default (auto)  Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55: HardFault exception. Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55: The processor has escalated a configurable-priority exception to HardFault. Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55:  Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55:  A bus fault has occurred on an instruction prefetch (CFSR.IBUSERR, BFAR). Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55:  Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55:  Attribution unit violation: Mon May 29, 2023 16:46:55: An attempt was made to access parts of the address space that are marked as Secure with NS-R

Hi all, I am exploring the security features available on STM32 platform and I read the document (KMS-MW Brief Data). I need some more details on that. Can you share some documents regarding it?

Downloadedd MCTK library and motor control live monitor came as a part of it.Post installation run, I can see Live monitor GUI as attached.Something is clearly wrong with GUI. Please help resolve this issue.

I am writing this letter to seek your advice regarding a problem we are currently facing. We have an application scenario that involves a device with a battery, and we want the NFC tag on the device to become invalid when the battery runs out, thereby preventing the card reader from reading the contents on the tag.I have tried to use passive tags and attempted to disconnect the induction coil through a special circuit, but the effect was not satisfactory. I was wondering if you know of any good solutions for this.Thank you very much for your help, and I look forward to your reply.Sincerely

Problem: Acknowledgement error on can analyzer We are able to get the transmit data on TxFIFO Registers for CAN channel 2 but hardware is unable to transmit the message on the CAN channel 2.   May I know what we can do to correct this problem asap? #[STM32 MCUs] #STM32CubeIDE #[SPC5 Automotive MCUs] #SPC5Studio #SPC5x #CAN

Both CAN buses are transmitting correctly. But when I initialize CAN1 and CAN2 only CAN2 receives messages, when only CAN2 is initialized it receives. same for the CAN1. Hi there,I am using Nucleo-H745ZI-Q. I am trying to create 1 microsecond(us) timer. My timer clock frequency is 75Mhz. So first time, I put in 75Mhz for the prescaler. But the error range was 500 ms per second. So I googled and found this comment. -->> In the CubeMX perspective, open Timers and select TIM16. Set the Prescaler (PSC) to 74. I’ll write “75 - 1? to show that a prescaler value of 74 actually means use a clock divider or 75. The prescaler is off by 1 because it’s 0-based: a PSC value of “0? means to use a prescaler (clock divider) of 1.I put in 74Mhz for the prescaler and error range was under 500 us(solved problem).I just want to make sure about that. I couldn't find the official comment about the prescaler in the manual and datasheet document.Could you confirm it for me?Please give me the comment or let me know where it is commented. Thanks,

The firmware that is delivered on the board has an evaluation tools link that is broken:"/en/evaluation-tools/DISCO-H747XI.html"and going through the user manual and powering on the board does not start the demo examples.Where can I find a getting started thread specific to this board. There does not seem to be one.I want to make sure the board is OK before I try other examples etc. Right now I get a green power light LD8 and LD10 is solid red. Thanks.

Using a STM32G0F06I have a bootloader/application that I am debugging. I am facing a strange problem. Often, I command the app to drop to bootloader (via a software reset). When I execute the software reset code, occasionally the core locks up.Here is a video showing the core registers and the disassembly as I step debug through the reset code:https://youtu.be/8SxjNWpSIssA couple of questions:Is this a MCU core lockup? If not, what is it?Does the PC go to 0x1FFF19A6 during a core lockup, or is that just random? How come the IWDG I have configured does not reset the MCU after it has locked up? Does it get locked up to?Is there some way I can programmatically recover from a core lockup:MCU pulls its' own external reset pin low?

Hello everyone, I am working on a camera project, I am a beginner with STM32 and camera modules. I am using a MIPI module on Raspberry and I would now like to use it with an STM32, the problem is that with STM it is the DCMI protocol that is used. Could you tell me if you know of an existing component that allows the MIPI -> DCMI link? Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

I have tried many things to get my pc to recognize the serial port of my sensortilebox, i have windows 10, so i shouldnt have this problems. Some know how to fix it?
