Hi everybody, I'm trying to configure the Wi-Fi module on my custom board (based on the STM32MP153, the Wi-Fi module already tested OK) in Access point mode, and I found the official guide to set hostapd tool to do that: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_a_WLAN_interface_on_hotspot_mode However, from the tutorial, it seems that hostapd is already installed and preconfigured on the machine, but on my distro (built from st-image-core with openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27) it seems that is not present by default... How can I add the tool on Yocto layers? Do I have to modify the kernel too? Should be best to add it on my custom/board-specific meta-layer.  Thanks for your time

Hello Everyone!I'm facing a problem with all the examples on this package FP-AI-Vision and my LCD only displays noises. I have the board STM32H747I-Disco model MB1248-H747I-D03 and the display MB1166-A09. I realized that in this package doesn't has the drive NT35510 and this is important for my display to work, because of that I had changed the files STM32Cube\Repository\FP-AI-VISION1_V3.1.0\Drivers\BSP\STM32H747I-Discovery and STM32Cube\Repository\FP-AI-VISION1_V3.1.0\Drivers\BSP\Components to include all packages inside STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.1. Also, I had modified  the file stm32h747i_discovery_conf_template.h to include USE_LCD_CTRL_NT35510 1U and add the correct include path on the project. I had try to debug my code and it seems that the code is runing in this method:I appreciate if you can help me.

Hello, I've written a software to use the FDCAN (classic frame 500kbit/s - PB8/PB9 pins) on  Nucleo-H7ZI43 (FW_H7 V1.7.0 and stlink V3J13M4 FW)All works fine, I'm able to transmit and to receive message with different ID and DLC by mean Innomaker CAN-USB and MCP2562FD transceiver. If I use the same code on my  PCB and the same microcontroller, FDCAN is not initialized, no messages are transmitted or received. The electrical configuration how you can see on the schematic attached is the same of Nucleo-H7ZI43, in this case I'm using an external stlink-v3 debugger with V3J13M4B5S1 FW. I've checked several times the connections and electrical network, all it's correct from my point of view.To help the analisys I'm attaching also the clock.jpeg and can.c file. Please can you support me? RegardsChris

Hello, I use the original StLink V3 set, along with STM32CubeProgrammer via cmd. Sometimes I encounter an error where ST-Link jumps into Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR).I don't know how to resolve it. The only solution that works for me is to disconnect and reconnect the ST link to USB. However, this is problematic if I want it to function reliably in production. Is there any solution? All output:b' -------------------------------------------------------------------\\r\\n STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0 \\r\\n -------------------------------------------------------------------\\r\\n\\r\\n===== DFU Interface =====\\r\\n\\r\\nNo STM32 device in DFU mode connected\\r\\n\\r\\n===== STLink Interface =====\\r\\nST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR)\\r\\n\\r\\n-------- Connected ST-LINK Probes List --------\\r\\n\\r\\nST-Link Probe 0 :\\r\\n ST-LINK SN : \\xf0X\\xe5\\x02\\r\\n ST-LINK FW : \\r\\n Access Port Number : 7471203\\r\\n Board Name : \\r\\n---------------------------------------

I am using the SPC58 MCU product with the TRACE32 debugger. When changing the Life Cycle from "customer_delivery" to "in_field" with the trace32 script, debugging is only possible by entering the keycode. What should I do if I want to change the Life Cycle back to "customer_delivery"?

Hi,When attempting to connect to an STM32F030C8T6 MCU, ST-LINK Utility gives the following error message:"Can not connect to target! If you're trying to connect to an STM32W1xx device, please select Normal or HotPlug mode from Target->Settings menu.If you're trying to connect to a low frequency application , please select a lower SWD Frequency mode from Target->Settings menu. Can't reset the core" I have it connected via SWD. Pin 19 of ST-LINK/V2 is connected to the VDD of the MCU. Pin 1 is connected to VDD of the MCU. GND of MCU is connected to pin 20 of ST-LINK.How can I fix this error? I've had the same setup before and that has worked. This is the first time I'm getting this error. I've tried rebooting my PC & ST-LINK. I can't erase the chip because the ST-LINK Utility can't connect to it.

Hii everyone,I am facing the problem for the data logging in flash.i am not able to keep track of the variable till where the flash memory is filled is there any way to sort out this problem. i am not able to erase the single word to update the address at particular location after writing to the flash instead whole sector is getting erased.

Hello,I bought one Nucleo-H743ZI2 board and found the two capacitors (C71 and C72) for X2 32.768KHz are not installed. May I know if I need to install them with 5.1pF if I want to use the X2? I went through the manual "UM2407 User manual for STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards (MB1364)". But it seems not mention the two capacitors for the LSE clock. Thank you.

hi,where i can download ST200 Micro Toolset software !! thanks

I developed a user device with a STM32G030 in it. Now I want to go to the market. But before that, I want to have a USB port on my board with which users can update their firmware in case my software has bugs. In the STM32G0x0 datasheet (RM0454) in chapter 28 there's a lot of USB talk going on. But I can find nowhere on the internet (ST or other) a simple description like put PA11 to D-, put PA12 to D+, put GND to GND. Put some HAL functions in your code and you'll have like a virtual com port. Now write some python code or whatever. In my world (guitar effect pedals) everyone has a USB firmware upgrade arrangement. Can someone please help me to get my users to put a USB cable in my device and their PC en and then see a waving hand, a smile and a 'finished' message? Help!

Cannot install on Ubuntu 23.10. This release of Ubuntu comes with libncurses6 and libpython3, which are installed on my system. Using the .DEB release downloaded from https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html.EDIT: Tried with both Wayland and XORG. The install fails in the same way for both.  The following packages have unmet dependencies: st-stm32cubeide-1.14.0 : Depends: libncurses5 but it is not installable Depends: libpython2.7 but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Hallo, I am working with CubeMX. I want to install the package in the repository. In my software, it says that C:/Users/Divya/STM32Cube/Repository/ is my repository location. When I searched, i can't found this folder in my laptop. How to proceed from now? Also, I tried to change the location, but couldn't manage. If you have faced such problem, let me know.Thank you.

Hi,We had an existing product using STM32G070RB powered by the USB Type-C and would like to detect the input source can provide the proper power delivery (15W, 5V, 3A).I looked at the STM32 solutions for USB Type-C and Power Delivery document and noticed STM32G0x1 supports the build-in UCPD controller, but not STM32G0x0 series, is it correct? If yes, then is there any example or suggestion to use STM32G0x0 series to detect PD source? Thanks.James Shih

To enable LwIP in CubeMX (inside CubeIDE) it needs the CPU data cache enabled.  Ok, no problems, but it doesn't explain why and I can't find why this is the case. Is anyone able to offer an explaination?

I recently posted this content in ST's comunity and I can't figure out the problem yet. I updated all the drivers, such as  GitHub STM32H747I-DISCO BSP,  OTM8009A LCD  and  NT35510 LCD.  Also, I included all the path to nt35510, files nt35510.c and nt35510_reg.c on BSP/Drivers/Components and modified the file stm32H747i_discovery_conf.h as shown as below (My board revision is MB1248-H747I-D03 and LCD is MB1166-A09).I've got the same error:  make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Utilities/lcd/stm32_lcd.c', needed by 'Utilities/stm32_lcd.o'. StopWhen I use the standard code, the LCD only displays noise.I've strugle with this problem since last week and I need to figure out the issue. I appreciate if anyone can helps me.

Hello, Everyone!I have a trouble to interfacing B-CAMS-OMV with STM32H747I-Discovery. I used the examples DCMI_SnapshotMode on STM32CubeIDE and in other post, a ST employee said that the drivers are old and the new ones are on the github page in this link.  I tried so many times to use this example with the new drivers and its not working and the LCD displays only noise. The LCD works well because I tested some LCD_DSI and works fine. I've missed something on the code?

Hi,I'm attempting to test some Object Detection demo models from the X-LINUX-AI expansion package on the STM32MP157D-EV1 eval kit with a live camera video stream. However, I'm currently having what seems like a streaming problem with both the C++ or Python apps (refered to as "Object Detection COCO SSD v1"). When launching those apps on the device, the app window opens, but the stream never starts.Hence, to investigate the issue, I performed some manual GStreamer testing with command lines. It seems that with the CSI camera part of the kit, the stream will not start when the required data transfer rate is too high. For example, the stream will start with the following parameters: "video/x-raw, width=720, height=480, framerate=(fraction)15/1", but not with 30 fps with the same resolution. When we reduce the resolution to "width=320, height=240", we can reach 30 fps. Furthermore, when using a USB third party camera, the streaming limitation does no occur. Please find a

Hello,I have developed my own board using the STM32H723VG and two equal sensors connected separately via SPI1 and SPI2.I have underclocked the MCU to 300MHz. The SPI clock is 48MHz while the communication frequency for both sensors is 24MHz. As CS I am using a manually toggeled pin. I am using the HAL and the STM32CubeIDE. For setting the initial registers of the sensors Iam using the blocking SPI TransmitReceive function. While reading a known register value from the sensor 1 which is connected via SPI1 I have seen that sometimes the used SPI HAL function does not return the expected value but returns HAL_OK. Instead of the expected Value (71) i get a 0.So far I have discovered in a test code that the issue occures after using a delay longer than 145ms.I dont know why a HAL_Delay or just anything else which blocks an SPI transaction for longer than 145ms should result in an SPI communication error. I doubt that my issue has something to do with the custom board since it does obvi

i have established communication with a BLDC (Brushless DC) controller. Initially, i send a message to the controller using the function void sendParameter(uint8_t parameter). Following this transmission, the BLDC controller is expected to respond with a frame. Although the transmission process appears to be functioning correctly, the receiver is not operating as expected. i have confirmed this issue using a logic analyzer.   UART_HandleTypeDef huart1;uint8_t buffer[10];uint8_t senddata[4] = {0x66, 0x42, 0x00, 0xA8};uint8_t transmitAllowed = 1;-----------------------------------------------*/void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void)  void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){    HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, buffer, 1);} void sendParameter(uint8_t parameter){  HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(&huart1, senddata, 4);HAL_Delay(100);}   */int main(void){&

Hello,I am going to start a new project on a STM32H5 microcontroller, and first I have updated the STM32CubeIDE to the latest version v.1.14.0.I have seen that the default toolchain is still v.11.3, but that is also possible to install the new v.12.3. Which GCC version is better to choose for the new project? Should I mantain 11.3 or pass to 12.3? Best regards,Carlo

As shown in the figure is a ball, the depth difference of one pixel is less than 3.7mm. But as shown in the histogram, the depth difference is more than 15mm. I would like to know if this is caused by noise or some other reasons?

I am trying to set up a multichannel ADC and following YouTube tutorials to create it. However, the STM32 IDE will not allow me to set preemption priority to 1. Similarly, I cannot set the clock prescaler as divided by 2.  I need to make a multichannel with at least 2 analogue pins (potentially more), yet even 2 ADC channels cannot work separately.Other similar nucleo boards (on YouTube) could do this without a problem. How can I solve both these issues?
