Hi community ,I'm currently working on STM32H747I DISCO0 Board .The peripheral I'm using is QSPI, I'm able to read/write and also enter Xip mode in CM7 .Problem:1)QSPI does not work in CM4 .Need to access QSPI in CM4 and perform same operations as read/write and Xip mode .2)Please specify the Steps to be taken to work on CM4 for QSPI.Details:CubeIDE :Version: 1.12.1CubeMX :6.10.0Thank you and regards UJWAL KUMAR N L

Hi, I have been working with the B-G431-ESC1 for some time.I profiled my motor with ST Profiler and loaded the .JSON file on Workbench and generated the code.My final goal is to be able to control the speed of my motor by sending a PWM signal to the motorcontroller, which more or less already works. But i have two problems at the moment:What could be the reason why my BLDC motor, which is in the RUN state (i.e. running without any problems), goes to the IDLE state after a certain time without any command being given? On ST Motor Pilot, I don't have any errors displayed that could guide me to the potential cause.how to choose the good sensorless startup parameters for our motor startup?  thank you for your suggestions.

I am developing a device using the nucleo-f429zit6 evaluation board as a reference. This device has an Ethernet communication function, and the Ethernet communication function was tested by directly connecting this device to the server using a cross-Ethernet cable. Currently, after a command is delivered to the device from the server, the response from the device arrives at the server late. As an example, I checked the server's response to a ping command, and the initial response took about 2 seconds. I'd like to know how to improve this response so that it comes out quickly, within 1 second. The current device's slow Ethernet communication response speed Below is the clock speed of the hardware used by the device, the firmware version currently being used, and the version of LwIP.

Hello, I am using MB1054B board with STSW-95HF002 software package to develop my own application to read ISO14443A NFC tag. In the STSW-95HF002 software package there are several functions that read/write data from the tag. But the data read from the tag is all in numbers. The NFC tag I am reading is sending a character string as data. I can read the data using STSW-95HF001 development software but when I tried reading it from the my own program using CR95HF.dll, the data I get is all in numbers. How can I interpret that data to exactly re-form the character string? Can you direct me to some resources which you can refer to me? Any short example codes? :) My another concern is, do I have to always Initialize, config, increase demo gain, etc to read the NFC tag? Each time I want to read the tag, do I have to follow these steps? Or is there any other way? Any help would be appreciated :)best,

Hello everyone,New to the world of STM32 and moving from Arduino programming to more in-deep STM32 one, I faced an issue that I solved in a way I can't understand.I started working on a basic Blink program using STM32WB5MM-DK and the in-board RGB PWM led. I understood a little bit late that i had to configure the interrupts and clocks but well, that's how we learn.But I still don't understand - at least - one thing. In the Clock Configuration (.ioc file) I can't get a working program if the system clock is set less to 48MHz and after some iterations, I discovered that it was in fact the APB2 timer clock that had to be at least 48MHz. In the datasheet(s) I can't find any indication on this critical value.Is there any logic behind this value ? Or is it a side effect of something that I have not already understood ?  My program is pretty similar to the led.c code in BSP example Thanks !

Now I want to make a poller using ST25R3920B.Main mcu is communicating with spi.I tried to turn it to task after initialize, but there was an error in rfalFieldOnAndStartGT() and I followed the code ret = st25r3916PerformCollisionAvoidance( ST25R3916_CMD_INITIAL_RF_COLLISION, ST25R3916_THRESHOLD_DO_NOT_SET, ST25R3916_THRESHOLD_DO_NOT_SET, (ST25R3916_REG_AUX_nfc_n_mask & gRFAL.timings.nTRFW) );   st25r3916ExecuteCommand( FieldONCmd );   There is an error in the upper part.  When I checked using printf(), the previous line of that line was printed, but the software continues to restart.I think ST25R3916_CMD_INITIAL_RF_COLLISION Direct Command seems to be a problem. But I don't know why this is related to reset (reboot)...Has anyone experienced any of these or similar issues?

Hi Team,If anyone has, could you please share the application note for the Motor control Applications for NUCLEO-G431RB and X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1.If anyone has the block diagram of the FOC also, Please share

I created a new .ioc project with STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0.  I did the same with 1.12.0 with the same results.  When I build and debug the project and run to a breakpoint after all initialization is complete, when I examine memory at 0xd0000000 the frame returns all ??????????.  I made no changes except to change FreeRTOS to reentrant.  If I install code to write to 0xd0000000 and read it back I get a hard fault.The hardware is good since if I do the same thing loading the LTDC_Paint example I see the frame buffer data at 0xd0000000.Any ideas?

VSCode is gaining in popularity at work and so I had a requirement to use it as the development platform for an ST mcu based project. I have very little experience with vscode and as I was unable to find an answer to my problem I thought that I would share what worked for me.My application uses both internal and external flash for code (qspi). I created an external loader (MT25Q128A_STM32F746_KAL_AB.stldr) and was able to program this in STM32CubeIDE by configuring the external loader details in the debugger tab. VSCode requires certain extensions - cortex-debug; MemoryView; Peripheral Viewer and RTOS Views. Sorry if I've missed any.The way to debug the application is to create a launch.json file. Below is mine. Hope it helps{// Use IntelliSense to learn about possible attributes.// Hover to view descriptions of existing attributes.// For more information, visit: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=830387"version": "0.2.0","configurations": [{"name": "<myapp Debug>","cwd": "$

Hello everyone !I am using STWBC86 and STWLC38 MCUs, using our own custom board.The wireless charging was going well, but the problem is this.[ When charging → put away the RX → put back the RX ] ...▶ the heat comes out from the RX MCU.Any ideas to solve this issue ? Thank you.

Hi, I'm running into problems registering USB interfaces on STM32G0B1KBU6.  The same code works fine on STM32F1*, STM32F7*, and STM32G4*.Environment: latest STM32CubeIDE (v.1.13.2) @ Windows.  Target: custom board with STM32G0B1KBU6, which uses the following peripherals: USB, CANbus, 9x PWM out lines and a digital GPIO in (the details are below).  Flashing is done over SWD using either ST-Link v.2, or J-Link Base, directly from the CubeIDE.For debugging, I've reduced the problem to a new and empty CubeIDE project for this chip, adding only the USB and one timer.  No custom code: just what's generated by the IDE.  No matter what USB device class is selected in *.ioc->Middleware and Software Packs -> USB_DEVICE -> Class For FS IP, the device fails to be recognized by the host (both Windows and Mac).  The message provided by a Windows host is "Device Descriptor Request Failed".  If I step over the init functions, the host reports this messa

I have 1024 integer numbers in an array that are between 0 and 4096. Now I'm trying to convert these array values to Q1.15 format. These should then be between -1 and +1. With my attempt, I don't achieve any negative values, all of them are just positive. Thanks for the help. float32_t fir_in_arm [1024],fir_out_arm [1024],fir_state [1089-1];int16_t fir_in_temp [1024]; // with float32_t also tried and no successfloat32_t fir_in_temp_gleit [1024]; for (int i = 0; i<= adcBufferSize; i++){adc_buffer_float[i] = (float32_t)adc_buffer [i];fir_in_temp_gleit[i] = (adc_buffer_float[i])/32767;fir_in_temp [i] = fir_in_temp_gleit[i]*32768;}

Hi! Do we have write acces on pin set to alternate function push-pull? Problem: CLK line floats after hal_transmitreceive, pullup helps but distorts clk line.And with pullup there seems to be a glitch at end that slave can detect as fake clock cycle and push MSB out of its scope and add to end radom bit.Should i go with LL spi will this help?Attachment: clk with pull-up, yellow - clk

Hi, I am running a debug session for a project and am running into a pretty baffling problem where values I load into an array are seemingly getting erased by a tools error. I have a class that has an array as one of its members, that gets filled with pointers to UI objects. This has worked for me on numerous other projects. I had to update to CubeIDE 1.14.1 recently, and suddenly the array values are getting erased as soon as any of the class methods are called. As you can see here, the array shows all the correct values, but then once the class method service_all() is called, the array values get deleted:Before: After (before any part of the service_all() method is even executed!):I have optimization disabled for this part of the source code. Any idea what is causing this? It's completely baffling and has ground development to a complete halt.

Hello,upfront, it might be an incredibly dumb problem on my behalf as I am fairly new to this.For a couple days now I have been trying to read out the voltage through the onboard ADC configured for 12 bits but all I am getting back are values in a similar range (mostly somewhere in between 1500 and 1800 but that changes with the amount of delay that I introduce, does that help?). The value itself does change, floating within that range.I have tested for faulty connections and switched the board but the issue persists.It is a very basic setup, just a potentiometer connected to the A0, and it works if I use an Arduino with its framework to try and read the value (the potentiometer is not broken). But also supplying A0 with ground or 3.3v directly doesn't change the read value. After reading the value I write it to serial, which is also working.My guess is that something with my clock configuration is wrong and the ADC has not enough time to run a meaningful measurement.I hope that any of

Hi community,I am using STM32H747I-DISCO board and I configured external SDRAM as dynamic data memory in M7 core by  calling the SystemInit_ExtMemCtl() function in  SystemInit() function, it is working fine but when I tried with the M4 SystemInit_ExtMemCtl() function call is only defined for M7 core in SystemInit() function. Please someone suggest is it possible to use external SDRAM as dynamic data memory in M4 core?

HelloI've seen tons of posts about this, I'm hoping I'm just missing something simple, I would really love to get this working. STM32H723ZG, DMA TX works, I can send a sine wave fine but the RX buffer never changes and is never filled. I've put the RX and TX buffers in D2RAM but this seems to make no difference. DMA half and complete callbacks trigger fine, everything else seems to be running right the RX just wont fill. I2S = 96khz, 32bit on a 32bit frame, DMA= half word, circular  __attribute__ ((section(".rxBuffer"), used)) __attribute__ (()) uint16_t rxBuf[8];__attribute__ ((section(".txBuffer"), used)) __attribute__ (()) uint16_t txBuf[8];  HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive_DMA (&hi2s2, txBuf, rxBuf, 4);  //in flash file.buffers(NOLOAD) :{. = ALIGN(4);. = ABSOLUTE (0x30000000);*(.rxBuffer). = ABSOLUTE (0x30000040);*(.txBuffer)} >RAM_D2

When I build a project I noticed that the command `make -j9 all` is run, which suggests me that there is Makefile somewhere, but it is not in my project folder. Does anybody know  where I can find it? I am working with a Nucleo-F446RE.

Hi, I am running a project on NanoEdge AI (anomaly detection), using STEVAL-STWINKT1B SensorTile Wireless Industrial Node and STLINK-V3MINI. I am following st's youtube turotial NanoEdge AI Studio V3 - Anomaly Detection demo. I would like to load data from serial (USB), but no data is flowing.What I did so far (mosty what is said in um2622) : - Connected USB to the board while keeping USR button pressed- Connected STLINK-V3MINI- Erased all sectors and loaded DataLogExtended.bin into the board ( path fp-sns-stbox1\STM32CubeFunctionPack_FP-SNS-STBOX1_V1.6.0\Projects\STM32L4R9ZI-SensorTile.box\Applications\DataLogExtended\Binary)- Loaded DataLogExtended.bin into STWIN-v3MINI ( path fp-sns-stbox1\STM32CubeFunctionPack_FP-SNS-STBOX1_V1.6.0\Projects\STM32L4R9ZI-SensorTile.box\Applications\DataLogExtended\Binary )- Disconnected the board and STLINK-V3MINI and long pressed RESET button - Reconnected the board first, and then STLINK-V3MINI- at this s

I bought an STM32F072 disco board specifically to develop a USB CDC application, but I can't now find an example or demo in STM32CubeMX V6.10. I found this thread https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f070-usb-cdc-example/m-p/457994#M150836 but has this dropped out of Cube 6.10?

Hi, I am using STM32H747I-DISCO board, I configured FDCAN it is working fine in M7 core but the same code is not working in M4 core , I changed the FDCAN initializer from M7 to M4 core in STM32CubeMX. Here is my FDCAN initialization. /* USER CODE BEGIN FDCAN2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END FDCAN2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN FDCAN2_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END FDCAN2_Init 1 */  hfdcan2.Instance = FDCAN2;  hfdcan2.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_FD_NO_BRS;  hfdcan2.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL;  hfdcan2.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE;  hfdcan2.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE;  hfdcan2.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE;  hfdcan2.Init.NominalPrescaler = 5;  hfdcan2.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 3;  hfdcan2.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 16;  hfdcan2.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 3;  hfdcan2.Init.DataPrescaler = 5;  hfdcan2.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 9;  hfdcan2.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 10;  hfdcan2.Init.Da

In STM32L4Q5VGT6, GPIOx-> ASCR register is missing in reference manual of RM0432 Rev 9. ASCR  GPIO analog switch control register,   Address offset: 0x2C (GPIO_TypeDef)To enable the GPIO to ADC switch using the register ASCR is LL_GPIO_EnablePinAnalogControl is missing in STM32L4Q5VGT6. But it is STM32L475VGT6 ASCR register is available, why in STM32L4Q5VGT6 it is left out. Is it any alternate register available for the same purpose.

Hi all i'm implementing a serial communication between my evaluation board and my PCi managed to send data from my board and read it via PuTTY.but when i run HAL_UART_Receive_IT and send messages via PuTTY it doesnt trigger the "HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback" Functionim using NUCLEO H743ZI2and USART3 baud rate: 115200Interrupt is enabled for USART3This is my code (just the important stuff):Thanks! :)void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { char str[100]; strcpy(str, "hi hi\n\r"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t*)str, strlen(str), 1000); } int main(void) { char str[100]; strcpy(str, "hello hello\n\r"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t*)str, strlen(str), 1000); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart3, rx_data, 6); while (1){} }
