HelloI am using a Nucleo-F429 board and I was experimenting around FreeRtos.I tried to create osThread within another osThread in FreeRtos V1 but it seems that it is not calling the inside thread. When I change to FreeRtos V2, then the 2nd thread/task was called.Any reasons why ?Also, in V2, what should be the stack size of the parent thread ? Should it be bigger than the child thread ?

Hi,I have a quick question that I couldn't find the answer to.I accidentally detached ST-LINK part of the NUCLEO-L552ZE-Q board https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-l552ze-q.I would like to reconnect the MCU part with ST-LINK using its SWD CN5 connector, but I couldn't find the pinout of the MCU part. There is no such information in the manual https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2581-stm32l5-nucleo144-board-mb1361-stmicroelectronics.pdf.If it is necessary to solder the board, it is no problem for me, just need the proper SWD pinout.I can't wait for some hint or someone to show me that I'm just blind and this info is in the manual :)Thanks,PZdev

Anyone in STM have a datasheet for a P7C806 chip? Its part of a 2 wire bidirectional digital serial communications link, so may be a level shifter or line driver? Thanks.

Hi allI'm currently working on getting the SD Card Interface (SDMMC1) to run on my Nucleo U575 board. I'm adapting the Fx_uSD_File_Edit Example of the STM32U575I-EV board.I'm running into problems when it comes to opening the SD Card media. In fx_media_open.c, media_ptr -> fx_media_driver_status has a value of 144 (FX_IO_ERROR). I expect the value should set be back to 0 (FX_SUCCESS) in (media_ptr -> fx_media_driver_entry) (media_ptr) (at comment "/*Invoke the driver to read the boot sector.*/). In my case, it isn't reset to 0 but stays at 144 instead.Unfortunately I can't find the linked function to have a deeper look debugging. Could someone please assist and tell me where to find this function? Or maybe even telling me, what setting the error could be caused by :Dcheers

Is my assumption right? When you have code like this: *(hospi->pBuffPtr - 1) = SPI3->RXDR; and you set a breakpoint on this line (so that is stops before this instruction is executed),but you have the SFR page open, to see the registers of the peripheral device, here SPI3, including the content of "register" RXDR (which is a FIFO!):it "will" go wrong? What could (seems to) happen:the open SFR page reads also the register RXDRbut this is a FIFO!so, the debugger view "grabs" the data from the FIFO (and it looks correct what you see as data there)and when you continue: you do not get the same value from this register (FIFO): it was read already read (and removed from the FIFO) - your variable assignment "goes wrong"So, my conclusion would be:if you have code where it reads from a FIFOset the breakpoint ONLY after the read instruction (not before or at the instruction reading "also" from this FIFO register)Assume, that a debugger view (SFR page open and displaying the content

Hello community,my sths34pf80 is connected with a wireless MCU through I2C in fast mode. during the initial process the function " sths34pf80_presence_threshold_set(&presenceHandle, 200); " is called, sometimes there is no problem, the sths34pf80 can be successfully initialized, it can detect presence and motion.But it also happens oft: if the ctrl1.odr is 8, then it hangs by excuting sths34pf80_odr_safe_set(if ctrl.odr is 0, the initial will be successful.)int32_t sths34pf80_presence_threshold_set(const sths34pf80_ctx_t *ctx, uint16_t val){  sths34pf80_ctrl1_t ctrl1;  uint8_t odr;  uint8_t buff[2];  int32_t ret;  if ((val & 0x8000U) != 0x0U) {    /* threshold values are on 15 bits */    return -1;  }  /* Save current odr and enter PD mode */  ret = sths34pf80_read_reg(ctx, STHS34PF80_CTRL1, (uint8_t *)&ctrl1, 1);  odr = ctrl1.odr;  printf("threshold set...1:%d\n", odr);  ret += s

Hello all, I am using the STM32U5A5QJ in a project and I had a question about some of the wake-up modes. I would like the microcontroller to be in stop mode 3 most of the time until it receives an interrupt from a sensor to return to normal mode. The data sheet seems to specify two ways of doing this and I’m wondering which is correct or if both can be used. In Table 9. STM32U5Axxx modes overview it says the wake-up source for stop mode 3 is one of the 24 WKUPx I/O’s.There is also a section under Extended interrupt/event controller (EXTI) where it says “The EXTI wake-up requests allow the system to be woken up from Stop modes.” They both seem to say that they can be used to wake-up from stop mode, is this correct or should one be used over the other? Thanks for your help,

Please advise where I can find the device marking for TS4061AILT-1.225. I was expecting to find it in the datasheet but it doesn't appear to be in there. Maybe a more general question would be how does ST disseminate such information if not in the datasheet?

Hi,I am currently using NUCLEO-F429 for prototyping a medical product.I am facing an issue while configuring ADC DMA as shown in attached image.the address of DMABuff going in DMA register is different to the actual adress, hence i am not able to get proper data read out.The values in DMAbuff are not updates as expected. But if I hardcode the address the values are updated in DMAbuff

I am using STM32wl55jc1 nucleo board using subghz_phy_per application provided by "en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0 SDk" using FSK Trying to communicate with efr32fg23 silabs rf module withe same rf freq is this communication is possiable if yes recommend any configuratuons/applications. Thank You

Hello everyone,I will put the device on standby as part of my project. I set the GPIO Pin as SysWakeup1 pin. Can I reconfigure the pin that I configured as SysWakeup1 in the main.c file as external interrupt or gpio input? We can dynamically set GPIO as output when it is input, but is this valid in SysWakeup?

Hello ST Community,I am currently working on a project that involves the use of 2 LIR2450 Li-ion batteries. For the battery charging aspect, I am seeking recommendations for a suitable Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) charger from ST.Specifically, I would appreciate your guidance on the following:PMIC Charger Recommendation:Could you please recommend a PMIC charger that is suitable for charging 2 Li-ion cells in parallel, specifically LIR2450 batteries? I am looking for a device that provides efficient and safe charging for this configuration.Configuration Details:What configurations and settings are recommended for the chosen PMIC charger to ensure optimal charging performance for LIR2450 batteries? This includes voltage, current, termination criteria, and any other relevant parameters.Reference Design:If available, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share any reference designs or application notes related to a PMIC charger for a 2-cell Li-ion battery configuration s

Hello st community, I'm trying to use the BlueNRG-355 in deepstop mode without timer, to wake it up with an I/O. I used function from Power Save Modes project from the NavigatorHAL_PWR_MNGR_Request(POWER_SAVE_LEVEL_STOP_NOTIMER...);It does not enter any sleep mode, in the function, it jumps over this condition :/* BLE Stack allows to enable the power save */ if (BLE_STACK_SleepCheck() != POWER_SAVE_LEVEL_RUNNING)In the reference manual RM0479 5.4.2 :The conditions to enter the DEEPSTOP mode are:the radio (MR_BLE) is sleeping, the CPU is sleeping (WFI with SLEEPDEEP information active),no unmasked wakeup sources is active (including those from a previous wakeup sequence for which the software did not clear the associated flag after wakeup),the system is clocked on RC64MPLL (HSI or pll locked mode)the PWRC_CR1.LPMS bit is equal to 0Also tried to call__WFI(); WAKEUP->BLUE_SLEEP_REQUEST_MODE = WAKEUP_BLUE_SLEEP_REQUEST_MODE_FORCE_SLEEPING; LL_APB2_DisableClock(LL_APB2_PERIPH_MRBLE)

GreetingsI am trying to utilise the FIFO of the LIS2DW12, in bypass-continuous mode, which requires the latched-interrupt bit (LIR) in CTRL3 register to be set, as stated in the application note AN5038.In the ISR for the FIFO_FTH, I am reading the output registers, resetting the fifo by putting it into bypass mode, then putting it into bypass-continuous mode. The interrupt to trigger the chip is a wake-up event.I want to also utilise the inactivity/activity functionality of the accelerometer, allowing it to save power. This requires the LIR bit of CTRL3 register to be in a reset state. How does one propose I work around the contradiction of either setting the LIR bit or not?@Federica Bossi

Hey!I'm working on an STM32H563VITx MCU, and was trying to move some of the ram thats available to the non-secure part over to the secure section since I mostly want to use that, and while yes, I could try to leverage my code in such way that it uses both secure and non-secure sections, I would rather avoid that. However while configuring some of the banks over to the secure section I kept getting the error of "Missing Default Data Region for context CortexM33NS", to note I did look back at where the non-secure and secure parts should be and based their default place on that (i.e. looking at the linked list files and making sure that the given regions do start in the same place, just with different lengths), however that didn't really help.I am quite new to both changing memory sections around and using the new Memory Managment Tool (MMT) in the STM32CubeIDE so it might be obvious at hand but I couldn't find much info about it.I added some screenshots of how it currently looks, maybe it

Hi, I want to create a timer with retriggerable pulse of specified length. Now I know timer can do it, but there is an issue with one pulse retriggerable mode that needs to be from outside trigger otherwise it dont work. My application is specific and it needs retriggerable mode but internally not from external source. Now the simple solution would be give gpio to one of the sources and route it to that trigger pin and do that way, but the issue is PCBs are already manufactured and no changes can be made, so it is upto me to solve it in software now.  Is there any software solution I can do mimic this oneshot pulse timer ? I tried other methods with output compare and stuff but that does not work well.

Where can i find the pcb file or gerber file for the SPC584B-DISP, I have a short circuit on board and would like to trace and troubleshoot the board , but i need the hardware files to see where the traces goes to instead of manually looking for it .

Hi, I am planning to use stm32g030f6 and also use RTC peripheral with super cap to keep date. However, this IC does not have VBAT pin. Reading datasheet said, that RTC domain can also be supplied from VDD/VDDA pin, but this means that when a voltage supply interrupt, the mcu will not detect and it will start using super cap energy from VDD/VDDA pin, so, the purpose to target only rtc supply energy with super cap is compromised. Could you clarify if my assumption is correct, and how to achieve my design (super cap supplying energy to rtc when main voltage is down)?

Hello,I have a problem with a STM32U5G9J-DK2 :If I choose a project with FreeRTOS in GFX designer, I can upload the code in my board from GFX designer : it does work.If I open the project file with CubeMXIde, I can modifiy  and then upload the code in my board : it does work.If I choose a project with Azure RTOS ThreadX, I can upload the code in my board from GFX designer : it does work.ButIf I open the generated project with Azure RTOS ThreadX in CubeMXIde, when I build the project, I have some undefined references, even if I do no modification of the generated code : it does not work.It seems that I have a problem with the file HardwareMJPEGDecoder.hpp or .cpp but I am far to be certain.I would like to know if it is a well-know and easy problem to solve with this lack of informationor more information is necessary ? Thank youKind regardsDavid

I've conducted tests on the display driver code for initializing the screen on the Discovery board and successfully displayed images by assigning their data to the specified framebuffer. Now, I aim to integrate the display transfer into TouchGFX without relying on the code generated by the TouchGFX Designer, i have already installed the touchgfx package , configured the ltdc and the rgb ,spi pins ., any guidance regarding this ? thank you

The range of the default Slider of TouchGFX can be configured by a min and max integer. When the value has changed you can get a callback with the new value as an integer.Still when moving the slider it is possible to set the location of the indicator in between two values, and then you get a callback with an integer (not the in between value)Is it possible to force the indicator to the locations of the complete values?
