Hello,I am trying to communicate between two NUCLEO-F446ZE boards using the CAN protocol. To obtain this, I am basing myself on this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYgYN0IEoNc&ab_channel=ASKEDISON%2CDOIT), although my code is a little different. For some reason, I fail to transmit any data. I am using the HAL_CAN library and the STM32CubeIDE. When I run the debugger into the HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage() function, every step is executed properly, except for the last one: SET_BIT(hcan->Instance->sTxMailBox[transmitmailbox].TIR, CAN_TI0R_TXRQ);According to the Reference Manual (RM0390 Rev 6), "In order to transmit a message, the application must select one empty transmit mailbox, set up the identifier, the data length code (DLC) and the data before requesting the transmission by setting the corresponding TXRQ bit in the CAN_TIxR register."However, it fails to set this TXRQ bit. Why is this? Any suggestions are welcome!

Hi folks, I use latest STM32CubeIDE on Linux and noticed that build analyzer always updates "Memory Regions" tab for previous build configuration (whatever it was Debug or Release). No matter how many times I rebuild code in "Debug" configuration, the information is still provided for "Release".As soon as I switch project setup to "Release", it would show results for "Debug" after next build. Could anyone explain if Build Analyzer could do analysis of the last build instead of previous configuration? (or it's a bug in the tool) Cheers,Lex

Hi,  I am operating the Timer 1 in One Pulse Slave mode.Yet I want to trigger the timer using software, without other timers, ect, ect. Is this possible ? Thank you.

When powered with 3.6V (both AVDD and IOVDD), VL53L5CX does most of the time does not enter LP mode (via the I2C command). At 3.5V most of the time LP mode is entered correctly, and rarely - incorrectly. At 3.4V, LP mode is entered always correctly.According to the datasheet, all of these are valid combinations.Searching in the documentation so far does not explain the results.Could anybody shed some light on the subject (else, it will be needed to modify the hardware)?

After updating to versions described in title, STM32H750 ADC3 has only 4 input options. Temperature, VBat and Vref no longer available for selection

 I have tried following the examples in the reference manual and online, but am having issues!This is on STM32F030C8T6, on a custom PCB and connected to debugger over SWD:  void readProtect_lvl1(void){ //read protection is in effect on next power cycle while ((FLASH->SR & FLASH_SR_BSY) != 0) {} //wait for any ongoing flash operation to complete if ((FLASH->CR & FLASH_CR_LOCK) != 0) { FLASH->KEYR = 0x45670123UL; //magic number removes control register lock FLASH->KEYR = 0xCDEF89ABUL; //magic number removes control register lock } while ((FLASH->SR & FLASH_SR_BSY) != 0) {} //wait for flash operation to complete if ((FLASH->CR & FLASH_CR_OPTWRE) == 0) { FLASH->OPTKEYR = 0x45670123UL; //magic number sets option byte write access FLASH->OPTKEYR = 0xCDEF89ABUL; //magic number sets option byte write access } FLASH->CR |= FLASH_CR_OPTER; // must erase option byte first FLASH->CR |= FLASH_CR_STRT; //start flash again w

I integrated one open source software module into my project, but I found that there are a lot of warning about unused functions, so I tried to surpress that by adding "-Wunused-function" in CubeIDE, and found the configuration is correct by checking the subdir.mk. But the warning can still be seen in the compile result. I do not want to see the warning, how can that be done?  Subdir.mkarm-none-eabi-gcc "317.c" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DSTM32F401xE -DUSE_STM32F4XX_NUCLEO -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -c -I../../Inc -I../../../../../../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F4xx/Include -I../../../../../../../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../../../../../../../Drivers/BSP/STM32F4xx-Nucleo -I../../../../../../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -O0 -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -Wall -Wunused-function -fstack-usage -fcyclomatic-complexity -MMD -MP -MF"Example/PLC/317.d" -MT"Example/PLC/317.o" --specs=nano.specs -mfpu=fpv4-sp-d16 -mfloat-abi=hard -mthumb -o "Example/317.o" C

CubeIDE doesn't look for C++ files. Even worst, no matter that the main.c file has been marked for being excluded from the building, the tool always uses it.Although I started the project as a C++ one, the tool didn't generate the corresponding main.cpp file, so I did it by hand.Even worst (yes, things can get ugly pretty quickly) the IOC tool removes silently the "don't compile the main.c file because it's a C++ project" flag. What can I do? From the image below please note that the main.c file has been excluded but the compiler (right pane) is compiling it anyway. Also note that the file main.cpp isn't compiled. The functions MainApp() and Tick_IRQUserCallback() are located inside this file:

I have enabled the Discontinuous pwm and ran the motor but it started rotating in reverse direction compared to when none is enable. With no Discontinuous mode all features are validated, now i want to test all of them with Discontinuous mode enabled. Do i need to make any other changes?

Hello All,I am using the STM32L011K4 to control the PWM duty cycle through the use of the DMA.I have gone through my register initialization to ensure that the registers are being configured correctly and I have gone through and used the solution from this post: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/ll-dma-burst-to-a-timer-not-working-on-stm32h7/m-p/137972 to initialize my DMA first, despite this the system is not working.I have confirmed through the example code section and reading through the reference manual that the steps I am taking are indeed correct and nothing additional needs to happen. I think my mistake is something not configuring correctly despite me verifying the main settings outline the manual are verified and correct. Further, I have verified that if a PWM is initialized the correct signal is being produced on TIM Channel 3, but I am unable to change it.I am currently using the timer 2 burst registers to set the new duty cycles in CCR3. I have attached

Hey there , how can I find info to conect my STM32 with higher voltage devices , for digital inputs and outputs I have 24vcc and analogic inputs and outputs -10 to 10v, I want to conect they safely to not burn my chip.

Attempting to get USB CDC running on the CM4 core of a stock Nucleo-H745zi-q board. USB_CoreReset() times out waiting for a soft reset. Hello there,I know this is an old debate but since we are into production of a device using STM32G030F6 chips, we wanted to make sure the cheapest options are used while keeping them "original".The minimum price for the aforementioned MCU on ST e-store is $0.69 per 10k. While LCSC store provides them for $0.3 per 100 units.Yes! we know it's ridiculously cheap with a high chance of being fakes, but we wanted some kind of a confirmation from guys in the forums to make sure.1) Are they fakes?2) Is an item considered fake when its price is way lower than the price mentioned on ST store? Kind regards,Marzi

Hi,  Can I control the level of a GPIO Pin in software, if the GPIO Pin is in an Alternative function mode ?  For example, I have an application where I switch a MOSFET in Software, but I would like to use the Hardware or internal Silicon, and Software to turn the Pin on and Off, is this possible with the STM32G031 controllers ?.  Thanks

As in the title, i need to take the data coming from velodyne lidar vlp-16 through ethernet cable and save it to some usb pendrive or hard drive. I am using stm32f767zi. Data will be coming at about 20Mbit/s and i do not need to do anything with it, just save it. However, i am having trouble finding anything similar to this, and as i am a begginer i have no idea how to really start doing this, so i would very much apprecieate any help on the subject.

Hello,After having purchased a  B-L462E-CELL1 eval kit with pre-provisioned Truphone eSIM and having followed the UM2743 eSIM activation steps, I still don't see the eSIM marked as activated on the Truphone IoT Dashboard after one day.Truphone support contacted, but no efficient help as of now.Do you have any returns about such user experience concerning B-L462E-CELL1 and Truphone ?

STM32L051K8U6 The code always gets stuck hereThis situation is likely due to the slave not responding to the address, but with the same hardware, using software-simulated I2C communication works perfectly fine.I have already checked, the slave addresses sent out by both sets of code are the same.I2C has been enabled with a frequency of 200kHz,The pull-up resistor is 2.7kΩ.and the initialization code was generated by CubeMX. I don't think there should be any issues with this partThe software I2C partial code below#define I2C_SCL_Pin LL_GPIO_PIN_6 #define I2C_SDA_Pin LL_GPIO_PIN_7 #define VL_SDA_IN() LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, I2C_SDA_Pin, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT) #define VL_SDA_OUT() LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, I2C_SDA_Pin, LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT) #define I2C_SDA_SET LL_GPIO_SetOutputPin(GPIOB, I2C_SDA_Pin) #define I2C_SDA_CLR LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(GPIOB, I2C_SDA_Pin) #define I2C_SCL_SET LL_GPIO_SetOutputPin(GPIOB, I2C_SCL_Pin) #define I2C_SCL_CLR LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(GPIOB, I2C_SCL

Hi all,This should be a question with a simple answer, but for some reason, I cannot find clarification. I am trying to use the Finite State Machine in the LSM6DSOX, and I have come across these examples below in this application note:I'm confused on how to determine the THRESH1 values that are in the programs above. From what I read, the FSM uses the same linear acceleration sensitivity value as is output to the host MCU. As an example, my understanding is that I would take 3C66 (from program 2) as the number of LSBs, multiply that by the linear acceleration sensitivity value (i.e. 0.061 mg/LSB for FS = +-2g) and then that would be how you get the 1.100g that is in parenthesis. Doing the actual math with the different linear acceleration sensitivities for the different FS values, I don't find any of them equating the 1.100g.I can't find any other information on how to convert the desired acceleration value in gs to the values provided to the FSM THRESH1 like is shown in the above

Good morning everyone, I was given a STM32F779I-EVAL board as a gift, I am unable to configure all the peripherals installed on the board via CubeMX. For example, I can't turn on the display or configure the ETH port.Where can I find examples to understand how to make the most of this suburb. thank you all

HeyLSM6DSV16B is sold as an accelerometer unit that can be used to record vibrations as an audio signal. The datasheet mentions that this audio signal can be placed on the TDM interface, but I doesn't really say how.Does anyone have experience with this product? Is there already a code library for using this device for audio?

Hi, I am new to ST evaluation board. I am trying to connect STEVAL-SPIN3204 board to a windows 10, and it is not working. In more details: The board is working with stsw-link007 (ST-LinkUpgrade) and loads the recent driver version (V2J43M28). The USB connects to Windows as Drive D with details.txt file.I loaded en.stsw-link009 drivers (64 bits) and updated the com port (STMicroelectronics STLink Virtual COM Port (COM3)) driver to version 2.2.0.0 dated 4/1/2021. The COM port hardware Ids are USB\VID_0483PID_374B&REV_000&MI_02 and USB\VID_0483PID_374B&MI_02.The COM port is configured for 115200 baud, 8 bits, not parity, 1 stop bit. However, when it is connected to the ST Motor Pilot V.1.2.5 that came with Motor Pilot 6.2.1 - it is not working and the board remains disconnected. Discover Board fails with the following message:[INFO] - : Application is starting : MotorPilot version:1.2.5[INFO] - : ini file path=C:/Users/Ran/AppData/Roaming/ST Microelectronics/

Hi,Today I've been working on software on the SPC560P discovery board and found that my board got struck at a specific line of the code, and when I tried with other code, the results were the same.Code struck in this specific line: * Waits for the mode switch or an error condition. *  while (ME.IS.R == 0U){   ; Please help me to fix it. Thanks in advance.
