Hi,I think I may have found an error. When generating a project for STM32L412K8TX (not a board) the default linker file define a RAM LENGTH of 40K.The STM32L412K8TX have 40K divided in two parts, 32K in RAM1 (0x20000000) and 8K in RAM2 (0x10000000).Package STM32L4 version 1.17.2CubeMX version 6.8.1Here is the header generated, also wrong:** @brief : Linker script for STM32L412K8Tx Device from STM32L4 series** 64Kbytes FLASH** 40Kbytes RAM** 8Kbytes RAM2 "SRAM1_SIZE_MAX" in stm32l412xx.h is ok, with a value of 0x8000. Have a good day !

Hello!I need to be able to enable and disable touch screen from my GUI application. I don't want to cut the power to the touchscreen.I want my handle click functions on multiple screens to not to respond to touch events for some time after certain point of time or another event. So I imagine a function in Model class that would somehow enable and disable touch events. How can I achieve that the best way?I guess it is not a good idea to have a flag in touchController (if the flag is set, return false from sampleTouch...)Thank you.

Hi,In this example,  https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32CubeMonitor:How_to_start_with_STM32_Wireless_Long_Range_demothere is a demo of one concentrator, and up to 15 sensors. How to perform the communication between one concentrator and up to 30 sensors in a local LoRa network concentrator setup, without LoRaWAN like the example shown in the link? What changes are to be done in the STM32WL55 local concentrator example code ? Please suggest. Thank you.

Hi Sir/Madam, I am working with I2C in x-nucleo-nfc07a1 where ST25DV IC incorporated interfaced with Nucleo-WB55 board, what is the slave address(device address) for this?I am firmware engineer, I have I2C Scanning program wherePreviously, I work with Temp sensor, the scanning code gives me slave address as 0x4a,I also work the following,Heart rate sensor in which it is 0x57PN532 NFC reader in which it shows 0x24And right now I work with X-Nucleo-NFC07A1 in which ST25DV64KC is incorporated, here the scanning code shows none. I want to know, why it is not? and how to deal with i2c communication to store data in EEPROM? HAL_I2c functions deals with 5 parameters, DevAddr, TargetAddr, Data Buffer, No.of.Bytes req, delay, out of which DevAddr what we can use?In the datasheet of ST25DV64KC, Table 89 Device select code and Table 91 I2C CFG are confusing with the bit assignment. I also attach the respective datasheet for your reference.Best Regards,Bhuvaneswaran T

In TouchGFX(4.22.0)，I want to implement a curve similar to the following imageActually it is an SVG image, is it possible to change its path and gradient color using a program in TouchGFX? What I mean is not using ‘SVG Image’, but simply using a programmatic approach(the path may not be so complicated).  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator 23.1.0, SVG Export Plug-In . Hi I am looking for the top side park marking of component M24C08-FMH6TG.Is this something I should be able to locate myself? I checked the datasheet and engineering notes for the package type.Thank you so much.-Ben

Hello, I think there's a bug in CubeIDE when working with a Nucleo-H563ZI. Steps to reproduce it:- create new project, clear pinouts- enable USART3 in async mode, PB10 and PC4 pins are assigned (why not PD8 and PD9? don't understand)- ctrl+click on PB10 and PC4 and move them to PD8 and PD9 (to get console output to ST-LINK vcp)- auto configure clock, save and let IDE generate code- close IOC file and open it again, USART3 is disabled and no pins are assigned As a bonus, same thing happens when assigning PC13 (blue btn) as a GPIO_EXTI (or GPIO_Input, etc.), it vanishes when closing IOC file. When choosing a "normal" pin, all is good. It is very annoying - maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I am not a hardware tech, but am familiar with some bit-fiddly work in software.  Still, I am new to modern firmware development, and could likely use a pointing finger.I've been tasked to write firmware with these two components. The board is built, and I have a schematic for it.Using STM32CubeIDE, I've connected the pins according to what I see in the schematic.I also set up LWIP and FreeRTOS, in an effort to reduce much of the bit twiddling down to a more familiar environment for myself... again, using the STM32CubeIDE Pinout and Configuration tool.  I enabled DHCP, to get this to fetch its own IP address, but that's about it.  If it helps, I'm using version 1.14.1 of STM32CubeIDE.As mentioned in the subject header, the MCU is an STM32F107VC chip, and the ethernet component is actually a 3-port switch (the KSZ8863FLL).  I can control this over an MII interface.I also have an STLink/V2 programmer-debugger, which allows me to step in the code... a rather valuable fe

hi all,  i am using STM32U585 controller which is having a internal UCPD controller.my requirement is to create a module which can act as host and device using USB type C. i am taking the hardware connection as same as stm32U585 eval board(and adding a external crystal for the host part) since it is supporting both host as well as peripheral role. is there any specific code or documents available for the USB DRD/OTG implementation using TYPE C. all i can find the independent host and peripheral examples from ST. my actual requirement is : host: USB MSC when the module connected with flash drive it will work as mass storage (source the power) device: USB CDC ACM when module connected with the PC it is work as VCP terminal and (sink the power)   I implemented the code for host and device code independently , the problem is where we changing the roles and power delivery.  I am planning to implement the same schematic as in B-U585I-IOT02A which is using a exter

Affected driver library: STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.2.0File: stm32u585xx.hThe definition of CRS_CR_TRIM_Msk is wrong.Currently it is:#define CRS_CR_TRIM_Msk (0x3FUL << CRS_CR_TRIM_Pos) /*!< 0x00003F00 */But instead it should be:#define CRS_CR_TRIM_Msk (0x7FUL << CRS_CR_TRIM_Pos) /*!< 0x00007F00 */(The TRIM field has seven bits, not six)

I've noticed that the frequencies written in the reference manual are different from the ones used in the HAL.Is there a good reason they are different? Which ones are correct?I attached a screenshot from page 407 of the reference manual.https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0456-stm32u5-series-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdfAnd a screenshot from github stm32u5 HAL stm32u5xx_ll_utils.cThank you

Hi, Is it possible to run on the M7 core a piece of program (subroutine call - no input, no output parameters) written, compiled and loaded for the M4 core (i.e. to have global access to program code)? Best

Hi,please anyone could help me out how to resolve the issue regarding the ST-link upgrade. when i am trying to upgrade it is throwing an error "ST-link not in DFU mode. please restart it".I am facing this issue after updating both STM32cube IDE and STM32CubeMX to the latest versions.   Thank you,Deekshitha

What is the camera protocol used by STM32F7508-DK?MIPI or DVPWhich cameras does STM32F7508-DK module support?

Hi, everyone.I recently bought a STM32H750B-DK devboard to try and learn to program microcontrollers. I'm beginning to think I should have started with something simpler...I tried following the "getting started with STM32" tutorial from the wiki. SO, I installed the STMCubeMX, STMCUBEIDE and STMCubeProgrammer as instructed. It seemed to be aimed at the L4 series, so of course I swapped out that for the H7 embedded software packages. This let me load up some demo software packages. I started with LTDC_Paint. Loaded, Built, and tried to write to the board. The first attempt failed, but I discovered I needed to get an external loader to put the code onto the external memory. I selected the MT25TL01G_STM32H750B-DISCO since that was the closest match to my board. This allowed the debugger to apparently write the code to my board. The result: a blank white screen. I tried building and rewriting the TouchGFX example program (I have a feeling this is what came pre-installed on the board given th

There are a couple of minor issues running Cube IDE 1.13.2 on the latest macOSFirst the "splash" screen during startup gets displayed upside down.Secondly the app appears as "NewApplication" in the menu bar.See this video.

Currently, I'm using CR95HF on our product which went into mass production already.  The tag is small with diameter only 9mm.  In the field, we are seeing a few percentage of unsuccessful read from the first read and need to retry several times.  How can we increase reading distance?  Is it possible to boost the transmit power from the reader chip? The tag has NTAG213 on it.  Our reader antenna is in octagon shape.

Hi STI am using STM32CubeMX v6.10.0 with selected MCU STM32H563ZITx.When configuring FDCAN1 I may have found a bug in the tool. The below two Nominal Time Seg1 and Seg2 say that the lowest value is "2" and the tool is limiting setting it to "1" which I think is a valid setting. The RM0481 Rev 1 says that the minimum value that is interpreted by the hardware of that value is "1" (when register segment is set to "0")Can someone please verify my findings?BrImre

I want the user to hold a button for at least 3 seconds before it triggers its interaction. So I created a Repeat Button, because the documentation says on delay: "Delay specifies the time (ms) to wait when the button is pressed before starting the loop of triggers."But when I configure a delay of e.g. 2000 ms and an interval time of 8000 ms, it triggers immediately and then after 2 seconds (and then every 8 seconds). Is this misleading in the documentation or a wrong behavior of the button?

I am using STM32L4R, the VBAT pin is powered by 3.6V +/- 2% & VDD is powered by 3.3V +/- 2%.I think it is okay to have VBATT as 3.67V_max since it is still less than Absolute Max limit of 4V.I think it is okay to have VBAT pin & VDD pin at different voltage level since at a time either one of these is selected to power RTC. Also, the voltage rating mentioned in electrical specification is in absolute terms (not relative to VDD).Please confirm if my understanding is correct.

We are an industrial automation company from Suzhou, China, and we want to develop an IO-Link device product recently. We want to adopt the STEVAL-IDP003V1 + TeConcept solution. But I don't know how to get this support, such as how to buy the STEVAL-IDP003V1 kit? How to buy TeConcept device stack and debugging tools?

Hi,    Good morning, everyone. I'm new to IOT. So, I need your help for how to connect and use STM32L4S5VIT6 and AWS from the scratch. Could you please help me. Demo video or any sample code and share any related document for understanding purpose it is very helpful for us.

I am using STM32CubeIDE v1.13.2. When setting oversampling for ADC3 on STM32H723, the ratio value is incorrectly generated to exactly the number that is typed in the GUI:  hadc3.Init.Oversampling.Ratio = 32; which is then on lines 725-735 in stm32h7xx_hal_adc.c written directly to the CFGR2 register: MODIFY_REG(hadc->Instance->CFGR2, ADC_CFGR2_OVSR | ADC_CFGR2_OVSS | ADC_CFGR2_TROVS | ADC_CFGR2_ROVSM, ADC_CFGR2_ROVSE | hadc->Init.Oversampling.Ratio | hadc->Init.Oversampling.RightBitShift | hadc->Init.Oversampling.TriggeredMode | hadc->Init.Oversampling.OversamplingStopReset ); however, for oversampling on ADC3, there is this mapping for the values:000: 2x001: 4x010: 8x011: 16x100: 32x101: 64x110: 128x111: 256xBy pure chance, this works correctly for values 2, 4 and 8 (as OVSR is offset by 2 in CFGR2). Higher values are of course broken. The generated value should probably be from the ADC_HAL_EC_OVS_RATIO. As this is different from ADC1 and ADC2

Hi, as advertisedof course , but no : - no UART4 as the datasheet , page 14/200 (false because UFQFPN48 has 4 more pins than LQFP48 ?)- no UART4 as CubeMx : PC10 and PC11 are present , but no UART4I have got a STM32G431CBU6 from an chinese board maker , nice board with amazing MCU tried UART4 as STM32duino's Serial4 : it works , so USART4 is present , officially or not ...(didn't try the handshaking lines)

I'm trying to get a L452 to bring up a VCP under ThreadX/USBx, so I followed the instructions in:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-implement-the-usb-device-cdc-vcom-in-stm32-using-the/tac-p/629402#M738It seemed pretty straight forward, it compiles, runs, creates the read and write threads, the main thread exits appropriately, but the USB device never enumerates on the bus.Just to make sure that my board works (Nucleo with a USB-B connector wired into PA11/12, ground, and +5), I can put the processor into bootload, it comes up as a USB BOOTLOADER, and I can use CubeProg to push code. So the physical connection is okay.I must be missing something. Is there something weird with the L4 that needs code tweaking? Can you please take a look?I've attached the project below.
