Hello, I am new to TouchGFX. I am developping an UI forSTM32F746G-DISCOVERY board. The goal of my UI is that the user can choose some value of variables and then send it to an other device using CAN bus. All the graphical part is working well, I use three screens and model to acces the variables from all the screens. However, when I want to use the CAN, I face some issues. CAN driver have been made by my teamworker. I wanted to include the CAN driver file to the Model.cpp but I have includes errors. So I tried to include the stm32f7xx_hal_can.h provided by the project but it doesn't work.Any idea for including the CAN driver? Maybe I should not include it in the main.cpp.Thank youLucasCompilation error message:Converting imagesCompiling gui/src/model/Model.cppIn file included from gui/src/model/../../../../Drivers/STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f7xx_hal_can.h:45:0,                from gui/src/model/Model.cpp

From what I understand, a STM32L433RCT3 MCU powered by VBAT pin will shutdown except for RTC and backup registers.1. I'm wondering if the RTC Alarms can trigger during the VBAT period?2. Will any code execute from the RTC Alarm interrupt during VBAT? Will the interrupt run when VDD is reapplied to the system?

Hello everyone, iam using nucleo-U575ZI-Q board and trying to do Flash programming. I want to write the data in to the flash and read the data from the flash. I've written the code but something is going wrong with it. Could someone please help me in finishing my task. I will attach my code below.  Thank you

Hello everyone,After several hours of searching, I haven't found a working example of an electronic schematic for interfacing a USB OTG port with an STM32 F7.Furthermore, the documentation provided "AN4869 Rev6" by ST is not clear enough to produce a schematic. With the help of various links and documents I have tried to produce a schematic:- https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/problem-with-usb-otg-in-host-mode-no-host-user-class-active/td-p/572407 - https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/problem-with-usb-otg-fs-device/td-p/622824 - NUCLEO-144pins_Altium_Schematics-Layout : MB1137.pdf : page 4- https://controllerstech.com/usb-cdc-device-and-host-in-stm32/ - AN4869 Rev6The basis comes from AN4869 page 16:My schematic (2 PCBs linked by a small MOLEX type cable in blue):In general I would like to know if this schematic is functional and correct.More precisely:- C24 = 4.7uF but it says "MAX". Is it more appropriate to use 1uF?- Certain example adds a 1.5k

If I am trying to use INT1 to indicate a "data-ready" event, does that result in a Low to High transition on the INT1 pin? Or a High to Low transition on the INT1 pin?  Does the line stay high indefinitely, until the data is read? What happens when new data overwrites the old data? Does the INT1 line change state, and then back again?

Dear all, I need to know : 1.MTBF(Mean time between failure)2.Longevity.3.Shelf life or storage life. For component: STM32F446RET6I already try a online support, but the site show me “we can’t save this record ”.Can anybody help me?

I have set up the FDCAN and confirmed that sending single messages works. However, I cannot get the FIFO to work at all - if I queue two messages at the same time, only the first appears on the wire. It is fine if I add a 1ms delay before sending the second message. I guess this works because the first message is long gone rather than still active. Rather than dig into the HAL code, I created an external queue to feed messages in one at a time. The idea is to call HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ() to set up the next message when I get a TX interrupt. I can receive the FDCAN_IT_TX_FIFO_EMPTY interrupt which calls TxFifoEmptyCallback(). Calling HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ() from here has the same problem - the second message is not sent. I have also tried to receive the FDCAN_IT_TX_COMPLETE interrupt but have been completely unable to get the implementation to call TxBufferCompleteCallback(). My interrupt activation code is    &

Hi everyone,I am currently working on a PCB design using a Bluenrg-332ac chip. The official PCB design guideline has a resistor marked "X" as shown on the left of the figure below. But I saw the resistor soldered on the eval board. Can anyone explain whether we keep the resistor or not in the PCB design?Reference files: AN5526  STEVAL-IDB012V1

How consistent is the LSM6 sampling clock? I didn't see any details regarding clock variation at different temperatures, etc in the manual. However, I may have missed it.

I just saw this. It's from STM32MP157 discovery board.Notice that DQ9 is attached to E3.This schematic is the RAM DDR memory: They are connected correctly. The index of DQU2 is the 10:th index of DQ, also DQ10. But the naming of the net labels seems to be wrong. This picture is the footprint of the RAM DDR memory. But here is where things getting werid.Noticie that E3 was DDR_DQ9, but it was actually DQ0 according to the datasheet. The same for DDR_DQ5, it was DQ10.Here is the microprocessor STM32MP157. Notice that they are not correctly indexed. My question is: Why? Why will this work according to the schematic designers? This schematic is the symbol of the STM32MP157 processor.

Hi all,I recently got a Nucleo STM32H563ZI board to start doing development with the STM32H5x family of microcontrollers but I'm having issues trying to setup a debug session in VSCode. I've download the STM32 OpenOCD version and compiled it as it seems to have support for STM32h5x. Has anyone successfully launched a debug session in VSCode? I'm using Cortex-Debug and have tried different configurations with openocd but no luck. Thanks!martin

I am currently experiencing an issue with my STM32H7B3I-DK board. The BOOT0 pin on the board is not externally accessible, which has been causing some difficulties to me.Additionally, I’ve noticed a low and unstable voltage to the board. When monitoring the target voltage in CubeProgrammer, it fluctuates between 0V, 0.22V, and 0.35V what caused I think the faulty red led LD7 to lit up and the green led LD5 to lit poorly. This instability could potentially be contributing to the issues I’m facing, as I am no longer able to connect to the board through ST-LINK, I get No STM32 Target Found.   The issue suddenly occurred while I was wiring some cables to the board. I am unsure whether a short circuit might have occurred during this process or due to a misconfiguration from the uploaded code.In an attempt to resolve the issue, I tried to strap the NRST pin to ground and perform full chip erase in CubeProgrammer but I couldn't manage to achieve the perfect timing. However, these ef

Hi all,I got my hands on a quadrature encoder for the first time, and I am trying to interface it with my STM32H755 Nucleo board through the timer in encoder mode. The issue is that the interrupt is getting triggered (in the "HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback" function), but the timer counter is not incrementing. Any potential leads?

Hello. I have plans to implement a motor encoder interface circuit using this micro controller. According to its datasheet, the timer implementation considers TIM1 ~ TIM4. My question is: which pins can I assign to implement a motor encoder circuit for high resolution (1024PPR) encoder? The encoder has 2 output pins (A and -A).   Thank you in advance.

Dear ST Community,I'm currently working on STM32F091RC using STM32Cube IDE, and I've encountered an issue with handling UART receive interrupts for variable-length data. Currently, I have set a fixed length of 5 bytes for the data, and the UART communication is functioning properly. However, I now require the flexibility to receive data of varying lengths, such as 1 byte, 5 bytes, and so on.Despite my attempts to modify the code to accommodate variable-length data reception, the UART doesn't seem to work reliably. I believe I might be missing something crucial in my implementation.Could someone please provide guidance, code snippets, or any possible solutions to efficiently handle variable-length UART receive interrupts for the STM32F091RC?Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Santhosh

Hello ST community,I'm currently working on a circuit utilizing an ATS240C-E Crystal with a 22pF capacitor for an STM32 microcontroller. I'm curious about the necessity and implications of including a Rext resistor in the output of the crystal oscillator. Could anyone shed light on whether the Rext resistor is necessary for STM32 microcontrollers? Furthermore, I'd like to understand how its presence or absence affects the performance, stability, and functionality of the oscillator, particularly in noisy and EMI conditions. If anyone has insights or experiences to share regarding this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.Thank you in advance for your assistance.

HiIs there any info available regarding source sink current of analog comparators on the STM32G4 series. The datasheet doesn't contain any info on this although the drive current of Opamps is mentioned as 500uA.TIA

In the Datasheet it says:"The VREF+ pin is double-bonded with VDDA on some packages. In these packages theinternal voltage reference buffer is not available."Does this implicitly mean all packages which do not explicitly have a VREF+ pin can not use this peripheral or are there some inbetweens (which ones) which can use internal references, just not external ones?I'm especially surprised that even the high pin count WLCSP variant does not have such a pinout, so the smallest package to even use that (imo very useful) feature would be a "huge" 7x7mm BGA Chip.

Some STM32H7 MCUs have I2S capability on SPI6, but the HAL does not define "SPI_SPI6I2S_SUPPORT" for all of them. The ones with the missing define gets the prescaler computed wrong if the clock for SPI123 and SPI6 is different. Has HAL support:H7B3H7B0H7A3 Has capability but missing HAL support:H735H733H730H725H723 Manually adding the define fixes the issue, the prescaler is calculated correctly and the expected clock frequency is sent to the I2S pins.

Hello, i use STM32CubeProgrammer for flashing devices with .hex files, but after the update from version v2.11.0 to latest v2.15.0 the downloading doesn't work (it also doesn't work with 2.14.0). The .bin download works fine in both versions.  The MCU that I use is STM32G483.The message from log is:12:02:17:022 : erasing sector 0027 @: 0x0800d800 done12:02:17:022 : sending a page erase request @: 0x0800e00012:02:17:039 : erasing sector 0028 @: 0x0800e000 done12:02:17:039 : erase: 0675ms12:02:17:039 : Erasing Segment <1> Address <0x0801DFE0> Size <2>Bytes12:02:17:039 : Erasing memory corresponding to segment 1:12:02:17:039 : Error: Sector size: 0x00000002 Bytes is out of range12:02:17:070 : Error: failed to erase memoryThe problem is with two last bytes in the hex file (these bytes store the firmware version). Hello.I am developing a system using STM32H7A3LIH6Q with CubeIDE.I use the SDRAM with IS42S16800J-6BLI,I am trying to use the BSP in the firmware package STM32Cude FW_H7 V1.10.0 as it is the same as STM32H7B3I-DK.I have a question here.In stm32h7b3i_discovery_sdram.h of Driver-BSP-STM32H7B3I-DK in STM32Cude FW_H7 V1.10.0, it is defined with SDRAM_DEVICE_SIZE 0x800000.Is there a reason why it should be 0x1000000 since the "IS42S16800J-6BLI" is 128Mbits?

i tried to configure clock by writing code in its appropriate registers...following is the clock configuration function void SystemClockConfig(void){    #define PLLN  16 //using external clock sourceRCC->CR |= RCC_CR_HSEON;while(!(RCC->CR & RCC_CR_HSERDY));//enabling power interfaceRCC->APBENR1 |= RCC_APBENR1_PWREN;//configuring voltage regulator to default 01PWR->CR1 |= (0x1UL << PWR_CR1_VOS_Pos);PWR->CR1 &= ~(0x2UL << PWR_CR1_VOS_Pos);//                  //configure flash prefetch and latencyFLASH->ACR |= (FLASH_ACR_ICEN | FLASH_ACR_PRFTEN | FLASH_ACR_LATENCY_1);//configuring prescalers for main clock and peripheral clocksRCC->CFGR |= (RCC_CFGR_HPRE_0 | RCC_CFGR_PPRE_0);//configure main PLL; PLLM, PLLN, PLLRRCC->PLLCFGR |= ((PLLN<<8) | (RCC_PLLCFGR_PLLSRC));//      RCC->PLLCFGR &= ~RCC_PLLCFGR_PLLM;RCC->PLLCFGR |= RCC_PLLCFGR_PLLRE

when i create this program everything is ok until step7. however i cant pass step 7and window is below.

HiCurrently we are developing a project based on the STM32H723.The project is a platform for different derivates. It uses as well Azure RTOS.We used STM32CubeMX to generate reference code. But at the end we modified the generated code and organized ourself the project and folder structure. It is well integrated in the STM32CubeIDE.Until now we had no graphical interface. But for a new project we need this.I have already good experience with TouchGFX itself on a NUCLEO Board (STM32H723) with a SPI interface to the display. But not with the integration to another project.Right now we are trying to include somehow a simple TouchGFX project into our existing project. There is nice explication on the web how to integrate the existing TouchGFX projecthttps://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/working-with-touchgfx/using-ides-with-touchgfxI followed the instructions. But I get an error when compiling the project.I included the necessary files into the project and added also the i
