Hello,I am facing an issue when I run code in stm32f407. I am using STMCubeIDE in Mcbook pro m3 chip. Furthermore, I tried with different USB-C to USB -A adapters.  I can see the stm32f407 mounted. But, Jlink could not be connected.USB-C to USB-A Adapter from ISY:

Right now packaging of widgets is only possible through TouchGFX (by clicking export) and I would like to create a package through the command line.I found the tpkg file format extracts like a zip file, but zipping it again and renaming leads to error when importing it into TouchGFX:Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.I used Linux zipinfo utility to compare my zip file to the package. I tried to make them as close as possible by not adding file comments(these are optional zip attributes) and by having the file order the same. The only differences I could find was "non-MSDOS external file attributes" which is set to 0 in the tpkg file, the path separators (the tpkg file uses inconsistent path separators combining windows and linux separators ) and slightly varying compression ratios and file dates. Even a binary comparison of the files did not show large differences.I also looked up http://tpkg.github.io/ . But it appears this tool is no longer maintained and I w

Hello,TLRD: I cannot connect to a STM32H747I-DISCO board using my Mac/M3.my setup is a MBP with M3 (Apple Silincon) and  MacOS Sonoma 14.4. Installed latest release of STM32CubeProgrammer and bought a STM32H747I-DISCO dev board. Connecting through a USB-C to Micro USB cable on default port CN2 (labeled STLINK-V3E USB connector) and verified that the Jp6 Jumper is set correctly to STlk.Checked on system preferences that there is a STLink under the USB tree of MacOS.The board lights up and the connect led flashes then stays green. The powe led below stays green. Nothing shows up on the touch screen.Upon launching STM32Connector I cannot connect to the board with buttons. I've tried upgrading the firmware with the corresponding button/modal dialog.Sometimes (after plugging and unplugging the USB cable) the system detects the firmware SN (it's a long string of numbers) and gives the option to update, but then fails. In the meantime the ST_Link configuration panel shows a Ser

I am using the FDCAN module on STM32H753 to send messages. The message ID is always the same: 0x7DF. So I create a static Tx header:  static FDCAN_TxHeaderTypeDef txHeader = { .Identifier = 0x07DF, .IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID, .TxFrameType = FDCAN_DATA_FRAME, .DataLength = 8, .ErrorStateIndicator = FDCAN_ESI_ACTIVE, .BitRateSwitch = FDCAN_BRS_OFF, .FDFormat = FDCAN_CLASSIC_CAN, .TxEventFifoControl = FDCAN_NO_TX_EVENTS, .MessageMarker = 0 };   and send the message with  HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ(&hfdcan1, &txHeader, txData);  Next message is sent from HAL_FDCAN_RxFifo0Callback ISR after processing the response to the previous message. This works fine for some time (~1h), then suddenly, the MCU starts sending messages with ID=0x7FF instead of 0x7DF. I see this on a scope and on the reception side, while the debug log shows that the Identifier field in txHeader is still equal to 0x7DF. Once this occurs, it stays like that for an hour

Hi, Working with the latest version (4.23.0) for some time now. Luckily for now I have the generated code tracked in git. When generating the code using TouchGFX Designer, I notice that sometimes some interactions of my custom containers are not generated. For now it is always related to the triggers of the Custom container that are used on my views (that use the custom container). The callback method (for the trigger) on the view is missing (in the ...ViewBase.cpp file): finished.setButtonClickedCallback(buttonClickedCallback);  Often only after I open the related view in the designer and then regenerate the code, this missing callback method is added to the generated code. Does anyone else have the same issue?First it was only for one specific callback, but today I see three missing callbacks..Very interested to the cause of this issue, so I can choose how to work around it until the next release- Project too big for the generator?- Too many interactions on a singl

I’m using the STM32H750B-DK board to explore FD CAN integration with TouchGFX and have encountered an unusual error. When debugging, the screen begins to tear and fails to display any of the TouchGFX visuals. However, when I compile and run the program, it encounters no errors but again fails to display anything, although it doesn’t exhibit screen tearing. When the program is run in simulation mode, it displays and acts as expected with all the TouchGFX visuals working correctly. What could be the source of this issue, and are there any potential workarounds? Included below are the main.c and screenshot of the ioc.

Hi, We are using STM32WB5MMGH6TR pre-certified module on our product. Our certification parnter insisted that we should perform tests under EN300 328 even though the module is RF tested and there is no RF design on the product side.  We tried to use STMCubeMonitor with an STLinkV3 connected to our PCB via UART and we were able to get the transparent mode firmare to run. However the RX RF test house claimed the test has failed (while TX has passed). They shared the attached test result.I want to know:a) Is it true we need to test for EN300 328 even when using the pre-certified module? Does ST provide  EN300 328 test reports?b) What can possibly cause a fail on our hardware? This test is running with ST provided SW image ans stack so our application SW is irrelevantc) Is the test valid when there is a laptop with an STLink in the chamber? How can this test be performed , the regulation describes connecting directly to the antenna which is not accessible&nbsp

Does STM32-WB55 MCU work without USB dongle? Where can i find the quick start program for led blinking ?

Hello ST community, I am trying to send values from ADC through USB using "CDC_Transmit_FS()"The code works well but my goal is to transmit ADC values faster! (I have no option to use High Speed USB transmission mode.)The ADC values in the adcbuff are 4 digits integer and "\n" is appended to distinguish each value at the receiving side.e.g) txbuff[] = {'1', '1', '1', '1','\n','2', '2', '2', '2','\n' ... '9', '9', '9', '9','\n'};Is there any better or direct method to send ADC values through USB instead of converting int values to string? Thanks in advance!uint32_t adcbuff[sample];char txbuff[sample*5];char tempbuff[10];while(1){  HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2,(uint32_t*)adcbuff, sample);  for(i = 0; i < sample; i++)  {   sprintf (tempbuff, "%d\n", ((adcbuff[i] * 5000) / 0xFFFF)-2000);    strcat( txbuff,tempbuff);  }       CDC_Transmit_FS( (uint8_t*)txbuff, strlen(txbuff))

Hello everyone, I'm using classical CAN bus mode on Nucleo-H755ZI dual chip (this board only support CAN FD), I chose CAN FD at Classical mode.I want to ask about hardware, may I use the external module CAN transceiver MCP2551 for classic CAN bus or I must to use module MCP2562FD of CAN FD?Note: I just need classical CAN bus on STM32 dual core, not CAN FD.

I know this might be a pretty basic thing to have issues with, but after banging my head against the wall on this for days, your snark-free assistance would be greatly appreciated.I am using a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and trying to get timer 2 channel 1 to provide a pulse output. I cannot seem to even get the timer counting. Here is my code, please tell me what important thing I'm missing here. /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * **************************************************************************

Hi,I'm trying to integrate MCUBoot into an existing STM32CubeIDE project. As I wasn't sure where to start, I've found an example in STM32CubeIDE for NUCLEO-H563ZI.After generating the project, I've tried building it but I've got errors related to missing "common.h" header in most of source files under Middlewares/mbed-crypto/*. Is this an overlook in example code or am I supposed to add it?Then I've tried adding blank "common.h" file just to resolve these errors which worked but then I'm getting a lot of "undefined reference to mbedtls_*" functions. I've attached full build logs.Same questions as above, am I supposed to provide these functions or there's missing sources in example?BR,Marin

Dear All,   I have been working on communicating with LCD module by 3 wire, 9bits SPI. Firstly I implemented it by gpio. I can communicated with LCD module by 3 wire, 9bits SPI. But we encounter problem in total time in sending pixel data by SPI. We're using 320X240 LCD. It takes around 18 seconds to transfer all pixel data to LCD module. Therefore I need to find another way to reduce time in communicating with LCD module. We think that SPI driver will be faster than using GPIO. But I wonder how to send each data in 9 bits. If anyone have experience about SPI 9 bits, please advise.

Hello everyone I am looking into the STPM33/34. I only want to use 1 SPI bus for both ICs and select it with the SCS. In the datasheet I cannot see whether the MISO goes into tristate when the IC in question is not active. I also cannot see any information about the galvanic isolation/barrier. Can anyone give me information about this.Thank you in advance.

Fresh Windows 11 install, fresh TouchGFX install. Started up fine, until I tried to open one of the sample projects. Now the tool won't start at all, and I just get a dialog "Failed to load native freetype library / Could not open file".I did find: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/touchgfx-crashes-on-project-creation/td-p/578159Unclear exactly what was the suggestion. Someone said "install a newer version of VC++", but I don't have that installed and I don't want to have it installed. There is a link to the C++ redistributable in that thread, which I did install, but it made no difference.

Hello,We are attempting to implement a ping test on the STM32H753 evaluation board. We need to supply the LAN8742 PHY IC with a clock source via the ETH_MCO pin from the MCU. We've configured the PA8 pin of the MCU to RCC_MCO_1 and set the MCO1 clock to 25 MHz, as shown in Figure 1. This setup should generate a 25 MHz clock signal on the PA8 pin. (Note: We have observed the 25 MHz clock signal on the PA8 pin using a DSO.) Figure 1: MCO1 clockFigure 2: STM32H7x3I-EVAL RevB Ethernet Figure 3: Ethernet related jumpers When we set the JP5 jumper to connect pin 1 and pin 2, the LAN8742 PHY IC receives its clock from the 25 MHz quartz crystal, and the ping test works fine. However, when we move the JP5 jumper to connect pin 2 and pin 3, the LAN8742 PHY IC receives its clock signal from the ETH_MCO pin of the MCU. (Note: The 25 MHz clock signal is observed on the PA8 pin using a DSO.) In this configuration, if ethernet cable is connected to ethernet jack of STM32 evaluation

I'm working on implementing Precision Time Protocol (PTP) on the STM32H7S3L8 Nucleo board. I have followed the steps outlined in section 64.9.9 Programming Guidelines for IEEE 1588 Timestamping from the reference manual. Hi expert,       I purchursed the ST25DV64KC - DISCO, but there is no the Daughter Board Schematic (FLEX-ST25DV64KC) of ST25DV64KC - DISCO avalible on the www.st.com. Can you provide it ? Thanks so much.  Best Regards,Yulong

I have created a custom external loader for the H750B-DK.I would like to improve the write/read speed using STM32CubeProgrammer.How can I achieve this? The current conditions are as follows:Dual Flash modeQSPI CLK = approximately 20 MHzMemory Mapped Mode is SDR (Single Data Rate command) The time taken to read/write 32MB is as follows:Read: approximately 58 secondsWrite: approximately 45 seconds I tried the following methods, but they did not have any effect:Changed read to DDR (during transition to Memory Mapped Mode, 6Dh)Changed QSPI CLK from 20MHz to 100MHz (no significant improvement) Could the following be the reasons why NOR Flash read/write cannot be improved?Overhead due to the SWD frequency limit of STLinkV3 (24000 KHz)Limitations of NOR Flash program time If you know any methods to improve the performance, I would appreciate your suggestions.

Hi,I have upgraded from STM32CubeIde 1.12.1 to 1.15.1.I am trying to build my project with STM32CubeIde v1.15.1 in headless mode on Ubuntu 22.04.Note - This worked fine with v1.12.1 with no problems at all but now 1.15.1 there is.The command I run is:     headless-build.sh -importAll .   I get the following error:   !SESSION 2024-06-06 09:06:41.652 ----------------------------------------------- eclipse.buildId=Version 1.15.1 java.version=17.0.8.1 java.vendor=Eclipse Adoptium BootLoader constants: OS=linux, ARCH=x86_64, WS=gtk, NL=en_US Framework arguments: -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -importAll . Hi,I have a c++ project using the ST25R95 as a reader talking to a STM32L4 micro.  I want to play around with putting it in tag emulation mode so I can use an external reader to read data from it.I see references to emulation in the data sheet but don't really see how to put it into this mode.  Is there any example code or instructions for doing this?

Is my camera module working fine (all 3 LEDs light up)? What is camera continuous mode? Anyone have any information regarding this? I am working with the model zoo image classification project, and facing issue, after troubleshooting by blinking LED of the board. I found that the camera initialization is having error. Can anyone provide any information regarding this? Thanks

Hello All, I'd be glad to hear from someone who has used PSSI in a high-bandwidth application. I'm interestedin hard numbers on sustained throughput with/without flow-control. My intended application is to interface some member of the STM32 product line (H7,L4,U5) with an FPGA. The intended clock rate is about 15Mhzat a width of 16bits, and to stream the data to onchip SRAM via DMA.  In terms of execution profile, the STM32 application would simply way until the capture a single long burst of data finishes, then post-process the data "offline". The CPU could therefore be sleeping during capture and I don't expect any other significant activity on the bus during capture. Specific concerns are:1. The PSSI peripheral contains a FIFO, so I'm confident the peripheral itself can keep up with a 15Mhz clockwith an HCLK of 100Mhz+, but I'm worried about the possibility of a FIFO overrun due to limited bandwidthon the AHB bus, so that the FIFO fills up because DMA can't
