There is no documentation provided for the REV_PARK_ANGLE_COMPENSATION_FACTOR variable in the code.hElAngle += SPD_GetInstElSpeedDpp(speedHandle)*REV_PARK_ANGLE_COMPENSATION_FACTOR;What is the purpose of this variable? i searched in the documentation but no results turned up.

Hello, ST expert STM32F407 is used for our custom design. And htim2 play the role of precise timing base. When htim2->Instance.CNT = xx  is used for setting a new counter start value for timer2, it seems that the new counter value does not functions immediately, I mean that the next counter value does not appear one clock period later. Is there any timing diagram when TIMx_CNT register is written by user program? BRYang

Hi everyone,I'm a beginner, and this might be a basic question for many of you, but I appreciate your help nonetheless.I'm working on a project using the STM32H723VGH6 (due to size and design constraints, I can't use the ZG series) and I want to expand the RAM by connecting an IS62WV51216 SRAM. However, I noticed that in CubeMX, the FMC configuration only has a "Muxed PSRAM" option and no SRAM option (the ZG series has an SRAM option in CubeMX).Even with the PSRAM option, I found that PSRAM typically has both address lines (Ax) and data lines (Dx), but CubeMX only shows pinout for data lines, not address lines. I have a couple of questions:Is it possible to support SRAM or PSRAM with address lines? If so, how should I connect the GPIOs?If it's not possible, is there a suitable PSRAM model that fits this data-line-only configuration? When using the HAL library for development, are there any code differences between regular SRAM/PSRAM and this configuration? Thanks a lot for your help

Hi,I have enabled option bit SRAMxECC is in FLASH_OPTR by following sequence mentioned in datasheet to enable SRAM ECC, However RAMCFG_MxCR ECCE still shows as 0(disabled). Please do the needuful.

Hello,How to clean all demo applications from OpenSTLinux, which came with the starter-package?

Good Afternoon,I am currently trying to read a text file from an NFC tag from an ST25R3916-AQET NFC reader connected to an STM32 microcontroller.I have tried to make use of the example case offered by X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 but it only shows how to detect a tag, not how to read from it. Is there any documentation or case examples that can help or guide me to my objective?

Hi,I am new to STM32 so this might seem a basic question... I am thinking of using one to interface to this round touch display:https://thepihut.com/products/3-4inch-dsi-round-touch-display-800x800   and ideally use TouchGFX for the UI/code.The application is a simple vending machine. And while in standby it displays a static picture (an advert or logo) and this picture needs to be updated by the local vending machine outlet through a USB pen drive or micro SD card (and needs to be a very simple process like insert the pen drive or uSD card then press a button to update)Some questions if someone could please help:1) is it possible to change the background image at runtime?2) If so, how? Do I just copy literally byte by byte the new image into the (FLASH I assume?) memory location storing the current image initially programmed by TouchGFX?3) what format (file type) is the image stored into the micro by TouchGFX initially?4) for round displays, how it the image stored? Ask your questionWhy is the payload size not correctly written on my NDEF file?Environment :Target: STM32WB55rgTarget OS: baremetalHost OS: WindowsToolchain: STM32cubeIDELogs and console output if applicableI use it in my project NFC tag, which I read and write. I use the NDEF format for my tag. The content is something like this :Color: redSize: 2.5Length: 200.0I use X-cube-NFC-6  with the NDEF library.I have no problem reading the NFC tag. My main issue is with writing. Sometimes the library does not write the payload size in the header. Here is what I got for the correct header:E1 40 0E 01 03 29 D1 01 25 54 02And here is what I got for the wrong header :E1 40 0E 01 03 00 D1 01 25 54 02What is stranger, is that the content is correctly written.(for example, the length goes from 200.0 to 199.8 )What bothers me the most is that the writing of the header part is inside the ST library; I only pass content I went to write. Here the function to write that I use :GlobalErrorInfoCodes ST2

I have a P-NUCLEO-53L8A1 development kit, which consists of an X-NUCLEO-53L8A1 connected to NUCLEO-F401RE. When I am using the GUI program STSW-IMG041, it can correctly get data. However, I am using the X-CUBE-TOF1 kit from this website link: https://www.st.com/en/ecosystems/x-cube-tof1.html. I compiled the example '53L8A1_SimpleRanging' located in 'en.X-CUBE-TOF1\Projects\NUCLEO-F401RE\Examples\53L8A1', but I encountered an error while running it: 'VL53L8A1_RANGING_SENSOR_Init failed. Check you're using ONLY the center device soldered on the shield, NO satellite shall be connected!' I debugged my code and found that it fails when trying to read the ID:if (VL53L8CX_ReadID(&(VL53L8CXObj[Instance]), &id) != VL53L8CX_OK){ret = BSP_ERROR_COMPONENT_FAILURE;}Since using the GUI program gives me data successfully, I believe the module itself should be fine. However, I can't initialize it using the code.I look forward to receiving help from all the experts. Thank you very much.

I am trying to read multiple ADC channels using the Stm32l072 microcontroller, but in CubeMX, the options for rank assignments, which I normally use to read the channels, are not available. After manually adding these rank assignments to the init functions, I noticed that when I try to read multiple channels in normal mode, both channels show the same values, indicating that I am unable to perform multi-channel reading.I then attempted to perform this ADC reading using DMA, but observed that my reference voltage, which should be around 4095, was divided by the number of channels I was reading. For example:Number of channels to read: 4 -> VREF ADC value: 1.023Number of channels to read: 3 -> VREF ADC value: 1.365Normally, my VREF should be 3.29V, which is very close to 4090. This observation led me to realize that I am unable to read even a single channel correctly. How can I perform multiple ADC readings with this microcontroller?

hello guys, i am using a FTDI FT232B17 for serial communicaiton with my stm32f429 board. i'm using keil uvision, and not using any libraries other than stm32f429xx.h to write the code. i am facing problems "receiving" data from the ftdi-ft232 to my STM32 board. i have successfully sent data from stm32f429 and am able to see it on tera-term/real-term etc, but i am not able to echo or receive data, any ideas where it could be wrong? i have double checked my hardware connections. while running the program when i click "send" from the Real-term, light blinks on the ft232 board but unfortunately nothing is received on stm32.

Hi,I recently created a custom board based on STM32G030 IC and programmed it via UART to run my application. Now, I want to make some changes to my firmware, but I can not connect to the CubeProgrammer. I have tried connecting it via UART and ST-LINK. Below are the errors i get when I try to connect the board via different methodsvia UART- "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again... "via ST-Link- "Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication". The interesting thing here is that CubeProgrammer reads the board as a Nucleo-F303RE(I am using the ST-LINK from this board and have removed the necessary jumpers i.e on CN2)I have tried to give 3.3V to pin 19(PA14) of the IC which is the Boot0 pin and restarting the board, but I am still not able to program the board. I can confirm that the IC is running the

Hello,I am running the code as shown in the attached file and I get two different behaviours on to identical stm32h735g-dk boards. One of the boards will send exactly 37 can messages when the button for master is clicked and the other board will send a infinite amount of messages. What could be the issue? Any help is welcome!Kind regards,Björn Lindholm

Hello all, I am currently developing on the STM32H563ZI and encountered an issue where, when swapping to Bank 2 to erase/write flash, it simultaneously erases the same address in Bank 1. Here are the steps I followed: Swapped to Bank 2. Used STM Programmer 2.16.0 to flash a bin file to the address 0x8100000. Used STM Programmer 2.16.0 again to flash the same bin file to the address 0x8000000. At this point, the code initially flashed to 0x8100000 was erased. Subsequent tests with writing only a few bytes also resulted in the same situation. Are there any settings I can adjust to avoid this situation? Thank you very much!

Our project uses an external ADC reference voltage of 3.03V.This value is properly set up inside the json I use to generate the inital project code ("amplifyingNetworkVm": 3.03, "polarizationOffset": 1.515).Now I found in the generated code that inside paramters_converison.h, the ADC_REFERENCE_VOLTAGE is set to 3.3V.Where am I supposed to set up the correct value so that it gets used by the code generator and stays when regenerating the project in CubeMX? Can I just manually set it?

I am trying to communicate with an ST25R95 from an ESP32S3 but the the spec isn't very clear on the SPI initialization sequence.and I can't find any complete examples.  I'd like to verify that I can communicate with the ST25R95 by reading the IDN so I've implemented the following sequence and verified that this occurs with a Logic AnalyzerAfter initializing the ESP32 SPI peripheral I setCSn HIGHIRQ_IN HIGHSCLK LOWMOSI LOW(delay)CSn LOWSend one byte over SPI 0x01 //resetCSn HIGH(delay)IRQ_IN HIGH100mSIRQ_IN LOW 100mS   //wake up ST25R95IRQ_IN HIGH100mS(delay)CSn LOWSend 14 bytes over SPI 0x02,0x01,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00 //READ IDNCSn HIGH I am expecting the IDN to be returned but instead I get 0xC,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0,0x0. The Reset command is returning 0x0C.Can you verify that this simple sequence should return the IDN [0x000F4E4643204653324A41535434002ACE]?Am I missing something in this sequence?W

Hello all,I'm working with STM32MP135F-DK board and GC2145 camera that comes with it. My main purpose is to get the image and save it. I tried to use the following documents for this:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_V4L2_camera_overview#Grab_a_raw_framehttps://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5478-stm32mp13x-lines-interfacing-with-a-mipi-csi2-camera-stmicroelectronics.pdfI didn't know how to do the "3.1-kernel configuration" step in the first link. So I followed the links below:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Menuconfig_or_how_to_configure_kernelAfter this link, I went to the following link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageAfter installing some packages here, I went back to the "menuconfig-how to configure kernel" link, and here I got stuck on the following step:I have the specified files but I don't know in which directory I should run the make config or make menuconfig commands. To be honest, I am new to embedded Linux and my ma

Hi, I have an STM32F429I-DISCO1 board. I have been learning how to use it and I thought it would be good to see how the professionals do it by looking at the original firmware. I downloaded en.stsw-stm32138, which has STM32F429I-Discovery_FW-V1.0.3 in it. It seems to have examples for EWARM, MDK-ARM and TrueSTUDIO, but not STM32CubeIDE. This seems a bit odd not supporting your own IDE or have I missed something? Thanks in advance, Lance.

I'm using Nucleo-U545 for my project and set the external interrupt for user button as follow.void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){if(GPIO_Pin == USER_BUTTON_Pin) {  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GREEN_GPIO_Port, LED_GREEN_Pin);  printf("*button pressed\n");}} void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){  if(GPIO_Pin == USER_BUTTON_Pin) {  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GREEN_GPIO_Port, LED_GREEN_Pin);  printf("*button released\n");  }} When I press the button, the rising interrupt reacts relatively fast. But when I release the button, the falling interrupt responds very slowly. It takes almost a second. No matter how hard I look at it, I can't tell why this phenomenon occurs. When I look at the falling wave using an oscilloscope, it falls quickly without being as slow as the falling interrupt reaction rate.

Hi Team, where we are trying interface ENC28J60 in STM32F407VG Microcontroller to use Ethernet, Is there any procedure to create a project in cube ide are any link related to this board how to interface ENC28J60 to STM controller. Best Regards,Gagan Gowda

Hi team,I am currently developing a board with the STM32L476RET6. This project involves UART communication (UART4, PA0 and PA1), and I am concerned about EMI due to the fast rising and falling edges of the TX signal. To address this issue, I am implementing a series termination. I already have a 50-ohm controlled impedance board. To complete the design, I need to know the output characteristic impedance of the GPIOs I am using. I have tried to find this information in the datasheet and reference manual, but unfortunately, I could not locate it. Can you help me with this?
