I am using the Nucleo board (H563) to test the SRAM ECCI have create a new project by board selector.Just have several printf function at main to print out to the SWO.It is working well without setting the SRAM ECC enable. However, once set the SRAM3 ECC it will jump to hardfault() after bootup. ** I want to put all program under the ECC protection.   Therefore the heap, stack and bss should be place at ECC protected area.   How to achieve this?RAMCFG SRAM1: HardErase: Enable SRAM2: HardErase: Enable Error code correction: StartECC SRAM3: HardErase: Enable Error code correction: StartECC STM32H563ZITX_FLASH.ld ------------------------------------------ /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM1) + LENGTH(RAM1); /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x400; /* required amount of stack */ /* Memories definition */ MEMORY { /* RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN =

Hello Everyone, I am now looking for something like the LL_SPI_SetRxFIFOThreshold() function that I can use with the STM32F407vgt6 is there a good way?  What we want to do is, as an example, using the LL_SPI_SetRxFIFOThreshold() function, we want to add a process called LL_SPI_SetRxFIFOThreshold(SPI2, LL_SPI_RX_FIFO_TH_QUARTER)Thank you in advance.

What would be the best way to develop firmware on the STM32WB with customized Bluetooth and using an RTOS?When using FreeRTOS, I’m unable to generate custom BLE code in CubeMX, and I’m having difficulty controlling the device’s sleep mode. It seems that the Bluetooth stack already has a mechanism for controlling sleep, but with my FreeRTOS v2, it’s not working properly.Considering the two microcontrollers: STM32WB55 and STM32WB0, do they have differences regarding this? Thanks

CubeMX generated a example for USB CDC, and with HAL_PCD_IRQHandler.Now I want use polling method to initial USB,and communicate with host without USB interrupt. So how can I modify it?I had tried to do something ,but it not work. Please help me.1.  disable USB interrupt at HAL_PCD_Start().     HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_PCD_Start(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd){USB_OTG_GlobalTypeDef *USBx = hpcd->Instance; __HAL_LOCK(hpcd); if (((USBx->GUSBCFG & USB_OTG_GUSBCFG_PHYSEL) != 0U) &&(hpcd->Init.battery_charging_enable == 1U)){/* Enable USB Transceiver */USBx->GCCFG |= USB_OTG_GCCFG_PWRDWN;} // __HAL_PCD_ENABLE(hpcd);(void)USB_DevConnect(hpcd->Instance);__HAL_UNLOCK(hpcd); return HAL_OK;} 2. moved out HAL_PCD_IRQHandler function to main loop. but it dose not work.when host send get descriptor, device dose not response.

Hi,I'm trying to combine the SPI and GPDMA on STM32U5. In the various SPI transfer APIs with suffix '_DMA', I can see the code below: /* Enable the Tx DMA Stream/Channel */ if ((hspi->hdmatx->Mode & DMA_LINKEDLIST) == DMA_LINKEDLIST) { if (hspi->hdmatx->LinkedListQueue != NULL) { /* Set DMA data size */ hspi->hdmatx->LinkedListQueue->Head->LinkRegisters[NODE_CBR1_DEFAULT_OFFSET] = hspi->TxXferCount; /* Set DMA source address */ hspi->hdmatx->LinkedListQueue->Head->LinkRegisters[NODE_CSAR_DEFAULT_OFFSET] = (uint32_t)hspi->pTxBuffPtr; /* Set DMA destination address */ hspi->hdmatx->LinkedListQueue->Head->LinkRegisters[NODE_CDAR_DEFAULT_OFFSET] = (uint32_t)&hspi->Instance->TXDR; status = HAL_DMAEx_List_Start_IT(hspi->hdmatx); } else { status = HAL_ERROR; } } else { status = HAL_DMA_Start_IT(hspi->hdmatx, (uint32_t)hspi->pTxBuffPtr, (uint32_t)&hspi->Instance->TXDR, hspi->TxXfer

Hi, We're attempting to update the LIV4F firmware via the UART interface from an embedded device, however, we're unable to replicate the steps documented in UM3009.Our code works up until the the baud rate configuration step in Figure 2, after which communication from the unit fails. Is there any additional documentation on the LIV4 firmware protocol or reference code? We found an example for the LIV3F but the process in the code differs substantially from what's in the LIV3F manual. We also noted that the LIV4 module only returns the code 0x98 0x83, rather than the TESEO_FLASHER_SYNC code 0x83984073 documented in the manual. We do receive the ACK code after the DEVICE_START_COMMUNICATION code. Not sure if this is an expected change or if it is an indication that something is wrong. I also found Quectel documentation for what appears to be the LIV3 upgrade process in the example code, and it show the baud rate being set in the binary image options data block. I am trying to enable a warning/error  for magic numbers in code analysis. But after I build the project I get no warnnings/errors regarding the magic numbers even tough I  have a lot of magic numbers troughout  the project. How do i enable code anaysis?

I'm using VL53L3CX. The development board is nucleo f103rb. Power was supplied from the laptop, and pin connections were the same as shown in the notes in the example code.(sensor - pololu / code - stm32arduino helloworld)The sensor was powered to 3.3 V in the vinAt first, the data came out well. However, after several repeated measurements, suddenly there was a problem with "initsensor." The code has not progressed since "initsensor."I2C was the problem. I tried to search the address with scanner code but it failed. After removing the sensor and board from all power connections, I tried again after a lot of time, and it went intermittently and then it didn't. When I took SDA and SCL with my oscilloscope, the signal was caught only when it was intermittent and I stayed in HIGH state when it was notI've been suffering from this issue for weeks. I wonder if the sensor is broken or if there's something wrong.

Hi everyone,I have a problem with the VL53L0X Time of Flight (ToF) ranging sensor, where after being exposed to a temperature of 100°C for around 1.5h, the sensor is not functional anymore. In the solder reflow process section of the datasheet, the temperatures for soldering are all well above 100 °C, so the sensor should survive these conditions.timCould the temperature still be the reason for the failure? Thanks in advance and kind regardsPhilip

HiCan someone head me in the right direction to locate a very basic project to use a  ST25 together with  one of the HID chips or similar:     Project for a tag only read direct into spreadsheet via HID.  Thanks   CharlesMicrochip’s ATtiny85 with V-USB software implementation, orFTDI’s FT260 chip, orSilicon Labs’ CP2112 HID USB-to-SMBus bridge, orNXP’s SC18IS602B I2C-to-USB HID bridge

Hi ST Team,I am planning to use the X-CUBE-STL library with the STM32H7 dual-core microcontroller and RTOS (ChibiOS, FreeRTOS). Could you please guide me on how to integrate X-CUBE-STL with RTOS like ChibiOS, FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, etc.? Additionally, are there any resources available for development? Thanks,Nitish Sharma

@KDJEM.1  I have rebuild the above code in Keil and tried to load then i got below error. Could you please help me to start with the board.Thank you.

We are currently trying to build a external loader for our application. Our System consists of a STM32H743 and a STM32F427ZIT.For the initial upload of the firmware the DFU interface of the H7 should be used and via a external loader application loaded to the F4 via SPI1 (of the F4) bootloader. We successfully built a external loader with Init, Read, Write, SectorErase and MassErase. All these functions work when used via the STM32CubeProgrammer application. However the SectorErase completes successfully only for one section, if multiple external sections are to be erased cubeprogrammer fails "Error: Sector erase operation has failed at least for one of the existing specified sectors. Please verify flash memory protection."We have debug output of our own external loader:eg.:Debug Start for SPI external LoaderInit with SPI bootloader status: 1SectorErase with StartAdr: 0x8040000 and EndAd: 0x8040000SectorErase success StartAdr: 0x8060000 and EndAd: 0x8040000This output is generated when tryi

Hi, I am having issues using the STM32L431RBI6 to read a rotary encoder. The encoder has a 0-5V output on its 2 channels, and is working with my other STM32 setup (on a STM32L451CCU6).On the STM32L431RBI6, I am using TIM2 configured in Encoder mode, with TIM2_CH1 & TIM2_CH2 mapped respectively on PA15 and PB3 (5V tolerant). The associated code was generated using STM32CubeMX included in STM32CubeIDE 1.14.1. When running the code, the TIM2->CNT value does not get updated when I manually move the motor. After tracing the signals on a logic analyser, I noticed that the signal on PB3 was working fine (oscillating between 0 and 5V as expected). However, on PA15, the signal has the correct shape but is only oscillating between 0 and 0.8V. On the board I am using, there are no intermediate components between the encoder output and each STM32 pin (only the PCB track). Both tracks are routed close to each other.I am linking my GPIO & TIM2 configuration. Do you have

Can I implement the GUI on STM32F423ZhT6 board by using TouchGFX. If yes means can you guide me?

Hello, I am confused in finalizing a secure chip for my iot gateway(linux). I read all the documents for ST SAFE-A110. My gateway has an mqtt broker which is bridged to another broker in cloud. In order to Implement TLS for mqtt i need to provide key and certificate path in the mosquitto broker configuration file. Which is impossible since key is stored in the chip and is not user readable.question:1. How to implement tls over mqtt using STSAFE-A110? I have read that there is a challenge given to the chip to authorise a connection from cloud is it generically said in the case of tls or any additional program needs to be run in cloud to acheive this or this will only work in case of clouds like Azure or AWS ? is it possible to do secure authentication using oem cloud?? i am new to this security kind of application any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,      I am designing with the aforementioned RTC and have the following questions.  I contacted ST support and the solution was to ask the forums.  So here are my questions:What is the date output (i.e. binary, BCD, YY:MM:DD:dd, HH:MM:SS:hh, etc.)?The crystal and battery are in a separate module and are not integrated with the IC itself. I want to make sure that it is compatible with both types (the 48 and 120 mAh).What does the chip control in terms of the NVSRAM? Is it a buffer? What does it do?Unrelated to this chip in particular, does ST have a RTC with an integrated (non-seperate SNAPHAT) crystal and no battery pin, just VDD? I do not need a backup battery, or a pin for it.Thank you

Target Board: STM32H743ZI2 NucleoSTM32CubeMX: V6.11.0 Hallo community,I'm encountering an issue about migration. When I migrated my STM32CubeMX project from V6.10.0 to V6.11.0, the setting for ADC3 was disabled in the new *.ioc files. In my old ADC3 settings, I was using the Temperature Sensor Channel on the chip. But after the update to V6.11.0, the setting for Temperature Sensor Channel in the ADC3 is missing. All the settings of ADC3 for the temperature sensor are missing, and there is no ADC channel 18 under ADC3 to set (The inner temperature sensor is connected to ADC channel 18).I've also checked the STM32CubeMX 6.11.0 release note and errata. There is no such an issue reported.I put the two screenshots in the attached files. Best wishes,

I'm writing software on dual core CPU, On M4 core, I need to know is it support bit banding? I searched all documents from ST, but I didn't find clear answer, I found on M4 CPU, like STM32F series bit banding has supported, and on M7 single core CPU like STM32H743 doesn't support, but on dual core CPU, like STM32H745 is it support?

Is there a publication of the detailed schematics for the VL53L5CX-SATEL? My search of the ST site returned two documents only showing high level connections. I'm more interested in which signal lines, capacitors, resistors, and values are populated on these devices...TIA,-Terry

Hi everyone, I'm developing a bootloader that works like this. I was inspired by the example: https://github.com/pramodk51/bootloader_for_stm32f4.  I developed this initially on Nucleo F439ZI for the test phase and I managed to implement it with the addition of DFU functionality. The principle was simply to send a program that lights a led per uart that the bootloader would store and then go to this memory location to make it work (2 slots, one for the recent version and the other for the backup).Note: I didn't develop the whole thing in the same code, I have bootloader code and application code, so 2 linker scripts etc ...Once the test was functional and robust, I decided to integrate it into my personal project. My application this time is much more complex than turning on a LED, it uses FreeRTOS and is also much larger (but respects the size specified in the slot). In terms of the application I've reproduced exactly the same operation so that it adapts to the slot automatically

Hi Everyone, I'm using Nucleo-f429 board and using HAL UART API's on it. I have observed that on using HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA()  for a receiving data of length 800. I found that Buffer getting filled / Interrupt is called once its size reached 64 even though there isn't any idle state and regardless of what data I'm passing.  I have tried using this API for receiving data of length 50 (<64). Its working and interrupt is getting triggered once the idle state is seen at 50th element.Could anyone help me out on this.Required code snippets attached belowThanks edit: #define BUFFER_SIZE 1000 extern unsigned char rxData[BUFFER_SIZE]; void HAL_UART_MspInit(UART_HandleTypeDef* uartHandle) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; if(uartHandle->Instance==USART2) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART2_MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART2_MspInit 0 */ /* USART2 clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_USART2_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPI
