Hello,When I add the BLE stack to the STM32WB35CEU6A, I notice that the RTC and timer settings don’t work correctly. With the BLE stack enabled, I can’t get accurate time information from the RTC and timer, or there are inconsistencies in the timing. Is there something I might be overlooking in the STM32CubeMX settings? What specific settings should I pay attention to for stable operation of both RTC and timer with BLE?Thanks!

Hello, I'm a beginner in hardware design for STM32 MCU wireless. I usually get detailed information about component value recommendations in the datasheet or application note. But in STM32WL33, I get unclearer information than in other MCU wireless documentation like STM32WL5 or STM32WB55. Here is the application circuit from the STM32WL33 datasheet; there is no component value recommendation. I have several question1. what is L1 and L2 recomendation value?2. I want to use this MCU for 433MHz or 868MHz, so what value recommendation for matching network components?3. Why in the application circuit there is no RF switch? In AN5407 and MB1720 docs (STM32WL_QFN48_4Layers_Ref_Board) I found that using RF switch.

Hi, I am using a VD55G1 sensor with P-board to interface with Rpi 5. I am using Camera port #0 of Rpi. I downloaded the STSW-IMG506_V4L2, STSW-IMG506_LIPA and STSW-IMG506_LCAM. I followed the steps to install V4L2 driver from the "Linux Start Guide for ST BrightSense image sensors" document and updated the device tree to include pcb4189_vd55g1_cam0.dts, added the same to config.txt as well. I upgraded the system to support latest version of libcamera packahe and extracted both LIPA and LCAM .deb files, but rpicamera-hello or libcamera-hello doesn't detect camera. At the same time I found the libcamera version to get messed up upon extracting the LIPA and LCAM libraries (refer the attached image before and after installing the package). Before extracting the LIPA and LCAM library filesAfter extracting the LIPA and LCAM library filesDebugging steps:I did not find any external hardware from the /dev/ though I interfaced a FPC cable with P-board and promodule with

Hello,We are currently developing a device based on STM32L0 MCU. We would like to implement a USB device functionality in it. The problem we have is that we don't know what USB VID and PID to set for it, since we don't want to buy our own, since this is just a small, side functionality. My question is: does ST provide any specific PID/ VID values, that are available to be used legally (and commercially) by their customers when implemented with STM32 products?I would appreciate all help.

hello, Now I am using VSCode with STM32 extension V2.1.0, at beginning is used well. but 1 days later, when I opened the VScode and try to build my code. it shows "Unhandled exception: Unhandled Promise rejection: build Error: Build failed: Unable to configure the project {}"then I want to close the folder, it cannot be closed. so I copy it to a backup folder and delete the project. and copy back and use [Import CMake project], the VSCode just always importing. you can see as belowwhy? why cannot import the project?thanks.

I am trying to use ST25R95 as an ISO14443-A card reader to read a standard Mifare classic 1K card. I am using a logic analyzer (Saleae) to detect that the card response time after sending the SendRecv command is about 500us or more, which is too high for my actual needs, The following is a screenshot of the logic analyzer：Note: The MOSI pin in the figure is not connected to the logic analyzer, as connecting the MOSI pin will cause ST25R95 to fail to start, This issue can be ignored in this discussion for now.  Wait for 100ms after the startup sequence is completed. The IDN command received the correct response. The protocol selection command has received a response of 0x0000. Send SendRecv command: (00) 04 02 26 07 After approximately 500us, IRQ_OUT asserts. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the configuration I'm using or the original ST25R95 design, but I hope to shorten the response time.

Hi all.Are there any guides on building the charge-through VPD device with the ST product? An illustration from the standard: The goal is to maintain the smartphone's supply from the external PD charger while maintaining the connection with a USB 2.0 auxiliary device (specifically, the simple USB CDC device). The auxiliary device consumes <0.1 W.

I'm using the ST Cube environment (IDE + MX) to configure the SPI2 peripheral in Full-Duplex Master mode on a STM32F105VBHX chip.It seems like the peripheral is not driving the NSS (chip select) pin (PB12).  When the pin is selected for SPI2_NSS and the peripheral is configured with the "Hardware NSS Output Signal", no signal is driven on that pin when the SPI peripheral is clocking data.  Instead, it is held low constantly. If I configure that pin as GPIO, I can drive it with code just fine, which is what I am doing to get around the problem for now.  However, that is also problematic because I can't seem to depend on the HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback and/or HAL_SPI_RxCpltCallback methods always getting called when a transaction completes.  Of course, this means some time is wasted.I don't see any references to SPI2 NSS in the silicon errata that apply to my situation (I am not using USART3 at all, and not using the CRC peripheral in tandem with SPI).  What could

I'm trying to install the distribution package but I'm at the point of the proxy issues and I don't know what to do.  sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install corkscrew git config --replace-all --global core.gitproxy "$HOME/bin/git-proxy.sh" git config --add --global core.gitproxy "none for <MyPrivateNetworkDomain>" (optional, for example .st.com or localhost) echo 'exec corkscrew <MyProxyServerUrl> <MyProxyPort> $* $HOME/.git-proxy.auth' > $HOME/bin/git-proxy.sh chmod 700 $HOME/bin/git-proxy.sh echo '<MyProxyLogin>:<MyProxyPassword>' > $HOME/.git-proxy.auth chmod 600 $HOME/.git-proxy.auth Use the command below to test the proxy settings: git ls-remote git://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core > /dev/null && echo OK || echo KO  I have absolutely zero idea of the proxy settings my VM. How can I move pass this step? Also, after those steps it sends me to https://source.android.com/docs/setup/download#installing-repo

Hi, I am implementing a screen with particular number of flex buttons. The buttons are generated by my code and number of buttons change depending on some other variables. So far, I can create those flex buttons by code and see and touch them on the display. They change color when I touch them, so that I realise that buttons are functional. But of course, nothing happens when I touch them, because there are no callback functions. And I couldn't find a way how to implement callback function/functions for them. Here is a part of my code, showing how I create those buttons: for (uint8_t i=1; i<=numberoflines; i++) { Buttons[i].setBoxWithBorderPosition(0, 0, 337, 30); Buttons[i].setBorderSize(0); Buttons[i].setBoxWithBorderColors(touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(0, 0, 0), touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(150, 150, 150), touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(80, 80, 80), touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(150, 150, 150)); Buttons[i].setPosition(2, (i*30+5), 337, 30); Buttons[i].invalidate

Hello,Hello everybody,Please help me with this problem! I try to communicate the M24SR16 NFC chip with an MIPS microcontroller using the I2C protocol.I would like to set up the NDEF message for Bluetooth pairing; and to use the reset of the available memory as an EEPROM to save some random data. Do you know how to do so, an application example?I've been using the ST25DV64KC before, but my code isn't compatible with this chip.I appreciate any help.

Hello, I am working on getting the Developer Package for the STM32MP257F-EV1 board up and running. I am confused on the step where tells us to do the following command:[ "${ARCH}" = "arm" ] && imgtarget="uImage" || imgtarget="Image.gz"export IMAGE_KERNEL=${imgtarget}Followed bymake ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}"I am assuming that for ARCH I should be writing arch64 which is proved by the fact that when I try to run that I am getting an error for the first Image target, But I keep getting the error *** No rule to make target 'uImage' or whatever I put for the Image, I have tried a variety of Image names that I found in some of the files like: Image, uImage, zImage, Image.gz, and bzImage. The only one that will not get this error is bzImage, which will end up getting errors with the files later about undeclared variables and it seems that it is making it for x86 architecture. So what is the Image target I should be using and where do I fi

Hello everyone,I am trying to migrate a project for the STM32MP151C from dunfell to kirkstone. The versions of the main components I am using are the following:ComponentVersiontf-a-stm32mpv2.6-stm32mp-r2.2optee-os-stm32mpv3.16.0-stm32mp-r2.2u-boot-stm32mpv2021.10-stm32mp-r2.2linux-stm32mpv5.15.145-stm32mp-r2.2 I used a given .ioc file with a newer version of STM32CubeMX (v6.8.0 - openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.11.23) to re-generate the devicetrees and added the custom changes from the old devicetrees (see devicetrees attached).Eventually during boot following error occurs: I/TC: Primary CPU switching to normal world boot D/TC:0 tee_entry_exchange_capabilities:100 Asynchronous notifications are disabled D/TC:0 tee_entry_exchange_capabilities:112 Dynamic shared memory is enabled D/TC:0 0 core_mmu_xlat_table_alloc:513 xlat tables used 4 / 4 D/TC:? 0 tee_ta_init_pseudo_ta_session:296 Lookup pseudo TA a8cfe406-d4f5-4a2e-9f8d-a25dc754c099 D/TC:? 0 tee_ta_init_pseudo_t

I don't understand why there are no more .c and .h files but these in my project:What setting did I accidentally change?

Hello, I am working with the STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and I am getting stuck. I am following the following guide: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP2_boards/STM32MP257x-EV1/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A35/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel. I am not able to use the UDP Server application(x-cube-subg2) for the extention board S2915A1. When I try to compile the generated code, I get the following compilation error. I had no trouble with running the P2P application from the same package, but this one doesn't seem to compile out-of-the-box for some reason.STM32Cube/Repository//Packs/STMicroelectronics/X-CUBE-SUBG2/5.0.0/Drivers/BSP/Components/S2LP/S2LP_Library/inc/S2LP_Csma.h:102:3: error: unknown type name 'SFunctionalState'STM32Cube/Repository//Packs/STMicroelectronics/X-CUBE-SUBG2/5.0.0/Drivers/BSP/Components/S2LP/S2LP_Library/inc/S2LP_Csma.h:154:15: error: unknown type name 'SFunctionalState'; did you mean 'FunctionalState'?(There are 73 errors similar to these ones)To give a little bit of context, the type "SFunctionalState" is declared in a file called S2LP_Types.c and the header file of the file is properly included inside the complaining file. From my perspective, the issue seems to be related to a circular dependency

Hello,I would like some guidance on how to setup the STM32CubeIDE to allow me to use C++23 on the ARM toolchain I usually use.The ARM toolchain is setup correctly but in the project's properties>C/C++ Build>MCU/MPU G++ Compiler>General, the language standard cannot go as high as iso or gnu C++20. Is there any way to write a value myself or do I have to use an external CMake. Thanks for your help,

Hi,I am thinking using the STM32U5G9VJT6Q and configure the USB to USB-OTG but never used USB OTG before. The PCB would have its own power supply and only work when power is applied through it and never take power from the USB connector. The USB would also be USB 2.0 using Type C connector but without any of the fancy external ICs for handshaking and power management.Considering the above and configuring the USB to OTG (so I can change it to be either device or host at runtime):- if configured as host, I assume the power to the device connected be provided directly from the 5V of the PCB without any microcontroller control of it. Is that correct?- for the OTG is the OTG_HS_ID pin I assume I connect it straight to the MicroUSB connector or Type-C connector. Is that correct or do I need to have some logic/devices in between? Thank you :)

Hello! I followed this video for CAN-bus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfWlIY0zAIc&t=918s but as simply as it looks, my configuration doesnt seem to work, I'm working on the NUCLEO-F767zi, I started a new project with default config simply adding CAN1, no other pin configured or device added. With the oscilloscope, I can see the CAN_TX pin toggling, but nothing received in LoopBack Mode. I attached the main.c file and the .ioc file.     I read the discussion on this post but I cant use the same solution, not really sure why (I'm no expert in clock configuration). Thank to whoever will give his opinion about it.

Memory regions were visible in STM32CubeIDE version 1.14.1. Later, I updated to STM32CubeIDE 1.16.1, and now the memory regions are no longer visible.Could you please assist me with this?

Hi there Touchgfx team!I need to trigger a modal in 15 different screens, like this:  I had a similar question on another post, and the solution works if I use buttons, but not if I send the notification from the model, which is what I need. The post is: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/how-to-trigger-modal-in-all-screens-from-the-model/td-p/735616 If I use a button like this the resulting screen is the one above. If I create an interaction on the screen, that when called changes the screen to the modal, this is what happens: What I need is to call the interaction from the model, not to use a button. But the result is different than expected. Thanks a lot in advance!

I am designing an interface board where there is an ADC that needs two different power supplies (3.3V and 2.5V). To minimize this board, instead of bringing the two power supplies from outside, I would like to bring only the 3.3V one and through a voltage regulator provide the 2.5V one. Could anyone suggest a product that would be useful for this purpose? Thank you.

Hi all,I've a board with the STM32F103C8T6 MCU.My firmware has to handle a lot of IO, display and UART logic, nothing special but just a lot of logic. So the 64K b internal flash memory is almost full.I've a couple of question here:1) can i switch to the STM32F103CBT6 so that I'll have 128Kb of flash without issues?2) Is there any other candidate in a small package (like the LQFP-48) I can use? I have to use a small package cause I don't have that much space available on that board (find attached) Thanks!

I'm designing a custom PCB using the STM32F407G-DISC1 board as a reference, with the goal of meeting EMI/EMC standards. However, my design includes a VBAT connection from external battery that the reference board doesn't have. Can you advise on best practices for connecting the VBAT line to ensure proper operation and minimal noise? In the attached schematic, I've connected VBAT to the battery cell and ground. Could you please review if this setup is correct for powering the circuit through VBAT? Also, is there anything else I should consider for stability or noise reduction and minimize the EMI/EMC issue?

Hello,is there a possibility to turn on the OUT pin of the STLINK-V3PWR via openocd?I am currently using VSCode with opencd and gdb-multiarch for debugging. And I don't want to start STM32CubeMonitor-Power in the background all the time, to supply my board with 3,3 V.Thank you very much.BRDominik
