I am using SPI to communicate between STM32H7B3I-DK (master) and Nucleo-H743ZI(Slave). My Data transmits as expected; however, after transmission the MISO and MOSI lines stay high. I have Master Keep IO State Enabled on both.I am not using HW NSS, and have setup my own NSS(nCS)SLAVE SPI:   hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_2EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 0x0; hspi1.Init.NSSPMode = SPI_NSS_PULSE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.NSSPolarity = SPI_NSS_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.FifoThreshold = SPI_FIFO_THRESHOLD_01DATA; hspi1.Init.TxCRCInitializationPattern = SPI_CRC_INITIALIZATION_ALL_ZERO_PATTERN; hspi1.Init.RxCRCInitial

Hello, I am trying to receive and transmit byte-to-byte on a STM32F429 Discovery, I will be using a STM32U5 Discovery soon. I used UART IT method but maybe there is a better solution...Objective & Issue:I want to continuously receive and send byte-to-byte, goal is to apply a function to each byte before transmitting it. Right now I can receive and transmit but I lose some characters in the process. For example if I send "Passphrase" to Uart using a python script, my implementation will transmit something like "PasPhase". It gets worst if I add more code to do something to the byte for instance...How can I fix this ? This is not the case if I use a bigger buffer but I want to make sure I receive a byte, treat it and send it through UART ASAP, maybe there is a way to receive next byte at the same time I am treating the current byte ? What I did:I am using HAL_UART_Receive_IT and HAL_UART_Transmit_IT based on examples I found in the F4 firmware.I am using a tag UartReady to S

Hello. The following is machine-translated so it might seem a bit strange. I'd like to ask if I can use my only computer, the "MacBook Pro with M1 version", to connect to ST-LINK V2 to program the STM32 on a C8T6 chip's PCB board. I've tried using V1 before but without success. STM32CubeIDE couldn't recognize ST-LINK, and thus it wasn't able to program. I hope you can help me solve this problem. Thank you very much.

Hello,I'm working with SensorTile (STEVAL-STLKT01V1) and using the AI-SENSING1 firmware. I would like to replicate the energy saving behavior I observed in the ALLMEMS1 firmware: it goes into shutdown mode after a period of no connection and can be reactivated by a double tap event. In ALLMEMS1, this behavior happens automatically, but in AI-SENSING1, I am facing difficulties implementing this logic. My question is: what specific steps should I follow to replicate the behavior of ALLMEMS1 in AI-SENSING1, or is there any example of implementing this shutdown with wake-up via double tap for AI-SENSING1? I would also need guidance on how to configure the timer so that the shutdown occurs automatically after a pre-determined time without connection. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.

Hi，I am now adapting the stm32mp13 bare metal bootloader FSBLA_Sdmmc1 for stm32mp157, and have achieved good results. However, since the sd card partition table of stm32mp13 is different from the common gpt partition table, the full function of this bootloader cannot be fully utilized. I guess it is due to the sd external loader. Therefore, I hereby apply to the STMicroelectronics support teams for the source code including the following content to adapt my subsequent content1.sd external loader2.emmc external loader3.snor external loaderThank you, the following is my github repository for storing the bootloader and program of mp15https://github.com/youngsea2000/STM32MP1xx_Baremetal

Dear All, I want to use STM32CubeMonitor to monitor 64-bit variables, such as int64_t or uint64_t. However, it seems that 64-bit variables cannot be selected from the variable list (they are not displayed). Is there any way to achieve this?Best Regards,Fan

Hi there,There is a config option named "OB_STOP_RST" that exists in Option Bytes' USERconfig, I tested it with STOP mode, and it works well. But I can't understand when we should use it. After clearing this bit to OB_STOP_RST, the MCU will reset right away and enter run mode when it enters stop mode, why don't we just reset the MCU, it's easier and faster.Same as the OB_STDBY_RST config.

Hi all,I am trying to use the STM32H735G-DK as a Dashboard/Speedometer for a car project. However, I am having trouble integrating the FDCAN with the GUI. I have tried building the FDCAN code first then generating the GUI and vice versa. The Board is receiving CAN messages fine however it is not sending anything back, instead, the TxBuffer fills up and causes error 512. My colleague told me there is something to do with the interrupt timing and FreeRTOS, so I have tried polling and it still wouldn't work. my main way of testing is connecting the two FDCAN peripherals already on the board in normal mode and sending messages.I have uploaded my .ioc file and main.c any pointers and help would be much appreciated, thank you!

on STM32H745 nucleo board, Ethernet ping command working in debug mode but failing in standalone mode. Please help

I started to use this stlink v3set since year 2023. All works well until recently it get offline and reconnected immediately sometimes. The red light flashes several times then stays on after connect to USB. The STLINK_V3S disk is opened in an explorer. The firmware for this programmer set is V3J15M7B5S1. I tried to downgrade it to V3J15M6B5S1 using CubePrg but with no luck.  Whenever downloading code in STM32CubeIDE, I get this error message:Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target.Anyone could help? ThanksBtw, I bought a J-link EDU to replace this malfunctioned stlink v3set just in case that it could be fixed.

Hi there, first of all: I'm a software engineer and working with electronics only as a hobbyist. Therefore expect *** errors :)I'm trying to use a ST25R3916B in my ESP32 project. The I2C communication to the ST25R3916B is working. The call to rfalNfcInitialize succeeds but the next call to rfalFieldOnAndStartGT causes the ESP32 to crash with a " Core 1 panic'ed (Interrupt wdt timeout on CPU1).". The interrupt is taking too long.Looking into the code, I found this function:  /*******************************************************************************/ void RfalRfST25R3916Class::st25r3916CheckForReceivedInterrupts(void) { uint8_t iregs[ST25R3916_INT_REGS_LEN]; uint32_t irqStatus; /* Initialize iregs */ irqStatus = ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_NONE; ST_MEMSET(iregs, (int32_t)(ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_ALL & 0xFFU), ST25R3916_INT_REGS_LEN); /* In case the IRQ is Edge (not Level) triggered read IRQs until done */ while (digitalRead(int_pin) == HIGH) { st25r3916ReadMultipleRegister

Hi there!First, I need to declare my frustration with CUBE IDE complexity. My code is not for blinking a LED or test one button, but a complex code that involves an 7 inch LCD, EEPROM, TEA6686 PLL, DS3231 RTC, DS18B20 temperature sensor and so on, It is almost impossible to organize the code with so many files to manage, and now, besides of working fine at main.c file, the I2C3 is not recognize outside the main.c file. This is boring, so boring that I am hard thinking to change the processor and IDE. Tons off #includes, tons off crisscross references, we get crazy...... What the hell…..Well, my code is to far advance, lets see how may I solve this problem…. It is the edge….I created a file R_T_C.c and RTC.h to manage all information regarding with DS3231, but when I try to use “HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c3, 0XD0, 0X0E, 1, 0b00000000, 1, 1000);”  it says that  'hi2c3' undeclared (first use in this function). What may I do to solve the new issue…… Already tried to #include ever

We use VL53L1X for liquid level detection purposes. We believe that the “signal-rate” needs to be high in order to accurately detect the surface of the water at a distance. We are considering the VL53L1CB as a candidate. Is the VL53L1CB a good candidate? It is important that the VL53L1CB is software-compatible with the VL53L1X.Thank you. 飛行時間

I am using the Nucleo-H743ZI, with a SPI ISR I wrote originally on the STM32H7B3I-DK board. However, when I usevolatile uint8_t rxBuffer; volatile uint8_t txBuffer; *((__IO uint8_t *)&hspi->Instance->TXDR) = txBuffer; //or rxBuffer = *((__IO uint8_t *)&hspi->Instance->RXDR);I get a syntax error on the Nulceo. I checked the stm32h7xx_hal.c file and they use these two lines for the default SPI handler. I have stm32h7xx_hal.h included, but still have a syntax error... wondering if anyone knows what may be going wrong. I'm not sure why there is no error on my STM32H7B3I-DK board, but there is on the Nucleo.

hey thereI have a customized board with STM32F030K6T6 on it and a 11.0592MHz crystal for HSE. the thing is my code does not run through and when I try to debug it, I can see it sticks in SystemClock_Config(), more specifically, in HAL_RCC_OscConfig() and when I trace it even more I get to __HAL_RCC_HSE_CONFIG() which seems like is responsible for bit setting and stuff... any ways I have no Idea why this happens and though I think crystal is just fine(the reason is that I have tested my code in other boards and it was OK! therefore I dont think the problem is my code, it should be hardware somehow but I dont know what it could be?) HELP!

Questions:1. Does STM32H753 have three independent 16-bit SAR ADC modules?     Any other STM32 parts also have 16-bit SAR ADC modules?2. Can a selected channel in each 16-bit SAR ADC module (Totally 3 selected channel in the 3 modules) be sampled simultaneously under the same clock rate?3. How are the Direct /Fast /Slow channels in SAR ADC defined?4. Which STM32H753 is used in NUCLEO board? (VI, ZI, AI......)Thanks,Rong

I've got an STM32H7RS, and am attempting to use HPDMA to do a memory-to-memory transfer where one side is the FMC.The transfer works perfectly if I use GPDMA.With the exact same code (just replacing the GPDMA handle with an HPDMA one) does not work (it returns an error from HAL_DMA_PollForTransfer) and reports:State: HAL_DMA_STATE_READYError: HAL_DMA_ERROR_DTEI've initialized HPDMA with the exact same parameters (and I've made sure to enable the HPDMA clock with __HAL_RCC_HPDMA1_CLK_ENABLE() at the top of MX_HPDMA1_Init()). My MX_HPDMA1_Init():  /* USER CODE BEGIN HPDMA1_Init 0 */ __HAL_RCC_HPDMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(HPDMA1_Channel12_IRQn, 8, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(HPDMA1_Channel12_IRQn); /* USER CODE END HPDMA1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN HPDMA1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END HPDMA1_Init 1 */ handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Instance = HPDMA1_Channel12; handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Init.Request = DMA_REQUEST_SW; handle_HPDMA1_Channel12.Init.BlkHWRequest = DMA_BREQ_

Hello,I am trying to implement a gesture recognition application.I am using 53L8A1 to collect data. And found out the model zoo supports Hand Posture using 2D CNN. In the model zoo is uses minimum distance, max_distance and background distance. Based on the normalization it follows:X1_norm[zheaders["distance_mm"]] = (X1[zheaders["distance_mm"]] - 295) / 196X1_norm[zheaders["signal_per_spad"]] = (X1[zheaders["signal_per_spad"]] - 281) / 452I would like to know how number 295, 196 for distance and 281, 452 is calculated.Since i am trying to detect dynamic gesture as well with motion. It possible to do it in 3DCNN with 8x8x2xNumber Of Frames. Where 2 are the distances and the signal per spad?

Hello everyone.I have a problem compiling my Yocto for stm32mp157c-dk2 project. I run the bitbake command from build "bitbake -e core-image-minimal".I get the error message:Error, the PACKAGE_ARCHS variable (all any noarch ${PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS:tune-cortexa7}cortexa7 stm32mp157c_dk2) for DEFAULTTUNE (cortexa7) does not contain TUNE_PKGARCH ().Toolchain tunings invalid:Tuning 'cortexa7' has no defined features, and cannot be used.I tried to solve without success.Anyone know how to solve it?ThanksMikiserf

Hello,I'm using the STM32F767ZITx MCU and the lwIP library to transmit and receive UDP packets every 1 ms.Everything works fine but sometimes, after the ARP table has expired, UDP packets are no longer transmitted for several seconds even though my STM has received a response to its ARP request (as seen with Wireshark). What solutions are there to avoid this scenario? Is this normal lwIP behavior? Thanks for your help.

Hi!We are characterizing the ADC's in the STM32H7B3 µc. During temperature cycling of the HW we are observing some unexpected shifts in the conversion data from the ADC. The phenomena is observed across multiple HW units in varying degree. From one part:  Zoomed in at the first shift:It seems 'stuck' at 11263 (decimal) = 0b 0010 1011 1111 1111From another part:  It looks like the shifts are occurring at the some distinct digital values. Is seems like there is a tendency that when the 8 LSB of the digital value are all zeros or all ones, a shift occurs. I can provide raw data if this is of use.  Has anyone at ST seen this sort of behavior from the ADC's? If there is a weakness in the design of the ADC's we need to identify it early. Hopefully this is due to some configuration error on our part. The ADC is configured like this; m_adcHandle.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1;m_adcHandle.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_16B;m_adcHan

where I wrote it among the codes.. // Here I have to wait 500ms.Can you help me to prevent the timers from being affected by this wait?Can you give me the codes that I will add. Because I am very confused..I tried many things but they all stopped the interrupts.. void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if(htim->Instance==TIM1) { if(input1==0) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_1, GPIO_PIN_SET); // Here I have to wait 500ms. HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_1, GPIO_PIN_RESET); } }

I'll try to explain my problem. Don't judge me harshly please.I will explain in detail so that someone can help me understand my problem or suggest a thought that will help me solve it on my own. The idea came to my mind, and I might be completely wrong and not understanding how it works, but I wanted to implement the following: I wanted to connect the Nucleo-F429ZI via the COM port using FT232R and check at what moment and how the control of the DTR and RST signals occurs from the STM32CubeProgrammer (V.2.15.0) program when the port is connected. This is a necessary measure because I don't have equipment on hand for technical verification.I took my Nucleo-F429ZI, as well as the YP-05 board (with the FT232R chip), connected as shown in the picture below.PF12 - CN11.7 - RTSUSART1_TX - CN12.21 - RXDUSART1_RX - CN12.33 - TXDPF13 - CN8.5 - DTRGND - CN7.8 - GNDNucleo-F429ZI is powered through the CN1 connector with a cable that only supplies power (without data transfer). YP-05 connect

Hi, Is there anyway I can add more dynamic gesture to Gesture Kit ULD? Currently What I see is that it supports up to UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, TAP, and Double TAP. If there is a way, could you share what is the process of it? Thank you.

Hello! First post on this forum.I need to run automated testing of a TouchGFX application in an isolated environment. The application takes screen snapshots and stores them to files. It should not need a display to run if it can just render images to the display buffer and capture the result. It runs on windows, and the framework I have uses docker containers, so it would be nice torun headless, while still taking snapshots, in a windows build. Is it possible to produce that kind of headless build? Would it run in a Windows Nano server container?Best regards/M
