I'm trying to move my project from CubeIDE to IAR 9.20.4For some reason I'm gettin Linker Error[Li006] duplicate definitions.With CubeIDE I'm able to compile and debug/download with no issue.I know the error is due to the fact I'm having variables on the .h files included in various .c files that are not set as external. The question is why CubeIDE ignore this issue and the IAR do not?

Hello,I'm trying to silently install Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 v9.3.0 for use in a CI/CD pipeline.I'm launching the installer from a .bat file using the following command:Atollic_TrueSTUDIO_for_STM32_windows_x86_v9.3.0_20190212-0734.exe /S /D=C:\Tools\TrueSTUDIOWere:/S = Silent installation (commonly used with NSIS-based installers)/D= = Destination path for installationThe installation does not run in silent mode – the graphical installer still appears. There are no error messages, but also no indication that a background installation is taking place.Does the TrueSTUDIO installer support silent installation at all?Setup Details:TrueSTUDIO Version: 9.3.0 (Build 20190212-0734)Platform: Windows 11Installer Filename: Atollic_TrueSTUDIO_for_STM32_windows_x86_v9.3.0_20190212-0734.exeAny insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated – thanks in advance!Martin

Hi all ,I’m currently using the EVSPIN32G development board to run six-step trapezoidal commutation.I’m using Motor Pilot version V1.2.12 with the MC_6STEP GUI.In the ST Motor Control tutorial under '6-step - Optimization and troubleshooting of sensor-less firmware parameters,' I saw several phase voltage (BEMF U/V/W) waveforms. However, in Motor Pilot I can only find 'bus voltage' and 'bemf_ADC_conf'—I don’t see any options related to viewing BEMF U/V/W voltages directly. Could you please advise how I can access these waveforms, or if there’s an additional setting or tool needed to display them?Thanks.

Hello, I am trying to use SPI with the STM32H7A3RGT6 microcontroller to send and receive data. However, I am not sure if I have created my functions correctly, or if I have properly configured the registers to achieve full-duplex SPI functionality. Here are my codes:Header files.   /** spi.h** Created on: Apr 23, 2025* Author: HP*/ #ifndef INC_SPI_H_#define INC_SPI_H_ #include "stm32h7a3rgxx.h"#include <stdint.h>void SPI3_gpio_init(void);void SPI3_init(void);void cs_enable(void);void cs_disable(void);void SPI3_transmit(uint8_t *data, uint32_t len);void SPI3_receive(uint8_t *data, uint32_t len);#endif /* INC_SPI_H_ */              /** Clock enable Macros for GPIOx peripherals*/ #define GPIOA_PCLK_EN() (RCC->AHB4ENR |= (1<<0))#define GPIOB_PCLK_EN() (RCC->AHB4ENR |= (1<<1))#define GPIOC_PCLK_EN() (RCC->AHB4ENR |= (1<<2))#define GPIOD_PCLK_EN() (RCC->AHB4

When using the previous V4.6.0 version, it wouldn't allowed it to be used unless I upgrade NanoEdge AI Studio latest version 5.0.2. So I've obliged...Now, one of the projects that I have for anomaly detection, that has several files for Valid Signals and Abnormal signals, when selecting those views, the main window just blacks out and the console error is:11:59:44.992 › Set title bar overlay <--- Last few GCs ---> [61444:0x2e980055c000] 54631 ms: Mark-Compact 4047.8 (4074.6) -> 4046.4 (4079.6) MB, pooled: 0 MB, 1344.48 / 0.00 ms (average mu = 0.269, current mu = 0.034) allocation failure; scavenge might not succeed [61444:0x2e980055c000] 55993 ms: Mark-Compact 4050.9 (4079.6) -> 4048.7 (4081.6) MB, pooled: 0 MB, 1335.40 / 0.00 ms (average mu = 0.157, current mu = 0.020) allocation failure; scavenge might not succeed <--- JS stacktrace ---> [61444:0424/120036.866948:ERROR:v8_initializer.cc(808)] V8 javascript OOM (Reached heap limit). So it seems pretty clear

I'm using an STM32WB5MMGH6 and it's consuming too much current at Stop 2 Mode.The existing BLE connections are closed and advertising is stopped. All unnecessary peripherals, gpios and interrupts are disabled. The system clock is changed to MSI at 1MHz and Systick is disabled.In the current conditions, the system consumes about 1 mA while in Stop Mode 2.We tried using Shutdown Mode and got a consumption of about 100 uA which corresponds to the expected current bleed eliminating a hardware problem. Using Stop Mode 2 we expected about the same consumption.What's missing so that i can achieve a lower consumption?Here is the code snippet: GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = { 0 };// Configure the system clockRCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = { 0 };RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = { 0 }; HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(ADC1_IRQn); // ADC INTHAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI1_IRQn); // GAUGE_NINTHAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn); // SENS_INT1HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI3_IRQn); // IMU_DRDY

Hi,While learning TouchGFX, I created a fairly extensive UI application using TouchGFX alone (i.e., without any custom code). I also have a separate, larger Vending Machine Controller project, where the rest of the system has already been coded. I now need to join them. 1) What is the best and most reliable way to integrate the TouchGFX project into the Vending Machine Controller project? Is there a detailed guide available for this process? 2) Is there a merge or export/import tool available, or should I simply copy the folders manually? 3) What steps should I take before and after merging them (such as checking or modifying settings in the TouchGFX project and/or the CubeIDE project)? Thank you

Hello.I am trying to use "openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v25.03.19".The "revision" of "meta-st-stm32-addons" in "oe-manifest/default.xml" seems to be old, is this the correct setting?In "meta-st-stm32mp-addons/conf/layer.conf", there is the following description.LAYERSERIES_COMPAT_stm-st-stm32mp-mx = “mickledore”ST_OSTL_COMPATIBILITY_VERSION_stm-st-stm32mp-mx = “5.1” Thank you for your assistance.

Hi all.We are evaluating the use of ST25R3911B on production line in order to communicate with our metering product which embeds STM32U5 and ST25DV.We'd like to customize STSW-ST25R001 firmware for ST25R3911B-DISCO board to our needs but the provided firmware project, part of which was clearly generated through CubeMX, targets the Keil toolchain and lacks the CubeMX .ioc project file, whereas we need to use the GCC toolchain embedded in CubeIDE.Can you provide the CubeMX .ioc project file to speedup our development as soon as possible?Thank you in advance.Best regards.

I'm working on developing product, for that I was going through the documents of AC/DC & DC/DC products for reference but, I'm not able to find any detailed documents. If you have any application notes or design documents regarding these products, it would be very helpful for me. If you know any contact mail IDs whom I can reach out, please provide.

When generating code that uses the CMSIS OS V2, it appears that a template directory gets included in the generated code. causing massive linker errors. The offending directory is Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/DEM32WL3X/Source/Templates. Removing it gets rid of the errors.While we are at it, the LICENSE.txt file in the same directory is spelled incorrectly, it should be LICENCE.txt, as it is not a verb.

Hello there,I am currently working with the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 evaluation board.To supply power, I have connected the board to my computer via micro USB (alternatively, a battery could have been used, but it should not make a difference).For data acquisition through USB using NanoEdge Studio, I established the STLINK-V3MINIE connection as shown in the attached picture.Although NanoEdge Studio detects "STMicroelectronics" on COM7, I am unable to receive any data.Additionally, I have noticed that the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 board itself does not appear separately in the Windows Device Manager. Only the STLINK-V3MINIE appears, even though both the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 micro USB and the STLINK-V3MINIE USB are connected to the PC simultaneously.Is this behavior normal, or could it indicate an issue with the setup?For reference, I recently flashed the firmware file Proteus_HS_Datalog_FUOTA_reference.bin.Firmware updates via STLINK-V3MINIE complete successfully, but NanoEdge Studio still fails to acquire any

Hi, Is it possible to obtain more information regarding the typical performance characteristics of MEMS accelerometers? We are currently evaluating the LSM6DSO32 sensor, and the datasheet is mostly just +/- in terms of accuracy. We would like to see the performance graphs over a range of frequency / temperature / etc.

Dear Community, I am currently facing an issue related to locking an NFC tag after writing data to it. By "locking," I mean making the tag's data read-only, so that once the data is written, it cannot be modified or overwritten. The contents of the tag should be permanently locked after the initial write. This functionality is intended for use in a fintech application, where data integrity is crucial. Could you please guide me on how to implement this lock feature after writing to the tag? Thank you in advance for your support.My Write Function is working perfect private async void WriteDataToNfcCard(ICardReader reader, string data) { try { // Validate UPI link if (!data.StartsWith("upi://pay?")) { lblJustaSec.Invoke(new Action(() => { lblJustaSec.Text = "Input is not a valid UPI link."; AppendToTextConsole("Input is not a valid UPI link."); })); MessageBox.Show("Input is not a valid UPI link.", "Error", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Error); progressBar1.Visible =

Hi,I am starting to implement USB PD Sink application and i run into issue.I followed the AN5418.Seems the BSP_PWR_VBUSGetVoltage is Obsolete and i did not find any info how to implement it in alternative way. Dear experts, I am facing an issue when measuring a pack of 14 batteries Fenix ARB-L18-2600. When fully charge 4.23 Volt, the BMS63EN return around 4.0x Volt. When the batteries reduce to 4.12 Volt, the BMS63EN return ~3.98 Volt. Could experts tell me where and how to modify or calibrate the BMS63EN Board?. (I used the Autodevkitstudio-2.4 with both SPC58EC - AEK_POW_BMS63EN_SOC_Estimation_14Cells_GUI application for discovery and SPC58EC - AEK_POW_BMS63EN_SOC_Estimation_Single application for discovery example to measure but they still return same measurement error). I am really appreciating for your help. Best regards, Tri Huynh.

Hi All,I have a system with 2 SPI masters and a single slave very similar to this post from 2014:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/spi-multi-master-mode-with-stm32f050/td-p/502107What I would like to do is to temporarily isolate the STM32 SPI master from the bus when the second SPI master is in control.  I don't want to re-init the STM32 SPI between Master and Slave as it might affect the DMA setup so I was thinking of simply changing the CLK and MOSI lines temporarily to input, will this work? Something like this: Enable Master: LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_5, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE);  Isolate Master: LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_5, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_MODE_INPUT); Thanks,Hans.

Hi!I'm working with STM32CubeIDE and I want to send data via UART using the code below. char *msg = "Hello\n"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart6, (uint8_t *) msg, strlen(msg), 100); But I get an error like this:What can I do about this issue?

Split from: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/expected-declaration-specifiers-or-before/td-p/649225I had the same issue, looked for it on the internet, didn't get an answer, and I finally solved it right now:You cannot have ANYTHING after a backslash \ . For example, I defined mine like so:#define MY_MACRO(args) \  // The argument 'arg' does this thing - INVALID COMMENT    some_action(args)  // Here I do this, this, and this - COMPLETELY VALID HERE (the macro doesn't continue furthermore -> macro continuation is not violated)You cannot even put comments after this backslash (at least in C99 that I'm working on), because it breaks the macro continuation and the compiler gets confused over this, and then sees the next line ('some_action(args)') as some floating-in-the-air function call.Note: Though, as I showed in the example above, you can freely have a comment on the very last line of the macro.

I installed Cube 1.18.1 and selected STM32C0116-DK (STM32C0xx eval board) and created a test project. But when I open the .ioc file to check hw config I can see that there are warning signs on ADC1, TMR1, TMR3 and USART1. I disable SPI1 and USART2 but it doesn't remove USART2 in Pinout view, so I reset pins there. Warning signs on TMR1 and TMR3 disappear.Still warning on USART1 : "PB6 mapped with GPIO output", but PB6 is not in the GPIO Settings for USART1. PB6 is used by LED on eval board.How do I get rid of the warning?Also, ADC1 complains about conflict with DEBUG: Serial Wire. The odd thing is DEBUG is using PA13 and PA14, and I can't see that ADC1 is using any of those pins.Why is there no "Disable" for ADC1 ?

I have found another bug in SWDIO code generation. I previously reported that no code is generated for SWCLK, but if both are relocated, SWDIO is also incorrect. The .Alternate uses a define of GPIO_AF1_SYS, which does not exist in stm32wl3x_hal_gpio_ex.h. The correct define should be GPIO_AF1_SWDIO, which is.Generated code:GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF1_SYS;Correct to:GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF1_SWDIO;

I have a custom designed PCB board where I have used STM32L56 and W25Q256 along with other components. First, I was using SPI for interfacing but it was taking so much time when writing/reading MBs file. So I have to opt for QSPI now. L5 doesn't have specific QSPI, but using OSPI we can configure it as Quad SPI.So, my questions are1) what is difference between QSPI and OSPI as QSPI (command and working mechanism)2) will this code work for OSPI as QSPI3) if you have any test code for OSPI as QSPI, I can test and will modify it according to my needsLooking forward to your responseBelow are my configurations, code files with changes accordingly.void testQSPI(){ OSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef s_command = {0}; /*uint8_t pData[3]; uint8_t wData[0x100]; uint8_t rData[0x100];*/ uint8_t pData[3]; uint8_t wData[0x100]; uint8_t rData[0x100]; memset(pData, 0x00, sizeof(pData)); memset(wData, 0x00, sizeof(wData)); memset(wData, 0x00, sizeof(wData)); uint32_t i; printf("***************QuadSPi Example*******

Hi,I have STM32CubeIDE v1.13.2 installed and working quite fine.By default, it is using GCC ARM for STM32 v11.3rel1 (included in the default installation).I am trying to upgrade the Toolchain with more recent patched STM32 compilers.I have tried installing both GCC ARM for STM32 v12.3rel1 and GCC ARM for STM32 v13.3rel1 toolchains.With default v11.3rel1 and newest 13.3rel1, compilation is OK.But when using v12.3rel1, I encounter the following error: "c:/st/stm32cubeide_1.13.2/stm32cubeide/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.make.win32_2.1.0.202305091550/tools/bin/sh: nullgcc: not found" The toolchains installation seems fine, and I assume I have some issues with environment variables.When using v11.3rel1 and v13.3rel1 versions, the PATH variable (set to BUILD_SYSTEM by default) includes the "right" directories.For example, I have (with 13.3rel1):"C:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.13.2\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-

#define TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR ((uint16_t*) (0x08FFF814UL)) /* Address of parameter TS_CAL1: On STM32H5, temperature sensor ADC raw data acquired at temperature 30 DegC (tolerance: +-5 DegC), Vref+ = 3.3 V (tolerance: +-10 mV). */uint16_t regval = *TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR;as soon as this address is read, the CPU goes into Hardfault. I double checked the Address in the Datasheet..also restarts the CPU, when I try to show this Memory with the debugger.also tested it with a Nucleo-H563ZI.the same access with other STM32 CPUs (U5, L4 etc) work with no problems.
