Hello, I’m exploring how to convert the  PROFINET Community Stack into a working implementation on STM32.Specifically, without relying on commercial stacks like RT-Labs.Has anyone successfully ported the community stack to an STM32 platform? Any insights, examples, or guidance on integrating the stack with STM32  would be very helpful.

Hi I purchase a STEVAL MKBOXPro. It connects to phone and app fine but i'm having trouble to get the device connected to MEMS studio and Unicleo GUI  BLE Connection issue... 1. device manager detects STBOX but does not connect on MEMS studio and Unicleo GUI. I Problem with usbc connection.. 2. serial usbc sees COM9 with MEMBS studio but cannot connect to it when I hit connect button  Wondering what's causing the connection issue via bluetooth or via cable? I see a driver titled en.stsw-mkbox-bledk but i there is no exe button to install the driver.

Hi,I am trying to check if a button is pressed for 3s continuously using a timer which is started through an interrupt. The code for the same is attached below. The issue I am facing is the interrupt is immediately called when I press the button after reset, but it works fine for the consecutive times. void EXTI1_IRQHandler(void) { if (__HAL_GPIO_EXTI_GET_IT(RESET_Pin) != RESET) { __HAL_GPIO_EXTI_CLEAR_IT(RESET_Pin); // Clear the interrupt flag if( HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(RESET_GPIO_Port, RESET_Pin) == 0){ //FALLING Edge HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT(&htim2); }else{ //RISING EDGE if(!(TIM2->CR1 & TIM_CR1_CEN)){ __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(&htim2, 0); HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2); } } } } void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { /* USER CODE BEGIN Callback 0 */ /* USER CODE END Callback 0 */ if (htim->Instance == TIM8) { HAL_IncTick(); } /* USER CODE BEGIN Callback 1 */ if(htim->Instance == TIM2){ HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT

Hello everyone,I've been struggling with the ADC of a STM32G474QE on a custom board for some while now. I initially saw a discrepancy between an onboard NTC thermocouple and its measured ADC value. The measured Value (calculated to mV) was off by an average of 50mV over three boards. The impedance of the NTC circuit is reasonable low with 500ohm, which should result in no issues with this rather infrequent measurement with a a high sampling time. I then started seeing more of that behavior with other ADCs and their respective channels. There was always some offset in the measurement. To be able to quantify the offset, I ran a test, where i applied a dc voltage to the other channels, measured the voltage at the pin and compared it to the ADC values. (see attachment meas offset.png). I had very similar behavior on several boards. I then looked into ways to compensate this and started to implement measurements to Vrefint as injected samples after rerunning the ADC-calibration. (

I am working on a STM32N6570-DK board, and I am wondering how to start the MPU of the N6 core, when I start a touchgfx project, it can't work successfully. I hope that some additional information and some courses can be provided.

I am working on a STM32N6570-DK board and I noticed that the CN7 of the board can be modified as digital I/O pin or an ADC. So I want to make sure that when I use the A1 port of CN7 for example, and I want to use this port as a usart_tx. Then I can directly enable the PC10 as a usart_tx and disable the PA9 right? And I want to make sure that the modification don't damage the ADC function of PA9, since the MCU actually accept 0-1.8V and the 3.3V is too high.

Hello , everyone. I am currently working with the STM32N657X0H3Q device on the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q board.Following the official Template_FSBL_LRUN example, I successfully generated and signed both FSBL and Appli binaries using STM32CubeIDE and STM32_SigningTool_CLI v2.19.0. In DV Mode (BOOT1 = High), I programmed:The trusted FSBL binary to address 0x70000000The trusted Appli binary to address 0x70100000 After programming, I set the BOOT1 jumper back to low (BOOT1 = 0) to boot from external XSPI Flash. However, after reset, the board appears unresponsive — no LED blinking or visible activity from the Appli. As suggested in the documentation, I have enabled the NO_OTP_FUSE preprocessor macro in the FSBL project. I would appreciate your help in identifying why the application does not execute after the FSBL handover. You will find

Hi, I am using STM32F446RE Nucleo and a Peak CAN Usb to test the CAN functionality of the microcontroller. I have connected the Microcontroller to a CAN Transceiver (TJA1050) and added a 120ohm resistor between the CANH and CANL line. I have attached the config of the CAN hardware below   hcan1.Instance = CAN1; hcan1.Init.Prescaler = 42; hcan1.Init.Mode = CAN_MODE_NORMAL; hcan1.Init.SyncJumpWidth = CAN_SJW_1TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeSeg1 = CAN_BS1_2TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeSeg2 = CAN_BS2_1TQ; hcan1.Init.TimeTriggeredMode = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoBusOff = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoWakeUp = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.ReceiveFifoLocked = DISABLE; hcan1.Init.TransmitFifoPriority = DISABLE;   When I transmit a message using the Peak CAN, I get  "Frame stuff error (Rx)". I have already attempted to Change the baud rate Remove the resistor Tried a different Peak CAN Changed the Transceiver (3 times)   Is the issue from the Transceiver or t

Hi AllGreetingsIm using the SBSFU folder from b-U585-IOT2A and was successfully running the codes. When updated the cube ide to latest version v1.18 from version v1.17, the following compilation is occuring in the Secure ApplicationError message:"C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.15.0/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.13.3.rel1.win32_1.0.0.202411081344/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/13.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.15.0/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.13.3.rel1.win32_1.0.0.202411081344/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/13.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/lib/thumb/v8-m.main+fp/hard\libc_nano.a(libc_a-gettimeofdayr.o): note: the message above does not take linker garbage collection into account"and the compilation is failing. Hello, I want to buy STEVAL-WLC38RX product..I can't sell it online.. may I know where I can buy it?

Hi guys,I'm working on a pretty simple cable replacement client/server program to exchange data form one device to another. When I enable traces in CubeMX for the WPAN/BLE part, my STM32WB5 is visible (I can see it from my phone or using a Nordic USB Dongle, connect to it and exchange data). All traces go to USART1.Then, since everything works, I disable traces (CFG_HW_USART1_ENABLED to Disabled, CFG_DEBUG_* to Disabled, BLE_DBG_APP_EN to Disabled, etc.). At this point, I can't see anymore my device in the phone list even tough aci_gap_set_discoverable returns 0.I don’t understand how disabling traces can prevent the rest of the BLE stack from running.Any help on this would be appreciated.Thx !

Hi all,Could you show me the temperature accuracy of LIS2DW12 ?Thanks all,

When evaluating the st25R3916b chip using the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 development board, we found that the current reached about 100-150ma during the nfc reading and writing process. However, we did not find the standard value for this part of the current in the manual. May I ask if there are any official typical current values for this chip or development board during nfc reading and writing for our reference? What is the minimum current that this chip can achieve when reading and writing in nfc?

I want to use the PM8805 as POE controller in a custom project for a 25W classified POE device. The PM8805 should generate the input power for 2 boards in this device. However, when connecting only one board with approx. 30uF input capacitance, the power supply works without any problem. But when connecting the 2nd board with approx. 20uF additional capacitance, the power supply fails and the PM8805 is in a state, where it tries to switch on repeatedly and gets certainly hot. The POE LED on my switch is constantly lit in this situation. My understanding of this behaviour is that it is caused by the overall inrush current out of the PM8805 into the 2 boards!?To be able to develop an inrush current limiter without using the "real" boards, i bought a STEVAL-POE001V1 which i got on my table now.Connecting the STEVAL-POE001V1 to my little POE-switch (TL-SG105PE) without any load makes the power-LED (D2 - blue) blinking with approx. 1s interval and so the POE-LED of my switch. (With a mul

Hi, I am new for ST, currently I am build the data logger for power monitoring which is used the M95P32-I to store log data and ESP32S3 is used to process data received. Can I know there have any guideline or source code for this M95P32-I EEPROM for some configuration, write and read data?

I am confused about the limits of the FT pins on this MCU. I think I understand the maximum voltage on an FT pin except FT_c is Vdd + 4V as long as no pulls are enabled. So with 3.3V Vdd the max voltage on most FT pins will be 8.3V is that correct? Its a bit confusing where that footnote is placed.Beyond that, given the voltage limit is 8.3V how does it matter if the positive injection current limit is 0mA? That means I need an infinitely large resistor to prevent any injection current when the voltage is over Vdd. Or does N/A mean there is no current limit so long as the voltage is not exceeded?Thank you.

Is the internal bootloader on the STM32H723 DO-178 certified?   It just dawned on me that the whole line of CPUs might be disqualified for aircraft use because the bootloader code "flies" with the aircraft and all such code must be certified to the level declared by the system (DAL levels A-D).   Do you have avionics customers that use these?  Can the bootloader be erased?Regards,Mark

Hallo all:I want to implement a generic counter to count the number of impulses on an input, but after debouncing.I guess that mechanical switches for human interface purposes need a debouncing in the milliseconds range, say 1 ms to 20 ms. My Systick interrupt runs every millisecond, so I can sample the input there (with an appropriate prescaler implemented in software), which should take care of debouncing. If the input comes from a clean, high-speed signal, I can use a hardware timer like TIM1 in order to count impulses on input TIM1_CH1. I can do some level of debouncing with its built-in hardware input filter, but if the signal is clean, then probably no debouncing is necessary. The trouble is at mid input frequencies. I am thinking of some signal source which is faster than switches typical for human interfaces, but not completely clean (with some bouncing). Is that a plausible scenario at all?I am using an STM32F407. I have set APB1 to its maximum speed of 42 MHz, and APB2 to 84 Mh

Hello.I have problems turning BLE on and off on STM32WB55.Many examples with BLE start with the linesMX_APPE_Config(); MX_IPCC_Init(); MX_RF_Init(); MX_APPE_Init();I do the same, and it turns on right away. I don't know how to initialize the sequencer and timeservers by themselves without BLE, so for now, I found a workaround. I turn it off using the RTC timer using the code the esteemed @FilipKremen provided mestatic void BLE_exit() { tBleStatus ret; if (BleApplicationContext.Device_Connection_Status != APP_BLE_IDLE) { ret = aci_gap_terminate(BleApplicationContext.BleApplicationContext_legacy.connectionHandle, 0x13); if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { APP_DBG_MSG("aci_gap_terminate(), Failed \r\n\r"); } else { APP_DBG_MSG("aci_gap_terminate(), Successfully \r\n\r"); } } ret = aci_hal_stack_reset(); if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { APP_DBG_MSG("aci_hal_stack_reset(), Failed \r\n\r"); } else { APP_DBG_MSG("aci_hal_stack_res

I am trying to use a G431 as an I2C device (slave). Unfortunately it can be made to latch up rather easily, getting stuck with an endlessly triggering I2C interrupt. It appears to be a flaw in the HAL code where it doesn't clear the interrupt flags, possibly due to its internal state machine being out of sync with reality. There are two situations that can cause this to happen. 1. The bus host (master) starts transactions back to back too quickly. Adding a 1ms delay between transactions fixes the problem.2. DMA is used for reception, but the host stops sending data early. I.e. HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Receive_DMA() is called with a certain buffer size, but the number of bytes sent by the host is less than that size. I thought that switching to interrupts instead of DMA might help, but it doesn't. It seems like the rate of interrupts triggering can cause the stuck-in-interrupt issue, but I have not deeply debugged it yet. It seems like a reasonable implementation of the DMA

Hi,I have just set up a fresh and clean STM32F466 project in CubeMX which makes use of a UART and a bunch of GPIOs. right after generating the code (and prior to changing ANYTHING at the generated code!), I get the following compile error in CubeIDE:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.11.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.200.202301161003\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe:C:\F\motion\STM32F446RETX_FLASH.ld:88: non constant or forward reference address expression for section .ARM.extabAny idea how to fix that? Thanks!

Hi,I am using a Nucleo32 F411RE to control a 2.9inch flexible E-Ink raw display panel from WaveShare. I use their circuit and a copied version of their code they have on their website. The code sends SPI commands over SPI1 of the F411RE and controls Chip Select and other gpio pins at GPIO port A. (PA1, PA2, PA3, PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7). The problem is that when using SPI1 the GPIO pins dosent change state as should. I have tried the code without SPI and can see with my oscilloscope that the pins behave as they should. When enabling SPI again the pins stop working.I am using HAL for both SPI transmit and GPIO write but have also tried direkt register manipulation for GPIO write without success.A workaround is moving all GPIOs to a other port, such as port C, and then everything works without any problem. This is however not an alternetive as my PCB already is orderd.  Why can't SPI1 and GPIOA work simultaniusly and how can I fix so that they can?

Hello, me again. So I tried to validate a file through cubeAI and ST Edge AI. But always stops by a build problem. Here is what I do with the CLI:I followed the Getting started - How to evaluate a model on STM32N6 board .First I generated the things inside the right file. Its done without any problem. Then, Because I am using the Nucleo board, I used this command.python C:\Appl\ST\STEdgeAI\2.0\scripts\N6_scripts\n6_loader.py --n6-loader-config C:\Appl\ST\STEdgeAI\2.0\scripts\N6_scripts\config_n6l.json(I tried to use the normal one without --n6-loader-config but not working, also build error, so I tried this one) And my json scripts are like this:However the out come is not right, build error:And it gives out a comic outcome: I dont know why it have such a error worning.By the GUI from CubeMX, the log is almost the same.So I have no idea why, the only reason I can think of is that I dont have a Nucleo board validation program:As you can see here, it only have a DK board proj
