Hi, with STM32F030C8T6, I am implemeting MODBUS protocol in RTU (Slave) with UART as physicsl layer. I use QModMaster (A master simulation software run in PC). I use oscilloscope to probe the actual information through the RS485.Recently I inplemented different baudrate and parity settings. While testing, I observed that data sent from master (QModMaster software running in PC) is correctly intrepreted by STM32 even when paity is flipped. For example, if master sends a data with Even parity, STM32 undertsand the data for both EVen paity as well as Odd paity. Buut when no paity is set in STM32, data is not understood by it. Similarly, if I set Odd paity in master, even then data is unserstood by STM32 is correct with Even paity and Odd paity.I am not so happy since this works in this way.For your info I have pasted by UART init code below:void USART1_Init(void){// Enable GPIOB and USART1 clocksRCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOBEN;RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_USART1EN;// --- PB5 as

I have a new STM32MP157D-DK1.  I have booted the board using the enclosed SD card and all appears to be working.  The green LED next to CN6 is on, blue LED8 starts flashing a few seconds after power on.  One of the block of 4 red LEDs next to the ST-LINK connector is flashing.  I have connected the ST-LINK CN11 to a USB port on my Windows 11 laptop.  I was assuming that the ST-LINK would be detected by Windows and would appear in the list of devices.  However, I see nothing at all.  No ST-LINK, no virtual COM ports.  I have tried different power supplies for the board, different USB cables for the ST-LINK and different USB ports on the laptop. Is there something else I need to do to see the ST-LINK or does this indicate the board might have a fault? My aim was to run a very simple program on the CM4 processor using Cube IDE but so far all it says is No ST-LINK detected.  I have various other STM32 dev boards and the ST-LINK and COM ports

I have a Nucleo WB55RG board with in built ST-Link.I programmed it with a blinky LED & a UART message "Hi there!\n" via the CubeIDE on a different PC & it all works fine. TeraTerm has no problem selecting the ST-Link device connected to the PCNow running it on a new PC I keep getting "No ST-Link Detected" when trying to download from CubeTeraTerm cant find any COM ports when the board is plugged in but can find Arduino devices communicating via serial with no problem when they are plugged in.The device doesn't even show up in the Device Manager.I have installed ST-Link drivers & have successfully programmed other Nucleo boards with this PC in the past. When the board is plugged in  the com LED next to the ST USB flashes red & LED5 is on-redI have uninstalled & reinstalled the latest ST-Link version but nothing.I'm on USB cable number 3 so I doubt that a ddgy cable is th eissue unless I'm unlucky enough to have 3 failed cables.

Hello,I am trying to implment MODBUS Slave RTU with STM32F030C8T6. I havce used RS485 for physical layer for communication. As per MODBUS protocol, a stream of 8 bit data will be sent from Master.  As a first step slave must capture all the data in an array, then process the data, do the required action and send back data.In MODBUS if there is silence of more than 3.65 milli seconds (for Baudrate of 9600) slave can decice that Masfet has finished the data transfer.I have used UART1 in Interrupt mode (RXNE) to receive the UART data and fill it in the array. Whenever a character is recived by UART, I reset the timer 3 to restart the timing of 3.65mS. If no data comes from UART for more than 3.65ms, slave will decide as teh frame is completed and start next actions. As of now, to analyze the received data, I used conditional statements and digital outputs inside while loop. I have oscilloscope too. Now the issue is. When ever board is restarted and, first frame is sent, timer

Is the 'stm32-external-loader' repository still maintained? The stm32-external-loader contrib branch has not been updated in over 5 years.  There are currently 7 open pull requests with updates to support new flash ICs.  Some of these PR are 4 or 5 years old.The ST MOOC external loader course encouraged developers to add their drivers and many have.  Does anyone from ST know why these updates were never considered for the contrib branch?

Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible and how to approach reserving/allocating a section of internal flash (The Resource section) for a FatFs file?

Hi, I'm just struggling with the same problem. I use SPI with DMA non-circular mode and want a callback for receive complete. I can set the callback function with HAL_DMA_RegisterCallback but in HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA it will be overwritten: /* Set the SPI Tx/Rx DMA Half transfer complete callback */ hspi->hdmarx->XferHalfCpltCallback = SPI_DMAHalfTransmitReceiveCplt; hspi->hdmarx->XferCpltCallback = SPI_DMATransmitReceiveCplt; Edit: Post moved from original thread How to know the when the DMA transfer done?, to give a chance to be answered. Please precise if you are using U5 as original one.

HI，  I am developing ble audio application with the STM32WBA55G-DK1 board, i refered the BLE_Audio_TMAP_Peripheral project. Now my phone can paired with the board and when i play the music, the ble audio stream can setup successfully. But then the application enter WWDG_IRQHandler, i debug the applicaiton and analyzed the WWDG register, the register of WWDG_CR was 0x7F, WWDG was not actived, so i think it was very strange, then i  wrote WWDG_IRQHandler function myself to replace the original definition.void WWDG_IRQHandler(void){while(1);}But when i test again, a new abornal interrupt WKUP_IRQHandler was trigged. Then i wrote WKUP_IRQHandle fuction myself, and tested again.Another abormal interface WKUP_S_IRQHandler was triggerd. So it is very strange, these abnormal interrupt were disabled, but why these abornal interrupts can be triggered? The final log output is as follows.55.83 CAP Event: 0x3655.84 Media Player Instance with CCID 2 is active to

Hi I just wanted to ask which of the two processors is actually more powerful. The H733 seems faster, but according to Google AI, the H753 offers better performance :). What’s your take on it? Thank youBR

Hi,I am currently working with the STM32C091CBT6 microcontroller and am looking for suitable development hardware. My primary questions are:Is there an official STM32 Discovery kit or Nucleo board specifically designed for the STM32C091CBT6 microcontroller? If so, could you please provide the part number or a link to its product page?If a dedicated development board for the STM32C091CBT6 is not available, what is the recommended approach for using the NUCLEO-C092RC board with the STM32C091CBT6 microcontroller? Specifically, I am interested in understanding: * Are the pinouts compatible enough for direct connection or would an adapter be necessary? Thank you for your time and assistance with this matter. I look forward to your guidance.BR,

when i click the ffmpeg.exe with my computer win10 system, it can't run and flick to cancel , how to solve this issue ？

Hi,I want to generate a timeslot control signal consisting of one 10-microsecond pulse followed by fifteen 2-microsecond pulses.I want the period to remain constant, aligned on the falling edge.My problem is that before and after the long pulse, the period changes, and I don’t know how to fix it.I have:instead of: I use two methods and i am not able to make both of them work.Here is my code:Method 1 : Timer1 16 in PWM mode void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if( htim->Instance == TIM16) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_SET); else { if(htim->Instance->RCR>0) { htim->Instance->RCR=0; htim->Instance->CCR1=g_TSC_Long_Low_Pulse_Duration-1; } else { htim->Instance->RCR=(g_TSC_Max_TimeSlotsToRun-1)-1; htim->Instance->CCR1=g_TSC_Short_Low_Pulse_Duration-1; } } } } Method 2: time base (Tim 6)typedef enum { PULSE_LOW, PULSE_HIGH } PulseState;

Hi,We are using the OTA BLE example as the base for our bootloader on a STM32WB55.I'm reading through AN5247, and it describes the advertising message as follows:But the advertising message that I get has all its Feature Group B bits set to 0. I tracked the a_ManufData across the project's code and after initialisation, it's only changed to add the BLE address, and the value of 0x20 mentioned in the AN5247 is never set anywhere. Also, the first row in table 4 above lists length as 8, I think it should be set to 13 (12 for the data + 1 for the AD type). Is that an error on the bootloader project or the application note? Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hi Im a bit new. I'm following a tutorial and i cant find the SPI_ICS like the guy on the video on the picture did.Its a STM32L432KBUTutorial pic: My STM32:

Hi,I'm confused about the maximum data transfer of the STM32H723ZG. The overview says:2×16-bit ADC, up to 3.6 MSPS in 16-bit: up to 18 channels and 7.2 MSPS in double-interleaved modeThen the 'AN5354 -  Getting started with the STM32H7 Series MCU 16-bit ADC' also mentions these data rates for the H7 series but not specifically the STM32H723ZG. This application note also specifies a huge discrepancy between different packages and rates:Then, assuming these numbers correspond to the direct channels, what are the data rates for the fast or even slow channels?  Also, CubeMX doesn't clearly indicate which ADC channels are direct, fast or slow, maybe this is a functionality that could be added?

If I select STM32CubeIDE as the toolchain, I encounter the following error during compilation. However, if I switch the toolchain to EWARM, the project compiles without any errors.I’ve attached the .ioc file and build log for reference. Could you please help analyze what might be causing the issue?Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi Guys,I am planning to start a project where I require BLE and Zigbee dynamic concurrency. After going through the datasheet OF STM32WB55, under dynamic application section, I could see that the mcu acts as either BLE Peripheral/ Zigbee Router.(Also I'm attaching an image of this)Is this dynamic concurrency possible for BLE Central/Zigbee Coordinator, as in my project, my device should control both BLE and Zigbee devices.Thank You

When generating code with CubeMx version 6.14.1 there is a new bug (compared to version 6.13.0 where it worked fine).MCU: STM32U5A5QJIxQPeripherals: ADC1/2 and/or ADC4RCC Clocksource: SYSCLKWhen you change parameter setting in ADC_Settings "Clock Prescaler" it has no effect on generated code. There should be following code (was generated like this in version 6.13.0):LL_ADC_CommonInitTypeDef ADC_CommonInitStruct = {0}; ... ADC_CommonInitStruct.CommonClock = LL_ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV4; LL_ADC_CommonInit(__LL_ADC_COMMON_INSTANCE(ADC1), &ADC_CommonInitStruct);The ADC clock prescaler setting is common for all ADCs and DAC, but in version 6.14.1 there is no code generated which sets the prescaler anywhere!

Dear STM32 Community,I'm currently working on a bare-metal project with the STM32H723VG using the LwIP stack. I've implemented a TCP Echo Server based on the examples provided in the STM32Cube repository. The application works as expected when I open a new socket connection from my PC for each request—i.e., I send a message, receive the correct 193-byte response, and then close the socket. However, if I maintain a persistent socket connection and send multiple messages (without closing the connection), I begin to encounter an issue: after approximately 30 successful requests, the server starts responding with only partial data—typically between 5 and 30 bytes instead of the full 193 bytes. If I then close and reopen the socket, the server resumes responding correctly for another 30 or so requests.I've verified that socket creation and teardown are functioning correctly on both the client and server sides. This behavior seems to suggest an issue related to buffer management or resource ex

Hi,I am building a 3L Buck Converter with MPPT tracking, using the STM32G474CBT6.The STEVAL-10MLPVCB has a very similar concept to what I want to achieve, I based my MCU choice and other details on it.Is it possible to obtain the source code / CubeIDE files for the STEVAL-10MLPVCB? Thank you,Janik

Greetings,We're a small team designing a board around the STM32N6 and need a large external memory (e.g. 64MB of SDRAM). Due to the complexity of routing and configuring timings I wonder if there exists a reference design for such a circuit, or at least for another MCU that's sufficiently similar that we can use it as a starting point. Any guidance would be very much appreciated.Regards,OV

I have created several projects in TouchGFX Designer v4.22.1 - each with a unique 'Application Name'. I'm using the STM32H747i-DISCO boards (dual-core MCU). When I import any of these into CubeIDE v1.13.2, they always show up with this type of structure in CubeIDE:STM32H747I-DISCO  (in STM32CubeIDE)  > Application  > Drivers  > STM32H747I-DISCO_CM4  (in CM4)  > STM32H747I-DISCO_CM7  (in CM7)     STM32H747I-DISCO.iocThe problem is that CubeIDE will only allow ONE of these projects to be in its 'workspace' at any given time. The projects that were first created in CubeIDE don't have this issue. Is there a way in TouchGFX to make it such that its projects import into CubeIDE with a unique name for each?

Hey, I'm designing an stm32mpu1 board and I have the Discovery Kit (DK) as a reference design. In the DK I see the following schematic for the USB-C power supply (CN7): I am not quite sure what the point of the MOSFETS is.For the other USB-C (CN6) I see MOSFETS AND Bipolar transistors:Can someone explain what they are for? I'm trying to decide weather I need them in my design or not. Until now I always just connected the power supply to my PMIC and all I ever needed was some ESDs for protection and decoupling/bulk caps.

Dear Sir/Madam,Good day~I am currently using STM32F439ZI for the purpose of developing BMS.However, the code size exceed the internal Flash capacity, which is 2MB.To address this, I intend to add an external Flash (MXIC:MX25L25645G).May I know whether the external Flash can connect to any of the six SPIs available on the STM32F439ZI?or there are specific SPIs for interfacing with external Flash?Any guidance would be appreciated.Vince

Hello, I have been stuck on this issues where I cannot get my SPI slave running on the STM32H755 to successfully do full duplex communication. Right now I want the simplest case to work where the SPI master, also an STM32H755, sends a 16 bit data payload with a 16 bit attached CRC (so 4 byte total SPI frame) on the MOSI line. For simplicity, I am trying to send 0x5555 on the 16 bit data payload on the SPI slave over MISO with the HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() function. For now I am ignoring the received data. Right now I have the SPI master successfully sending a dummy 16 bit data at 100 Hz. The problem is that the SPI slave is failing to send anything over MISO. From debugging it seems the issue is with using DMA. On the first call to HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() i go into the SPI error callback and i get HAL_SPI_ERROR_DMA from HAL_SPI_GetError(). On the second call, I get an SPI error code of 0x94 which I'm not sure what the meaning is as it doesnt correspond to
