I'm working with TouchGFX, in my project I include n files that are needed for the hardware I use, a custom hardware with STM32F429II...They are variable interchange files between the TouchGFX engine and my hardware. The entire project works when it is compiled and programmed on the target, while it doesn't work when I start the simulator: gcc, during compilation, does not find the files I include. Can anyone help me resolve the problem?

Using a custom board.Used CubeMX and CubeIDE to develop the code which is attached to this post.A read of WHO_AM_I_A results with the command in rxData[0] and nothing in rxData[1].Same thing happens when reading registers.

Hi,I got several FreeMarker template errors when I tried to compile the code to test out EVLSPIN32G0A1. I'm using a Nucleo-F446RE board and have successfully flashed my application code to Sector 5 of the internal flash memory. The code runs correctly right after flashing, but it does not run after a reset or power cycle. It seems the MCU still boots from the default start address (Sector 0), and doesn't automatically jump to Sector 5. :question_mark:My main questions are: How can I make the STM32F446RE boot from Sector 5 after every reset? Is it necessary to place a custom bootloader at Sector 0 that manually jumps to the application code at Sector 5? Is there any other way? Any guidance would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm facing a frustrating issue and would really appreciate any help or insight you could provide.I’m trying to get the STM32WB55CGU6 into STOP2 mode, but I consistently see current consumption over 600 µA, both on my custom PCB and on the WeActStudio.STM32WB55CoreBoard. I’ve been stuck here for days and can’t make progress with my project because of this. Here’s what I’ve done so far:Thoroughly studied AN5071 and AN5289.Read several community posts and blogs from users with similar problems.Ported the official examples PWR_STOP2_RTC and PWR_EnterStopMode to my MCU.Verified that the project builds correctly and behaves as expected, except for the power consumption.Despite following all the steps I could find, the current remains way too high. I would expect it to be in the range of a few microamps. Here’s a screenshot from my PPK2 measurements: (I would expect that when LED is off, the STOP2 mode would be much more evident in terms of consumption)To be extra sure, I follo

Hello, I'm struggling with frequent overcurrent faults at the EVSPIN32G4 board.I found some mismatch of current sensing with 3-shunt and 2-OPAMP topology.Default current sensing for EVSPIN32G4 is described as following diagram at motor control workbench. But, the EVSPIN32G4 schematic drawing is as follows. It is a mismatch of the MC workbench and the schematic of EVSPIN32G4  [MC workbench : W Phase] OPAMP2 (+) : PB0, OPAMP2 (-) : PC5, OPAMP2 (out) : PA6[Schematic: V Phase]  OPAMP2 (+) : PA7, OPAMP2 (-) : PC5, OPAMP2 (out) : PA6  I'm wondering about this mismatch and it might be the cause of overcurrent fault.  Thanks for any advice in advance.

I am working on FDCAN communication using an STM32G0B1CCT6 microcontroller. I am trying to perform a simple Tx/Rx loopback test (and later communication with external tools like Vehicle Spy), but I am facing the following problem: FDCAN is not transmitting or receiving any message. I have configured the peripheral in Normal mode with the following settings: Clock: 64 MHz Bitrate: 1 Mbps Prescaler: 16, TimeSeg1: 13, TimeSeg2: 2, SJW: 1 Frame Format: Classic CAN Auto-Retransmission: Enabled I also added a filter (Filter 0) to accept all standard IDs into RX FIFO 0, but still no data is received. FDCAN init and message send/receive functions return HAL_OK, but no actual communication happens on the bus. I’ve verified the transceiver wiring (ISO1044), and I'm testing using Vehicle Spy and ValueCAN4. I’ve also tried internal loopback, but still no response.

Hi there, I'm trying to program LSM6DSV80x to read sensor values in -500Hz for a certain period of time and send them for process (thus no realtime process, but need timestamps).  The sensor values include xl, hg_xl, gyro, and also Game rotation vector, gravity calculated by SFLP.  According to the use case, all values will be read through FIFO.  Mostly works well but I've come up with two questions.  - What timestamp means? Is it time of the latest FIFO entry,  or of the next FIFO entry, or irrelevant with other entries?- for game rotation vector, I got two consequtive entries having TAG=19 in FIFO everytime,  at the same timing.  Those two entries have completely different values. With the application note and the post in this forum, I understand the FIFO  entry for game rotation vector hold only x, y, z elements and w needs to be calculated at the host side.  For example (the order is, w - which I calculate, x, y, z):LSM6DSV80X_

I've been working on my own code for using USB DFU with our device and it is failing with the downloadFile call. I decided to test with the CLT (command line tools) and am seeing similar results. If I tell STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe to use the STLINK-V3SET with my hex file, it pushes the file without issue: However, if I put the device into USB DFU mode, it fails as such:  This failure output is the same failure output I get when running STM32CubePrgAPI - USB_Example, as well as when I run my own application.  The HEX file being used is the same in all instances. I've also tried using the corresponding ELF file. The device is an STM32H747XI and should load code at 0x08000000 as shown. I do however have a modified linker file that defines a NOINIT section at the top of the DTCM block, as well as some data that is shared between the CM4 and CM7 cores in the top of the RAM D3 block. Could these be the source of the errors when trying to use USB DFU? Thanks, C-C

Hello,I’ve been reviewing the current consumption section (Section 7.4) of the VL53L8CH datasheet.I’m currently using the Detection Thresholds plugin, and I would like to ask:Which power mode does this correspond to?Continuous mode (Table 15)?Autonomous mode (Table 16)?When Detection Thresholds are enabled, what are the assumed internal ranging settings (e.g., frame rate or integration time)?Additionally, if we reduce the integration time to 1 ms, could you clarify:How much power savings can we expect?Would this affect detection reliability or ranging stability?Thank you for your support.

I have purchased STM32F103c8t6 microcontrollers from three different vendors, but they are behaving differently.I am working on CAN, and on the microcontrollers from one vendor, it is working properly. But on the microcontrollers from other two vendors it is having issues with receiving CAN data. I am using same firmware on all microcontrollers and the CAN bus hardware is also same. by just replacing the microcontroller from different vendors I am having issues. So, what could be the issue which is causing the receiving issues with microcontroller. I tried lowering the baud rate from 500,000 to 40,000 as I thought that it is having issues with high frequency. but it still is not working. The problem is only for receiving, it is able to transmit properly. I also set a breakpoint inside the receive callback function, but the program is not even going there. The microcontroller which is working properly  The microcontrollers which have issues with receiving data.

Hi,I read (here) that it's possible to use a Nucelo board's in-built ST-Link Vn debugger to program/debug a custom STM32 board. However, I have a doubt about this. Please can anyone tell me whether such an approach is possible? I have available two Nucleo's: STM32F429 and STM32H755, and if either can be used to debug my custom H755 board that would be very good.Advice about how to connect boards would be much appreciated.Purchasing a debugger is obviously an option, but I don't like spending money. Thanks

Moved from STM32H7B0 DFSDM Synchronization: Abnormal Clock Output During Register Configuration to a new thread in STM32CubeMX forum.   Thank you for your detailed instructions!I set a breakpoint as you suggested and found that the audio clock is indeed generated as you said, but its behavior is abnormal, and not modified by codes after.Unfortunately, I cannot measure the waveform of the audio clock (DFSDM1 ACLK) directly, as it is not mapped to any IO output by default.  To debug this, I re-mapped the DFSDM1 clock output (DFSDM1_CKOUT) from PC2_C to PB0. Surprisingly, the clock waveform on PB0 is now output correctly at the expected frequency (2.4MHz). This suggests a potential issue with the original GPIO pin PC2_C. Could this be due to accidental ESD damage to PC2_C? I would greatly appreciate your insights on whether this pin re-mapping approach is feasible for long-term use, or if there are better ways to diagnose/recover the original pin f

Hello,  I am currently in the midst of developing a super simple system to create a varying load. It's basically to resistors in series with a transistor in parallel of the second resistor. The transistor is driven by a PWM signal to bypass the second resistor and modify the load.I've been trying the circuit with a function generator and it's working perfectly.I now need to switch the PWM generation to a timer of a STM32. I have a nucleog474RE.I used one of the example code available via cubeIDE (TIM_PWMOutput) and changed the frequency to match what i need (3.2kHz) but whenever I try and use my circuit with it, the signal generated by the nucleo is nowhere near clean and smooth, there is a huge jitter that basically renders my circuit useless (I need very high precision and stability). Would any one have any idea why this is happening and what to do to correct it ? Thanks for the answers !

Hi I am currently trying to realise a motor control project for my custom designed circuit board using the STM32 G474 VE microcontroller. I found the motor control workbench by stm which allows me to relatively easy configure the control algorithm in a user interface which is beneficial as I am an electrical engineer and not a programmer. However the software only allows me to configure the system for STM boards and a range of specific motors. Is there any way to adopt the project for my system.  I would be really happy if someone could help me in this matter.

I have started looking at using the Azure RTOS package for my project but see it has since become Eclipse RTOS? Is STM supporting this RTOS anymore as I see the H7S3 Azure RTOS package was only updated seven months ago whereas the H7 branch as updated more recently? Is it still secure?

Hi,I need to configure the I2C master on my STM32G491 to operate in a multimaster setup. It is currently connected to a slave device, but we also plan to connect another I2C master to the same bus. The slave device supports I2C multimaster communication. On the STM32 side, do I need to enable any specific settings to support multimaster mode? From community forums and FAQs, I’ve learned that I need to handle arbitration loss and bus errors, and then retry the transmission. Is that sufficient, or is there anything else I should check for?

Hello, Where can I find information, such as flash memory layout, RAM addressing, peripherals configuration for the SMT32WL5MOC ? The product page has quite a few documents, but nothing that is really usefull for developing firmware....

Hello,     I am trying to work with a st25r3918 rfid(should be very similar to st25r3916 and the st25r3916 driver should cover its functionality as I have understood).    I am trying to validate the interrupts(mainly the nfc for tag reading but for the moment a wake-up timer would be enough)    I have set GPIO2 on arduino uno board as INT pin as I have read that only GPIOs 2 and 3 can be set for hardware irqs     And I've found this code snippet in arduino st25r3916 lib to validate irq handling: /** Check IRQ Handling:* - use the Wake-up timer to trigger an IRQ* - wait the Wake-up timer interrupt* - return ERR_TIMEOUT when the Wake-up timer interrupt is not received*/st25r3916WriteRegister(ST25R3916_REG_WUP_TIMER_CONTROL, ST25R3916_REG_WUP_TIMER_CONTROL_wur | ST25R3916_REG_WUP_TIMER_CONTROL_wto);st25r3916EnableInterrupts(ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_WT);st25r3916ExecuteCommand(ST25R3916_CMD_START_WUP_TIMER);if (st25r3916WaitForInterrupt

Hello ST Community,I'm working on a project using STM32H7 (Waveshare OpenH7XXI-C board) with TouchGFX 4.25.My hardware setup:External QSPI flash (W25Q128) for storing bitmap/image assetsExternal SDRAM (IS42S16400J - 16MB) for framebuffer and runtime buffersDisplay resolution: 1024×600, color format: RGB888Due to hardware design limitations, I'm unable to increase the QuadSPI speed (track length and plug-n-play module constraints).I’ve observed that during frequent screen updates, some parts of the background image get re-read from QSPI, resulting in flickering. This becomes more noticeable when using large fonts, wildcard text updates, or redrawing images. My goal:I want TouchGFX to:Load image/bitmap assets (stored in QSPI) only once at startupCopy them into SDRAMReuse from SDRAM on future redraws — avoiding repeated QSPI readsMy Questions:What is the recommended method to configure TouchGFX for caching QSPI images into SDRAM once? How should I modify the linker script (.ld) to reserve a

Hello ST team,I am currently working on NUCLEO-N657X0-Q (STM32N6) device using a FSBL (Secure Bootloader) an APPSecure and an AppNS (Non-Secure Application). The FSBL is correctly loaded first and then jumps to the AppSecure which jumps to the AppNS. Everything is working well when I prog all the apps separately using STM32CubeProgrammerHowever, I'm facing difficulty debugging the AppNS easily (which is actually my end application) with STM32CUBEIDEMy questions:What is the ST recommended method to debug an AppNS project ?Is it recommended to boot directly into AppNS during development (bypassing FSBL temporarily)?(= Should I move my AppNS temporarily to the boot address, and later re-add the FSBL before production?)Any other ways ? Any official guidance, best practices, or documentation references would be very helpful! Thanks a lot for your support,Best regards,Johan

All control signals seem to be good: `DEN`, `VSYNC`, `HSYNC`, `CLK`. but pixel signals (R0 ~ R7, G0 ~ G7, B0 ~ B7) are always low. 1) DEN. 2) HSYNC. 3) VSYNC. 4) CLKalthough control signals correctly work, no pixel data lanes do not. Code that generated by CubeIDE: (this can show my configuration well than CubeIDE screenshot I think)LTDC_LayerCfgTypeDef pLayerCfg = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN LTDC_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END LTDC_Init 1 */ hltdc.Instance = LTDC; hltdc.Init.HSPolarity = LTDC_HSPOLARITY_AL; hltdc.Init.VSPolarity = LTDC_VSPOLARITY_AL; hltdc.Init.DEPolarity = LTDC_DEPOLARITY_AL; hltdc.Init.PCPolarity = LTDC_PCPOLARITY_IPC; hltdc.Init.HorizontalSync = 7; hltdc.Init.VerticalSync = 7; hltdc.Init.AccumulatedHBP = 15; hltdc.Init.AccumulatedVBP = 20; hltdc.Init.AccumulatedActiveW = 335; hltdc.Init.AccumulatedActiveH = 260; hltdc.Init.TotalWidth = 391; hltdc.Init.TotalHeigh = 268; hltdc.Init.Backcolor.Blue = 0x00; hltdc.Init.Backcolor.Green

I’m trying to read the 3-component “game rotation” quaternion out of the LSM6DSV80X’s FIFO, but every time I pop a FIFO record I get three half-precision floats [x,y,z] where x is always zero and y,z look plausible. When I read the same fusion engine registers directly (not via FIFO), I get a full four-component quaternion [w,x,y,z] where x is nonzero—as expected. Ive connected the STEVAL-MKI247A to my ESP 32 via SPI with the following configuration // Define SPI pins #define CS_PIN 5 // Chip Select pin #define SCK_PIN 18 // SPI Clock pin #define INT_PIN 25 // Interrupt pin #define MOSI_PIN 23 // Master Out Slave In pin #define MISO_PIN 19 // Master In Slave Out pinWhat ive done: Enabled the SF-LP game rotation vector and timestamp in the embedded-function bank, thenConfigured FIFO streaming mode and set watermark = 1, andIn loop() I parse the data from the FIFO queue and immediately compare it with the raw register read. 1.
