Hi all.I have a small problem understanding the timer 16 of the STM32G030K6T6 microcontroller. According to the data sheet, it should use the TIMPCLK clock, which corresponds to the PCLK clock.My system clock is supplied by the HSI (SYSCLK = 16 MHz). I have set my AHB prescaler to 4 and the APB prescaler to 1, so HCLK = PCLK = 4 MHz. Since my APB prescaler is equal to 1, the timer clock should be TIMPCLK = PCLK = 4 MHz.I then implemented a delay function with timer 16. So that the counter runs up in 1 us steps, I have to set the prescaler of the timer to 15 instead of 3. This means that the timer 16 still has a 16 MHz signal as an input signal.Now my question is: Have I misunderstood something here, is the data sheet wrong or is my code not correct? I have attached the quotes from the data sheet and my code. I hope you can help me.  Datasheet RM0454 Rev 5:"Timer clockThe timer clock TIMPCLK is derived from PCLK (used for APB) as follows:1. If the APB prescaler is set to

Hello,I am currently trying to convert my STM32CubeIDE (based on makefile) project to a STM32 VScode extension project based on CMake.Everything seemed to work smoothly until I was met with an issue calling the 'localtime' function from the standard 'time.h' class.This function has worked well so far in my CubeIDE project and I am using this to convert a uint32_t epoch to a tm struct.In my CMake project this fails by calling '_exit' and getting stuck there.The callstack is as follows:I am not sure what is the issue, is the standard library not implemented in the newlib of the CLT package?I tried looking at the 'gcc-arm-none-eabi.cmake' script and compare it to the makefile but none of the changes I tried making made any difference.Thanks.

Several production-active STM products reference application note AN1965, e.g. referenced in STA540's datasheet ( https://www.st.com/en/audio-ics/sta540.html ). This application note seems to be about heatsink considerations. Application note AN1965 is not available from STM, nor anywhere else I searched.Can someone provide this application note?

I want to route the internal comparators on the STM32G0B1 to the inputs of the encoder module. I can't find a way to do this in CubeMX. When I select "Encoder Mode" in the timer configuration, there is no option to route the comparators to the timer. Is this configuration possible?

Dear ST Support Team, We are using the L9678P in an automotive design where the battery voltage is nominally 28 V. From the datasheet, we understand the following for the VBATMON pin: Absolute maximum voltage: 40 V Operative maximum voltage: 18 V We would like to confirm: Can VBATMON be directly connected to a 28 V rail continuously, or is this outside the safe operating range? Is it mandatory to use a voltage divider to reduce VBATMON below 18 V during normal operation? Is VBATMON used only for battery voltage monitoring, or does it have a role in powering internal logic? Does VBATMON directly influence wake-up and shutdown behavior of the IC? We want to ensure safe operation and avoid long-term reliability issues. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Umesh

Hello,Is there a way to power the control board of the EVLSERVO1 without using the power board? I would like to just play around with the MCU before connecting to 48V for motor control. The ST-LINK V3SET does not provide any power to the board. Br,Lukas

Hi, I am working on a project generated from AutoDevKitStudio-2.2.1, with few SPC58ECxx applications. Able to generate, build and run using the AutoDevKitStudio, and Makefile is auto generated in the project folder.I am using DiscoveryPlus development board with SPC58ECxx MCU. When I try to execute the "make all" command in WSL (ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS), it generate error:After run "make clean" (remove .dep and build folders successfully) , it generate error:PATH already pointing to the correct directory in the generated Makefile:ppc-freevle-eabi-gcc.exe is present in the directory above. Is the gcc compiler in the PATH is for window environment? Do we need a different gcc compiler for the linux environment? Kindly advise. Please help me to share the relevant document or sample project which has a working Makefile with this environment. ThanksAJ

Hey everyone,I’m working on a USB audio project using TinyUSB on my STM32H7S78-DK Discovery board, and I’ve hit a wall with UAC2.0 on the High-Speed port. This is just a friendly PSA/warning to others who may be using this code: do not name any global/extern variable instances "context" if you use hardware-accelerated vector rendering.  If you do, you'll probably run into strange hard faults or data corruption issues.The function `stencil_buffer_set_prealloc()` writes four bytes to the global symbol with name "context", and thanks to how library linkage works there are no errors or warnings about this collision with their intended "context" variable.  The library function writes the value 0x202CCC5C in my code, and from the value (and behavior when I mess with it) this looks like a pointer to some memory in RAM.  This appears to be related to vector font rendering (or possibly all vector rendering).See this relevant Stack Overflow answer for details about how this problem arises.  I was not aware of this pitfall, and I will be religiously using static and name-mangling any globals from now on (I already am u

Hi I am trying to achieve output compare mode in TIM1 in stm32f407vgtx board . I am trying to generate a delay of one ms and running a timer clock at 1mhz after divide it with prescaler. I have enabled upcounter,TIM_CCER_CC1E bit in CCER, TIM_EGR_CC1G bit and loaded CCR1 as 999(one ms) and ARR as 0xFFFF but my counter is exceeding the value and it is going upto 65535 which is the ARR value . I have not configured OC1M[2:0]bit (capture/compare mode register 1 (TIMx_CCMR1)) as I am not toggling PA8 or any thing on that pin which is linked with TIM1_CH1.  I want when ever counter value matches CCR1 it generates interrupt and I am toggling led inside that IRQ handler. Can you help me where I am wrong please. B.R Ashish

I am working through this course but am stuck because the new 2.0.0 version of SM no longer provides the batch files like provisioning_auto.bat that are referenced in the course and I am unsure how to continue.Also posted this on the course page at https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-online-courses/stm32h5-secure-manager-course/bc-p/817896/highlight/true#M24 but putting it here, too, for better visibility. Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Chris

Hello All,Can anyone share the list of compatible cameras with STM32N647A0.As, going through STM32N6 DK, camera interfaced is B-CAMS-IMX 5Mpx.Is it possible to interface an 8Mpx camera with STM32N647A0 as one of the camera vendors are in a view to go for 2Mpx with STM32N647A0 but we wanted to use an 8Mpx for the design. Is it possible?Can anyone guide in this?? or if anyone can share the list of cameras with small form factors that are compatible. Best Regards,Sakshi

Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team, I am encountering an issue with ADC calibration on the STM32N657 microcontroller. Despite multiple attempts, the calibration process consistently fails. Hello, I'm writing my theorical part of my Bachelor Thesis. I'm interesed in whether two output ports from two Processing Unit (for example) the Convolution accelerators can be connected to one input port of the POOL, is it possible to do this through the Stream switch? So that we can have two CAxs to work together parallel for the pooling. From the documentation I cant find a specific answer.And what is the reason here to divide the convolution accelerators as CA0 and CA1?????????????????????????????????????????????????? is that because the can work parallel for one pooling as I mentioned before ????????????????????????Thanks a lot in advance, I really need an answer

Hello everyone,I am currently working with the STM32N6570-DK board and the MB1854B ST camera module.For testing purposes, I have compiled and run the following example from ST's GitHub repository:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/tree/main/Projects/STM32N6570-DK/Applications/DCMIPP/DCMIPP_ContinuousMode .In this example, the camera operates at a resolution of 2592x1944.Now, I would like to change the camera configuration to capture video at a lower resolution, such as 640x480 or 384x288.Could someone please guide me on:How to configure the camera for 640x480 or 384x288 resolution?Are there specific register changes needed for the IMX335 sensor?I have checked the IMX335 datasheet, but I couldn’t find register-level details—where can I find the correct registers or configuration sequence?Any help or code snippet showing how to set a different resolution would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Hey everybody. I had 3 STM32 F401RE for my robotic project but now I got "no stlink detected" error. Once I turned my computer off with shot down and then on again I couldn't get stm32 to work again, that's why one of them went away, the other one was when I turned the driver on and off while the stm32 was connected to the stepper motor driver and then it went away, i don't remember the other one. My first question is are these stm32s completely broken, can i save them? My second question is if they are completely gone, how can i save my next purchases?

Hello,We have procured STM32U5G9J-DK1 recently. We have to supply a voltage of 3.6V to its Vbat pin. Datasheet of the Microcontroller (STM32U5G9NJ) say that we can supply a Vbat voltage of 1.6V to 3.6V but schematic of this Discovery kit mentions that "The design supports a VDD_MCU at 1.8V only" (Ref MB1829 schematic of this Discovery kit). Also, whenever I configure any GPIO as output on this kit and Pull it high, it shows 1.8V only. So, my doubt is whether or not we can give 3.6V to Vbat pin. Should we restrict Vbat to 1.8V only ? With regard,Sudarshan Chaudhary

I have Nucleo-L452RE-P and want to try out battery backup for RTC.I connected a CR2032 to Morpho connector 19 (-) and 33 (+) and when I pull the USB plug, the 5V LED LD2 remains on, although a bit less bright.How can that be?

STM32H743ZIT6 LwIP - Ping Working in Example but Fails in My Own Project - Need Step-by-Step Help]Hi everyone,I am working with STM32H743ZIT6 and trying to implement basic Ethernet communication using LwIP. I downloaded the STM32CubeH7 package, and using the default LwIP example, I can successfully ping my STM32 board from my PC — no issues there.However, when I try to replicate the same configuration in my own project, I cannot get ping to work. I suspect I am missing some configuration step or detail, even though I tried to match everything. Details:1. MCU: STM32H743ZIT62. Development Environment: STM32CubeIDE3.LwIP Version: Provided with latest STM32CubeH7 package4. PHY: LAN87425.Clock Configuration: HSE 25 MHz, proper PLL setup6.LwIP Example: LwIP_Ethernet example — works fine, I can ping7.My Own Project: Same clock setup, same LwIP stack, but ping doesn't work

 Hi everyone,I'm working on writing the configuration password (PWD_CFG, 0x00) to an ST25TV02KC NFC tag using the ST25R3916B reader and the RFAL middleware (X-CUBE-NFC6). I am following the standard procedure:Open a CONFIG security session using PresentPassword (XORed Password)Generate a new XOR-coded password using GetRandomNumberCall WritePassword to write a new password (in this case, still 0x00..0x00 for testing)Here's the code I use:   if (generateXorPassword(uid, pwd_cfg, xorPwd) != RFAL_ERR_NONE) goto ERROR_RED_LED; if (rfalST25xVPollerPresentPassword( // 0x00 = PWD_CFG RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_DEFAULT | RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_ADDRESS, uid, 0x00, // PWD_CFG xorPwd, sizeof(xorPwd) ) != RFAL_ERR_NONE) { goto ERROR_RED_LED; } // CONFIG Security Session is now open! { // Change PWD_CFG (0x00) if (generateXorPassword(uid, pwd_cfg, xorPwd) != RFAL_ERR_NONE) goto ERROR_RED_LED; if(rfalST25xVPollerWritePassword( RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG_DEFAULT | RFAL_NFCV_REQ_FLAG

Hi, I am using stm32f46-disco working with client for TCP server, my problem is when I start with one client it works successfully but when I connect another client (also stm32f746-disco) it receives data slower than the previous client and swaps with the first client (meaning the first client now receives data slower than the second client). Hi all,I am using the STSPIN32G0252Q chip on a custom board (implements 3-shunt current sensing and back-EMF measurement, alongside the required drive features). I have designed the board in the MC Workbench, and have manually profiled the motor I am using, as the motor pilot tool doesn't support the Cortex-M0+ range.However I am finding it difficult to know where to start with actually implementing the code generated by the workbench/CubeMX; I can see that all of the control functionality is present, but there doesn't seem to be any documentation on how to actually run a motor using just API/HAL calls, instead of using the motor pilot. I have read the SDK documentation, but while this lists all of the functions and control algorithms it doesn't seem to show what a simple implementation loop would look like. Worse still, there seems to be some conflicting information about what each function does (e.g., whether the MC_StartMotor function needs a speed/torque ramp pre-programmed or not)
