I'm trying to create a long vertical menu that can be configured for a different number of items. I have managed to get a working implementation with a single issue.I would like to be able to select which item in the list is shown when the menu is loaded. For example, given a list of 30 items, I would like to go to Item 10 if it were the last item selected previously. What I have tried:Custom container scroll list with a custom container menu item. The scroll list is stored in a scrollable container to provide a scrollbar. For the scroll list to work with a long list, I have made the scroll list container's height long enough to fit 30 items within the designer. To force the list display to start from a specific point, I have tried  animateToItem()which has no effect.listMenuView.cpplistMenuView::setupScreen() {    scrollList1.setNumberOfItems(params->visibleItems);    scrollList1.invalidate();    scrollList1.initialize();}what is this the correct w

Hello! I'm working on a custom PCB that uses the STM32WB1MMCH6TR module, which was chosen specifically because of its integrated antenna. Unfortunately, with the first prototypes I'm getting extremely poor range with BLE, usually <-80 dBm even just a few inches away. This makes it near impossible to communicate with it from any useful distance. I made sure to turn the transmit power (CFG_TX_POWER in CubeIDE) all the way up to 6dBm, but it didn't help with the signal strength. I was not able to find much information on designing a PCB around this module, so I just went based off the keep-out zone that came with the supplied footprint on Digikey. I suspect that there may be components too close to the antenna side of the module, but I want to ask for advice before ordering the next revision. Thank you!

Hi,I’m using an STM32U385 (Cortex-M33) and trying to enable the Micro Trace Buffer (MTB) using ARM’s MTB-M33 register addresses (0xE0043000 base).No matter what I try, the EN bit in MTB_MASTER never sets.Does the STM32U385 have the MTB component? Thanks,Rakesh

hi,I want to implement nfc tag that detect iphone and send message that shoing on iphone screenhave someone that implement this logic?i start to implement some code and i detect the phone but not received data of APDU  command from the phone.have have someone to help me? have code example of this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Team,I am trying to use the HSE for Nucleo U5A5ZJ but I have some confusion. The document says .."HSE is the 16 MHz oscillator for the STM32 microcontroller. This clock is available depending on the targetSTM32 series microcontroller used on the Nucleo-144 board."So does this board have the external oscillator or not?In the clock configuration diagram, it defaults the Input frequency to 8MHz. Why?Even if i use this 8MHz HSE deploying the code to the board results in messages like "Target is not responding, retrying...". Can you please give some guidance.Thanks.Sandeep

I have a FreeRTOS project but I cant use xTaskCreate even though its in the paths list (see image below)Frustratingly this is the exact same set up I was using last week in a similar project that worked but today.... no dice. Why isn't the compiler finding the references? They all exist in the directories in the paths & includes list. In fact if I right click & ask to find the definition Cube quite happily opens the correct file, so why cant the compiler find them?I check that the flag for the xTaskCreate define was set correctly (it is).EDIT :: User error, I forgot to delete the GCC folders for all the other ARM_CMxx processors that I'm not using. Hence I was getting what were in fact multiple define errors.

Hi everyone,I'd like to use the ST25R3916B device for a very low-power device. I downloaded the X-CUBE-NFC6 library version 3.0.0, and I don't see an example of calling rfalLowPowerModeStart().I saw earlier that someone managed to find it in version 1.0.0, but I can't find it anywhere.Could someone help me? Or provide the library in this version, or an example of using this function in the latest version?By the way: Why isn't this functionality included in the current examples? I think it's a very useful feature.Best regards to everyone :)

Hello,    I use st25r3916 driver and DemoCycle from X-Cube-NFC6 app but devCnt for discovery is never more than 1 even though I have 2 tags next to the antenna and devLimit is set to 3. Also I see state machine never goes to RFAL_NFC_STATE_POLL_SELECT How can I further debug it? Thanks,     Mihai

Hi!TLDR; Mass Storage on STLINK on NUCLEO-C071RB isn't enabled by default. You need to use STLinkUpgrade to change Type to STM32 Debug+Mass Storage+VCPI've got a new NUCLEO-C071RB for test purpose, to evaluate that it's ready to be programmed in my build environment. I quickly wanted to test it in the Arduino IDE with stm32duino board files. For simplicity I choose the upload method Mass Storage. I sat up the typical udev rules manually and added my user to dialout group, and restarted Ubuntu. After this, I still struggled to program the NUCLEO-C071RB board with Arduino IDE using the Mass Storage upload method. That's when I had the idea to bring out a previous board I have laying around, NUCLEO-F401RE. Quickly after, this one was confirmed to work. At this moment i realized that NOD_F401RE was visible as an external storage on Ubuntu, while NOD_C071RB was not. Which confirmed that Mass Storage wasn't working on the NUCLEO-C071RB.Update: I tried to see if there was any firmware updates

Dear Colleagues, Dear STM Team,I use an ST25R3911B, and when I connect to the tag, I send data there and everything is fine. The problem occurs when I hold my phone with the eCard for payments to it. It then attempts to pay with a card over the phone. This looks strange and undesirable for customers. I don't want the ST25R3911B device to try to connect to a bank card on my phone. It looks for my clients that we try to have an access to their cards when they are close to the device. How to block this behaviour where phones behaves that try to pay every time hen are close to my reader with ST25R3911B?I know that this happen because I am polling NFCA from the ST25R3911B reader (PICC) and then smartphone recognize ST25R3911B as the payment terminal. However, I need to have this NFCA to have communication with my NFC tag target device (PCD). So, how to prevent the behaviour of this chip to activate the credit card payment when it is close to the smartphone or smarthatch with electronic

Hello,I just created a default project with the nucleo board template and with VCP initialized, how can I transmit data via UART using the VCP?

As described in this post during installation of CubeIDE on Ubuntu 24.04 an error is presented because libncurses5 is not available for Ubuntu 24.04. This can be worked around by using the generic installer. When attempting to upload firmware to an MCU, however, the same error message is given (it is shown as "Could not determine GBD version", but in details the missing libncurses5 is shown). The solution to a similar problem is given in this post, but the solution does not work for the CubeIDE as it requires a specific version of libncurses to be installed.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I am using ST25R3916B as NFC reader and it is interfaced with STM32G0B1RT6N via I2C lines. I am not able to communicate with reader IC . I have checked I2C_EN line is connected to VDD_D voltage output from reader IC. it is 2.05V and SCL and SDA lines are pulled  up to 3.3V with 10K resistor.Pls help me where i am doing wrong

I am working with STM32H745I-Discovery board. I trying to do Data transfer through SPI with DMA. But unable to transfer the data. Could any help me with example code for STM32H745I-Disco board.

Hi everyone, I'e been working with a fw stm32 MCUs products in the last years and I want to decide which is the best way to proceed in the "update to latest version" of CubeIDE.The point is: once i start a project, I usually keep the same CubeIDE version till the end, just to avoid regressions during time-stringent situations. At the end, I feel the need to update to the latest available "to be sure to have all latest bug-fixes" before starting a new one, even though the updates might not impact on my work. This need always, and I mean it, always end up with me uncovering as we say "hot water", some bugs (as live expression bug in 1.19.0) and running to recover from the heartache, picking all modifications applied on a new project (thank you git) started in an older "more reliable" version of CubeIDE.As of today my main question might be: based on your experience, among the last couple of years releases which is the most reliable version of CubeIDE you have used? Is it that bad my

Having faced the same problem, ended up in this thread. This is the same for HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA() as well, because it internally calls the transmitReceive function. So, it made me enable tx dma interrupt as well rx. Why on earth I have to enable tx dma when I just need rx dma? It does not even call the tx complete callback. My workaround was to: 1-make tx dma interrupt priority higher than rx dma interrupt. 2-poll for tx dma complete in rx interrupt routine before proceeding to next transaction. void HAL_SPI_RxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { handleXferCplt(hspi); } void HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { handleXferCplt(hspi); } bool handleXferCplt(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { // stm hal forces to use both tx and rx dma becasue it calls tranmitReceive() internally for receive. // however, dma tx transfer complete interrupt comes after rx complete. So, tx dma busy flag is still set and queued // sessions cannot proceed. so wait for it to finish. this i

Dear ST Support Team,I attempted to test the interfacing of X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 using 32F746GDISCOVERY, but unfortunately, it did not work as expected. In order to resolve this issue, I have several questions:I am trying to test X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 using STM32F7 instead of the sample products list(H7S3L8, H563ZI,N657X0-Q ...). From what I understand, the listed boards are simply examples for which you provide ready-made code samples, but the X-NUCLEO-67W61M1 should be interfaceable with STM32F7 as well. Is that correct?I implemented an NCP Loader for 32F746GDISCOVERY based on the sample code for NUCLEO-H7S3L8 you provided . I also modified the batch file in an attempt to retrieve the chip info from X-NUCLEO-67W61M1, but the operation failed. Below are the batch file I used and the error message I encountered:---------------------- execute result of batch file -----------------------------------------[18:09:54.152] - Chipname: qcc743[18:09:54.152] - Version: eflash_loader_v2.5.1[18:09:54.152]

Hello,I am using the 53L8A1A to evaluate the VL53L8CH with the MZAI_EVK_v1.0.1 software. For my application, I need high CNH resolution for as long a histogram as possible, but for only one histogram. Because of that, I aggregated down to one row and one column with the following configuration settings. CNH_4x4_ONECNH: StartType: 0 Resolution: 16 RangingPeriod: 500 ZoneMode: 2 GlareFilter: 0 ExtendedMode: 2 cnhStartX: 0 cnhStartY: 0 cnhMergeX: 4 cnhMergeY: 4 cnhCols: 1 cnhRows: 1 cnhNumBins: 75 cnhSubSample: 1 isDefault: false isVisible: trueI see in the CNH_Data_Size sheet within the MZ-AI_Configuration Excel sheet that the MZ-AI GUI limits the cnhNumBins parameter to 75. The calculator says that the data size for more bins than that does work, however. Is there a reason that the parameter is limited to 75 and, if not, is there an easy way for me to change that limit? Thanks,Garrett

Hello,I'm using WBA55CG Board and i have tried to flash this example STM32WBA Bluetooth® LE – Serial communication - stm32mcu to the STM32. The flashing step is completed, i could connect the board through ST BLE Toolbox on iOS. However there is no services like in the example, for example Send button/Real time. Also i have connected the board with TeraTerm to see USART messages but there were no messages from the board. How should i debug to have a proper function?

Hi For some reason, an interrupt isn't being triggered when I connect the USB to my stm32 board, and the reason is baffling to me. I have attached the relevant excerpt of my code  static inline void core_initialisation(void) //from page 3403 { USB_OTG_CfgTypeDef usb_config; usb_config.dev_endpoints = 6; // Typical number for HS device endpoints usb_config.Host_channels = 12; // Typical max host channels for HS core usb_config.dma_enable = 0; // Disable DMA (set 1 if your HW supports and you want DMA) usb_config.speed = USB_OTG_SPEED_HIGH; // High Speed usb_config.ep0_mps = 64; // Endpoint 0 max packet size (64 bytes for HS control EP) usb_config.phy_itface = USB_OTG_HS_EMBEDDED_PHY ; // Use embedded PHY (if your MCU supports it) usb_config.Sof_enable = 1; // Enable SOF (Start Of Frame) output usb_config.low_power_enable = 0; // Disable low power mode (set 1 to enable) usb_config.lpm_enable = 0; // Disable Link Power Management usb_config.battery_charging_ena

I am working with an STM32C092CCT6 (STM32C0 series) and I need help with reading and writing variables into Flash memory.I want to store a few configuration values (like integers or structures) that should persist after reset or power cycle. From what I understand, I need to erase a Flash page first and then program data at a specific address.I am not sure about the correct sequence for the C0 series (unlocking Flash, erasing, programming, and locking again).I would like to know the best practice for data alignment (word/halfword).Should I use HAL functions like  HAL_FLASH_Program() or is direct register access recommended for reliability? If anyone has a working example code snippet or reference for reading/writing user variables into Flash on STM32C0, it would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hi, maybe now reported, but seems no solution. My design uses U599 with GPU2D. Many images is svg ok. But for example toggle buttons is generated as pngs. For save flash space i preffer L8 as default image format, but here TGFX fail in render animation . For example cover south change screen with this buttons show failing renders. Require change images to ARGB8888 result to fine animations, but 4x more storege. In 2025 absurd situation.Next question is how manage change colours in presets in designer. For example same toggle buttons variants ...

I am trying to run tflm with stm32f769 eval. I build the tflm as a static library and included it in my project. My app  is crashing whille calling allocatetensors() function.  Anyone having any luck with it? Also I couldn' find any official demo for running tflm with stm32.I am struggling to run my basic model on stm32f769 board. It is failing in allocate tensors step.My program crashes on the 9th iteration."AllocateTensors()->StartModelAllocation()->AllocateTfLiteEvalTensors()->InitializeTfLiteEvalTensorFromFlatbuffer()."Any help here will be appreciated.I couldn’t find any official documentation or tutorial which I could follow.
