Hi,I'm encountering an issue with OCTOSPI auto-polling on the STM32U5G9NJ-DK1 Discovery Kit while following the "Octo-SPI FLASH in Regular-command protocol example" from AN5050 (Rev 12, February 2025). Specifically, in the OctalPollingWEL() function, HAL_OSPI_AutoPolling() always times out while waiting for HAL_OSPI_FLAG_SM (Status Match) to set. It calls OSPI_WaitFlagStateUntilTimeout(hospi, HAL_OSPI_FLAG_SM, SET, tickstart, Timeout) and returns an error, triggering Error_Handler().Link for Application Note:- https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5050-getting-started-with-octospi-hexadecaspi-and-xspi-interface-on-stm32-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf /* Octal polling Write enable latch function */ void OctalPollingWEL(void) { OSPI_AutoPollingTypeDef sConfig; OSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef sCommand; /* Initialize Indirect read mode for Software Polling to wait until WEL=1 */ sCommand.OperationType = HAL_OSPI_OPTYPE_COMMON_CFG; sCommand.FlashId = HAL_

Hello, I implemented a project using STUSB4700 to provide a charge to an Android tablet, the power interface is resolved using this topic https://community.st.com/t5/others-hardware-and-software/stusb4700-constant-output-switching/m-p/734155  because I had the same problem in the first time because I used some 5v for source, but now the power is resolved and I've the second issue, in parallel I use the USB C to communication by USB-serial converter by Android Tablet, but the converter isn't recognized by android, I try found in this document: https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/stusb4700-4710-i2c-register-details/td-p/234334?attachment-id=8852 the register to set the accessory interface in negotiation by CC channel but I didn't have success, can you help me?In attach my schematic. Best Regards.

We're using this controller in our project and have the VCC pin tied to VBUS so the device does not pull power from the battery when USB is not connected (it was pulling ~125uA which is too much for our battery life as the main power is not turned off). We've had a few cases of I2C bus hangs and I'd like to confirm this controller will not disrupt the other bus devices in the powered off state.

There are already a few posts which show there is an issue with getting the STSW-WPSTUDIO GUI downloaded. I replied to one, but I have yet to receive a response. I am looking to select capacitors to tune an RX coil connected to a STWLC38JR controller. It appears we need the GUI to accomplish this..?? Thanks in advance.

Hello. I am trying to develop a BLDC motor driver. With Workbench, I can easily change the motor parameter. But whenever I change the motor, I should reconfigure and re-compile. So I would like to make a FW can change motor parameter dynamically. Is it possible with MCSDK? Thank you in advance.

Trying to debug my code in VSCode using the Cortex-Debug extension, however, I cannot seem to locate the SVD file for the STM32U073CCTx MCU. The CAD Resources tab for the STM32U073CC does not show anything other than footprints.  Any ideas where I can find the file?  Are there any alternatives I can use in the mean time?

Hello,I try to jump into the default bootloader of the STM32H563 from user code by setting the NSBOOTADDR:extern void HalRebootInBootloaderMode(void) { FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef options; HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&options); options.BootAddr = 0x0BF97000u; // From AN2606. Also tried 0x0BF80000 start of sytem memory found in table 48 of RM0481 options.BootConfig = OB_BOOT_NS; options.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_BOOTADDR; HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); //Returns HAL_OK HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); //Returns HAL_OK HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&options); //Returns HAL_OK HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(); //Returns HAL_ERROR, because of OPT_CHANGE_ERR HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock(); HAL_FLASH_Lock(); HAL_NVIC_SystemReset(); }A similar mechanism worked pretty well on STM32H743 (using registers BOOT_ADDR1 and BOOT_ADDR_0 instead on that MCU).But the snippet above fails on the H563 (HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() returns HAL_ERROR, and my application always start in my user code).However HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() return HAL_OF if

Hi,I am using this library on Rpi5:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25r021.html#overviewI modified the gpio_init thuslystError gpio_init(void) { int ret = 0; char gpiochip_file[SIZE]; if (isGPIOInit) { return ERR_NONE; } sprintf(gpiochip_file, "/dev/gpiochip4"); /* Open /dev/gpiochip0 */ int fd = open(gpiochip_file, O_RDONLY);I modified the rfal_platform.h to correspond to my interrupt pin/* Set the GPIO pin number used as interrupt line to receive interrupts from ST25R */ #define ST25R_INT_PIN 12 /*!< GPIO pin used for ST25R External Interrupt */ #define ST25R_INT_PORT (fd_GPIOs[0]) /*!< But the demoIni function fails (I added some debug statements) bool ok = demoIni(); printf("debug1, demoIni result %d\n", ok); while ((!ok) || (ok && i--)) { platformLedOn(PLATFORM_LED_FIELD_PORT, PLATFORM_LED_FIELD_PIN); platformLedOn(PLATFORM_LED_A_PORT, PLATFORM_LED_A_PIN); platformLedOn(PLATFORM_LED_B_PORT, PLATFORM_LED_B_PIN); platformLedOn(PLATFORM_LED

I want to change the font at runtime for a TextAreaWithOneWildcard.I figured it would be as simple as:1. update the text in the wildcard buffer (previously set by calling setWildcardTextArea)2. call setTypedText( id ) where 'id' is a designer defined text entry that uses the predefined font I want to use (different to the one used for the TextArea in the designer)3. call invalidate()It seems that the string associated with the 'id' text entry takes precedence over the string I update in the wildcard buffer. I've tried calling in a different order with no success. Is this by design or a bug?I've seen a suggested workaround that uses multiple languages to define the same string but with different fonts. My application is multi-lingual so that's not an option.Why doesn't TextArea have support for selecting a font that is already defined in the application or am I missing something?Thanks

HiIt's a disaster that Current CubeMX have to select CMSIS when enabling freertos. many developers use raw freertos API to develop project. The project based on raw freertos api is more compatiable with other MCUs, also they are familar with raw freertos API. I think this option should be reserved for developer. Is there any way to use raw freertos api in cubemx? Peter

When I installed the the latest StellarStudio v8.0.0 (https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stellarstudio.html#get-software), seems like it has installed the SDKs for Stellar E family only. How can I get the SDKs for Stellar P family. The link above seems to claim, the StellarStudio provides comprehensive framework to design, build and deploy embedded applications for the whole Stellar SRx family (i.e. Stellar E, G and P) and not just Stellar E. Please canyou advice?

I am working on a 3ph motor control with EVSPIN32G4. I want to know how to measure motor speed through GPIO (To match with the measured quantities in motor pilot). Where can i find the details of that?

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project where I need to read NFC tags from 4 different locations. To save costs and complexity, I'm considering using a single ST25R3916B and multiplexing it to 4 antennas.From what I've found, it's possible to use the differential matching network as two single-ended matching networks, which would give me 2 antennas. By adding a 1:2 multiplexer on both TX/RX lines, I could get up to 4 antennas. Alternatively, I could use a single-ended configuration with a 1:4 multiplexer.From the ST community, I saw that some people used relays, but I'd like to avoid them due to the audible switching and bulky size. RF switches and transistor-based multiplexing have also been mentioned, but I couldn’t find much concrete information about how to implement them or which components to use.So here are my questions:Has anyone successfully implemented a multiplexer using transistors? If so, how?Has anyone implemented RF switches for this purpose? What was your approach?Which an

Hi everyone,I am working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1, which uses the ST25R3916B chip, and I am planning to use it's main IC (ST25R3916B ) with 6 antennas. The idea is to use the two RF interfaces of the chip, with each interface connected to 3 antennas.I would like to know if anyone has experience or recommendations on how to handle antenna multiplexing for this setup. Specifically, I’m wondering whether it would be better to implement the multiplexing using PIN diode circuits or if it would be more suitable to use an RF switch. Are there any other solutions or approaches that should be considered? Do you have any specific IC (related) recommendations?Additionally, I’d appreciate some insights on where the multiplexing circuitry should be located. Should it be positioned between the IC and the antenna circuit (IC-xx-AntennaCircuit-Antenna) or between the antenna circuit and the antennas themselves (IC-AntennaCircuit-xx-Antenna)?Looking forward to your advice!Best regards,

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project that requires multiplexing 6 NFC antennas to a single NFC reader, such as the ST25R3916B. From my understanding, because the reader uses separate RFOx (TX) and RFIx (RX) lines for differential communication, I need to multiplex both RFOx and RFIx for each antenna.The most cost-efficient and compact approach I can currently think of looks like this:STM32 + ST25R3916B (RFOx/RFIx)--> Matching Network--> RF MUX--> [optional EMC Filter]--> AntennaAlternatively, if I place the matching network after the multiplexer like this:STM32 + ST25R3916B (RFOx/RFIx)--> RF MUX--> Matching Network--> [optional EMC Filter]--> Antenna…then I would need two separate MUXes per antenna path (one for RFO, one for RFI), effectively doubling the number of switches, which significantly increases both cost and board space. My questions:Has anyone implemented method 1 (matching network before the MUX)?Are there known issues (e.g., detuning, crosstalk

Hi everyone, I'm having some strange issues with my ws2812b neopixels, and can't quite figure out what's causing them. Some color settings work perfectly, while others trigger this odd behaviour. Even weirder, certain fixes just seem to shift the issue to different color settings instead or resolving it entirely. And to make things more confusing - it doesn't happen every time. When I send color data to my ws2812b, certain colors cause the first led to appear much brighter with an excessive amount of green. This happens only on the first led. No matter how many leds are in the chain, the rest display the correct colors. I've tested multiple ws2812b rings and strips, but the issue persists. To rule out voltage level problems i added a level shifter to shift both, supply voltage and data line voltage to 5 volts. The problem remained, just brighter :) I can't quite put my finger on whats happening because it's just so bizarre. I am using the nucleo stm32C071RB board. It works at 48MHz. I

Dear all! this is the first time i design TCP/IP board, i didn't have any experience before. i design hardware as UM2198( page1 and page 8), can you help to review and feedback me if it have any problem. Beside that i config on STM32CubeMX already. can you share me is it correct or not. many thanks for your support.

Hello, I don't seam to see anything related to the implementation of the USB PD AVS system to allow a sink to request voltages of up to 48V. Am I miss-reading the X-CUBE-TCPP code? If it is missing, is there a plan to implement it? Thanks a lotHave a nice day

I have diymore stm32f407vgt6 board , I connect usb  give DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED  if i try DFU mode BOOT0 >3.3V, BOOT1 > GND, I try  every thing  but nothing . please  help mee

I was trying to get the most out of my H563 set up and run as fast as possible. I am using the Nucleo-H563 board. I reconfigured in CubeMX to use System clock mux to use HSE source mux, multipliers and dividers set correctly for 250MHZ operation. There are no errors shown in the setup and I am showing 250 Mhz as the SYSCLK. My AHB is /1, HCLK shows 250MHZ which is feeding the peripheral busses. While the clock configuration APB1 shows 250Mhz it does not seem to be correct as when I set the timers and prescalers for such the timing is not correct... the bus seems to be running at 125mhz. For my TMR1 to get 1us clock I have to set the divider to 124 which implies the internal clock is running at 125Mhz not 250 like the clock diagram shows.    I have attached the Clock Configuration from CubeMX that shows no clock issues.

Hello ST Support Team, I’m currently designing a custom board using STM32H750XBH6.In this design, I would like to interface a 32-bit SDRAM for improved memory bandwidth and performance. However, I noticed that in the official STM32H750 development board (Nucleo/Discovery), the same MCU (STM32H750XBH6) is connected to a 16-bit SDRAM interface only. I would like to confirm the following points: Is it possible to interface a 32-bit wide SDRAM with the STM32H750XBH6? If yes, are there any pin multiplexing conflicts or hardware limitations on the FMC (Flexible Memory Controller) that I should be aware of? Any reference schematics, Cube MX configuration tips, or verified examples for 32-bit SDRAM with STM32H7 would be very helpful. Your technical guidance will be very valuable to me in finalizing this design. Thank you.

I am having some issues with getting UART uploading working. I can read the chip and get it's ID, but it keeps saying it cannot get acknowledgments.  Everything is directly connected. Serial TX/RX to their corresponding pins and RTS to Boot and DTR to Reset.At first, I thought it was because the FT232RNL chip has flipped polarity, but we can change this through the FTDI programmer. After changing it, I am still having the issue above. Looking online, I see some people put a cap in between the DTR and Reset. Is this actually required? I know they did not on Arduino's. but I always though it was because their bootloader required it since there was no boot pin like on the ST's.I cycled through all the possibilities for the DTR and RTS configuration in the ST Programmer software, but none of them seem to fix the issue.  Any guidance on this?

Hello!I am using a custom board with STM32H563VIT6. I want to create an MQTT project which will send data to a local laptop via an Ethernet cable. I am using STM32H573I-DK\Applications\NetXDuo\Nx_MQTT_Client as the example project to do so, but I am facing a problem.The problem is that when the nx_app_thread_entry function is called it will get stuck when this line is calledif(tx_semaphore_get(&DHCPSemaphore, TX_WAIT_FOREVER) != TX_SUCCESS)Then this leads to "__tx_ts_wait" in the nx_thread_schedule.S forever.This is my call stack up to __tx_ts_wait:__tx_ts_wait@0x08000336 (...\STM32H563VIT6_Ethernet\Middlewares\ST\threadx\ports\cortex_m33\gnu\src\tx_thread_schedule.S:279) <signal handler called>@0xffffffbc (Unknown Source:0) _tx_ipsr_get@0x08009bdc (...\STM32H563VIT6_Ethernet\Middlewares\ST\threadx\ports\cortex_m33\gnu\inc\tx_port.h:511) _tx_thread_system_return_inline@0x08009bdc (...\STM32H563VIT6_Ethernet\Middlewares\ST\threadx\ports\cortex_m33\gnu\inc\tx_port.h:615) _

I created a simple project back in May (simple - some buttons, temperature display) and mounted in a box (landscape/0 rotation).I went to reuse the display with a new TouchGFX project (same box) and it is flipped 180! When I load the old code, correct side up, new project in TouchGFX and it is upside down.  I checked the forum and this isn't easy to do and requires extra code - how is this even possible?  For reference, it is a fairly new STM32F469I-DISCO (blue) purchased in May of 2025.  Old project - SDCARD/Headphone jack faces down.
