Posted on June 08, 2018 at 10:55Dear All, I have an question about CAN bus transmit interrupt. I use STM32F303.In reference manual, it describes when transmit mailbox becomes empty, the interrupt will be triggered. It also means of that when transmit procedure is completed, the interrupt will be triggered. right?if yes, what should I do in the ISR(interrupt service routine)? There are no thing need to process due to the transmission is already completed. it seems like of an superfluous ISR.#stm32 #can-bus

Posted on June 06, 2018 at 15:12Hello ST Community,I´m using a STMS8105x6 MCU that has an appilcation running that communicates with other MCUs via UART and I2C. I also have a IWDG running, that does sometimes a reset because of communication errors. What I want to know is, how to save a global volatile uint32_t variable that has an important value, that should not be lost at a watchdog reset.Saving it to the EEPROM at every change is not an option. But maybe it can be stored into a backup register or the RAM somehow. Or can I prevent it from being newly initialized at startup?!Using STVD + Cosmic Compiler.Thank you in advance for your help.MaBo

Posted on June 08, 2018 at 16:22I'm looking to do some firmware updates over CAN bus on an M0 based part (possibly F091) which it looks like will require a custom bootloader. Do I need to pick a part with enough RAM to store the entire firmware image so I can transfer the image to the bootloader and then write it to flash? Or I there a way to transfer directly to flash to eliminate the requirement of the RAM being able to hold the entire image?#stm32-can-bootloader

Posted on June 06, 2018 at 14:23Hello,I implemented some functions to read and write the QSPI memory by using functions HAL_QSPI_Transmit() and HAL_QSPI_Receive() provided by the libraries.Everything works fine. I just wonder how I can write and read strings using these functions.I want to write:   char myString[100][50];but the above functions have a uint8_t as an input! Is there any way to do so, other than passing a single character at a time? Thanks,#read #strings #write #qspi

Posted on June 08, 2018 at 10:26Hi All,I am brought a a bunch of STM32L082KZT6 (STM32L082 in LPFP32 pinout) parts and I've started designing my PCB but in the datasheet the VDD_USB pin is omitted (only) for this package BUT ST says it supports USB device mode.I have looked at the part using STM32CubeMX and enabling USB shows USB_DP(PA12) and USB_DM(PA11) but no VDD_USB pin...Can I assume it just gets USB_VDD power from VDD and I should just make sure VDD is >= 3V if I am using USB?Any and all help greatly appreciated!Cheers,Neal#stm32l082kz-vdd_usb

Posted on May 28, 2018 at 09:05   Im trying to catch data from the unknown device, this device has data and clock. I decided to make my stm32 as spi slave and catch the data as recevier. And im struggling with it. I have this data flow which i want to catch:  Clock is yellow and green is data.  I need only 16bytes from it, when data line goes low, we can see this 16bytes:  And there is the speed of the clock, as you can see its around 1.5us each clock pulse. So what i have to do is configure spi with HAL, i toolk SPI1(PA5 - CLOCK, PA7- DATA) cuz it has more powerful MHZ, chose spi mode ''RECEIVE ONLY SLAVE'', HARDWARE NSS SIGNAL: DISABLED. And here is my spi1 config: static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) { /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_SLAVE; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES_RXONLY; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_HIGH; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_

Posted on May 30, 2018 at 13:38Hi everyone,I'm sorry to push this old thread but I'm facing problems using the LL drivers and initializing the ADC.The function LL_ADC_Init(ADC_TypeDef *ADCx, LL_ADC_InitTypeDef *ADC_InitStruct) doesn't set the CKMODE in ADC_CFGR2.Does anyone else also have this problem?Best regards

Posted on June 07, 2018 at 12:16Hello,I am using the code supplied by ST for the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1, with a different processor (STM32L031) than on the demo NUCLEO board, to control the ST25R3911 with ISO15693.This code comes from the example STM32CubeExpansion_NFC5_v1.0.0.Seems I have something wrong because I always get the error ERR_IO when trying to detect a tag.Comments in code say: /*******************************************************************************/ /* REMARK: Silicon workaround ST25R3911 Errata &sharpTBD */ /* ST25R3911 may indicate RXE without RXS previously, this happens upon some */ /* noise or incomplete byte frames with less than 4 bits */ /*******************************************************************************/I haven't been able to figure out why I get this error so far, although if I plug directly the demo board processor to my RFID reader board with SPI bus + IRQ signal, everything works fine. With my board, RFAL initialisation works fin

Posted on June 06, 2018 at 12:45Hello.I wanna ask that I don't know about the filename of IBIS about STM32L1.I download it from the product page, it looks like:I don't understand what ''429/427/436'' is.I googled that it's about STM32F1XXX or other, and the ''XXX'' is the number. Are they different in simlation?Tks for your help.#stm32l1 #ibis-models #ibis #stm32l

Posted on May 14, 2018 at 19:40Hi,I would like to set the milliseconds in the STM32 RTC, the function hal_rtc_settime doesn't change the milliseconds (subseconds) value.I tried be setting hrtc->instance->rtc_ssr but it doesnt change its valueHelp would be appritiated Thank you

Posted on June 01, 2018 at 15:36 Hi guys, I'm having some troubles understanding the behavior of the ST GPIO on start-up, specifically PA3 on STM32L496VE micro. Background: I'm trying to program/flash a SiLabs BT121 (Bluetooth module) chip and have the following configuration on my board: I'm using a dev kit offered by SiLabs, DKBT, to program the BT The dev kit acts as a USB to UART converter to interface the UART on the BT On the MPU host side I have PA0 to PA3 configured as UART as follows: When programming the BT121 the datasheet advises to keep the host MPU in reset state to keep lines floating. Here's my issue: whenever I try to program the BT121 w/ a MPU that's erased/not programmed it fails. If I keep the MPU in reset manually (pulled the NRST pin low) thenprogrammingis successful. Following capture is for the TX (pink), RX (green), RESET (yellow) and BOOT0 (blue) pins on the initial reset dip that puts the BT121 in the DFU mode which allows me to program it. NOT

Posted on April 08, 2018 at 09:13L496 port G includes two I2C- PG13/14 I2C1 and PG7/8 I2C3. But the two I2C cannot output and the oscilloscope does not display waveform.I2C1/I2C3 can work correctly if they are mapped to other ports. So I think the I2C1/I2C3 modules are ok in L496.On the other hand, if I set PG13/14 and PG7/8 pin mode as GPIO output, they can work well. So the GPIOG module is ok.So what is the problem with GPIOG I2C? I know Port G[15:2] are independent from other ports. But I connect Vddio2 to Vdd in the test. Please see the code below.Init Code: LL_AHB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOG); HAL_PWREx_EnableVddIO2();LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOG, LL_GPIO_PIN_13, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE); LL_GPIO_SetAFPin_0_7(GPIOG, LL_GPIO_PIN_13, LL_GPIO_AF_4); LL_GPIO_SetPinSpeed(GPIOG, LL_GPIO_PIN_13, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH); LL_GPIO_SetPinOutputType(GPIOG, LL_GPIO_PIN_13, LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_OPENDRAIN); LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(GPIOG, LL_GPIO_PIN_13, LL_GPIO_PULL_UP); LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPI

Posted on June 05, 2018 at 17:23ST seems to do reading all files in a directory in a hard way.I am combining two examples about Sdfat but ST uses unfamiliar commands for reading all files in a directory. I think I could do it with a hard way but isn't f_findfirst/f_findnext more common.I have examples for reading all bmp files and an other showing one jpg file.Edit: By the way. I still have to accept cookies several times in one session.

Posted on June 06, 2018 at 12:09Hello,I would like to know if it is possible to program a stm8 MCU with the stlink of stm32 nucleo board (NUCLEO-L073).Regards,Aurélien

Posted on June 05, 2018 at 17:09Hi,I have been doing a little work recently with the STM8S003k3 Discovery board, where I attempting to create a 800Hz signal with a 80/20 duty cycle. The issue I am experiencing is that I have no output on the pin!Now I'm almost certain that loading values etc are correct and this is instead a order of operations issue, with that being said, what is the correct procedure for register configuration etc? At the moment I am working as follows:1. Set HSI and enable clock to timer 22. Initialise GPIO for input floating no interrupt PB6 & PB7.3. Initialise GPIO for output push-pull fast mode PD2 (Timer 2 CH3).4. Set prescaler and set ARR (*MSB first), (**PSCR LSB first).5. Set CCR3 with value to obtain 80% duty cycle.6. Set CCER2->CC3P = 0, active high.7. Set CCMR3->OCM = 6, PWM 1 mode.8. Set CCER2->CC3E = 1, enable CAPCOM3 output.9. Set CR1-> CEN = 1, run the timer.I understand that there is constraints regarding the order in which

Posted on April 10, 2018 at 13:14Hello,i've followed many tutorial to try to get UART with interrupt working on my stm32l476rg (nucleo board) :at the main.c, before while(1) loop :HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(&huart4, (uint8_t *)welcome_str,sizeof(welcome_str));this doesn't work, but in polling mode, it's working :HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart4, (uint8_t *)welcome_str,sizeof(welcome_str),100);i'm using hc-06 bluetooth dongle, and receiving it on android Phone, it should be able to receive interrupt without any problem...?what i'm missing here ? any triggering stuff or ..?thank you#uart-it #stm32l4+

Posted on June 02, 2018 at 23:49Hello! I'm trying to run an LCD installed on the board Stm32F746g-disco, memory and the display are successfully initialized, but I can not fill the display with color. What is wrong in my project? Maybe someone has a working draft for an example?

Posted on January 19, 2018 at 04:27My Samsung mobile upgraded from Android 6.0 to 7.0. But after that the 24SR seems can't detect from mobile NFC. It happens only after the 24SR IC locked in read/write. For unlocked the chip by 24SR discovery board hardware, 24SR can detect by mobile again. I tested in Android 4.4,5.0 and 6.0 and all work. So is there any changes in Android 7.0 that cause this problem ? Please advise and thanks.
