Hi,I am working on STM32F042.I have setup the BxCAN peripheral into loop-back silent mode, and it works fine. I can transfer and receive every single frame I am transmitting and no error conditions are detected. However, I have noticed that when I want to transmit a frame, there is a delay of about 37 ms (!) between setting the TXRQ (request to transmit) bit and the call to the CAN interrupt handler once the flag RQCP (transmission completed) is set.Has anyone experienced similar delays? Is this happening only in loopback mode?Thank you,Marco

Hi,In our project we would like to power on H3LIS331DL only once after reset and configure the sensor in lowest power mode when not in use. Issue is that, the data ready interrupt is triggered only for the very first iteration and no more interrupts are generated for the consecutive cycle of operations. On the contrary, if the sensor is switched on and off every time, the device is working fine. Many thanks in advance for your reply. With regards,Shanmathi P

I'm using an STM32F411 chip.and it is trying to use the DMA function of UART2 and I2C3.there are same DMA1 bus line.at that time, Is it available when both functions try to work at the same time? Does Stm32 handle itself? If so, what is the priority?I have implemented the DMA function for UART2. However, I am currently not able to implement I2C DMA function continuously. We have not tested the two for the same time. but, In the end, I have to use those two functions at the same time.my email is royalmdm@naver.com thank you.

During development I've been using ST-LInk to program the STM32L433 which of course works perfectly. I want to release the firmware and allow users to be able to update the code over UART2. I've set BOOT0 and can see the device using the latest version of the STM Flash Loader Demonstrator program (V2.8.0). It reports PID = 435, BID = NA, Version 3.1. The flash mapping panel is completely blank. It says it is read protected although I haven't set any protection.I can use the option to disable read protection and this seems to work - I get the message "Read protection was successfully removed" but if I try to read the chip it again says it is read protected. If I try and erase or write the chip I always get the read-protected message.I'm missing something as usual but what?Help gratefully appreciated

I have a 32F746GDISCOVERY and would like to test the dsp functionalities with a correlation.I have the following code:#include "arm_math.h" extern void arm_correlate_fast_q31(q31_t * pSrcA, uint32_t srcALen, q31_t * pSrcB, uint32_t srcBLen, q31_t * pDst); extern void arm_q31_to_float(q31_t * pSrc, float32_t * pDst, uint32_t blockSize); extern void arm_float_to_q31( float32_t * pSrc, q31_t * pDst, uint32_t blockSize);   q31_t in1[32]; q31_t in2[32]; q31_t out1[64]; float out1_f[64];   for(int i=0; i<32; i++){ in1[i] = 0; in2[i] = 0; } float tempf = 0.00001; for(int i=12; i<20; i++){ arm_float_to_q31( &tempf, &in1[i], 1); arm_float_to_q31( &tempf, &in2[i], 1); } arm_correlate_fast_q31(in1, 32, in2, 32, out1); arm_q31_to_float(out1,out1_f,64);I'm putting in two square wave signals and expecting a triangle signal. I look with the debugger, but out1 has only stored zeroes. What am I doing wrong? Do I still have to initialize the DSP core?

Using SPC560B-DIS Eval board, and tried UART serial example with LED, COM Port is not detecting on the Computer.Flashed the firmware using UDE through USB , LED start blinking but Virtual Com Port is not detected for UART communication.

I have two ST25R3911B-DISCO boards and while recently trying to communicate over I2C - after alot of troubleshooting I discovered that the labels on P203 for SCL and SDA are incorrect and have been switched. The schematic is correct - I traced the pins through to P203 - it appears only the silkscreen is incorrect. On the back of the card, I have MB1325 C-01 217410690The Q/A sticker shows a line on T1, T2, T3, T4 but interestingly, not "QA"Let me know if I can provide additional information about these boards.

Hi there. I'm having a lot of trouble.I've managed to get UART (just direct calls, not interrupt based), PWM, and ADC working on a Nucleo board (namely, the STM32F070RB board). However, I'm having serious trouble getting a simple push-button to fire an interrupt.I'm using the on-board user button, tied to C13. I know this works and is not a hardware/solder bridge problem, because I've probed the exposed pin and it certainly changes between 3.3V/0V when released/pressed.I watched this tutorial video and it seemed simple enough (like most things, thanks to STM32Cube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtkszckecV8Sadly, I've had no luck. Here's a look at some of my code.gpio.c generated from STM32Cube:Callback function, as shown in the video, present in main.c:Using the boolean the interrupt *should* set. The CommandLine() function is not blocking (even if it was, it shouldn't matter anyway, if this is an interrupt) and the PrintLn function I have made works perfectly fine (just based on no

Hello,I implemented a simple function generator as part of a project with a NUCLEO-L496ZG-P board.A cosine signal is generated using TIM2 (internal clock, no prescaler, period set by ARR value) -> DMA (with 256 point cosine table in memory) -> DAC (triggered by TIM2 update), which works properly. Now I'd like to add a TTL-style trigger signal phase locked with the cosine signal on an additional output.I tried using another TIMer (I tried different ones, but let's just use TIM3 for this example now) in slave mode (ext. clock mode 1, Trigger Src. ITR1, PWM mode (tried different channels)) with an ARR value of 255 and CCRx of 128. This should give me the desired 50% duty cycle trigger signal I'd like to have. Instead the pulse length is always exactly ONE TIM3 clock duration (derived from TIM2 update), as if CCRx was fixed to 1. If I change CCRx to one of the limits (0,ARR), the pulse vanishes as expected, but any value in between gives the same pulse length. Changes to ARR yield the

I am using a STM32072B-EVAL board because I need a working demo about HDMI-CEC.It is clear that there are problems: the original firmware already on the board has errors about icons (some graphics is broken), about images (it hangs if try to show an image) and also with audio.Anyway, ignoring this, because I must do some investigations with CEC I wanted to modify the software. After some trouble for setting up TrueStudio (the original firmware is dated 2014 and TrueStudio evolved in the meantime), after loading the ORIGINAL software compiled from the ORIGINAL firmware source package the display is now all white and the board is totally unusable. So I loaded the ORIGINAL binary from the same package anche the result is the same.I suppose at minimum they have changed something about the LCD or maybe more. The only firmware package on the ST site seems to be STM32072B-EVAL_FW_V1.0.0 that is the very first version, as I see from the number. But this version is not working on the board. Please

I need to store atleast 20,000 samples per second to perform FFT. so I have used memory card to store all the values in sd card. currently, I could only able to store 7000 samples at a particular interval of time but not more than that. I tried with one bit sdio mode and 4 bit but of no avail. Any hints or tips to improve the speed of sdio mode? I also tried to increase the overall frequency of the clock then too it didnt affect the performance of sdio. in the code for my trail purpose i simply created an array. In future I will store values from ADC inputs in array. when i change the value in array to 8000 and value in for loop to 7999 nothing happens! I could only able to create a .txt file in sd card but i cannot store values. simple code: uint16_t array[7000],j=1; /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */if(f_mount(&myFatFS, SDPath,1) == FR_OK){ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOD, GPIO_PIN_12, GPIO_PIN_SET); char myFILEName[]="TEST1.txt"; if(f_open(&myFILE, myFILEName, FA_WRITE| FA_CREATE_ALWAYS)

Hello,I want to use TIM3 as 32-Bit counter. Clock source is set to ETR2. The corresponding Pin is PA0. For test purpose I use TIM3 to generate a clock signal (Pin PC6) to feed the TIM3 counter.Connecting these to pins together (PA0 and PC6) results in an clock signal with an offset. The reason is, that PA0 is driving 3.3V.Any idea why PA0 is driving 3.3V?I'm using NUCLEO-H743ZI.RegardsJakob

Hello,I use stm32cubeH7 examples.I find in some of them call to sprintf, yet I don't understand where is the output of the sprintf goes to:I tried opening the "STMicroelectronics STLink virtual com port" - nothing is printed hereI also tried to search for a debug console window in IAR - I did not find suchI tried to see where sprintf is defined in code, and also did not find the relevant c file ( it seems to be part of IAR C compiler files)Thanks for any idea, ran

Hi All, I have simple code to assign preemption priority and subpriority. I have tested this code on the stm32f103. Even if i set the preemption priority and subpriority, when I read the priority it returns as 0x00. According to the information from STM32 datasheet the priority register is 0xe000e40e ( NVIC channel 14 belongs to DMA1_Channel4 interrupts).And I could read 0x00 from that register after NVIC was initialized. It means NVIC channel #14 has the highest priority in the system.I do not understand that way library function does not work as expected. Do you have any suggestion? NVIC_InitTypeDef NVIC_InitStructure;   /* DMA1 Channel4 interrupt setting */ NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannel = DMA1_Channel4_IRQn; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelPreemptionPriority = 11; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelSubPriority = 11; NVIC_InitStructure.NVIC_IRQChannelCmd = ENABLE; NVIC_Init(&NVIC_InitStructure); /* -- */ priority = NVIC_GetPriorit

Dear comunity, I'm having some trouble using the SPI communication protocol between two MCU. The aim is to transfer data via SPI(2) from MCU to a Murata MLM32L07x01 (based on STM32L072).In my program, I'm using also UART2 / ADC / RTC / LoRa communication (SPI1) / GPIOs. When I want to transfer data, I'm using the HAL_SPI_Receive function in the Murata like this : HAL_SPI_Receive(&hspi2, aRxBuffer, sizeOfSPI, 3000);If the variable sizeOfSPI is right, I received well the data and my program is following. However, when I don't know the size of SPI transfer (assuming I'm waiting for 80 char and I received only 60), I still receive the transfer char but the Timeout parameter should be used. In the case above, knowing the SPI is in polling mode, it should wait for 3 seconds maximum. However, my program is going into an infinite loop. When I try to debug the software, I see a weird value from the HAL library : In the SPI_WaitOnFlagUntilTimeout function, the call of HAL_GetTick returns 0 :

Hello everybody!I am going to work with USB on the STM32F413 . The datasheet says:"The USB OTG full-speed controller requires a dedicated 48 MHz clock, which is generated by a PLL connected to the HSE oscillator"I would like to ensure if it can work only with HSE or HSI will work too, in spite of what the datasheet says? I thought it could be not a full data, because when I select HSI as source for the PLL Spurce MUX in the CubeMX , it does not show me any error. Thank you in advance!

What are the CAN bit segment 1 and 2?CAN specification doesn't use those names. Are they PROP_SEG and PHASE_SEG1 or PHASE_SEG1 and PHASE_SEG2?All three are programmable by the CAN spec, but PHASE_SEG2 should be max. of PHASE_SEG1 and INFORMATION PROCESSING TIME which is "less than or equal to 2 time quanta".I would guess that bit segment 1 = PROP_SEG and bit segment 2 = PHASE_SEG1. PHASE_SEG2 is then probably equal to PHASE_SEG1.Is that right?I also realized that in STM32F427 data sheets it says that CAN can work upto 1Mbps.I wonder how? Is there Cube restriction or why it seems impossible? With "full speed" (APB1@45MHz) I tried to set prescaler to 5, bit segment1 to 2 and bit segment2 to 3, but CubeMX says they are too small values.I'd think that it would mean:Tq=111.11 ns,SYNC_SEG = 1TqPROP_SEG = 2TqPHASE_SEG1=3TqPHASE_SEG2=3TqTotal 9Tq/bit = 999.99ns

I read all the .cpp and .h library but I can't find any routine that shows the RFID of the card, can you help me ?

Hello,We have experiended RD/WR problems with standard smartphones. Is there any list of recommended smartphones for operating with ST25DV64K?Regards, Ramon.

I was trying to write a code to integrate a input signal, triggering the ADC with a timer, and print the information every 0.5 s with the systick. I don't understand why After the first saturation of the timer, the code doesn't enter in the systik handler anymore.

I was searching for smaller and cheaper MCU with CAN network. I have chosen the STM32F042F4P6 trough CubeMX but now when I try to enable CAN in CubeMX I cannot because it's grayed. What am I doing wrong?

STM32G071RB: According to RM 3.7.1 reset value of FLASH_ACR is 0x00040600, verified on hardware. But the description of indiviual bits doesn't fit.RM: Bit 11 ICRST, Bit 10 reserved (cleared), Bit 9 ICEN, Bit 8 PRFTEN, so cache enabled, prefetch disabled, reserved bit set???

Posted on April 19, 2017 at 12:18Hello, I would like updating the firmware of an STM32F767ZI using the internal boot loader. I am using the USART3 (PB10 and PB11). In order to transfer the program I am using the program Flash Loader Demostrator. My testing application has two parts. A led blink implemented in the main loop and the jump to the internal boot loader implemented in and EXTI interrupt. In that way when I press a button the application jump to the internal boot loader code and starts the updating process. When I press the button and I star the communication with the flash Loader everything seems ok:When I try reading the firmware appear the following message:I try enabling the reading with the Flash Loader:The program informs that the memory will be erased. After the process the result is:When I try reading the program the result is the same as before:If I use the ST_LINK Utility I can read and write the memory without problems. The configuration of the Option Bytes is:I ha
