I'm using STM32CubeMX (5.0.0) and Atollic TrueSTUDIO (9.2.0) to implement I2C slave functionality on an STM32F3 series microcontroller. I am able to get the DMA to work accepting bytes from an I2C write command, but can't seem to get the DMA to provide the data for an I2C read command.I don't see any examples where DMA is used by the slave to provide transmit data. Is this possible, or is the I2C TX DMA only for master mode?Thanks.

Posted on April 06, 2018 at 16:43 Hai, Iam using the STM32H743VIT controller , We are using the spi4 in our board ,we generated the code using the cube mx nothing is coming(CLK and SIN)when transmit the data using the function ( HAL_SPI_Transmit(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)). we configured the SPI to the 8 bit mode.But with the same configuration the SPI2 is working fine. Thank you Best regards Maheshwar. #uphill-skiing #stm32h7-spi-sync #stm32h7 #spi Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.

I build the TouchGFX demo in the F32746G-Discovery sample project but the graphics aren't displaying properly.  The touchscreen is working 'cause I can switch screens and sometimes by luck get to a screen that is displaying text (e.g. About TouchGFX) but the rest of the graphics on the screen are just patterns of short horizontal lines, which somewhat represent perhaps a sine wave - don't really know.  Built the program using Atollic 9.2 and loaded with the STM32Cube Programmer (couldn't get ST-LINK to work- no way, no how - gave up in favor of the Cube Programmer and it worked for me right away.  However, need some guidance regarding the graphics display.

ADC channel selection is generated like this:LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerChannels(ADC1, LL_ADC_CHANNEL_0);LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerChannels(ADC1, LL_ADC_CHANNEL_1);LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerChannels(ADC1, LL_ADC_CHANNEL_TEMPSENSOR);and it is incorrect: there must be a call of LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerChAdd();

I use STM32cubeMX tool, generate interrupt function, compile and program successful in Keil V5. But this function doesn't work. How to solve the question?

I have been doing a lot of reading lately about the flashing process and bootloaders and not everything is clear.The datasheet of my microcontroller says that it is stlink that enables mbed. I have confirmed that I have to upload via stlink in order for mbed to work. I uploaded an mbed program using stm32flash via uart and it didn't work. My question is why? Why does the way in which I upload firmware affect how it runs? Is there a workaround (a way to use mbed while uploading with stm32flash and uart)?My next question has to do with the stlink firmware. As I understand it, the nucleo boards have the main microcontroller and an stm32f103cbt6 or similar for stlink. If I create a pcb and want mbed support, will I need to add this ic also? Will I need to flash stlink firmware onto it instead of the factory bootloader? Would this be doable for someone who has made pcbs in the past but is still not an expert?Edit:Looks like I had an error in my code and that's why flashing over uart didn't

Posted on May 15, 2017 at 20:07I'd like to ask if there will be any support for STM32L432 for the flash loader demonstrator. So far with the GUI version this device is not supported. I've tried to create STmap file from the STM32L4 just by editting the PID, but for GUI version the device is still not recognized and for the command line version it just recognize the device, but the erasing does not work and with option 'skip 0xFF' is this tool making windows exception and crashes. I'm using the latest version 2.8.0.#stm32l432-flash-loader-demonstrator

Posted on August 11, 2017 at 15:07Hello Community,I have configured a STM32F429ZIT to communicate through SPI (SPI6) as slave and using DMA, see attached file.The transmission works very well during 1 - 5 min but suddenly some transmission errors ocurs and HAL_SPI_ErrorCallback is called./***********************************************************************/void HAL_SPI_ErrorCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) {     if(hspi -> Instance == SPI6)     {         HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOF, GPIO_PIN_1, GPIO_PIN_SET);         memcpy((uint8_t*)HMI_slave_TX_data, (uint8_t*)HMI_slave_TX_working_buffer, 8);         HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi6, (uint8_t*)HMI_slave_TX_data, (uint8_t*)HMI_slave_RX_data, 8); //--- initiate HMI communication     } }/********************************************************************/Then the communications

We are having trouble getting the SPI_FullDuplex_ComPolling demo working with TrueSTUDIO. It works in uVision, have not tried IAR yet.When we import the project we get the following message for the Build Configuration:   • "Orphaned configuration. No base extension cfg exists for fr.ac6.managedbuild.config.gnu.cross.exe.debug.1501117984"What does this mean? There is no build configurations present, how can we get deployed to our target?

Can you get two separate debug sessions running at the same time? When I plug in two boards it makes a 'unique serial number' request and won't launch, I am not sure how to get working.Trying to get an Rx-Tx SPI demo working, between two NUCLEO-F091RC development boards. I would like to get separate instances of TrueSTUDIO running concurrently here, one for Master & one for Slave is this possible?

Hi, I would like to control a GPS module reset pin thru STM32L152. The reference circuit of the GPS module reset pin as per attached picture. According to the GPS data sheet, the reset pin "Only drive with open collector, no external voltage to be applied". How should I configure my GPIO connected to the reset pin? I tried this but it doesn't seem to work: // GPIO initialisation GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;   // Enable clock for GPIOC __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE();   // Initialise watchdog pin GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPS_RESET_PIN; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_OD; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_HIGH; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPS_RESET_PIN, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(100); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPS_RESET_PIN, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(100);Thank you very much!

please somebody help me.i really need the STMAP File supports STM32L433CCUX. i cannot see this stmap file in flash loader demo program. please give me stmap file or please let me konw how to modify with other stmap file.thanks a lot.

I am trying to understand how does this function works even though there are so many people complaining about it. My questions are these:1) What is the difference between using this in my code:HAL_SPI_Transmit (SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout) HAL_SPI_Receive (SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)and this:HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive (SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pTxData, uint8_t *pRxData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)I mean, if I use the Transmit function first and then immediately after it, I use the Receive function what's the difference with using only the TransmitReceive ? The only problem I can think of is that of receiving while sending. For example let's say that I want to send 4 bytes to the Slave and receive from it 7 bytes. Then there are 2 scenarios:1st Scenario: If my Slave device sends data only after the Master has sent all its data, which means that the Slave is going to wait the Master to s

Hello. Here is the latest version of the tutorial with details of the procedure that is working for us after much trial & error:< permanent link on our server >https://axxonshare.s3.amazonaws.com/my_combo_tutorial.zipStep by step procedure on how to integrate the STM32CubeMX tool with TouchGFX using the IAR and SW4STM32 compilers for the STM32F429i_DISC1 target hardware. With a working (resistive) touch panel.Welcome all feedback.

STM32F407VGT6 -> this controller have 192kb of sram, I create a big byte array have 131832 byte and i got an error in Keil.Any idea why?

Hi,Looking at the block diagram in the datasheet, ABH1, AHB2, AHB3, AHB4, AXI are listed as supporting 200MHz.Cube (v5.0.0, H7 v1.3.0) however will not allow them to be set higher than 100 MHz, and says the must be <- 100MHz in the hover text.Is cube or the datasheet correct?Thanks,Jacob

HelloTo generate code cubemx try to donwlad stm32cube_fw_f7_V1140.zip without success.Is it possible to have a link to download it in a different way ?Thanks,

Hi. Is there a compatibility list of mobile phones and NFC chips, like M24SR? I tried to connect to M24SR on my Samsung S6 - no luck! Same problem on latest Samsung and IPhone X. However, Blackberry PRIV recongizes it. May be, it is due to 14443-4 standard. 14443-3A tags are regognized easily on all mentioned phones. Thanks, Serafim.

Antenna is about 5 Ohm and 4.5uH, why is 1Ohm?

Hi,I am using the expansion board NUCLEO-NFC05A1 using the example code in X-CUBE-NFC5. I am testing the board with NFC-V ISO15693 tags but I cannot get it to read multiple tags at the same time as my STR3911B-DISCO does. Could anybody please point me in the right direction on what parameters to change to be able to do this?
