Hi all,I'm developing a custom board based on STM32MP153 SoC, and I need to use the internal RTC. I also need to output its 32.768kHz reference clock from I8 pin.As stated at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/RTC_device_tree_configuration, into the Linux dts I enabled the internal RTC using this node:&rtc { st,lsco = <RTC_OUT2_RMP>; pinctrl-0 = <&rtc_out2_rmp_pins_a>; pinctrl-names = "default"; status = "okay"; };but at the boot I get this log message:stm32_rtc 5c004000.rtc: Can't enter in init mode. Prescaler config failed. stm32_rtc: probe of 5c004000.rtc failed with error -110The driver is not loaded, thus I don't have the 32.768kHz clock on I8 pin.Could you help me to figure out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance, regardsMauro

Hi,I am using STM32G474 th STM32CubeIDE and I want to implement the break function for TIM1.When I configure the pin PA6 in the pinout view as TIM1_BKIN I expect that the port will be automatically configured as input, but after I checked in the GPIO configuration of the TIM1 I see that the pin was configured as Alternate Function Open Drain. Why is that happening? And if I try to configure it manually in the MX_GPIO_Init() function, my code is, obviously removed. What should I do?Thanks!!Daniel

I tried to use CMSIS DSP library for FFT implementation on STM32F407. I based my project on Tilen MaJerle library. I sample data with on board ADC and fill the input buffer with function TM_FFT_AddToBuffer(TM_FFT_F32_t* FFT, float32_t sampleValue). Hereafter I process data with function TM_FFT_Process_F32(TM_FFT_F32_t* FFT). uint8_t TM_FFT_AddToBuffer(TM_FFT_F32_t* FFT, float32_t sampleValue) {   /* Check if memory available */  if (FFT->Count < FFT->FFT_Size) {  /* Add to buffer, real part */  FFT->Input[2 * FFT->Count] = sampleValue;   /* Imaginary part set to 0 */  FFT->Input[2 * FFT->Count + 1] = 0; /* Increase count */  FFT->Count++;  }   /* Check if buffer full */  if (FFT->Count >= FFT->FFT_Size) {  /* Buffer full, samples ready to be calculated */  return 1;  }   /* Buffer not full yet */  return 0;  }     void TM_FFT_Process_F32(T

Hi,I want to connect some shields/sensors to STM32MP157C-DK2. Some of the sensors will draw about 200mA. How much current can I draw from the 5V/3V3 pins on the GPIO expansion connectors? The STM32MP157C-DK2 is powered over USB-C 5V/3A. OpenSTLinux is running on A7 and firmware on M4regardsLukas

Hello,I am developing an app using tortoise git, I have made a lot of commit and cleanup in rep and my application was ok.Ten commits ago I never made a clean up, so, when I cleaned up the repository my app crash in one line of code I made before.I am working with keil, I had clicked "generate code" in designer and then open keil and compile, but it crash in certain cases. The app is working 70% before I cleaned up git it was 100%.I really need urgent help. Thanks

Hi everyone,I have a problem about the integration of the SEGGER embOS RTOS with SBSFU.I have already succeeded with FreeRTOS but I would like to use embOS for my project. The "SECoreBin" project compiles well, I added the instruction to deactivate the systick in the SBSFU project just after "SFU_LL_SB_SRAM_Erase ();".When I run my "user app" project my interrupt "systick_handle" does not work.Have you ever used embOS with SBSFU ? Do you have any advice ?I've been struggling with this problem for several days now :(Best regards, Hugo

Hi,I am working on a custom board using the STM32F479NI.I have been able to use EXTI on the PC7 without problems. Now I need to implement it on PE2.But this time, the EXTI2_IRQHandler is being called over and over without any electrical changes on that pin.The schematic for that pin is very simple (one pull-up and a protection diode, Button is connected to PE2) : I am using STM32CubeMx to generate all the necessary code :And I made sure to call the MX_GPIO_Init() function.Right after calling the MX_GPIO_Init(), the EXTI2_IRQHandler is called over and over.I also made sure that the interrupt is being cleared, this is done in the CubeMx generated code in the function HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler :The callstack looks like this :I did not modify any of the CubeMx generated code, so the EXTI2_IRQHandler and HAL_GPIO_EXTI_IRQHandler are the default one. Please note that when using PE2 as a GPIO_Input, and pooling it, I do not see the issue.I also noticed that the voltage at this pin is dropping wh

Hi everyone,Would you mind recommending me good, preferably academic, sources to understand SVPWM ? Thanks in advance.

Hello, everyone!I am a user of STM32H753. I want to run two programs within STM32H753 and exchange the values of the variables between these two programs. (Program 1 is running on Flash memory bank 1 sector 0; Program 2 is running on Flash memory bank 2 sector 0.)For reference, I use STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0 as a compile tool.In the past, when IAR was used, two variables in the program were placed in the same address in the noinit area, and after changing the compilation tool to STM32CubeIDE, I do not know what to do.What is the

Posted on March 01, 2018 at 14:28That is anoying. STM32CubeProgrammer does not work in DFU mode and Its probably a driver problem. On Page 7/39 in UM2237 STM32CubeProgrammer software description - DFU Driver. There it is described to uninstall the old 'STM32 DFU Device driver' for DfuSe. Which i Did by deleting the driver in Windows Hardware Manager by right click - deinstall - delete all driver files. Then as descibed i ran the “STM32 Bootloader.bat file as admin. After that reconnected STM32 (any nucleo board) in DFU Mode but still the old 'STM Device in DFU Mode' like in Figure 1 on page 7/39 gots installed and not the STM32_Programmer Driver driver like in Figure 2 page 7/39Therefore STM32Cube Programmer does not connect to any uController in DFU modeSo how can i make a clean uninstall of your the old DFU driver?Thaks STM for your help in advance

I am attempting to debug my firmware for a STM32L452xx chip, which is programmed in at the memory address 0x08010000. The bootloader will be placed at 0x08000000, but at the moment the memory is empty. Is it possible to trick the debugger so it always starts at main for the firmware in the debugger i.e. somewhere after 0x08010000 memory address? I changed the IROM1 address, as well as the FLASH_BASE address in the HAL so the vector table is configured correctly. I am just struggling with the debugger aspect of running to main on the entrance to the debugger. I "think" I need to set the MSP pointer when i enter the debugger to a specific memory address, but I am unsure. Also am unsure if I need to do something else.I've already written a couple other bootloaders for different stm32 chips, but I've never gotten over the hump to be able to debug the firmware from a non-top memory address. I usually need to change the address settings before trying to debug. Hoping someone will tell me I a

I want to register the MAC address of my own board which STM32MP151CAA3 is mounted on.Can I use STM32CubeProgrammer to register the MAC address? If so, are the following commands correct? Example) MAC address which I want to register: 00:12:34:56:78:90 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x39 value=0x56341200 > STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -otp program wordID=0x3A value=0x00009078Also, can I update this OTP bits only once?(If I register the MAC address once, Can't I update it again?)Best regardsH. Hi all,I've met a weird issue, when using STM32F446VET chip to connect PC by USB, and PC alerts 'USB can't be recognized'.I've go throught some related topics on the forum, but unfortunately all didn't help. For example,1) disable VBUS sensing2) increase stack and heap size to 0x2000 or even 0x10000 .3) since the board is powered by USB, and STM32F446VET doesn't have VBUS pin. I've tried to add an external pull-up 1.5KΩ resistance4) make sure USB clock is 48MHZWhen i try to inspect the code(STM32F446ZE-Nucleo example of STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.25.0 package, downloaded from ST website), I found some other strange phenomenons: 1). the core provides USBRESET and ENUMDONE interrupts, but no OEPINT and IEPINT interrupts at all2). the USB code provides RXF_LVL interrupt in OTG_GINTSTAT, but OTG_GRXSTSP remains 0, and OTG_DOEPTSIZ0 is 0x60080018(PKTCNT field is 1, indicating no packet is written into RX FIFO)Has anybody met or solved similar question, or any other suggestion is really apprecia

Hello,I have a GUI, that is also combined with another tasks in the project. So we have some custom includes in the code of GUI. I wonder if we are able to check this GUI also in simulator. When I try to run Simulator, it complains about missing custom files in include statements...Can I just somehow solve, because I'd only like to try the TouchGFX part of the project. Is there any more info on how Simulator builds ?Thanks in advance,Regards,B.

Is it possible to implement touchgfx with a NUCLEO board. I think yes because my NUCLEO STM32F767NI has LTDC.But i doubt because the aren't touchgfx templates for nucleo boards.

hi,slowly slowly i've got my growing TouchGFX project to become too fat for the2MB flash on a STM32F429..as i've put too much graphic assets on the "database" and i'm not using all of them in the screens, i'm wondering if there's a way to find out "programmatically" which assets are not really referenced.. ( i know which "few" icons i put up with a routine..)i only found this thread, 4 year old, that's really shows a manual procedure (and tedious..) =)https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/207462585-Removing-unused-bitmapthanx for hints!

I want to make freeRTOS touchgfx on simulator (GUITask, TransDataTask). Does TouchGFX support for freeRTOS on simulator? Please help me. Thanks

I seem to be unable to set the time more than once after reset. Here is a way to reproduce my problem:Create a new CubeMX project with the RTC enabledEdit the MSP init function the following way:...After the time and date are set by MSP init...change the hour in the sTime structure, e.g. sTime.Hours = 0x09;...and then issue HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD);...and then issue HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD);run the code in the debugger and break in the new readTime call from step 6note that the value of hour has not changedOr insert this code in your main() function:/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ if (1) { RTC_TimeTypeDef tm; HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); tm.Hours = 0x06; /* assuming you initialized to something other than 6 */ HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &tm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD); /* tm.Hours does not change to 6 */ } /* USER CODE END 2 */Reading the reference manual, t

Hello,I have two nearly identical boards and I need to connect them over USB.One possiblle way is using "Virtual Com Port", but haven't found anything about how to implement it on host device. Is there any example of doing this or any other maybe good alternative for this connection.I don't need really high speed, few bytes every 100msec...Thanks in advance, regards,Bully.

Hello,I'm following this great tutorial from here :https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/board-bring-up/how-to/03-display-internal/and I can't get past this step. Screen is blank and nothing happens... I have this screen :ER-TPC050A2-1 5?Capacitive Touch Panel with Controller , 800x(RGB)x480 Dots I've setup framebuffer in internal RAM, but I'm not sure what to put inLTDC settings in CubeMX, because I don't have data on front/back porch. It's chinese screen and this data is not specified in short datasheet that I have.I also cannot determine what would be the apropriate clock setting on MCU for screen to work. What can I do ?Is there any procedure that I maybe set "safe" values or are there any recomendation with what values to experiment ? Any other advice ?This is my first project in this area and I must be missing something obvious...Thanks in advance,Rob.

If it can, which pin on ST-Link/V2 should I connect to the last pin on Steval-Smartag1(which is said to be connected to USART2_TX)? Thank you!

I tried to programm STEVAL-SMARTAG1 with sample software provided on the webpage (https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32-ode-function-pack-sw/fp-sns-smartag1.html) version: V3.0.0I used STM32 ST-LINK Utility and STM32 Nucleo for programming.I tried both .bin files and software for Keil. In both cases I have issues. There is no error during build or debugging. In the app graphs not working but I "energy harvesting" feature, changing sensors or sampling works correctly. Sometimes after few writes in the row orange LED starts flashing (indicates error).I use Android to read the tag.Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks,Marta

I'm doing something very similar, and using the steval-smartag1 as a jumping off point. I'd like to be able to use the UART as a second SPI device, but I'm concerned that doing that would interfere with the debug interface. On a related subject, can the UART, in synchronous mode, be used as a 3 wire SPI? It doesn't appear so, but I'd love confirmation. Thanks!

Hi,I am using ST25DV04 discovery kit.I have used the GUI menu on the Kit to put the Tag in FTM mode to transfer picture.I am using another reader to read the picture. The flow I am following is as follows:Discover the NFC IC.Ask the IC for message length using ABh command.I am of impression that as the NFC Tag is already ready for FTM I should not need to make any other configurations. Am I correct in making that assumption? It is also worth nothing that the read operation does not return any error flag and that makes the returned value 00 01.But the problem is that this does not seem right as other Read Configuration commands (0xA0) for GPO, MB_WDG, MB_MODE also return the same behavior i.e 00 01.After presenting the system default password of 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00,I have tried first updating the register with new value and then reading back, both of which dont report an error but upon read back the register value remains unchanged. Please help me out with this. Thanks
