Hi guys, I disabled flashing core M7 in STM32CubeProgrammer option bytes to run just M4, but now I cant connect to the board and the tool says Error: No STM32 target found!. Is there some possibility how to reset the option bytes to again run M7?Thanks a lot!

Although SPC582B family has up to 7 FlexCAN modules, some units have only 3 (i.e. SPC582B60E1CD00X).Which 3 of 7 CAN modules are available in this processor?Since SPC5Studio shows 7 CANbuses for this processor, I don't know which I/O should I design for CANbuses.

Did someone has developed an i2c driver for SPC56EL70L5 that has no on board specific peripheral? Thanks

I am assigning pins on a STM32F446 micro in cubemx, and I would like to connect multiple chips to the micro on one spi bus.I would like each chip to be connected to a separate chip select pin, aka spi_nss.When I try to assign a second spi_nss pin, it deletes the first spi_nss pin.How do I assign multiple spi_nss pins?

Hello,I am assigning pins on a STM32F446 micro in cubemx, and I would like to read 2 encoders. When selecting Encoder Mode under the Combined Channels dropdown of the timer configuration, it automatically selects ch1 & ch2.Ch1 of the timer conflicts with other pins I have assigned (and can't easily move around). Is it possible to do encoder mode on a different pair of channels, say ch3 and ch4, or is there something special about ch1 and ch2?Also, what is encoder mode? I just presume I should use it to connect encoders, but I don't actually know how it works.

Following instructions @ https://www.emsyslabs.com/how-to-compile-linux-using-yocto-for-stm32mp1/andhttps://koansoftware.com/yocto-project-meta-layer-for-stm32mp1-by-koan/I'm led to believe that a qtcreator executable or script will be created which I can run on the host (Debian) to create and cross compile a QT5 app for STM32MP157.I'm new to QT but need to create a simple UI to run on STM32MP157, what am I missing ?Thanks in advance.

I used ST25R3911 and ST25DV16K for nfc.I frequently get an error message about ERR_RF_COLLISION from rfalST25xVPollerFastReadMessage.What is the problem? As far as I know that RF_COLLISION is happened when the NFC reader has multiple NFC Tags neraby. But, I only used one tag(ST25DV16K).

Hi, I have been following the STM32WB workshop, however the material seems to not fit to the current FW anymore.I need to read a sensor that is connected via I2C and send the results via BLE.I can get the sensor readings and output them via UART but as soon as APPE_Init() is called, the output to UART does not work anymore. I assume it is a problem due to scheduling, however the schedule.h file referenced in the workshop videos seem to not exist anymore, so I am stuck here.Does anyone have a working current example of reading sensor values in parallel to running BLE services, or an updated info on how to use scheduling?

Hi, I have 2 Nucleo boards: NUCLEO STM32F767ZI (F4) and NUCLEO STM32F446RE (F7).I'm using macOS 10.15.4 omn MacBook Pro 2017 with STM32CubeProgrammer 2.4.0 and stlink tools from brew (GitHub.com/texane/stlib).When I plug in F4 over USB-C to USB-Mini then neither Cube Programmer or stlink command line tool can find it. The device is powered properly and begins the blinking demo. But when I use F7 over USB-C to USB-Micro then both tools properly identify the board and the IC and I can program it over built-in ST-LINK.So would anyone know what might be the issue with F4? Am I using wrong cable (unfortunately it's the only one I have) or maybe do I need to do anything with the jumpers? I just took both boards from their boxes and plugged them in. And as described F7 works fine, but F4 is not discoverable...Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi all,I'm currently using a nucleo-L031 board for some testing and I came across a weird RTC phenomenon. My goal is to do some ADC and send the data through USART, set up an RTC alarm for 10 seconds later, and then fall into stop mode.I have set up the main system clock to be drawn from the HSE, and the timer setup to use the ADC works correctly (i.e. correctly samples 10 samples over 1 sec, then send the data through USART), so I know that the HSE is clocking.I was able to achieve the RTC alarm and timing using the LSI and the LSE by adjusting the prescaler values correctly, but I was unable to do this using the HSE no matter the prescaler value. In fact, I even set the prescaler factor to both 1 and to 2^22, but neither had an effect on incrementing time which I tried to get using HAL_RTC_GetTime function.I'm going to use an STM32F051K8 custom board with this program later, and the MCU is only compatible with an HSE but not an LSE, and considering timining is important in this projec

I'm using the SPI peripheral on an STM32H743 as a slave. Is there a way to change the contents of the TX FIFO without resetting the peripheral? I need to always transmit a specifc byte at the beginning of a transaction along with other data, but the master may only request the first byte to analyze it (It is a status word indicating the repsonse is ready). At this point I need to refill the FIFO with the status word and the data.

Hi,I am using 3 ADC modules triggered with TIM3 to start in the same time.I read the result in the DMAx_Channely_IRQHandler function and for debug only I do a toggle in a GPIO.I have 3 DMAx_Channely_IRQHandler functions , one for each ADC with DMA and 3 output pint that I toggleAll of the outputs are showing me that the DMAx_Channely_IRQHandler function is called twice.I am using STM32G474 and STM32CubeIDE, with HAL.Why is this happening and how can I fix it?Thanks!! hi during the debug of my program with UDE it gets stuck on osalThreadDelayMilliseconds i found in the forum that the problem may be a PIT configuration problem but i don't know how to set it.

Hi I'm a student, I'm trying to program for the first time a SPC584B-DIS developer board. I'm trying to set 6 pin as GPIO because I want to control 6 switches by setting the voltage to 0V for close and to 5V for open but I can't figure out how to do it.

Hi, For education purpose, I'm trying to create, compile, load and debug assembly projects with STM32Cube. Unfortunately, there are no built in options to do it. I noticed that I can erase on an existing project the main.c and create a main.s instead. It works, but I'd prefer to create an assembly project from scratch. Here are my questions :Even with this solution, I cannot access the external variables (.extern) RCC_BASE, GPIOA_BASE, etc... defined in stm32f446xx.h in order to program easily the registers. Is there a proper way to create an empty assembly project ?I also created a project with Makefile that I imported. I can compile, but in order to load or debug, i don't know how to set a correct configuration. A solution is to import that configuration from a C STM32 project, but that's no satisfying : it works, but I still have error pop ups all the time (Not able to get MCU/Board target).Thank you if you have answers to my questions !

Hello all, regarding Application note AN4539 all MCU's of STM32G4 shall support HRTIM peripheral, reference manual also describe HRTIM functionalities for all STM32G4, but on some pages and datasheet it is no information about HRTIM support. Which information is correct then?P.S. For example STM32G473RC shall support HRTIM, but it is not mentioned in datasheet

We are evaluating the M24LR04 for a specific application where energy harvesting is required. We have configured the energy harvesting mode 3 to ensure that it will attempt to continue to harvest with low magnetic field strength. However, we regularly see the power supply shut down with certain phones. The Nexus 5, for example, will only harvest energy in a very narrow range between 5 and 8 mm distance and in a very narrow X, Y alignment window. Is there anything we can do to help this? Why does the chip shut down energy harvesting at all? I would sooner let Vout sag than shut it down completely. Is there a different chip that we can use that will have better performance?

hi st: I am using lis2dh, driven by spi. Initially set to fifo mode, 25hz. When the power is turned on for the first time, I can read that there is data in the fifo, and the data are normal. When I reset the mcu and initialize the sensor again, the data cannot be read later. I have to power on lis2dh before it can work properly. So how to reset lis2dh, I have tried to set it to power dowm mode and then set it to normal mode, and it still behaves like this.ps (vddio and vdd connect to vdd)thanks!

I'm having the same trouble as many on here in that I can't persuade USART1 of my STM32F4 to come out with the correct baud rate. My transmitted data appears as garbage when received at 115,200 and if I attach a Saleae logic probe to the Tx pin it measures the emitted baud rate at 172,890 bits/s, so a factor of 1.5 too large. I know the external clock on my board is 12 MHz (it is printed on the can) and my clock configuration code to run at 168 MHz is therefore: RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0};   // Configure the main internal regulator output voltage __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE3);   // Initialize the CPU, AHB and APB bus clocks RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = 1

I use ethernet switch instead of PHY with stm32f4. While RMII pins are connected to STM32, I manage MDIO pins with SPI.There is basic things whic is I can not understand. What is the difference between the autonegation, speed settings in STM32 ethernet driver configuration and switch autonegation, speed configuration?

I have been working through the STM32WB workshop (https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/STM32WB_workshop_MOOC.html), which has mostly been excellent. Unfortunately, when I get to workshop 4 (How to modify BLE profile), the version of STM32_WPAN in the version of STM32CubeMX and the STM32WB libraries used in the demo are very different from the current version.I am using the STM32WB Cube_FW V1.5.0 In STM32CubeMX version 5.6.0 and the STm32CubeIDE version 1.3.0. The workshop uses Cube_FW V1.0.0.When I add a Custom Template for BLE, several new tabs are added which need completing., and I can find no details on how to complete these. I have had a go at adding the SHORTENED_LOCAL_NAME to the advertising elements, but the generated code has a "value_not_setted" entry, which causes the build to fail. Replacing this parameter with just a number (e.g. '0') allows the programme to build, but it does not work.Is there an update to this workshop anywher

Hi,I've developed a custom PCB for STM32F051K8 connected to an external crystal oscillator (8Mhz - nx3225gd from NDK). I think I have set everything correct on CubeMX and managed to get a working firmware going. I set up a 100Hz timer for ADC through setting system clock source to HSE on CubeMx, and the ADC timing seems to be correct (1000 samples take roughly 10 seconds). My issue is that when I try to clock the RTC with the HSE, the timing seems to be consistently off by a factor of 8 or something close to that - Instead of showing 20secs it shows 2min 40secs.When I change the clock source to LSI on the CubeMX clock configuration tab, the timing seems to be closer when I store the timing results same as above - with the LSI, it shows about 22secs.Supposing that I have set the load capacitors of the external correctly, is there anything else I should do to make it work? especially with the RTC (as it seems that the system clock is working fine with the external crystal as the source)
