I've hung a 32.768kHz crystal (IQD) on to my STM32F767VGT6 with a pair of 10pF caps as per AN2867, but I'm not getting the LSE to oscillate. If I route the LSE to an MCO output I see random transitions, which explains why the RCC status bit shows it's running but it clearly isn't. I tried some other crystals I had to hand, no difference. Can someone confirm I don't need to set the GPIO AF fields, I just need the LSE enabled?

I am trying to use the chart provided by NodeRed to set the Ymin and Ymax of my graphs so I can properly observe data for debugging(auto scaling is ruining detail). I'm aware NodeRed's chart node requires an inject architecture but I'm not sure how that it supposed to work with variables coming out of ST's post processing node. I've only seen examples of the inject node triggering a function node to provide dummy data. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Hello Community, @Community member @Martin KJELDSEN I have used STM32F746G-DISCO kit.My Purpose is to implement the Alert Screen.(See Image 1)Also i have create the custom container.(See Image 2)I have received the data from modbus. As, i received the Alert bit i need to display on the Alert Page.Case:Suppose i have received the 10 error.I display it on device but when Alert number is reduced to 10 to 5. Then i need to remove the 5 items from the display. Can you please guide me how to remove previous error?Regards,Nikunj Patel

I am using STM32F779NI for my project.https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00315319-stm32-gpio-configuration-for-hardware-settings-and-lowpower-consumption-stmicroelectronics.pdf Section 6.1 of above pdf states that unused input GPIO should be configured as analog mode to reduce power consumption by Schmitt Trigger. Now since after power on reset most of the GPIOs are in input floating mode by default, does that mean all those unused GPIOs needs to configure in analog mode to reduce the consumption?

Can you help me to choose a chip or technology. I need to read some passive tags on distance about 2 meters. Is it possible with the ST25R3916-DISCO and ISO15693 protocol? Which anntenna i should make? Which tags i should use? If no, can you give me advice which chip i should use and so one?

Hi,the IPR bit assignment in 'PM0253 Rev 5 p.189' tells me that a number of bits [n-1:0] are read as zero and ignore writes. At this point n isn't 'n = m MOD 4'.Obviously n is 4 because i can write only the four upper bits and bits [3:0] stay at zero.So i have only a priority value of 0-15 left-shifted by 4.Do i make a mistake?Does someone have a better document for the NVIC?For functional safety i have to readback all registers and check them. If i write 0x16 to a register and read 0x10 back i have a problem. I am not using CMSIS or HAL.Kind regardsDaniel

Hi.My board have a STM32F070CBT6TR MCU connected to a ST25R95 NFC transceiver.I would like to know about the possibility of using the ST25R95 to wake up the STM32 from sleep mode when a tag/field be placed near the antenna of the transceiver.Pin 12 / IRQ_IN of ST25R95 is connected to PC14 of STM32, and pin 14 / IRQ_OUT of ST25R95 is connected to PC13/WKUP2 of STM32. Consider that both ICs are constantly supplied with 3.3V, then after some timeout the STM32 will enter in sleep mode. Then, I would like the ST25R95 could wake-up the STM32, (maybe through IRQ_OUT or other pin), while the STR25R95 consumption be lower when there is no NFC tags near to my PCB.Is that possible? If yes, how?Or in order to have such functionality I would need to change the transceiver (which part number)? Is there any way the ST25R95 can be configured via SPI to do such thing? (generate a level change on any WKUPx pin of STM32 when a tag is placed close to the antenna?)I am still unclear after checking the data

bootloader update the application saved on the USB memory stick attached to on STM32F429 Discovery board when reset occurs, it detects if USB flash memory pen is attached, if attached read and copy application file (hexfile) from usb and update If reset happens or the board is powered up -> boot loader checks if usb flash memory is attached to the usb port , -> if attached-> check if there is firmware stored in the usb flash memory pen ->is so copy and update the application from usb stick-> then jump to the application which has been updated from the flash memory -> end. Thanks I really appreciate of you can help me with this thanks.

I am trying to load into external flash but while doing this I need to have MCU held in reset.

Hello People, I have 2 ST-Link/v2 here and I ordered another one from Mouser who arrived yesterday. So I decided to test it today. As a surprise, I plug it to my PC and opened the STM32CubeProgrammer. At first I saw the Serial Number in the ST-Link configuration. But when I wanted to do another refresh to confirm the ST-Link/v2 device in my computer. The software freezes for a few seconds and then showed to me that there is no ST-Link/v2 recognized. Every time I refresh to look for STLinks the software is not responding for a few seconds and the output is a not recognized device.I can check in windows 10 that it is plugged an ST-Link because of a USB device with the name "STM32 STLink". Now, my first ST-Link works in terms that is detected by my programming tools without any issue. But the others 2 (That's why I decided to order a 3rd one) have the same behavior. I am not plug in it to any board because I wanted to be sure to have a clear connection with the new STLink but this is not

Hello everyone, I am currently working on a project with touchGFX (4.13.0) and I want to use CMSISv2 functions and calls. Since the default configuration from touchGFX is CMSISv1, I open the cubeMX project created by touchGFX and changed the CMSIS version in the FreeRTOS config menu. I generated files from cubeMX, then generated files from touchGFX. And when I "Run Target" I get this error :Run Target Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Done Post Generate touchgfx update_project --project-file=simulator/msvs/Application.vcxproj Done Post Generate Target touchgfx update_project --project-file=../STM32F7508-DK.ioc --platform=m7 Done Compile make -f ../gcc/Makefile -j8 Generating TouchGFX/generated/texts/src/Texts.cpp Generating TouchGFX/generated/texts/src/LanguageGb.cpp Compiling TouchGFX/generated/fonts/src/Font_verdana_40_4bpp_0.cpp Compiling TouchGFX/generated/fonts/src/Kerning_verdana_40_4bpp.cpp Compiling TouchGFX/generated/font

Hello,I've observed that output level on both antenna port is lower than is specified in datasheet. I've checked it on two eval boards. Below results:For internal PA: (output level set/ measured level/ detector voltage -12 / 4,5 dBm / 0 ,71V -6 / 8,9 dBm / 0,81V 0 / 12,2 dBm /0,89VFor external PA: -12 / 14,4 dBm , / 0,92V -6 / 19,5 dBm / 1,05V - 3 / 20,8 dBm / 1,08V 0 / 21,5 dBm / 1,1VIn both cases output level is lower by 7-8 dBm that expected. Any suggestion?Best Regards, Michał

Hi everyone,I was just wondering if measuring VBat in continuous will drain the battery faster ? And how fast ?Unfortunately, I don't have tools that should be able to measure such a low current.I use the STM32F410CB in my project. I use the adc1 (the only available) with channel 0 and 1. I use DMA continuous requests.I have added a battery and measure it with the same ADC. Worksperfectly. But I'm afraid that the continuous measurement of vbat will really drain my battery.

Hi Team,How to transfer huge data through UART interface , is it any method or procedure to achieve. Brief description: Quectel module is been used, data of 80kb transported from AWS server to Quectel module. We need to identify the fastest and efficient way to transport the data from Quectel module to STM32F407 MCU via UART interface.Sudeendra S

I need cheap microcontrollers that have six usart and uart.Do you have your recommends ?

I use STM32F030R8T6 and an interface card that plugs into a breadboard for direct prototyping, ST-Link v2 STM32 and STM8 Programmer, both from Newbiehack.com.Connected as on photo: SWDIO to pin 46 (PA13), SWCLK to pin 49 (PA14), GND to pin 62, 3.3V to pin 64. When I trying to launch I have got'Failed to start GDB server.I changed setup in Debug Configuration from 'Autostart local GDB server'to 'Connect to remote GDB server'. After launch I got message 'Error in final launch sequence, Failed to execute MI command, connection timeout (przekroczony czas oczekiwania na połączenie). When I used Nucleo-F767ZI with on-board ST-LINK debugger/programmer and STM32CubeIDE there was no any problem. Is the hardware fault or software problem?

Hi,I am currently trying to develop the Audio device on STM32F0 to stream audio data from USB to IS2 signal, although It worked without any issues on STM32F4 discovery board, when I am trying to apply same logic for Nucleo32 It does not seem to work at all. Windows displays the board like so:I will try to describe my problem in more details; after successful compilation, while debugging, program stops on HardFault_Handler(); . Code part that seems to be error cause is in usbd_audio.c file in Middlewares section of the project.I tried to add more heap memory to solve this issue but changing it in the project does not seem to affect STM32F042K6TX_FLASH.ld and when I change it manually it gives an compilation error. The code is generated through STM32CubeMX, I have not done anything to it. Still I will attach them if someone would like to look through it.Am I on good track? Did anyone had that issue before? Please share your thoughts.

I followed the tutorial step by step via StM official youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QDYSWU3bD0). Also before i had tried previous tutorials. But there was such a problem `ERROR: The adapter board has not been Recognized. The WHO_AM_I register does not match the device selected.` come up with .

On PIN/BALL defintion table of H7 MCU datasheet, these are a lot of alternate function pin names, such as TIM15_BKIN, TIM15_CH1N. Where can I find the detail describtions for these pin names?

As I am trying to write the data into board flash memory, Is ther any example code to write the 64bytes of data into board flash memory.I have tried the below shared code but its not showing the result I want.flashAddress = 0x08040000void Write_Flash(uint32_t data){ HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_EOP | FLASH_FLAG_OPERR | FLASH_FLAG_WRPERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGAERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGSERR ); FLASH_Erase_Sector(FLASH_SECTOR_6, VOLTAGE_RANGE_3); HAL_FLASH_Program(TYPEPROGRAM_WORD, FlashAddress, data); HAL_FLASH_Lock();}Can you please help me on this.

Does the STM32WB BLE stack support diversity antenna through an external RF switch?

This document: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00082034-standard-software-driver-for-c90lc-flash-stmicroelectronics.pdfdescribes a flash library intended to be used with JTAG on the SPC5 family, which we would like to use for our CI. However, we have not found the library itself anywhere. Is there any direct link available for downloading the library? Also, is the source code available? ThanksLuis

I've developed an IOT device and now I'm concerned about security. Uses ethernet, tls and mqtt to upload cloud data. Checks a directory on the web for firmware updates. The mqtt is well sanitized and i'm not extremely worried about attack vectors coming from a compromised IOT device. I'm more concerned about software IP theft and attacks on the IOT devices themselves that would damage their operation. I’m also not after perfect security, just enough to be an enormous pain in the *** to anyone who gets the idea to try. The data sent and received apart from the firmware itself isn’t private in any sense.I have not setup or implemented IAP yet for firmware updating so I have some questions about that. Does IAP erase and replace the entire firmware or only the piece after where IAP runs? Can I have a persistent key saved on the chip [stm32f427] that survives the IAP so that firmware would not have to ship with it? All devices have sd cards.Delivering the firmware unencrypted is not an opti
