Hello, currently reading out an ADC sensor with SPI. The goal is to achieve a fast readout. Currently I am at around 200000 readouts per second, but I am wondering if this delay between two LL_SPI_TransmitData16 is because of the LL_SPI_ReceiveData16 or just because of the way LL works. Is it possible to even get faster readouts with adjusting some code? (clocks are maxed out already) See code below:GPIOD->BSRR = PIN_SPI_CS << 16U; // CS LOW for(int i = 0; i < 2; i++) { while(!LL_SPI_IsActiveFlag_TXE(SPI1)); LL_SPI_TransmitData16(SPI1, 0x0000); while(!LL_SPI_IsActiveFlag_RXNE(SPI1)); spiRxBuf[i] = LL_SPI_ReceiveData16(SPI1); } GPIOD->BSRR = PIN_SPI_CS; // CS HIGHAnd here is the signal capture: (MOSI, CS, CLK, MISO)Thanks!

According to the explanation of register CRA_REG_M, the highest of "Minimum data output rate" is 220 Hz. Dose it mean that it can output data in a speed more than 220 Hz when the value of CRA_REG_M is 00011100 ? Look forward to your reply.#lsm303dlhc #datasheet #speed of output data

I recently updated my IDE, and when trying to open my project I get the expected "Project has been created with 5.6.1 and needs to be updated", but whether I click "Migrate" or "Continue", the whole IDE just goes to "not responding" and I have to close it out. I need to regenerate code - is there a work-around for this?

Hi,Reading the Ref Manual of the STM32F407, section 13.8.3 Conversion without DMA and without overrun detection, I am not sure I understand the logic behind. The Ref manual says:"13.8.3 Conversions without DMA and without overrun detectionIt may be useful to let the ADC convert one or more channels without reading the data eachtime (if there is an analog watchdog for instance). For that, the DMA must be disabled(DMA = 0) and the EOC bit must be set at the end of a sequence only (EOCS = 0). In thisconfiguration, overrun detection is disabled".Let us assume that I have 4 channels in a regular group that I want to sequentially measure (SCAN mode enabled). All 4 channels share the same one and only data register ADC_DR.If I set EOCS=0, the EOC bit will be set at the end of the sequence (i.e. after the 4th channel conversion), what will happen to the data of the first 3 channel conversion? That data will be lost, wouldn't it?Thank you,

So, I am learning stm32 mcus, using a nucleo f4 board.Everything was working fine and now debug launch fails.Actually, I was doing one debug, closed it and next debug session won't launch.Atollic TrueSTUDIO does work with the same settings (st-link gdb server in the debugger settings).CubeIDE works in linux.

Hi everyone, I recently got a Nucleo board (STM32L476RG) to introduce myself to the stm32 mcu and I've installed the stm32cubeide alongside it. I've been trying to run a simple blinky project for the past hour but I keep getting this message, "Waiting for debugger connection... Debugger connected... Debugger connection lost... Shutting Down..." Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks

i want to know which drivers require less space(small HEX FILE) and good optimization HAL or LL driver?

Hi everyone,I am using an STM32L412KB chip and I currently have an ADC channel configured to trigger a conversion on the rising edge of TIM15. I have the timer setup to be a 1kHz square wave. In the ADC interrupt handler I toggle an LED on my board, and when I probe the signal across the LED it shows 500 Hz (it toggles every ADC conversion, so this makes sense). My problem occurs when I try to use a DMA channel to transfer the data from the ADC channel into a circular buffer. I have the DMA configured to interrupt after a full transfer is complete (100 16-bit values). When I do the same test with the DMA interrupt handler toggling the LED, I get a 1.4 MHz square wave which makes no sense. A single ADC conversion takes 1ms and to transfer 100 samples I should be seeing a 100ms period on the signal. In debug mode I can see the values are being properly transferred into the specified memory location, but there is something funky going on with the DMA interrupt. Here is my code:(sorry in a

I'm trying to run the aws_demos project from X-CUBE-AWS on the B-L4S5I-IOT01A development board. I've successfully programmed and run the provisioning image. I've successfully built the aws_demos project, and have the "B-L4S5I-IOT01_aws_demos.sfb" and "SBSFU_B-L4S5I-IOT01_aws_demos.bin" binaries in the STM32CubeIDE/PostBuild folder. When I program and run the latter program as instructed in the "Getting Started with X-CUBE-AWS" manual though, it seems the program hangs and gets rebooted by the watchdog, instead of outputting the PEM certificate.====================================================================== = (C) COPYRIGHT 2017 STMicroelectronics = = = = Secure Boot and Secure Firmware Update = ======================================================================     = [SBOOT] SECURE ENGINE INITIALIZATION SUCCESSFUL = [SBOOT] STATE: CHECK STATUS ON RESET . I am working with an IIS2DLPC. Using i2c I can write to and receive ACKs from the accelerometer as expected. I can also view this on my o'scope. However, when I request a read of any register I always get 0x0. I am using a PIC16F1503 microprocessor running at 16MHz. At this point all that is in my code is my i2c bit banging code. I assume I have some sort of timing issue on the read but I am not sure how to find it or determine my issue. One thing to note, I have a function to wait for the bus to become idle. In this function there is a timeout in the event the clock is never released by the IIS2DLPC. This timeout seems to have no impact on the write operations. Again, I assume, because the clock is never released by the IIS2DLPC, I never receive the read. I inherited this code from a prior project with a different accelerometer. However, everything looks right. Any help you can provide is appreciated.void main(void) {   OSCCON = 0x7A; //16 Mhz   //RS this was not setting

I search the net, and found a post with someone with a similar issue, but the link that was posted on the response is dead error 404.I was able to set up the significant motion event to trigger on int1 but it only seems to read 1 axis of the accelerometer. And depending on its position it might never triggers the interruptWhat I would like to do is set up a "wake up" interrupt, that happens when motion is detected on any of the accelerometer axis.Do you have any examples or sample code of this being implemented? The one in the AN4650 never triggers no matter how i shake my board.Thank you.Luis.

Hi,I have a test program that works for our old board that uses I2C LSM303AGR. Now we have a new board with LSM303AGR and the test program does not work. I would like to know if there is any change in I2C Slave Address for LSM303AGR. Our LMS03AGR circuitry is according to datasheet.Best Regards,Markel Robregado

is there a way to mesh the CubeMX configuration made for a STM32H747I-DISCO and the code created on TouchGFX. Since the TouchGFX can program the Discovery board is there a way to, after the code is generated ( graphics) add it to CUBEIDE even if manually and debug the non-graphical side of the code there?any manual bypass to the fact that in CUBEMX we cant configure it to use TouchGFX?

I had build 2 screens (screen 1 and screen 2)in each screen i place 2 text (using wildcard) with purpose display Time Minute and Time Second form RTC.i had success in the first screen (screen 1), but i want to when i change to screen 2, the Time Minute and Time Second counter and display constantly from screen 1. Absolutely when i change from screen 2 to screen on it must same above concept.i had code the same code for the screen 2, but when i change from screen 1 to screen 2, it is hanged. So how can i solve that problem, that means i how can i update and show Time minute and Time Second when i change between 2 screen. Thanks everyone

Hello, I'm using STM32F7.I want to save data on F7 memory, where is not delete after reset. My data may has 1-2KB size.Anyone can tell me how to do that?I read and found that i can do with no init ram, but I can not find any tutorial or documents related it. Many thanks,Hieu

I have a STEVAL STWINCSV1 board with an STM32L4R9 chip connected to my computer via USB. I am trying to use OpenOCD to flash a new image. I am using the command `openocd -d -f board/stm32l4discovery.cfg` to try to open a connection to the board. Here are the contents of the cfg file# Explicitly for the STM32L476 discovery board: # http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF261635 # but perfectly functional for any other STM32L4 board connected via # an stlink-v2-1 interface. # This is for STM32L4 boards that are connected via stlink-v2-1.   source [find interface/stlink-v2-1.cfg]   transport select hla_swd   source [find target/stm32l4x.cfg]   reset_config srst_onlyWhen I plug in the board via USB and check the output of dmesg, here is what I get (I plugged the board in multiple times):[15316.981696] usb 1-1.3: new full-speed USB device number 7 using xhci_hcd [15317.119120] usb 1-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=0483, idProduct=5740, bcdDevice= 2.00 [15317.119121]

I am using STM32CubeMX v6.0.1. I am designing for the chip STM32L552RET6. The problem is I want to output as a GPDSC file and the option is greyed out. If I select a different chip, I can select that toolchain no problem. How do I force the application to select this toolchain?

Dear All,Board: Nucleo - H745ZI-QWhat am I trying to do ?I am using to measure pulse width of an signal using input capture mode of timer 2 channel 1. Then multiply that width by two and wait for that much time and generate an output pulse using output compare mode of timer 2 channel 2.What have I done?I configure the GPIOs for Timer 2 channel 1 and Channel 2,that is pins PA0, PB3.I configure the timer with ARR = 0xFFFF, PSC = 0x9, thus effective timer clock is 20MHz.I configure the channel 1 as input capture mode , sensitive to both rising and falling edge.I configure channel 2 as output compare mode, mode "0001", upon match PB3 should go high.I enable interrupt for channel 1.Start the timer. When the rising edge occur, in ISR , I read CNT value. When the fallig edge occurs, in ISR , I read CNT value, find the pulse width, multiply the valur by two, stop the counter, reset the counter, load CCR2 by the computed value and enable the channel 2 and start the timer again.Present Issue: Puls

GPIO_PinRemapConfig (GPIO_Remap_SWJ_Disable, ENABLE); I closed the JTAG pins on the stm32f103 processor with the command. Then when I tried to connect via the ST-LINK Utility program with the Connect-to-Target button, it did not see the processor. So far, everything continued as we wanted. In my settings it was as follows:Connection settings: SWDMode: NormalReset Mode: Software System ResetEnable debug in low power mode: EnabledWith these settings, when I tried to connect with the Target-> Automatic Mode option, I was able to pass code over the st-link utility again. However, I had thrown the software with the code to close the JTAG pins. No way I should be able to access the processor via JTAG. What is this situation caused by?Thank you.

Hi!I want to use 2 firmware on the same microcontroller, one is written at 0x8000000 with ram starting at 0x20000000. The other is flashed at 0x8040000 with ram starting at 0x20010000.The first firmware should use the second as a function. So i allocated a function pointer, like in a common bootloader, and used the function. The function execute, because the led switches on, but it does not return to the caller firmware after execution. These are the 2 main of the projects, that are all the executed code:Caller program:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */

Greetings, I have my STM32WB55RGV6 connected to my computer through USB using the ST-LINK port on the board. When trying to flash the coprocessor to run an example application from the WB firmware package, I cannot even erase the previous firmware. Using the commands from the attached link results in an error to erase the firmware, with message FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWN. I have no problems flashing the main processor with binaries using this tool or armKEIL, but for some reason I cannot get the hang of this. I have even tried following the release notes addresses for programming but nothing seemed to work. Does anybody have a solution for this issue? Thank you for your attention, I have added some screenshots below to make my issue easier to understand. 1- Initial Connection using st-link2- attempting to erase firmware3- attempting to flash FUS firmware4 and 5 - Attempting to flash BLE full stack firmwarePedro Casanova

When using the ST-LINK Utility, after connecting to the target , I see :Device ID:0x410Device flash Size:64KBytesDevice family:STM32F10xx Medium-densityChip marking is STM32F103R8T6Flashing a software package of 128KBytes seems to work! Verify after programming shows no error. Even after reading back the package I notice the memory size = 0x1FFFC (about 128K) and content seems intact. The aplication is running (including ROM memory check)!Does the device have more than 64KBytes memory ??

I coding in C/C++, and using SPI function through 'HAL_SPI_Transmit' and 'HAL_SPI_Receive'.TPM module send me only 'ff ff ff ff ... ff ff'.i see the tpm module's manual, but i can't understand.plz, tell me a few example code.
