Hello,We want to set the ECE threshold of the VL6180x.We are following the document DT0034 - VL6180X early convergence estimate implementation.SAMPLE = 119 (reg 0x10A)MAX_CONV = 15 (reg 0x01C)PERIOD = 48 (reg 0x10A)TIME = (SAMPLE + 1) * (24 + 70 + (PERIOD*10)) + 200TIME = 69080CONV_TIME = MAX_CONV * 1000 - TIMECONV_TIME = -54080Is it possible to have a negative convergence time and how to handle it?Thanks for your help,Thomas

hi , Actually i am using STM32h750 controller. In this i want to know that ,is watchdog expiry occurred / not while main program is in running. After initializing the IWDG the 26 bit in RCC_RSR register is going to set. So how i know by watchdog controller is going to restart. which register i need to check thank youregardssrikanth

Powered the development kit via micro USB.Running a simple LED toggle program.Using IAR 8.5 the code runs and I see LED getting toggled. If I generate hex and flash it via JLINK , I dont see the LED toggling.Tried repowering, pressing reset button.. It doesn't help. IAR optimization level is None.

Posted on November 14, 2016 at 12:42Hi, I'm working with M24LR Discovery set and I would like to get back to default settings and firmware of transceiver demonstration board. I've downloaded sources from ST website, but my environment has got a problem with compiling. Maybe someone has got binnary of default firmware of this board? Best regards, Mathew

Good afternoon everyone,I currently trying to implement an application with the ECompass feature using MotionEC library (and MotionMC library to improve precision and reliability of the data). My initialization failed (it looks like an infinit loop) inside the MotionMC_Initialize or MotionEC_Initialize functions. I don't understand why, especially because it worked well last week. The only thing that change between the two version is the CubeMx project, I checked and there is no difference (same pin, same name, same peripherals and same configuration).I firstly thought that the CRC module were not well initialized, but it is not the case, everything goes well during HAL drivers and peripherals initialization. Can someone help me understanding what is happening here ?Thanks,Have a nice day,Best regards,Julien Mongin.

I am looking for an example project for AWS cloud connectivity for STM32F769I Disco board. As per the product home page(https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f769idiscovery.html#overview), the board is AWS qualified. I installed X-CUBE-AWS expansion package, bug unable to locate example project for STM32F769.Any inputs/suggestions are appreciated.

I'm using STM32CubeMx 6.0.0 to develop for our STM32L4 board with a VL53L0X sensor on I2C. The X-CUBE-53L0A1 package is not listed, and attempting to load the zip file fails. Is this package supposed to be loadable? Or will I have to figure out how to interface the API myself? All the documentation in the API package seems to be for Windows and the Nucleo card, neither of which I use.

Hi I bought STM32F411E DISCO board for project and want to develop a custom USB Device for communication with PC I need some information on following How to use STM32CUBE software (IDE, Complier) with this board Where is Embedded software and libraries for this board

I wanna use big number in my board. So, i try to use 'gmp.h'.But when i use 'mpz_init' function, that have error message like this. -> 'undefined reference to `__gmpz_init''Should I make this function myself????

When using the Custom Template option in Cube MX 5.6 for the WB55, the generated "custom_stm.c" file contains some bugs in the "Custom_STM_App_Update_Char" function. Namely, the calls to "aci_gatt_update_char_value" mistakenly pass the characteristic handles twice rather than first passing the service handle and corresponding characteristic handle. I'm hoping this will be fixed in the next update to Cube MX.Additionally, I would have expected Cube MX to generate code for the cases in the "Custom_STM_Event_Handler" function. I filled the code out for the "EVT_BLUE_GATT_ATTRIBUTE_MODIFIED" case on the material from the WB workshop video (part 4) which seems to work, but it seemed fairly standard to me so I was wondering if it could just be generated by Cube MX in the future.

The most suitable parts are STM32L052 or STM32L072 48 pin or 64 pins parts or any other support VDD USB and how do I select that option using CubeMX?Secondly what is the USB_NOE pin for I can not find any reference to it. If I use it presumably I can't reprogram or debug once this pin has been selected where there is a conflict?Explanation - the application uses two NiMH batteries which do not always have 3V minimum supply for the USB port. So I either need to use 3 cells, a power switch over or some other means if I can not select a micro-controller that provides VDD USB.

Hi everyone,I am working on adapting cellular connection example of X-CUBE-Azure to my custom board and SIM5360 is the cellular modem. I know X-CUBE-CELLULAR is used in X-CUBE-Azure. After digging in a little, I found porting to my modem is a little confusing. In X-CUBE-CELLULAR cellular connectivity Expansion Package for STM32Cube - User manual (UM2426), it says Refer to the X-CUBE-CELLULAR cellular connectivity Expansion Package porting on other hardware application note (AN5249) for adaptation to other hardware such as the “Discovery IoT node cellular? set. However, I can't find AN5249 as my porting reference so is there any porting guideline available? Basically I just need to change the modem. Thanks in advance~SL61

I am using an STM32H745 and trying to get the ADC to run at 3.333 MSPS. Currently I am prototyping on a Nucleo-144 development board which has a LQFP144 package MCU on it. While according to the datasheet (page 185), I should be able to run an ADC at up to 3.6 or 3.35 MSPS at 16-bits resolution, I have found some information (page 15) that suggests the ADC cannot be run that fast unless I lower the bit resolution. Since the ADC was not keeping up, I tried lowering it to 10 bits since the actual data is not critical for this prototype (we will be using a TFBGA chip on our custom board which is better, though not the best). But the ADC still seems to be running at about half the rate that I am wanting. I am using the direct channel into ADC3 in order to get the best sample rate I can. I am using DMA to get the samples into memory. I am only using the M7 core currently.I have ADC3 setup in CubeMX with:Clock Prescaler: Asynchronous clock mode divided by 1Resolution: ADC 10-bit resolutionLe

I downloaded the recent webinar for the MEMS & Sensors MOOC. I've run through labs 1-5 okay but have a code version issue in Lab6.The lab calls for using:  "In X-CUBE-MEMS1/MEMS, Class “Board Component?: In AccGyr/LSM6DSO Selection I2C"My configuration is using STM32Cube V1.42 and my XCUBE-MEMS1 is updated to V8. But selecting Board Component there is only a v7.2 that is not compatible with STM32Cube 1.42.Is there a different package I should use to run the sensors MOOC on v1.4.2 or do I need to downgrade to make it work?I'm really looking forward to finishing all labs in this MOOC.Thanks,Brian

Hi all,how can i send in card emulation mode extended apdu? it's possible?

Hello,I wish to have a Scroll Whell containing a list of buttons and used this tutorial for that. The problem is, if I try to unroll from a button, it doesn't unroll. (If I unroll from a blank area, that's okay).I use a Scroll Whell as in the tutorial but it is not necessarily the best choice. I have tried with other widgets but cannot resolve my issue. My problem is similar to this I think but as a beginner in C ++ (not very comfortable with callbacks), something escapes me and I cannot resolve it.Here is my test code.Could you advise me on how to do this, please?Thank's

Dear all, I am looking to use the STPMIC1 in one new STM32MP15x design which will spend most of this time in standby mode. I am looking for STPMIC1 buck efficiency at light load (~1mA). In the datasheet there is numbers only for 150mA, 750mA and 1A. Is there any additonal numbers or graphics available somewhere ? I can see there is a special LP mode for light load but there is no indication about efficiency in LP mode. Many thanks in advance for your help

We have implemented a single ended ADC input to measure a voltage on our board. At low temperatures there is a significant error in the measurement.Going from +20C to -20C, the value we get from the ADC is ~92mV (114 counts) lower than it should be. We have measured the voltages of the pins on the board and they change by no more than 2mV (input pin; VCC is rock steady), or 2.5 counts. We're using STM32CubeMX to configure the part. I'm assuming that we must be doing something wrong with the ADC but I cannot see anywhere in the manual, data sheet or errata that points to an obvious problem. There is also an error as temperature increases, but it is much smaller.Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello!I have been working with the NFC05A1 NFC Reader in combination with a G070RB, but am momentarily stuck on how to use it in my own program.I have followed all the steps given in an other post with a person having close to the same issue: https://community.st.com/s/global-search/25R3911B?t=1595829552630But I keep getting errors left and right on includes and functions, which makes me come to a question whether all of this is needed for just a 'simple' program. My main question here is whether there is an easy way to implement a program to read the UID from an NFC Tag. It's all my program has to do, the example given in the X-CUBE-NFC5 seems a little too much for what I want it to do.Kind regards,Joey

For example how can i do this with stm32f030cc?

Hi, I have designed a small project on the STM32F042F6Px MCU, and wrote a piece of software for it. Then I tried to run it outside of the debugger, and realized it won't boot. I've spent many hours on it already, and now I run out of ideas. It looks like no code is executed at all if the MCU is just powered (does not matter if STlink cable is connected or not). Everything runs fine if I power it on, and then choose "Debug" in Atollic.I have stripped down the program of everything. No, really. I have even disabled everything in the startup file, so that only this remained:Reset_Handler: bl mainMy main function is just this:int main(void) { __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIOB->MODER |= 0b01 << (8*2); GPIOB->BSRR = GPIO_PIN_8; while (1) { }; }The result is that the PB8 line goes high when the app is run from the debugger, and is floating when run outside of debugger.I have even soldered another chip in case that one was faulty. No change.I have over 5 years of experience w

HiI am trying to configure I2C2 on an STM32F405RG on pins PB10/SCL and PB11/SDA, but I am getting very strange output on SDA. STM32 is I2C master. Using I2C example from STM32F4-Discovery folder.Using 4k7 ohm pull-ups to 3.3V.Is the output pin broken, or what could I have missed? Top is SCL and Bottom is SDA, trying to initiate communication repeatedly,I would have tried I2C1 instead but the MCU is on a custom PCB and those pins are already occupied.

Hello, I am trying to reproduce a Lwip project that was done on STM32CubeMX V5, and STM32CUBE FW_H7 V1.7.0. The project is very simple and consists of ethernet and lwip (httpd). The project works well on FW_H7 V1.7.0, but it does not compile on FW_H7 V1.8.0. The very same settings does not work on the newer firmware version. The error type is shown in the photo. Please help as this is really confusing. Thank you in advance for your help.

Using STM32F767 Nucleo board and STMCubeIDE I am trying to transmit SPI data with data size of 8bit per transaction while I have setup my SPI2 in Full Duplex mode.Problem is that although I am able to transmit from MCU and receive on slave side the data whatever I am trying to send that is "Hello World" message for a test. But with each byte I get one random data byte then the right data byte again as shown in attached screen shot decoded on Logic Analyzer. As I am trying to send 8 bit data while SPI_DR (data register ) is mapped as 32bit in register structure for SPI while only 16bit is used based on datasheet. It seems like that is the problem 8bit data is going ok but rest of the register gets transmitted too that has unknown values .What would be the best solution to force the 8bit data transfer on a 32bit register using C language?Following are my current configuration settings SPI_Handle_t SPI2Handle; SPI2Handle.Spix = SPI2; // SPI2 peripheral SPI2Handle.SPIConfig.SPI_Bus_Config =
