RNG, CRC, and DMA are all peripherals on the STM32L08x AHB bus. If I try to write to CRC_INIT before enabling CRC clock in RCC then STM32-WorkBench Memory window correctly just shows zeroes. But after enabling CRC clock in RCC_AHBENR and writing to CRC_INI, then value written is shown in Memory window. But if I do the same with RNG or DMA then those peripheral registers aren't accessible for writing after enabling the peripheral in RCC.Is there some special magic that has to be applied to enable clocks to those two peripherals?

I'm working with STM32F405, not sure if I'm asking question in right place, or if it matters... I'm working on a self-test for CRC FLASH (can't use libraries, just basic code). I notice that, for non-optimized code, the generated BIN file matches FLASH, but not for optimized code. Specifically: 1) In both cases, BIN file and FLASH are identical up to the end (size of) the BIN file. 2) In non-optimized case, the remaining FLASH is empty (assuming erase before program). Thus, to generate correct CRC on PC side (over BIN file), I'm just padding the BIN file with 0xFF bytes up to FLASH size.3) In optimized case, the remaining FLASH (past end of original BIN) has extra data in it. Is this expected? Can anyone explain what these extra bytes do? Or provide a link to some reading material on the topic? I can work around this, in my case, by stopping CRC check once only the BIN contents are read from FLASH, but prefer not to require BIN file size externally. Is there anything in the BIN im

Hello,I'm using the VL53L0X's API when I open the example project of rangewithsatellite and I compile the main programme, these error message is displaying to the console someone can tell me what should I do? Thank you this pictures show the error code

Hello ST Community,I'm planning to use the USB communication with a STM32H743ZI. Then, I will have to use an external power supply, since it doesn't have VDD50USB input. Furtherore, I will power this MCU with a 3.3Vcc. power supply. However, I read in the AN4938 (Getting started with STM32H74xI/G and STM32H75xI/G hardware development) the following statement:"During the power-on and power-down phases (VDD < VDD minimum value),VDD33USB should always be lower than VDD".If I connect directly the VDD33USB to the VDD, I won't be compliant with this recommendation. What would be the consequences during the power on/off? Is there a risk that the USB communication fails? In any case, would there be a power management IC that would you suggest to use if I wanted to be compliant with this recommendation? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi All, I'm using NUCLEO-F401RE + X-NUCLEO-IHM02A1 + NEMA17 stepper motor. Motor stalls above 6rps (1200steps/sec). I'm trying to use the standby mode of STM32F and waking it up by WKUP (PA0) pin.Going to standby seems OK, power consumption goes to 4 uA.If I reset MCU with RESET pin, it starts normally: after 250 ms delay it goes to sleep and consumes 4 uA https://i.stack.imgur.com/nDM6f.pngBut if I wake it up with WKUP pin it behaves strangely: consumption stays on a "run" level and I see cycles off my 250 delay, MCU keeps restarting instead of going to sleep.https://i.stack.imgur.com/KYPqM.pngMy code is really simple:#include <stm32f1xx_hal.h>     #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" #endif void SysTick_Handler(void) { HAL_IncTick(); HAL_SYSTICK_IRQHandler(); }   void Error_Handler() { __asm("bkpt 255"); __asm("bx lr"); }   void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = { 0 }; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = { 0 };   __HAL_RCC_AFIO_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators according to the specifi

Hi,when I tap on run it compiles my project, downloads it to my target and says finished. But my target STM32 still needs to be reseted manually to start what I have programmed. Why there is no reset after downloading?I am on the newest version of CubeIDE and use ST-Link V2 for programming.

I need a help. I want to interface 32nos of 32V Analog signals with microcontroller. i also need Ethernet connectivity. I've selected STM32F746ZGTx controller for my application. I want to know the industrial way for to interface these higher voltage level signals with STM32. I've also selected CD74HC4067 along with voltage divider circuitry please tell me if i am going in the right direction or not and kindly share sample of ethernet circuit and analog signal interfacing circuitry.

Hi everyone:I had bought a STEVAL-SPIN3204 for my BLDC motor project. There are two question I want to ask.1. I can't find STEVAL-SPIN3204 in Motor Control Workbench 5.4.4 list. 2. I can't find STSPIN32F0B in MCU list.Does anyone meet the same problem as i had? Please help as soon as possible. Many thanks.

Dear everyone,I am using Nucleo-F767ZI + FreeRTOS + LWIP + mbedtls generated my STM32CubeMX (latest version). When I use my code to connect and send data to www.google.com using HTTPS, everything works fine, however when the same code is used to connect to httpbin.org using HTTPS, the code fails in function mbedtls_ssl_handshake(&ssl) which returns code 76 (it is also the return code function mbedtls_net_recv()). The failure happens in function int mbedtls_ssl_handshake_client_step( mbedtls_ssl_context *ssl ) step MBEDTLS_SSL_SERVER_HELLO. My code is as below: void tcp_client_deinit(void) { uart_print("Deinit\r\n"); // mbedtls_net_free(&server_fd); mbedtls_ssl_free(&ssl); mbedtls_ssl_config_free(&conf); mbedtls_ctr_drbg_free(&ctr_drbg); mbedtls_entropy_free(&entropy); mbedtls_x509_crt_free(&cacert); }   void tcp_client_init(void) { // mbedtls_net_init(&server_fd);   while ((gnetif.ip_addr.addr == 0) || (gnetif.netmask.addr == 0) || (gnet

Hello, I am designing a power bank temperature controller that works by varying the PPS power profile to control a heating element's temperature. I am using an STM32G071RB mcu to handle the PD communication. I know that a PPS RDO is sent from the sink to the source in battery charging applications, but it would be simpler in my application if the source (Power bank with G0 mcu) could vary it's PPS voltage without the sink requesting it. Is this possible to do or must I send an RDO from the sink? The sink is a 100W (20V 5A) heating element with a thermocouple that is relaying its data over the usb 2.0 pins of its usb-c connector. The temperature controller code will be running on the power bank. If PPS can only work when the sink sends an RDO then the power bank will need to send a message to a G0 mcu in the sink with the RDO's that it will then send back to the power bank. This seems redundant as this is not a sink directed charging application. I would instead like to skip this step an

Hi.I am working on microcontroller STM32L072KZ and STM32CubeMX.I am trying to set a value of one pin depending on comparator value. I do not know how to do it in STM32CubeMX.I want to do it using only hardware, not software. Can anyone help me?

I have been able to build the STM32H7B3I_DISCO_2_Images_Loader from STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.3.0 project targeting STM32H7B3I_DISCO board. I have also been able to build the example file and use the Ymodem protocol for sending the UserApp.sfb file to the the board.Instead of the Ymodem protocol I am trying to use an I2C master device for sending the UserApp.sfb file. Looking at the example there is a lots of dependencies on the Ymodem protocol. Is there a way I can determine the file size from the sfb so I can use that in the I2C master for determining the number of bytes that needs to be sent to the STM32H7B3 board.I am looking for a break down of the sfb data structure, with the hope that I can get information such as the file size etc.

Hi,I want to controll a ST7032 Display Modul via I2C with a STM32G071G8 MCU. Unfortunately I can't manage to send data bytes to the Display. For sending data I use the HAL function HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit() as followed: (for testing)HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, 0x7C<<1, buffer, sizeof(buffer), 1); HAL_Delay(1000);where buffer is an array with two uint8_t values. The code above is looped every second for testing because I cant see data transmitted on the line. The following picture shows what can be seen. The Display controller seems to ACK the Adress but the MCU stops to send data.Does anybody knows the mistake?thanks for your support!Henning

Dear Community, for some time I've tried to set up the hardware of a STM32F429ZI to periodically trigger a discontinuous ADC conversion with 2 channels.I'm using TIM1 in PWM mode to generate CC interrupts with TIM CH3. The timer is running in center mode, counting up and down sequentially. The TIM1 CC3 interrupt is supposed to trigger the ADC conversion once per PWM period (when the counter is counting up).Testing the CC3 interrupt generation using the NVIC ISR and Osci shows expected behavior.Testing the ADC conversion timing using the ADC_IRQHandler shows 2 calls of this ISR in one PWM period. When I change the Capture Compare value of CH3 the two ADC_IRQHanlder calls shift symmetrically w.r.t. the center of the PWM period. Therefore I think that the ADC is triggered at both capture compare matches of CH3. I'd like it to be triggered only on the first capture compare event.Did I somewhere wrongly configured the timer or adc trigger setup? The timer configuration is as follows:/** ***

Hello, I'm trying to display a random String in TextArea.But when I call this function, there is too much ???? was displayed.Below is my code, anyone can tell me what's wrong?Many thanks, Hieu const char * test = "Hello World"; Unicode::snprintf(RoomHeaderNameBuffer, ROOMHEADERNAME_SIZE, "%s", test); RoomHeaderName.invalidate();And my TextArea Wildcard configuration RoomHeaderName.setXY(202, 13); RoomHeaderName.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(33, 49, 89)); RoomHeaderName.setLinespacing(0); Unicode::snprintf(RoomHeaderNameBuffer, ROOMHEADERNAME_SIZE, "%s", touchgfx::TypedText(T_SINGLEUSEID130).getText()); RoomHeaderName.setWildcard(RoomHeaderNameBuffer); RoomHeaderName.resizeToCurrentText(); RoomHeaderName.setTypedText(touchgfx::TypedText(T_SINGLEUSEID129));

Hello,a few weeks back, I downloaded UDE STK from pls-mc.com without any problems. Given the fact that I am facing a few problems with the debugger right now, I thought I might check for updates on the website. They have since changed the site quite a bit and I had to get an account in order to be able to access the "UDE Starter Kit Software" download category. Now that I have the account, I can see that this section is completely empty. So the problem is: I have an eval board and I can not download the current version of the STK for the Power Architecture - even though there is a license for the software on the eval board...Am I missing something here?

I have an SPI SD Card interface how can i log to my memory card using this module and Free RTOS+FATFS module .Please provide some examples program if possibles or other alternate solutions

Hello!I am desperately trying to get the PLS integration to work but it is failing in every regard. When trying to create a "Universal Debug Engine" Debug Configuration, I am greeted with this:I do have all recent updates applied in SPC5Studio.If I try to "Launch UDE Debugger on SPC5 Application":I am greeted with this:...no indication of any error, neither in Console nor in Problems view.

I'm using TouchGFX's dynamicBitmaps to load an image that I have in a buffer. The problem is that, even just using the example I found at this link https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/dynamic-bitmaps:BitmapId bmpId;     //Create dynamic bitmap   const int width = 32;   const int height = 24;   bmpId = Bitmap::dynamicBitmapCreate(32, 24, Bitmap::RGB565);   //set all pixels white if (bmpId != BITMAP_INVALID) { memset(Bitmap::dynamicBitmapGetAddress(bmpId), 0xFF, width*height*2); }   //Make Image widget show the dynamic bitmap image.setBitmap(Bitmap(bmpId));   //Position image and add to View image.setXY(20, 20);   container1.add(image);   and I set up the cache in the constructor of view as follows:. . . uint32_t bitmapCache[32 * 24 * 3]; . . . Bitmap::setCache((uint16_t*)bitmapCache, sizeof(bitmapCache), 1); . . .As soon as the container where I add the dynamicBitmap appears (in this cas

Dear Community,I have started to use the STM Cube Monitor but I do not see through yet. I want to monitor some input and output pins of a STM32F4 and therefore I need the HEX adresses to type in in the variable node. I think I have to use the register adresses for the pins which I can find in the IDR and ODR, right? Example: On pin 8 of port B (adress range of GPIO B = 0x4002 0400 - 0x400207FF) which is configured as an Output a LED is connected blinking at 1 Hz. The register offset for the ODR is 0x14. Which adress do I have to enter in the varibale node in the cube monitor? I found a formula to calculate the adress which says: adress = start_adress + (register_offset x 32 + bit_number x 4)and with that formula I got the adress 0x4002 06A0, which unfortunately did not work out. I got connection to my controller and the chart was "running", but no value was shown. Is that correct so far or where are the errors and how can I monitor I/O pins? I did not find information about my problem i

Hi all,Could someone help me to clarify about the power consumption of STM32WB55CG, I can't see the difference between 2 series STM32WB55Cx and STM32WB55Rx related to "Low power modes". But in my case, I can put STM32WB55Rx (In Nucleo board) to Stop 2 mode with only 2.5uA consumption but it cost 60uA with the STM32WB55Cx once (USB dongle). Here is the code I extracted from the ST ExampleLL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN); /* Configure all GPIO port pins in Analog Input mode (floating input trigger OFF) */ /* Note: Debug using ST-Link is not possible during the execution of this */ /* example because communication between ST-link and the device */ /* under test is done through UART. All GPIO pins are disabled (set */ /* to analog input mode) including UART I/O pins. */ GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; GPIO_InitStructure.Pin = GPIO_PIN_All; GPIO_InitStructure.Mode = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; GPIO_InitStructure.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;   HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_In

I add a function like "application().gotoScreen_startScreenSlideTransitionWest();"It works well in PC simulation, but it works in real board like the "application().gotoScreen_startScreenNoTransition".Maybe it need some setup to make it works in development board. So what should i do.

Hi Everyone,I'm designing an application with the ST25R95. It has several pins that are labeled as "NC".To improve the PCBA lay-out, particularly the GND plane under the IC, I want to connect as many as possible pins to GND. My Question:Can the "NC" pins of the ST25R95 be tied to GND (Not Connected pins) or should I leave these pins floating (Do Not Connect pins) ?Thanks in advance for sharing your insights.Casper van DoornePink Fluffy Unicorns BV
